O que dizem os clientes de Scuttlebutt's Seafood Bar & Grill
Scuttlebutt's offers a cool waterfront dining experience with great views, especially at sunset. The fried seafood is a mixed bag; some find it mediocre and overpriced, while others enjoy the fish and shrimp. Service is casual, with counter ordering.

Tip: Go for the sunset views and the atmosphere. If ordering seafood, shrimp seems to be a safer bet than the fish. Be aware of the seagulls if sitting outside.

We had a blast there. We found it on a search for a good place to watch the sunset over the water. They have a counter service and lots of seating out on the pier. The food is good - I mean, it’s not a big restaurant but it was hot, well cooked and the fries were delicious. There’s an ice cream shop (also Snoopy’s) next door so we were able to keep our seats on the pier so as not to miss the sunset. They didn’t mind that we stayed an hour and a half one bit. So if you are near Padre Island and looking for a great sunset- watching spot, Snoopy’s is a great stop.
Usually don't go for straight up fried food, but this was very good! I especially loved the stuffed crab balls with the spicy roumalade. The onion rings were very good. The breading for the shrimp was flavorful. The oyster sandwich was a little underwhelming, but overall, it was good.
The food was great. Staff is very nice. Atmosphere is relaxing. Definitely looking forward to coming again.❤️🤍💙
Cannot imagine a better way to spend a lovely afternoon by the water than enjoying great food at Snoopy’s Pier — all under the watchful eyes of the seagulls. We ordered the fried shrimp platter and the full combo platter with fried fish, shrimp, and oysters, and loved every bite. The seafood was fresh, perfectly cooked, and incredibly satisfying. And don’t forget to end your meal with ice cream from nearby Scoopy’s Ice Cream — the perfect sweet finish to a wonderful waterfront afternoon.
Snoopy's is a cool spot! This is a late lunch review...I think this place has a completely different vibe in the evenings. Anyway, there are plenty of outside seats by the water and plenty of seating inside as well. However, there really isn't a good view inside. The food was absolutely great! Fish and chips and the butterfly shrimp are highly recommended. This place might get crowded in the evenings, so if you eat early it might benefit you. This is not a table service restaurant. You'll order at the counter pick a seat then wait for you name to be called. You can also pick a seat first to look at the menu then go order if you want. If you're a Coca-Cola products person you wont like the drink selection...it's Pepsi products (insert sad face for me). I gave a 3 on service, because there really isn't any. You order, get your food, eat and then leave, so there isn't much to rate. Another note...on outside seating There will be birds very close to you...bird phobia people beware. It's definitely worth checking out!
Lower your expectations of the look of your food and you'll be happier ☺️ Overall the crabcake salad was good but there was many 2 tiny artichoke pieces hidden amongst very boring ice burg lettuce. Hubby had Redfish that was tasty. The view was cool. There was no shade outside or fans. If they added that with misters, it would really be great. Next time Id try the fries or onion rings. Service was basically self serve with random 15 yr old busboys running around.
We enjoyed the food. My husband and uncle were very happy with their shrimp
We had a very fun visit at this location! The food was good, but the breaded chicken tenders my kids got were undercooked and overly breaded. Everything else was amazing, though. You order your food prior to finding a seat. We enjoyed the outside seating. The bar area had some live karaoke going on, and an ice cream shop right next door. It's such a fun atmosphere.
We showed up at Pearl Oyster and immediately we were blown away, Happy Hour all day $2 drafts $1,50 oysters. jalpenos were on point actually the best we ever has. Eric our bartender was awesome. If we ever return this will be our To Go spot
Kinda fun spot with food, activities, drinks and more food. Popular with the families and the drinkers. The drinkers seeem to be more fun as the kids seem to just make noise and complain about everything. “Mom, more ranch dressing”. “Dad, I wanna chase the birds”. Take em all next door to get an ice cream. It’s all here on the pier. CritDicks
I'll get to the positive before the negatives. It's a cool place on the water near the JFK Causeway with a nice view of the bay. The seafood selections are mostly fried with a couple of other options. You have to walk up and place your order which is not a not an issue but set the tone of the experience and not the same as having full service. Pictured in this review is what is called "Drumsticks" on the menu which is fried Black Drum with fries. The upside is it was a large portion and the fries were good. However, the fried fish was just okay and I didn't particularly care for the batter. Before deciding on it, I asked what fish was on the Fish/Shrimp Combo and it was not a locally sourced fish so obviously frozen that came in on truck. I didn't ask if the shrimp was fresh or frozen after I decided to not order the combo. I'm sorry but I have an issue with so-called seafood restaurants located on the coast especially right on the water that do not serve fresh, local seafood and the prices are what you would expect to pay for fresh. That has become more common at a lot of local restaurants than a lot of people realize. I wouldn't talk someone out of going there if they just wanted a place to have a beer and grab a bite to eat but would suggest that you ask questions about what is being served and if it is fresh or frozen. If asked for a seafood restaurant recommendation I wouldn't recommend Snoopy's. There are other options, one very nearby that has better seafood.
Our favorite part was being directly on the water and having a front row seat to the dolphins. The sunset was beautiful. The food was pretty good, but I think I ordered too much fried food. So that was more my fault than the restaurants fault. My daughter did swipe one of the turtle soaps and started to eat it. So I did pay for that. Overall; I think we would definitely come back, I would just order a salad next time with seafood on it.
We wanted good fried seafood, ended up with mediocre over priced fried seafood. We both had the Fried combo which comes with fish, shrimp and oysters. Fish and shrimp were average and the oysters were a bit too undercooked for us. The hush puppies and fried okra were the best part of the meal. You order at the counter, your name is called when your order is ready and you eat on Styrofoam plates. We both walked away a bit let down by the experience.
Felt this was overrated. Wanted to come and support local business, but it is a bit run down. Staff are friendly, the crowd was a mix of in state vacationers. They give you tons of fries. Every table seemed to have left their fries haha. The cod, butterfly shrimp, and kids meals were all good. Large portions. They were out of some sodas, lemonade, sauce cups… just a local hangout, really… we will try Doc’s next door for our next visit. My kids enjoyed the small pier, but it’s not really an inviting space. We were fairly underwhelmed by the outdoor space and forgot to take pics of the food. There were lots of families with kids running around and it was all just okay. They sell Blue Bell at snoopy’s ice cream shop next door. It was super hot, sticky tables, close to closing time, not the best service-just kids working their summer jobs. Our experience could have been so much better… I’d much rather purchase a pint of ice cream at a gas Station and sit on the beach….
Can’t beat the sunset views yeah and good times with family on the water! However, I would not recommend the burger…$14 for a below average burger. I had previously always ordered the shrimp sandwich. If I go back, I’ll go back to the shrimp sandwich. In my opinion after the sale out quality has suffered tremendously and prices have tripled it’s just not worth it for locals.
Passing through, my husband and I wanted some good sea food. Unfortunately, that is not what we got. I had the fish and chips plate. The only good thing on the plate were the fries. The cod was very oily, and the cole slaw was meh. My hubby ate the shrimp sandwich, which he did like and ate. We spent I was told the place started out as a bait shop, which explains a lot. I hope there is better sea food in Corpus because this was super disappointing! We did enjoy the view.
My wife and I both had the fish and chips combo. The fish (cod) was not fishy tasting at all. It was, however, a bit greasy. The French fries were very good. My wife also ordered a 10 dollar bowl of seafood gumbo, which was definitely not seafood gumbo. We actually don't know what it was, but we do know it was terrible. We certainly don't recommend it,especially at that price. So anyway, you line up outside and eventually get inside (half hour wait in line) and move up to a counter and order what you want. After you pay for your order, it's up to you to find a place to sit. You give them a name to be called out when your order is ready and go to another counter to pick up your dinner. Here's the best part, after waiting to order and finding a place to sit, it was about one and a half hours before we were actually able to eat😳 So be sure and ask how long the wait is before you order. The atmosphere is great, tho. Maybe an off night? I don't know, but I asked about the wait and was told the kitchen is behind. My fault? No. So best wishes if you go to Snoopy's
Beautiful scenery, mediocre food, horrible bartender. You order your own food at the register & pick it up yourself when they call your name. We ordered 2 Monday specials of fish and chips that come w/a “free” margarita, and a side of shrimp. Fresh fish, good fries and good fried shrimp, awful margarita in a small plastic cup. We asked the bartender to remake my margarita bc it tasted like 100% sweet & sour, so she added OJ. It still was awful. Ordered 2 beers to dilute the sweet & sour. $100. (Not including any tips). Go to Doc’s next door. Way better service & drinks, great food, and same beautiful scenery.
I took some friends here for lunch and it was definitely over priced. The young lady, Maria, I think, was not very friendly and she couldn't decide if our sea food baskets were $24 or $31.00. In the end, it was $98.00 for 3 - shrimp and fish baskets with a few fries (see the photos). Plus, there was a recommendation for an 18.00 tip, which I rescinded when I found out we have to pick up our food and condiments and serve our own drinks? I understand the scenery is very nice but the building and outside furniture was a bit runned down. Next time, it's Boat N Net and fighting the seagulls on a towel at the beach 😉
Incredibly disappointed in our take out order today. We ordered over the phone and they forgot to add our fried catfish meal. The kids grilled cheese sandwiches were $10 - and didn’t look correctly cooked. We tried to call back to correct our order and the phone just rings. Our shrimp platters and hush puppies were good - consistent with a food shack menu, so the price just didn’t match the quality unfortunately. We spent over $100 on very cheaply made food. Customer service could be better and more professional. Will not order from here again.
I visited Snoopy's Restaurant with my friend a couple months ago and we were disappointed in the food. The fish tasted like it was frozen fish cooked and breaded in bland fish fry. 🐟 The fries tasted liked bagged fries and were tasteless. 🍟 If you want to get condiments and the drinks it is self-served. The food did not taste real or authentic, everything tasted like frozen, bagged food that they fried. I could have made the food at home for how it tasted! I will say the scenary was beautiful and there was good, karaoke live music. 🎤 🎶 🎵 If you want good, flavorful seafood please skip this restaurant.
Well came here because wanted to see they hype.. the hype should have been on them horrible prices for the terrible serving. Nothing is fresh and tasted hard and stale. Was definitely not worth abt $50.00 seriously people when you order jumbo shrimp you expect a decent size what the heck is this? More like a medium size hard and stale. I was so pist off. Then the other dish was 2 fish, 2 oyster, 2 shrimp, fries the price was over priced ridiculous I wouldn't recomend this place at all. Wanna throw money away then by all means go for it. As for me NOPE ain't coming back tell you that much.

Scuttlebutt's: Pier Views, Casual Bites, and Coastal Charm
Alright, folks, let's talk about Scuttlebutt's Seafood Bar & Grill. Now, you might know it better as part of the whole Snoopy's Pier setup out by the JFK Causeway, right on the water with those fantastic views of the bay. It’s definitely a spot with a vibe – popular with families trying to wrangle the little ones and a good crowd enjoying a cold one while watching the channel boat traffic drift by. Just a heads up, the seagulls are part of the scenery, sometimes a bit too much a part of it, t
