my niece and I stopped in here on our way to the Titanic Exhibit in Los Angeles. it was busy but did expect that. some of the ones dining there were a little too far out there but all in all, it wasn't too bad.

We went on a pretty busy occasion. I thought the wait was going to be a lot since there were alot of people waiting but they assisted us fast( party of 6). Invited to Sunday morning breakfast at IHOP, we set the breakfast sit-down for 9:00am, we arrived at 9:30am the restaurant was already full of waiting guests, some large family groups were waiting outside, we signed in, with two people we were seated within 5 mins, seated at a nice booth (no window) but cozy and our waitress was attentive and polite, took our order within 5 minutes, our breakfast was delivered 10 - 12 minutes later as ordered. Without asking, the waitress brought us fresh coffee, condiments and extra napkins, asking if we needed anything else before moving on to other customers. In about 30 - 35 minutes (as we were almost finish) the waitress brought the check, again asking, would we need anything else, this waitress was great! The food of course was delicious and well prepared for my taste (I'm kinda picky), the restaurant was full of families enjoying Sunday morning breakfast, the atmosphere was loud with languages and voices, I could barely hear myself speak, so we decided not to stay to discuss business matters. My friend wanted to treat me this time, so I don't know if she decided to tip the waitress, (I usually tip 20-25 percent when the table service is GREAT!!!) Well, I would definitely go again if invited. I told my friend thanks next time my treat. We both laughed. I gave this IHOP in Compton 5+ stars, because who would have guessed that they would be that fantastic! No compliant (didn't visit the restroom, but my friend said it was small but moderately clean)

The food here was DELICIOUS!! And the customer service from our waitress was superb!! Gave her a generous tip because she made sure we had everything we needed!! Only complaint was about the LAZY male host that didn't take my payment... Made me go back to the waitress so she can do it... All he was doing was waiting around seating people while the waitress was busy with all her tables on a Sunday morning during brunch hours... She too was surprised I was sent back to her but she graciously took my payment...

I completed a survey on Tuesday 2/4/25 after I made a purchase and received an email for a free stack of pancakes well the code wouldn't work for some reason. Guillermo was very helpful he took a picture of the email and still completed my order. I really appreciated that. I live in Compton and hadn't been here in at least 5 years, it used to be ghetto and food was just terrible. We were feeling some breakfast and decided to give It another shot. The food didn't disappoint and the service was great. The only thing I felt was the restaurant felt a little dated, don't know if it was the carpet or booths, but it just felt a little stuffy. Other than that, we were pretty satisfied and wouldn't mind going back sooner this time.

Had a late breakfast here today. The place was at full capacity for covid restrictions, we were seated in about 20 min. Staff were extra friendly and accommodating, food was fresh and hot. We had a small incident of a coffee spill as it was being delivered, it was hot but it was an accident. The management were all over, super nice and helpful. Lidocaine cream appeared and was applied to the burned area. They kept checking on us but we told them not to worry, it was all going to be ok. Despite that, our server was already great and attentive, the food came in a timely manner and all was well. We were very happy with this location, and highly recommend visiting.

It had been a very long time since I visited IHOP, the staff was very friendly, professional and attentive. The food was good I had one of the new bowls (the classic) an omelet in a bowl. It was good just not enough food, the bacon wasn't crispy enough. But the pancakes were very good the best they had been in years. Fast friendly service!!! Our server was Maria and she did a great job and checked up on us frequently. Food tasted great, only complaint is someone at our table got their eggs prepared wrong.

Great service. Great food. Short wait each time I've been there. I went during the week before 11am. I usually get the same waitress and she's awesome. I just hate the parking. The parking lot is always crowded so I have to park further. I guess a little exercise won't hurt.

I had the chicken fry steak n eggs. Chicken side was good but not enough gravy.. I like that it brings with pancake on the side...not white toast. And the coffee is already in to go cup. Nicely done...

Service was a little slow especially considering it wasn't very busy but the classic IHOP/IHOB burger was pretty good. The fact that it's at a temporary lower price probably helped it taste better too. I wouldn't have paid the regular menu price of $11.99.

The food is Great as usual like the others restaurants but I had a Very Bad Waiter lady !! Before I Get my Check I ask her Nicely if I can get A Box to Go she say yes at the Beginning but at the End I have to tell her 3 times to she can hand it to me she kept forgetting Then she bring me a plastic bag instead of the Box!!! Oh well no tip for that lady I guess!! So be aware of this... once in while you get a Terrible waiter.

If you don't get there early you are not getting a seat anytime soon. But the service is decent and the food... Well it's high IHOP so if you've had it once you've had it everywhere. Except I think I have has changed their pancake recipe because they were very gooey and not undercooked like gooey. I don't know... I just didn't enjoy the pancakes. But I took my niece as my date and she enjoyed it.

This location is by far my favorite of all the IHOP’s I have visited. Fast service. Wait time is always good even when they have a lot of people waiting. The employees are friendly and attentive. Food arrives quickly. The food is great. Good quality always. I highly recommend their country fried steak. I’ve had it in several locations and this is always a hit. The only thing is their t bone steak isn’t what you expect. Visually not appealing or cooked how you expect a steak to be cooked at any establishment. But overall everything else has been great every time I have visit. The steak made them not be perfect in my personal opinion.I live and I learn of what not to order.

Service was slow n a bit over the price for what I'd ordered. Customers service could be a little better but what do one expected due to area. Had a turkey dinner with the corn n mash potatoes. Quantity was below what I'd expected. Barely any corn n maybe a pot spoon of mash potatoes with too much gravy. It's best to stick with the pancakes meal. It was a waste of 13 buck to me. Denny would had done a whole lot better. My opinion do let's stick to the pancakes n eggs.

I went to this Compton location for the first time yesterday evening. I bought the simple 2+2+2 breakfast for my mother and garden omelette with three pancakes for myself. My mother didn't like the pancakes. She told me they felt too soft and crumbly. I enjoyed my omelette and pancakes. I will say, though, the quality has suffered since its heyday during the 80s. Back then I ate at the Pasadena location (end of the 110 fwy) several times a month and when they were at the Figueroa and Jefferson location in Los Angeles. The food tasted excellent. Didn't have many items on the menu like they do now. Quality was much better.

I went Christmas day. Not many patrons there, but my order kept getting messed up. I ordered the chicken fajita omelette (no onions) w/pancakes. First, I didn't get my pancakes. Had to wait for those to come out. While I waited, I started to eat my omelette. It had onions on it, so my server had to take it back. Then my lady had waffles with her order when she ordered chicken and pancakes. A little disappointed, but the food tasted good. No accommodations were made for the inconvenience

Mixed feeling about this visit. I went with two young adult children. The place was comfortably busy. Seated quickly food was warm and my Tilapia very tasty. Only problem was that a family was seated behind me with a boy of maybe ten and he screamed in my ear. My ear is still throbbing.

We had a party of 6 and were seated immediately. Our server came over and asked if we wanted waters. We said ‘yes’, he came back with waters and did not return for 17 minutes. He waited on other tables, but never came back to check on us or ask if we needed additional time. The food came out for two tables that were seated after us, but we didn’t complain. When we did get our food, it was just as ordered and very good.

A little overpriced, but in line with the price. I like that you can put a lot of syrup on it. pancakes are still the best. Not a very nice area, but this IHOP was ok.

I understand it was a busy morning but Our waitress was not on top of things. A few things bothered me, we got served coffee in paper cups with lids and my initial thought was it was new precautions for covid but then i noticed everyone else was getting their hot drinks in mugs. On top of that my toast didnt come buttered and it was cold so even when i asked for butter it wouldn't have melted on my bread.... it was overall pretty disappointing. These things probably aren't big deals to some people but it's why I'm rating this location a 2 star.

Good service. Wait not to long. Clean Recently went to ihop for the $5 2ggs, 2 bacon, 2 pancake breakfast and coffee. My bacon had to be sent back because it was not cooked as ordered. Coffee was not fresh had to be replaced with a fresh pot of coffee. No favored creamer. Service and food not good as it was before. Will not go to that ihop again.

The food is what's to be expected from IHOP. However the customer service was not that good. Do you even have a system for keeping track of customers and the orders? Or do you just wing it every day? Every time I pick up my sister's orders there's is absolute chaos inside with people sitting inside and definitely not 6ft apart. Do you not know about the covid regulations or do you just not care? It's jammed pack and not a single staff member tells them to stay apart or wait outside for their food. This is absolutely ridiculous and negligent... At least they turned away the lady who tried coming without a mask.

I've always considered everything and everyone in a restaurant. BUT this restaurant really disappointed me in every way. Late table service. Food took quiet some time. The ladies next to my friend and I, their food took forever. I don't know if it was bad system, poor managing, lack of communication or low staffing but I've never been upset. I didn't even finish my food bc it didn't even look close to what I ordered. I've never been a picky eater but in my opinion they could've done better.

I was excited to eat some ihop since I havent had some in a long while, found a spot near me.....they close at 12am, perfect!!! I placed an order for pick up via phone on a Saturday. I ordered 3 meals. Two meals were the exact same. I was told 25 minutes before I could pick up. I arrived and was told my food was being packaged. 20 minutes later, still no food. I asked a different person about my order, and he checked and said they are cooking it now. I was confused because I was told 20 minutes earlier that it was being packed up for me. Who I assumed to be the manager came up and asked if I had been helped. I replied yes and no. I told him I placed an order over an hour ago and still had not received my food. He asked if I had paid, and I said not yet. He said he would take 20% off my meal. That was a nice gesture. I accepted, and my food came out 2 minutes after paying. It was all wrong! I always check my food wherever I go. My meals were not correct, and as I was checking, the manager was trying to over talk me. I had to interject and let him know I knew exactly what I ordered. It took another 15 minutes for the correction. The place was busy. I understand mistakes happen. But if you can't handle the foot traffic along with phone and internet orders, then hire those that can. I'm not a fan of this particular location.

When I visit this IHOP in Compton. I had great expectations until I walked in. Were there seated for 30 minutes? Food came cold to the table with the hair in it. And I saw people getting served before us. And we were there before then. We were patient not calling anyone out on anything. Just asking when we were gonna be were trying to be nice about it, but seem like they didn't give a darn. Never went back never went back and don't plan on it

I used to like this IHOP, they had good service and good food. I won't be returning though, the last time I went was horrible. My food was cold, missing items, the server was rude and didn't care at all about any of our questions. The server said "I'll bring the check" without asking if we were done. Not sure what happened, but the service and food went downhill.

Out of all the years that I've been going to this IHOP I have never had bad service however we went on August 18th and the service was horrible they set us with a server who did not speak English well nor she understand it.. She never come asked how we were doing, when she brought us the bill she sat the bill down as she was walking past the table, but she did ask the Hispanic people sitting behind us how they were doing and if they needed anything, horrible horrible horrible. When we were getting ready to pay, my husband have the money in his hand and she just took the money out of his hand. I wanted to talk to the manager but my husband did not want me to make a scene. Nonetheless we will not be going back to this IHOP which is sad because it's local, we will be going to the one in Carson from now on.

Unfortunately not every place is uniform like it should be. This place was such a big disappointment and let down compared to other locations I've been to. If you have never been to a ihop before this location will try to trick you into buying the most expensive items on the menu and will only give you the menu with the better cheap deals they have to offer only if you know and ask for it. The service was really sad both by the manager and our server who never gave us or offered refills on our drinks and only gave us some small packets of old fashioned syrup and never offered the other good flavors they carry like blue berry or strawberry etc.. till we asked for them and then brought us little clear small containers since they didn't even have the pitchers of different flavored syrups that usually every other ihop locations carry. Just because this place isn't located in the best location doesn't mean the service and customer service and deals should be so bad. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this location. Thanks

Zero stars should really be an option this place is horrible I placed and order like 30 minutes ago I come pick it up and no one is answering the Phones they hang up and I have to call again just to wait on the phone again and no answer. So I decided to walk in and ask for my order the girl in the front says my order isn’t ready yet and that I’ll have to wait for another 35 minutes, so I ask why if I’ve been waiting already so just cancel my order because I am not waiting any longer, Her customer service needs work her answer was I don’t care and her attitude over all the worst, where is the management in this place because they need to hire better people with actual knowledge on how to go about certain situations, this place needs a new hire in the front desk!

Mom had a terrible experience this place today. She sat on the table for 25 minutes and no waitress approached her. She sat there and ask the manager why she did not get her order after sitting down for almost half hour. The manager hold her face and said I sorry I’m very stressed I forgot u here. Mom told her that’s not acceptable and she said there are short on stuff . I will take this issue to corporate because it’s not acceptable. If it was racial motivated I don’t know. I don’t recommend this place if ur a minority. Very dissatisfied bad experience. 😩😩😩

I'm not one to complain but seriously the service at this location is horrible! If I could give zero stars I would. Our waitress was Arianna C. She took our order brought our food along with receipt and never came back to check on us. We literally had to ask other waiters to call her for us & of course she never came, when we got tired of waiting I asked a random employee to charge us because we had at that point been waiting for over 20mins without being helped. Save yourself some time and avoid a headache & just go to a different location.

The service was really lousy we had to ask for water, condiments, containers, and our food to be warmed up more than twice. We also had to ask more than 1 staff member to accommodate us. The waitress had the Audacity to ask us did we need change back after we paid didn't even wait for us to offer a tip which by the way I felt it was very unprofessional I would never come here to this location again!

Although you get seated fast, it’s a very long wait to get your food. I mean very long wait over half an hr. The quality of food is poor and not cheap. Price I dnt mind if it was good. I love ihop but this location didn’t meet my expectations that I have of other locations..

First time was happy with service and the food. So I went back today was not happy when I saw they charged me 10 dollars more on my card. I left Cash tip on the table. The first time paid cash so they couldn't charge me what they wanted. So if you pay with card be aware that they're going to charge you what they feel like.

The food was good but the service was horrible. It was very slow, so we expected service to be on point since there was only a few people in there. Once the server took our orders, we no longer saw her. Somebody from the kitchen brought our food to us and we didn't even get our drinks until it was time to pay for dinner. Luckily, the same worker from the kitchen who brought our food to us gave us our drinks. She should have been our server instead of that lousy waitress. Nobody checked on us to see if we needed a refill or ketchup or anything. Then, when it was time to pay the bill. The workers acted like they didn't check us out. My husband was like, "Do, they want us to dine and ditch." We payed our bill but we refused to leave a tip. Poor service should not be rewarded. Needless, to say we will never be back at this location.

honestly I never do bad reviews as I regional manager myself, being patient is something I understand but goodly when you have a 2hours and then being told it's gonna be another 30 to 40mins its just plane unprofessional. where is the manager? the manager was hiding? district manager is welcome to out reach. horrible service

Ordered online car side pick up at 2pm and the food was ready at 4:50 ish when the email stated it would be ready at 3:32. Taking into consideration it was a holiday but like it was almost a two hour wait. I called the number for car side pick up too once we arrived and they never picked up. They need a new manager tbh maybe they were understaffed ?? Idk never coming here again tho lol

I love the food but any time I come after 9 pm when u guys close at 10 , it’s always a different excuse. I used to work in the food industry so I understand wanting to close a little early but I literally just was there at 9:06 pm.,.,,. And last time it was like 914pm…… yall gonna lose a lot of business just cus you don’t want to clean a table and a couple of plates….

My server was my friend’s dad he was very nice. The food was ok. The Items like forks spoons and tea pot kettle had stains on it the place was dirty, service was good, food was okay. I would recommend the one in Gardena Overall Visit okay.

They served us pancakes that had only been cooked on one side, and the bacon was not cooked thoroughly.

Wait time not bad. Once we were seated they gave us a small table for a party of 8. They said they had no more tables. We waited 15 minutes for the menus. Another 10 for drinks, not to say the wait time on the food. Host seemed to be rushing on orders. When asked for soft drinks they said they were out, but were serving soft drinks on other customers. Not to mention they told us they had no utensils and were given plastic ones. I don't give reviews but this one made the exception. Not happy at all with their service.

I came in and gave my name for a party of 8 they said it would be 1hr wait. I told them it was okay to give us 2 tables if it’s faster versus having to wait for a big table to become available. We waited outside and then as the hour was closer we waited in the lobby. I noticed that parties of 5 that were here way after me were being called and seated. When I asked about wait time they said they forgot to write the name down on the list she only wrote it on her note pad. They said they would take care of us BUT continued to have us wait and they kept calling other people that were here way after me. When we asked to talk to the manager they finally took us in and sited us in 2 separate tables. They didn’t bring us our drinks, we waited for another 25min and told us to move to a big table. We said we were ready to order and they told us they’ll bring the drinks first and then come back to take the order. Worst service ever.

This happened March 12, 2024 at approximately 12:45pm. After waiting several minutes, I told a server that we have to order because my friend and I need to get bac to work. A few more minutes passed and the man who seated us came to the table and said there is a delay because "we only have two servers today. I can get you drinks." I said "we have to leave." In a SMART MOUTH tone of voice he said, "Bye." We will never go there again!

Online says 12 am. We were 45 mins away from home and this was the nearest IHOP we were so exicted and when we arrived the person cleaning just looked at us and looked away. Its my sisters birthday very inconvenient!Please change your hours on Google.

I placed a order through their website with a 20 minute ETA pick up time, I show up and the order hasn't been started. After waiting for about 25 minutes I asked the host to cancel it. The place was empty so I don't know why my SMALL order for two people would take 45 minutes to prepare.

Maybe if staff would have verified information at pickup, they would have realized something was not right! went to eat with my parents they took so long to seat us when we were finally seated they took about 10-15 minutes to take our order then another 15-25 minutes to give us our food. we ordered coffee and gave about 6 creams and no sugar asked for extras and only gave us 3 more creamers and sugars the waiter was so shy and this isn’t the first time happening very bad service
