The food was amazing, and the atmosphere was nice and relaxing with a great buzz. Service is great, everyone is lovely, and they always remember you (I've been many times). Every time, the food is fresh, and you can see the time and effort that is put into it. Highly recommend.

A 27 mile trip for a good curry... When Soami's moved to Consett from Peterlee a few years ago, I was disappointed as I could no longer order a takeaway. I kept Soami's in the back of my mind since they moved. Last night (1st August) me and my partner finally came to Soami's to dine and, as I knew, the food did not disappoint and it was as good as I remember. This is what we had... A couple of fizzy drinks then a cocktail each. I had an espresso martini (never had, it was lush but strong) & a strawberry daiquiri I had a Korma with Pilau rice and a keema naan, while my partner had a Murg Makhani Masala with a cheese naan & chapati Desserts were incredibly nice, we had a masala chai cheesecake and a Gajar Halwa. 100% will be coming back. P.s the female owner and the young waitress were incredibly professional, thank you 😊

First time here this evening and it certainly won’t be our last. From walking through the door we were looked after by Zoe who was friendly and extremely helpful. On way out we called our friends to arrange a night out. We had Mexican this evening and now looking forward to having Indian. If possible we’d like to score them 12/10!!!

I went with my sister, brother in law and their kids here for a meal last Friday and I must say it was amazing experience from start to finish. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was fantastic. Couldn’t recommend this place more highly. By far the best evening we have had for years.

One of the best curries I have had in my life. Extensive imaginative menu beautifully cooked and served by lovely people in a smart comfortable restaurant. I’m an onion bhaajis fanatic, these were the best I’ve ever had.

This resturant is outstanding. The food has always been delicious and is always beautifully presented and served by warm and friendly staff. Its our go to place if we are going out for food with friends.

We popped in for a quick bite before going to the cinema. The service was prompt and the staff very friendly, as for the food that was top quality. We will definitely be back.

We popped out for something to eat and always forget about this place. What a mistake. This place is a little gem. Restaurant is nicely decorated, nice feel, staff attentive and happy to discuss and recommend food. The food came out quickly and was beautifully presented. More importantly the food tasted fresh and full of flavour. Even a salad side on the starter was beautifully presented and tasty. I can't speak highly enough of the food and quality and will happily return in the near future and absolutely recommend 👌

Lovely atmosphere, clean area including toilets, freshly prepared delicious meals with 3 different cuisines. Definitely recommend this restaurant :)

Love the food here and the friendly atmosphere, I've never had better tasting Indian dishes in my life. There are usually about 5 of us that go a couple of times a year for a catch up and they always go out of their way to make us feel welcome.

A welcoming ambience, modern decor and a relaxed and chilled vibe that enhances the dining experience.The menu has a variety of 3 cuisines and the chef has generated authenticity. The staff are welcoming and attentive. Reasonable prices. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for authentic food and a pleasant time dining.

Visiting the area and saw this place, staff was so welcoming and friendly and even more so efficient and gave excellent recommendations, it was a Thursday evening and very quiet but that didn’t dampen the atmosphere, the food was beautiful and very delicious, didn’t have dessert but the menu looked fresh and original, can not recommend this place enough.

Outstanding food and service all round. I had a surf and turf starter, very tasty, very well presented. I had a jalfezi with garlic rice and garlic and chilli naan, again very tasty and very well presented. The staff are great. I had a very enjoyable experience. Looking forward to going again.

I come here every week great food and lovely family. Always cooked in propper dishes great portions and flavours are unique. The family are always lovley to my children and my wife make us feel at home everytime.

We were looking for an Indian restaurant in Consett rather than a takeaway and we could not of chosen better. The atmosphere, staff and owner of the restaurant were very welcoming. The food was 5 star and the attention to detail was faultless. We will definitely be back with friends and family and will be exploring the Mexican and Thai they also offer.

Fantastic private catering for an event, delivered to our home! The food was delicious and fresh, and the portion sizes were incredibly generous! Would definitely recommend for any gathering!

Absolutely amazing food, atmosphere and workers. We come here all the time and it has never disappointed. Everyone is so lovely and has amazing knowledge of whole menus as well as recommendations. I 100% definitely recommend both meat dishes, vegetarian, Indian, Mexican and Thai!!!

This is our third visit. The food is excellent. The staff are very welcoming. They all go out of there way to make you feel relaxed and comfortable. I’m just sad that I can’t always finish the food as I’m so full. Hoping to bring my family when they visit. There is definitely something for every taste.

Had a fantastic meal and drinks, extremely good value for money, the service was fantastic and I’d highly recommend paying a visit. It was our first meal here but certainly won’t be our last. The choice of 3 cuisines under the one roof makes the choice the hardest part of the night , we opted for Indian and it was beautiful! How has it taken us this long to try it !! 👏🏻👏🏻

First visit and had pressure of two friends from the smoke ( Newcatle 🤣) food and servicw was brilliant . Two of us had Indian food and one had Mexican which sounds strange but was absolutly fab . Will definately be returning soon. Thoroughly recommend .

Just amazing. The food here is truly unique. Incredible flavours, very original ideas, exciting combinations of tastes. If you want a change from stereotypical Indian restaurants, you need to book a table here immediately.

A really excellent Indian meal in Consett. Super-friendly staff, efficient service and delicious food. The “Indian Railways lamb curry” was exceptional, as was the palak paneer. Highly recommended if you want a great meal while on the C2C.

Had an excellent meal at Soamis with a large group of friends. Restaurant was full and atmosphere was great. Railway lamb was top notch. Even with a large party and full restaurant, service was spot on and very friendly. Definitely recommended.

Been to Thailand food was amazing but no better than here absolutely beautiful and service second to none will definitely be back

First time I've been here . Great menu, there was 4 in our party and we had food from all areas. Everyone enjoyed everything we had. I personally had the Thai green curry, only place better to have it is in Thailand...Staff were great apart from we ordered a drink and it took 4 requests about the drink and over 20mins to receive it. That was the only thing that spoiled the evening

Went for my second visit to soamis trio. The second visit did not disappoint. The food was perfect, full of fresh flavours and cooked to perfection. The service is superb. The manager is very attentive to your palate and offers good recommendations. This is now my favourite Indian restaurant. Only downside is no takeaway option but it means you make the effort to sit in and enjoy the surroundings and service.

Had the most beautiful Indian meal. The lamb was tender, melt in your mouth, flavours were delicious and the quality amd quantity superb. Will be back again for sure.

Me and my partner went in early at 12.30 for lunch. The receiving was good. It smelt a bit mossy probably coz it was closed all night. Anyways the atmosphere was good but there were some house flies. The food was really good. I ordered Paneer starter it was okayish a bit sour but well cooked. Then ordered chicken curries(cant remember the name) the gravy if the curry was perfect. The chicken was a bit chewy but doable. Overall i would give 4.3/5. Mainly i got a but frustarted regarding the big flies while eating food hovering on food. I would recommend to go when its winter time as there will be no flies at all
