We ate dinner here two nights in a row because it was so good! The first night they filet my fish in front of me just before serving... I'm the difficult one gluten-free and pescatarian, they were very accommodating and the food was delicious! Everyone else in our party, six of us total, had typical Italian dishes, some even had the fish the 2nd night, very fresh, perfectly seasoned, pasta dishes were all spot on, great wine selection and they complementary round of lemoncello to finish it off. Wonderful staff, highly recommend!

I don't know how Google reviews are so wrong. This place actually a 5 star. What food, staff and service.. just amazing. I had sea food spaghetti and it was mind blowing. The staff is so friendly and they serve food with passion. Excellent pizza and pastas. I would definitely come back to Como for this.

We enjoyed a terrific dinner tonight at Pizzeria Vecchia Tavernola on Lake Como. The bruschette had a great garlic flavor. The Chianti was a perfect wine with our spaghetti alla vongole and homemade lasagna al forno. The seafood in the Fritto Misto dish was fried perfectly and flavorful. The service and outdoor dining were excellent! Wonderful last evening in the Lake Como area!

We stop here every year to have our last Pizza, on our way back to germany. The food is very amazing and the staff is not only very friendly and welcoming, but it's the same persons after the 10+. We are more than happy with this restaurant.

Incredible Food & Amazing Service! Pizzeria Vecchia Tavernola is hands down one of the best restaurants I’ve been to in a long time! The pasta I had was absolutely amazing—full of flavor and perfectly cooked. The staff was incredibly attentive, friendly, and welcoming, making the whole experience even better. If you’re looking for delicious food, great service, and a warm atmosphere, this place is a must-visit. I highly recommend it and will definitely be coming back!

What a great restaurant.. We had my favorite ( Spaghetti with garlic and olive oil,, penne arrabbiata, pizza margherita, & mixed fried seafood. All dishes were very good. Excellent service.. Friendly staff

My daughter and I were looking for somewhere nice to eat after a late arrival in Como. We walked past this restaurant since it was very quiet and only had a couple of people dining inside and on the terrace, so it didn't seem too promising. Due to a lack of options within walking distance, we settled on trying it out, and we were delighted in every way. After a few days in Italy, this was the first time I felt like I was eating authentic, home cooked Italian food. Don't be fooled by its unassuming appearance. This place is a gem. Outstanding service and hospitality, delicious food and the kindest, friendliest people serving/running it. I'll be back tomorrow The only reason I didn't give 5 stars for the atmosphere is because it would have been perfect as a waterfront experience with music playing, but the terrace overlooks a parking lot. It won't stop me from choosing it as my restaurant of choice while on Como. They even made sure that myself and my daughter arrived safely back to our camper late on Friday night.

Dropped into this restaurant along the waterfront after another local restaurant refused to serve us due to unknown reason. I checked the Google reviews and was a bit skeptical whether to try it. But we’ve been traveling for over 20 hours to finally get to Lake Como so we were tired out and just wanted to grab a meal and head to bed. The host/waiter was very attentive and welcoming. He greeted us immediately and had us seated immediately. We saw the place was pretty packed with people speaking Italian so we assume they’re either locals or tourists from other part of this country. That was a good indicator the food must be pretty good. We ordered a chicken salad, grilled sea bream, and an arugula pizza. The food took awhile to come out since we asked them to bring everything together. The pizza came out great and certainly did not disappoint. The crust is much like Indian nann, which I absolutely love! And the grilled sea bream were well seasoned and texture. It definitely was a lot better than the frozen fish I’m accustomed to eating in the states. The salad was good but I wasn’t expecting so much lettuce versus the greens I get with most other Mediterranean salad. There were only two of us but we finished all the pizza and sea bream. We didn’t finish the salad because we ended up swatting a mosquito that landed on it and it had some blood spattered over the salad. So we just left some of it uneaten. But clearly there were more food than our stomachs can accommodate. We were stuffed but the food is worth stuffing. I wish we had room for a tiramisu since they looked really good (cake like). Prices are really cheap but food is definitely wonderful. I’d strongly recommend giving this restaurant a try. They even have ample of free parking behind the restaurant. Well done, guys! Thanks for the wonderful food and your hospitality!

This is one of best little restaurants in Como area in northern Italy. Its unassuming appearance is hiding a gem of a restaurator couple - Italian citizens of Turkish origin who go to unheard of lengths to make their guests happy, not to mention fully sated with great examples of local cuisine. The highly experienced operator seems to know exactly what his hungry customers want. His wife is an extremely accomplished pastry chef serves a great selection of desserts which she makes in-house from fresh ingredients daily. Make sure that you have enough room left in your tummy for her creations, or else you will feel very uncomfortable if you succumb to the temptation of the desserts -which I bet your mom didn't know how to make- after the delicious meal you've just eaten. All in all, this restaurant deserves a dedicated trip to enjoy the excellent food, excellent wines and especially the desserts which are beyond excellent. Edited to add: After posting this review, I saw many negative opinions about this restaurant in these pages. Those are totally uncalled for and can't be based on totally objective honesty. This restaurant deserves to be recognized for what it is: a gem of a genuine family establishment.

Alla Vecchia Tavernola di Como, ho mangiato un primo piatto di pesce, che era buono, accompagnato da vino e pane. I camerieri erano simpatici. Per quanto riguarda il dolce, il prezzo è stato una sorpresa: due tiramisù per me e il mio amico sono costati 17 euro, che sembra un prezzo per 3-4 persone. Capisco la situazione, ma non è giusto. Per favore, la prossima volta aggiungete i prezzi dei dolci nel menu, in modo che i clienti possano vedere quanto costano. Altrimenti, la gente dovrà chiedere il prezzo ai camerieri…?? Se i dolci costassero 4 o 5 euro, sono sicuro che ci sarebbe molta più richiesta.

Ottima pizzeria gestita in modo familiare, prezzi mai aumentati e personale gentile. Non ho mai assaggiato la cucina ma solo la pizza.

A cena con un amico, abbiamo mangiato un primo di frutti di mare e un fritto misto. Buoni piatti preparati molto bene con porzioni abbondanti. Buono anche il servizio. La carta è ben fornita.

Mi sono fermato per un pranzo veloce alla pizzeria vecchia Tavernola nei pressi di Cernobbio, ho avuto l'occasione di assaggiare una pizza gorgonzola e speck, mentre i miei commensali hanno optato per una Margherita, una Ortolana e una Diavola. La qualità delle pizze è stata nella norma, niente di particolarmente speciale, ma comunque soddisfacente. Il servizio è stato rapido e efficiente, con il personale che ha dimostrato cortesia e professionalità. L'ambiente della pizzeria era pulito e accogliente, contribuendo a un'esperienza piacevole. Tuttavia, ho trovato i prezzi leggermente elevati, probabilmente a causa della posizione privilegiata vicino al lago. Nonostante la location suggestiva, il costo non mi è sembrato giustificato rispetto alla qualità del cibo offerto. In conclusione, la pizzeria vicino a Cernobbio offre un'esperienza nella media, con un servizio veloce e ambienti puliti. Tuttavia, i prezzi potrebbero scoraggiare chi cerca un buon rapporto qualità-prezzo.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Siamo stati in questa pizzeria per una cena tra amici. Locale accogliente, servizio cortese e tempi d’attesa nella norma. La pizza buona,la frittura di calamari non unti senza particolari guizzi ma comunque piacevole. Un’esperienza nella media, perfetta per una serata tranquilla.

Domenica, con la famiglia siamo venuti a mangiare la pizza. In attesa che arrivassero gli altri, abbiamo fatto l'aperitivo. 2 Spriz e un aperol, un pacchetto di patatine Totale €28,50 Prezzi alti, servizio scarso. Pizza e birra media €22,50. Siamo usciti senza neanche bere il caffè.

Locale molto semplice, senza alcuna attenzione all’estetica. Ci siamo capitati per caso e la delusione è stata la pizza: impasto e sapori davvero nella media. Prezzi un po’ troppo alti per un posto così basico. Non è un disastro, ma sinceramente non ci tornerei.

Pranzo di lavoro. Di passaggio da Cernobbio, ho fatto una sosta per il pranzo alla Trattoria "Vecchia Tavernola". La trattoria beneficia di un parcheggio interno  privato,  che a volte si trova nelle vecchie locande di paese e, vista la zona è sicuramente una grande comodità ed una caratteristica positiva per l'esercizio commerciale. La location interna risponde esattamente alle aspettative scaturite dalla prima impressione, peccato che il locale non fosse ben riscaldato. Si percepiva chiaramente che il riscaldamento era stato acceso da troppo poco tempo, inoltre all'ingresso della sala, campeggiava una lampada a raggi infrarossi, pericolosamente appoggiata sul un tavolo vicino ai tavoli dedicati ai commensali, e la cui finalità era palesemente quello di dare sostegno al riscaldamento insufficiente. Riguardo al menu, abbiamo ordinato un risotto ai frutti di mare,  che a mio avviso era cotto in maniera corretta, ma è risultato un po' sciapo  ed insignificante. In particolare non avrebbe guastato certamente la presenza di qualche frutto di mare in più, ed un po' più di carattere, visto che la loro specialità è il pesce di mare !! Il servizio  è stato buono, con tempistiche corrette,  il personale gentile e professionale. Ciò detto, a mio avviso si sono meritati un cinque meno meno, ma potrebbero fare meglio, con un minimo di impegno in più. In sostanza un giudizio negativo anche in rapporto alla qualità / prezzo.

Assolutamente da evitare. Abbiamo ordinato il risotto al persico tipica specialità del lago e ci hanno presentato un risotto alla panna con sopra 3 filetti fritti !! Se ci fosse una votazione sotto zero sarebbe da 5 stelle sotto zero. Per di piu' caro e gestito non da italiani. Siamo scappati lasciando tutto.

Probabilmente nel loro paese di origine cucinano così, qui hanno adeguato solo i prezzi ... Un antipasto di affettati in 2 ..due risotti con il persico....nel senso con 3 pezzi di pesce fritto appoggiato sul risotto...e due birre ...74 euro ....
