Let me say first! The waiter, Ethan is the man! What a great server. He never let our drinks fall too low and was very attentive to our table although he was busy. He is great at what he does and seems to really like what he does which shows in his 5-star service. OH by the way, the food is top notch. So much flavor. Love this place!

My family and I went to El Toro for Valentines Day lunch. We had the best experience. We shared laughs, memories and delicious food. The restaurant was clean and the service was awesome. Brittany was our server and she was attentive and she got everyone's order perfect. Bianca the manager also checked on different tables including ours just to make sure everything was up to par. Thank you El Toro for making our special get together memorable. We will be back!

We had a great experience at El Toro in Clute! The food was wonderful, and the atmosphere made it even better. Alexis was especially friendly and accommodating — she really made us feel welcome. The El Dorado Special is officially my new favorite dish — absolutely delicious. Was unexpectedly delayed on a cross country trip, keeping me in the city of Clute, TX. A local took us to dinner at “the best Mexican food around”. He was NOT wrong! The food, service and atmosphere were amazing! So much so, we ended up there three different times that week! Our servers, Miguel, Miguel G and Romel were all great! We will be back!

I had a great experience at El Toro, and a huge part of that was thanks to Destiny! From the moment we sat down, she was warm, welcoming, and incredibly attentive. She made sure our drinks were full, checked in at just the right times, and gave fantastic menu recommendations that did not disappoint. If you’re dining at El Toro, definitely ask for Destiny... she’ll make your experience even better. We’ll absolutely be coming back

Our first time at El Toro was fantastic! We had over 30 people for a birthday lunch, and the service was phenomenal. Alex and Nathan provided fast, attentive, and high-quality service the entire time. They handled our large group with ease and made sure everyone had a great experience. We’ll definitely be back!

Outstanding experience from start to finish. Zac and the bar staff were absolutely top tier. Friendly, attentive, and they made sure everything kept moving without us ever having to ask. Drinks were perfect, service was quick, and the vibe made it easy to relax and enjoy being there. You can tell they take pride in what they do. Zac went above and beyond and the whole team matched that energy. Will definitely be back.

Ethan was excellent server. Attentive the entire time. Even when he was busy I did not feel like I was waiting for anything. Anticipates customers needs and fulfilled them as they came up. And it was busy so that's a bonus he was able to do that with a lot of people in the restaurant.

My man Erick waited on us and suggested a new appetizer hack: get the chicharones and the table guacamole. What an amazing combo. The food in this place is always delicious. I came all the way from Bay City to here and it was worth the drive. I believe Hector is the manager and he did an awesome job as well and made our conversation worth while.

I've never had a bad experience at El Toro. Definitely a go to spot for Tex-Mex. I decided to get the "new" Mole Enchilladas and I was not disappointed. It's not an authentic mole taste but I enjoyed them, juicy chicken with pickled onions on top with rice and borracho beans on the side. An excellent meal indeed!

We are lucky enough to live near El Toro and hadn't been there in awhile. Went yesterday though. After the fantastic lunch we had, we were reminded of why we used to be here at least 3 days per week. I had the Seis lunch special which includes 4 Brochette Shrimp, rice, onions n peppers, Pico, Guac and a Tostada. My husband had the Dos special with Beef Enchiladas. Our server was Nathan. He was one of the very best we've ever had. So attentive and nice. He is to be commended for his wonderful demeaner. El Toro is so lucky to have him! Thanks so much Nathan! The atmosphere was inviting, and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and well taken care of. Our server was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu, offering great recommendations and ensuring we had everything we needed throughout our meal. When our food arrived, we were blown away by the flavors, presentation, and generous portions. Every bite was packed with bold, authentic flavors, and you could truly taste the freshness and quality of the ingredients. Not only did El Toro exceed our expectations in terms of food and service, but the overall experience was one that we will remember and talk about for a long time. My sister was thoroughly impressed, and we were proud to have taken her to such a fantastic spot. Without a doubt, this has become one of our favorite restaurants in the area, and we will definitely be returning soon. We chose this restaurant based on great reviews and it was all the hype! Got there at 11am right as they opened and by 11:30, the place was packed. The service and food was some of the best I've had ever! The manager (Haley)came out and spoke after learning it was our first time and she gifted us this delicious slice of cake. The portions and quality is worth the $$$. It's on our must have when in the area. Excellent food and service!

Sever didn’t really know what was on the menu and wasn’t much help with questions we asked but food was delicious! Hopefully next time we will have a more experienced server. Update: the service issue was definitely a one time issue. We have been back multiple times and we have had excellent service every time!

Delicious food. Great service. First visit and we were impressed. Everything was perfect. Very pleased to find a restaurant with top notch quality in both the food and service. Makes my mouth water just thinking about it, can't wait to return.

Great esthetic. Very friendly service. The chips, salsa, queso & cremains verdi sauce were good. I am glad I asked if the beans or rice were vegetarian because they are not (lard in beans and chicken broth in rice). Margs were good and not light on the tequila. Our server was new in training and did a good job.

The tortilla soup with avocado is my absolute most favorite dish to get every time I come here and the complimentary fresh chips with salsas are always delicious too. Although, on Sunday I did get food poisoning from my meal. I had just came from church and had not eaten anything prior to going to El Toro. The soup did seem a bit off but I didn’t think much of it at the time but, I did end up needing to go to the hospital within 24 hours. Still, I don’t think anyone should be blamed nor should any new customers avoid this wonderful restaurant! Superb and friendly service, great price-to-portion ratio, and the tastiest of Tex-Mex food! Still one of my favorite places to eat when I visit Clute but I think I’ll let time pass before I feel comfortable trying it again haha…

Honestly, LA CASONA in Angleton is better overall, this place is pretty good, but I think some of the spices and flavors need to be worked on. Service is faster and better at LA CASONA also. Service was good. Waiter was good here but again overall la casona is better.

Came on a sunday evening. Sat at the bar. Service was prompt, polite and friendly. Bartender (richelle) made us nice margaritas. Food was okay. The salsas lacked flavor. Nachos were not worth the price. The tamale was not good. The enchilada (ground meat) lacked any spice. Lupe tortillas, sotos, Los cucos and mamacitas ... al local chains have better food for the price.

Prices have really gone up but food is delicious. My only big problem is the tortillas size. They are made child size so that you can only put a couple small pieces of meat in them if you want to add any rice and beans. I have got to go buy tortillas at the store just so I can make a decent fajita. I have tried to put 2 of them together but they just separate and food spills everywhere. We order out, being disabled, and order here at least twice a week. Think I may try another restaurant to see if any different.

Very good service with pretty good Tex-Mex food. Big serving and really nice beef steak fajitas. Worth of trying if you are near Angleton/Lake Jackson area!

Your new management is terrible. Your food quality has changed for the worst. Your prices are way overpriced for the food you get. What happened to all the good server's?? Every time I go in, the good server's who use to work there are gone. Just to let you know Brazoria County is a small County, people talk. Just letting you know from my circle of friends, we heard that you trespass employees that you fire. Is that true ? My circle of friends also heard you let go of an employee and they couldn't even get their last check. If you treat your employees like that, I wonder how you talk about your customers behind their back.. El Toro's use to be a great place to go, but I will never go back. You let go of the good management you use to have , you let go of the good servers and the food quality is horrible along with the serving size. it's not worth the money. honestly, Las Casonas is way better. Will not be going to El Toro's ever again. Especially after hearing how you treat your employees when you let them go. I'm just letting you know Brazoria County is all about Word of mouth.

What happened to El Toro's?? Ever since the change in management this place has gone down hill.. it's a shame, it use to be a great place to eat.. If you get refried beans, you barely get 2 spoonfuls. The food quality has gone way down since they changed management. The prices have gone up. It's just not what it used to be, I won't come back anymore, they got rid of too many good servers.

What happened to this place? Officially the worst Texmex experience I've had anywhere, just insulting. The waiter couldn't have cared less that our table existed as he constantly walked away mid-conversation and mid-drink order, and wore black rubber gloves as if he'd just finished unclogging a sink in the back. Fajitas were made from, what seemed like, an Applebee's-style thawed-then-microwaved packet of disgusting vegetables and meat, dropped on a hot skillet for appearances sake. To make matters worse our brilliant server then forgot to bring guac and pico for all our fajita orders (party of 8) and gave no apologies or cares about screwing up that part of the plate, finally bringing them out as we finished up. We've been coming here for decades at this point and now simply cannot recommend. Expensive too!

Really disappointed with my experience tonight. Placed an online order for 11am last night. Had a family emergency a few hours later and couldn’t figure out how to either cancel my order or change the time on it. So I waited until they opened and called to see what we could do for my order. A lady manager said she understood my issue and that they would remake my order this evening to pick up. So I thought that was very amazing of her. Called them around 7:30pm that we were on the way and they said they would start working on it now. Turns out they just kept the original order from 11 am and just reheated it (8 hours later when I called to go pick it up. How do I know? Salsa was warm, not cold as usual. Food was barely warm. The cheese for the tortilla soup was pretty much melted together. Tortilla stripes were soggy. No avocado. But we said ok. Well take this lose and eat it. Yeah. Guess who is now having stomach issues now. Will not be going back. I should have taken pictures of said food to show how the soups (should have stated that earlier) were thick and murky. The trimmings were soft like they were old. But we tried eating half and just gave up and threw it away. Which is sad. I wouldn’t even think about giving it to my dog.
