It was my first time to this Restaurant and I left highly satisfied- I was greeted upon entry and seated right away. The lady who had helped me was patient in awaiting my order; the Kimchi Fried Rice and Egg was delicious! I have been to other places where the Fried Rice would be mush, but not here~ I look forward to eating more in the Future~
Simple experience, but food is consistent and flavorful. They have some really delicious iced teas. Great spot!
The food was authentic and high quality. The service was great. Definitely recommend.
I tried galbi, bulgogi and kimchi stew soup and they were amazing! Their portion is more than any other korean restaurant. When you have a family gathering, you should definitely try Korea House.
Wife and I came here for our anniversary and it's our new favorite Concord Korean BBQ spot. The two women running the front were so nice and attentive. Can't go wrong with the Galbi, Bulgogi, and Japchae!
A restaurant should focus on food, and this place has definitely nailed on the flavor for sure. I normally don't review publicly, but this place surely deserves it. Out of many korean places in the area, the food here was closest to korean. Also, the ambiance and seating areas were all descent and clean. And I must say the choice of side dishes (banchan) was better than many other places in the area. I just hope it stays the same and keeps their basics right. That's all that matters at the end. 🫰✌️ Kamsahamnida😊
Very nice atmosphere and the staff were extremely quick and accommodating with our requests. I could tell the food was made with immense care. I'd definitely come again.
Ordered bi bim bab, tofu soup and Kalbi here and the food was fantastic! The taste is authentic and the portions of food and Bandhan were really good. A hidden gem of a restaurant in the Concord area. Highly recommended!
Best Korean food we ever had. Love it. Thank you Koreanhouse for lovely and kind service. I forgot to get serving lady's name. Her service was amazing.❤
This was my first time eating Korean food and it was just amazing. I had the Kimchi Fried rice and it was delicious. The waitress was really sweet, she came by to ask if it was too spicy but I told her not, I had eaten to fat. The side were sooo fresh. Man. I will be back. 10/10
If you want to try any good Korean dish, this is the place to be. You cannot go wrong with any dish here. Every dish is solid. They are not the absolute best, but great value overall. They offer good portions and taste.
The food was delicious. We got rice cake soup with the fried squid as appetizer. The soup was flavorful thou I added sriracha. We were given lots of side dishes with 2 free refills! We ate everything and were very full by the end. It was well worth the price even if it is a bit expensive.
I love this place. Portions are great and the service is excellent. My boyfriend came with me for his visit about a week ago and was happily surprised that the small restaurant put out such good food - he lived in Korea when he was in the military. I ordered seafood stew, which was served boiling hot with an egg cooked on top, and he had spicy pork, plus an appetizer between us, and a large number of banchan dishes. Needless to say we left stuffed, and the carry-out container I brought was full of rice and food as well. Service couldn't have been better either.
Food quality is excellent, and the portions are quite generous. Besides the main entree, you are provided with several side dishes that are well prepared. I could've had just the rice with those side dishes for a good meal even without the entree.
It was honestly the best Korean restaurant I’ve ever been to! So good!!! The food had such deep, rich flavors, and everything was very clean, which I really appreciated. I especially loved the bibimbap, soondubu, and galbi — they were absolutely delicious. If I ever get a chance to visit a Korean restaurant again, this is the only place I’ll come back to. The staff were super friendly, parking was easy, and it just feels different from other places :)
We ordered a variety of dishes, and every single one was excellent. The bibimbap and stew, in particular, were generously portioned with plenty of fresh ingredients and perfectly seasoned. Just like in a Korean restaurant, they served ten different side dishes, and you could even get one free refill. Highly recommended!
We came here for Mother's Day lunch. The food was really good. They serve 10 side dishes! This is the first time I see that many side dishes. The people who work there are very nice and accommodating. We really liked the place. Planning to come back.
I can't believe I haven't done a review for this spot. I have been coming here for ~20 years, through several ownership changes. The quality of the food is always excellent. The portion sizes have changed, some bigger, some smaller, but nothing that would make you upset. The banchan is always fresh and delicious with the staples and some changes here and there throughout the year. We use to come almost every week, until we moved, but we still come to get yummy Korean food. This spot is still my favorite! Get the mul nagmeon, it's the best in the Bay Area!
Being from Hawaii and having visited South Korea many times, I am very picky about my Korean BBQ. This place is by far, the best one in the SF Bay Area. Kalbi is charged perfectly and served on a sizzling cast iron platter. Veggie pancake is perfectly cooked. Beef tofu soup is flavorful and delicious. What no other restaurant can match is the free japchae and variety of banchan (side dishes). Kimchi cucumber, spicy tiny fish, spinach and traditional kimchi cabbage are all awesome.
This restaurant is absolutely fantastic! Even when compared to the food I’ve had in Korea, it’s outstanding. My friends, who aren’t Korean, also enjoyed the meal very much. If you’re looking to explore a variety of authentic Korean dishes, I highly recommend this place!
Great service and food! The portions are more than enough. The staff were kind and attentive. The food also came out fast. I had beef galbi, pork galbi and seafood tofu soup. It had the fire grilled flavour in the meat which is hard to come by these days. They also had good variety selection of side dishes (banchan). Plenty of seating for large groups as well. Would definitely come by again!
My Friend took me here and the food is FANTASTIC! The Ban Chan was plentiful!
We ordered here seafood fried rice and dduk bok gi. They were good. The banchan were superb. There were lot of side dishes. Among them I specially loved glass noodles which was good by itself and tasted even more better when I mixed it with the dduk bok gi's sauce. Their service was very good, it's not like other Korean restaurants. They were very friendly.
Great lunch spot with full house crowd all the time for their fully loaded lunch spl that will satisfy both your taste and stomach without bleeding cash. No wonder it's been around forever and still packed like the first day opener. Quick services too at a great location.
Loved the food and atmosphere. Good service too

After trying many different Korean restaurants in the area this is my favorite because the food quality is always consistent and homey, they have the best ban chan in my opinion, and the service is warm and welcoming!
I typically never leave ratings but… This place is the real deal - authentic Korean food. The service and ladies are so sweet and hospitable/welcoming. Their lunch special has plenty of variety and a great price for all that you get. I love that they don’t use a lot of sugar in all of their dishes like other Korean places. I’ll be returning to try other dishes.
I have been going to this restaurant for years and it has changed hands more than once since Mamasan, the owner, retired to Korea. We first stumbled onto it in the summer of 2007. The food is healthy and leaves you satisfied but not full in a heavy or guilty way. One of the things that often put me off at other restaurants over the years was the poor or unfriendly service I would receive -- BUT NEVER HERE! I believe this restaurant has the one of the best combinations of service, value and good food out of all in Contra Costa County! We go about twice a month - even though we travel 35 minutes to get there. OK, to the food. I love the side dishes -- undoubtedly the benchmark I use to judge any Korean restaurant. There are 4-5 less side dishes than there were when the original owner ran it, but more than previous owners who took over after her. I love the ones served. You get a huge serving of fresh high quality meat with the lunch Bento box and the price is a great deal. Dinner is quite a bit more costly so why not try lunch? I get the beef ribs but the spicy pork is also good. They have added a salad with a dynamite dressing and you still get a plate of simple but delicious yam noodles. You get lettuce to wrap the food in at dinner without even asking or paying extra. Year round i find my favorite dishes. Recently some new waitresses have come aboard and I hope they end up as nice as the ones I have had in the last few years. (boy did the original mamasan know how to work a crowd and please her guests). Please never skimp on stuff like rice, lettuce, meat portions, and refills of sidedishes and you will get the loyalty of repeat business and word of mouth from your customers. I have taken about 12 different people there who have never had Korean food and each one loved it and wanted to return. Go there soon and often! You will NOT regret it.

I need to start off by mentioning that I do not know a lot about Korean cuisine. We also ended up at this restaurant because the first 2 we tried had 45-90 minutes wait times, and were more of a destination for a Saturday night out. This place had plenty of seating available at 8pm in Park 'n Shop and was definitely casual, family dining. I ordered the Dolsot Bibm Bap, and my boyfriend ordered the Bul Gogi. The Dolsot was so f-ing hot for the first 20 minutes I could not eat it! Also, metal chop sticks are heat conductors with burning hot serve ware. Stupid and dangerous. I munched on all of the condiments that came with the Bul Gogi while I waited for mine to cool. The glass noodles were tasty, the red pasty stuff was really sweet and yummy. I tried the white, jello-cube looking things but not sure how that should be incorporated into a dish. Oh well. When I could finally eat my Dolsot Bibm Bap the rice was nice and crispy at the bottom, and the whole thing was delicious. I added the kimchi and red pasty stuff. I will definitely eat here again when I am hungry and impatient.
I give this place 4 stars because it is probably the only place give the most banchan for to-go order. I opened my bag and was surprised. There were 10 different kinds of sides dishes, especially the Kelp Noodle Salad (Cheonsachae Salad) which can't be found at many restaurants. Although the food was not that great, the seasoning was quite not there yet.
We ordered large size Galbi and extra rice to share. It came with 8 Banchan (side dishes). There were the usual suspects: two types of kimchi, spicy fish cakes, spicy small dried fish, spinach etc. But there was a mung bean jelly flavoured with light soy and scallion dressing that I really like. Galbi came on hot iron plate with cabbage. About four ribs cut into pieces. Taste is good but I think they used meat tenderizers. If you have been reading my reviews before I am against this practice which is common in Asian restaurants. It takes away the texture of the protein. Other than that, I will be happy to return to try other dishes.
They say this place is a humble restaurant and how right they are! I love the atmosphere and the dutiful workers who make this place what it is. I greatly enjoyed the food it was crisp & fresh! A fine culinary experience in an area with a great selection of delicious and fine competition. I’ve brought friends out here and we’ve not yet been disappointed. I love and highly recommend the Jjolmyeon: spicy, chewy, and oh so very satisfying!
We ordered the Kalbi and the chicken Bibimbap — both were excellent. The rice at the bottom of the Bibimbap was perfectly crispy, adding great texture. Banchan side dishes are the Best!!!! Flavors were well-balanced and not overly spicy, which we appreciated. The service was also fantastic — the staff checked on us regularly and made us feel really welcome. The only downside was the restroom; it could definitely use some attention in terms of cleanliness. Otherwise, a great dining experience overall!
Korea House serves a nice hearty Korean meal that’ll leave you full and content. They have an extensive menu but when I visited I was looking for some soups to warm me up. Both the tofu soup and the Gal Bi Tang were delicious and generous portions. In addition to the soups, each meal is served with japchae, countless side dishes, and rice so you get plenty of food to try. Each banchan was tasty and we fished every plate. The wait staff was nice here and for the price I thought it was a great meal!
Food was great. Atmosphere was bit lacking. Staff was cordial. Totally recommend the food.

Nice casual restaurant with good authentic Korean dishes

Super disappointed in my latest experience. I used to go here for years for their great lunch special. Come to find out, they changed up the format and the boxes come with less meat and no banchan! What? Lol. That's what I come for specifically. Basically paid $25 bucks for a small amount of meat and some rice, noodles, kimchi, and salad. On top of that, when I asked how much it would be to pay for more she said they couldn't offer that. She did, in her defense, ask me if there was something I wanted so she could bring it. Nice gesture, but banchan is always different. How am I supposed to know what they have? I also saw trays of it being brought around to other tables with no explanation on what I was supposed to order in order to receive it. While the quality of the food was fine, it just left a bad taste in my mouth and sadly I will not be back.
I decided to check this place out, and honestly, it was just average. I decided to order the tofu soup and galbi combo, which I normally enjoy ordering at other restaurants. Unfortunately, the tofu soup tasted like they added instant ramen seasoning and the medium heat level was a lot hotter than other restaurants. If BCD in LA is a 9/10, then the tofu soup here would be a 5/10. The galbi tasted decent, but there are definitely other restaurants that serve better galbi. They did have a good selection of side dishes, but it would have been better if the main dishes were as good.

Quality of the food was poor. Very overpriced also for the small portions. The fish in the picture was $17 and gross - no taste or flavor . The server asked why we didn’t like the fish and we told her. But she still didn’t take it off the bill. We ordered combination soup too and the taste was very bland- it was a bunch of scrapes thrown together.
Unsanitary, the waiter dropped our kids food on the floor. The waiter picked the food up off the floor and went behind the counter. He quickly put the food back together and he tried to serve it back to us. I told him that I saw him pick the food up off the floor. He said no he didn't but he will give us a new one. I watched the waiter go to the back where they were supposedly cooking my kids new food. But the photo shows that they gave us the same dirty food off the floor. It had hair in it. After telling them this they just left it on our table and didn't even remove it. This place is not clean.
False advertising . We went here for the lunch special because they advertised their food as way cheaper than what it actually was . And when I talked to someone on the phone , this person said "excuse me that price is 20 years ago " with a rude voice This is the menu that's posted on their website . How do costumers know if this is updated or not ? And you don't have to be rude to your costumers especially if they are just inquiring . - your reply here accurately reflects the service, tone and attitude that I recieved at your restaurant. That has nothing to do with any price or websites"
