Better Buzz never misses with their baked goods, everything is always fresh and perfectly baked. Heather was working the counter and was incredibly kind and patient, which made the stop even better. Love how consistent the quality and service are here.

There was nothing I didn’t like about this place! From service to food, drinks and desserts EVERYTHING was amazing! I wish we had done closer to home.. I’d literally drive 45m again just to eat here.

The quality of the coffee is amazing, especially if you love a strong shot of espresso ☕️ Their drinks can be sweet but you can adjust it! I recommend my personal favorite of an iced caramel vanilla latte with an extra shot and 1/3 sweetness :)))

My favorite place for coffee & the best breakfast sandwich in Costa Mesa :) Bella keeps the line moving & is an all star at her job. It’s always nice seeing the whole team working together every morning !

It was my first time at a Better Buzz and I was lucky enough to have Celina at the counter. They have the warmest smile and the most inviting energy that immediately put the socially anxious me at ease. I’m not the biggest coffee person, but they put on me onto a horchata iced latte and a pistachio croissant which were both just delightful. Since it was slower, I was able to be impressed by their extensive knowledge of coffee as they talked me through the menu. I find the interior and overall branding very vitalizing and appealing! Definitely will come back to try more menu items.

Fast, friendly, clean, and easy online and in person. Nobody follows the signage, and customers generally do what they want per the course for O.C., but the store itself, the food, the coffee, has been exceptional everytime. So glad it replaced sbux! My coworkers and I love hitting this before getting to school and it really uplifts our day to get a really good latte.

The coffee was a 10/10, the pistachio croissant was amazing and the vibe is absolutely my favorite. I have told everyone i know about this place. I love it!

I love this place, I have no problem ordering on the app everyday before work. I’ve been coming in so often I already have a reward for a free drink on the app. My go to is the “Best Drink Ever”, and it always hits the same each time. It’s so good. My stomach used to hurt while drinking coffee at other places, but not here! I love the staff, each time I come in I see a few familiar faces (from going in so often) and some new but everyone has been equally as friendly. It does get quite busy, but they’re quick to get you your order. I’m so happy Better Buzz replaced the Starbucks lol. 🫶🏼

I mean WOW! My first time here and I’m blown away! Sal and Alexa were soo welcoming I was so tired and needed a pick-me-up before working on my client. And wanted to treat my client to a coffee. She said she wanted something like a caramel macchiato and they made something much more better. I also was recommended their Best Drink Ever and it taste amazing!! Since the service was so good I went ahead and tried their yummy Acai Bowl which is just what I needed. Saving the rest for later. Thank you guys so much! Highly recommend and will definitely be back!

My first time here; ordered the lavender matcha latte, lavender latte with coconut milk and the Better Breakfast sandwich on brioche bun, cage free egg, bacon, arugula, cheese, aioli and I added avocado for $2. All the drinks were worth the price. The sandwich was amazing, however my preference would be whole Avocado vs mashed.

Tried the coconut matcha for the first time and I’m obsessed. It’s smooth, not bitter, and the coconut flavor is perfectly balanced. Ferny recommended it and absolutely nailed it, you can tell he knows the menu well. Great vibes and even better drinks.

I wanted to give a quick SHOUT OUT to CELINA for being so AWESOME. She was super friendly and took the time to help me with all my coffee questions. Plus, all her co-workers are amazing too! The Costa Mesa location has the best baristas! The drinks are always delicious! My personal favorite is the Iced Pumpkin latte with vanilla cold foam. I get it 3/4 sweet because their drinks come on the sweeter side. Def. a must try!

Alexa and Grace are hands-down the best baristas at Better Buzz. Every time I stop by, they make the experience better — not just because the drinks are always on point, but because of their energy and attitude. They’re friendly, welcoming, and genuinely care about making your day better. They remember orders, work fast without ever feeling rushed, and always greet customers with a smile. You can tell they take pride in what they do, and it shows in both the quality of the drinks and the atmosphere they create. Better Buzz is lucky to have them — they’re a big reason I keep coming back.

Better Buzz Coffee is legit spots to get a great experience. Alexa and Kaylee were working that day and their energy was so good—super friendly, easy to converse with, and just made the whole vibe feel chill and welcoming. It’s honestly great for laptop work. WiFi is fast and doesn’t drop, seats are comfy (not those hard wooden torture chairs some places have), and there’s enough space so you don’t feel like you’re on top of someone else. I’ve easily knocked out a few hours here without any stress. Also huge plus that they’ve got solid low-caffeine stuff. Decaf Americano actually tastes like coffee (not hot bean water), and their teas are really nice when I’m trying to wind down. Not every place bothers with good decaf options. 10/10 would recommend. If you’re in the area, swing by and say hi to Alexa and Kaylee—they’re awesome.

I came in at a later time and was served by Destiny and Moises. My chai tea was delish!! Annalie made my food, a chili crunch breakfast wrap, and it was wonderful, highly recommend! All around great service, and shout out to the amazing staff!

It was our first time coming here to Better Buzz and our barista JJ was so nice, knowledgeable and made us feel very welcome. We got a caramel macchiato and an orange matcha latte, which we both highly enjoyed. Definitely better than Starbucks!

Came here and let me tell you It was amazing, will definitely come back. The barista in the front alexa was so nice and recommended me to try a chai tea latte make it dirty and add cinnamon cold foam on top. It was amazing, loved the place, nice place to study or hang out with friends.

The turkey pesto sandwich at Better Buzz Coffee is unreal. Perfectly toasted bread, fresh turkey, and the pesto brings everything together without being overpowering. Ferny was working when I ordered and was super helpful and friendly, which made the whole experience even better. Definitely coming back for this sandwich again.

Ordered an Açaí bowl and enjoyed it, the service is good but if you’re not paying attention you won’t know or be informed when your item is ready.

This feels like a coffee shop competing with Dutch bros. not really focusing on quality espresso. Just under $9 for an iced drink that was too sweet and that I can blow away making myself at home lol, if I come back it will be just an Americano to test the espresso quality better. Final push out the door- It’s early in the morning and the music is WAY too loud. Absolutely ridiculous 🤯

Trash coffee made with powder. There are 16 people "working", no wonder they charge so much. My latte is too hot, so it tastes burnt. The vanilla flavor tastes like one of those latte machines at a car dealership. Very little flavor. Cookie was good. I hate to say it, but I've had better coffee at Dunkin.

This is a coffee shop that I would probably visit only once. Overall, I think that the location was fairly nice as there was plenty of parking. I did appreciate how cute the actual shop was. There overall vibe was there, the feng shui could’ve been a little better as there are continuity errors when entering and leaving. I think the space could’ve been utilized better to accommodate more dine in options, it felt like a McDonald’s lobby. The staff were friendly but not at the same time. I could imagine that during the holiday time it’s a little bit more busy than normal so I recognize that. They missed part of my order, but it was corrected pretty quickly. I think the shop itself is extremely loud more so than other places I’ve been, but this could be due to the busyness of the shop itself. The food was OK, I think most of it is microwaved, but the cost of the food was fairly cheap relative to other coffee shops where they have made to order meals. The chili crisp wrap was literally lacking chili crisp, but it was good nonetheless. The espresso was slightly over extracted, so it had a burnt taste. Overall, it reminds me of chic Starbucks with Gimmicky names for drinks.

The ambience is also just ok largely bc they have the music blastocyst through crappy speakers. The pastries are pretty good, I think they’re from Nonna Mercado so would come back for those.

When our name was called, only 1 of the 2 drinks were made and when mentioned to staff, he said it’s still being prepared. There lies their mistake. They should have instead actually checked the order. After waiting another 5 min. And many other orders being fulfilled, I asked again. Only then, did they make a substitute drink. And no apology for the error.

I don’t know if it was their grand opening or just a regular Saturday, but this place was “buzzin” and, unfortunately, a hot mess. First, we walked in and tried to get in what appeared to be the ordering line but were stopped by staff who asked “did you order online or are you placing an order?” No “hi,” no “welcome,” just an abrupt redirection. We were told to stand in front of the registers and wait to order (as if that’s not where we were already headed and how every cafe has worked since ever). We placed our order with a friendly staff member who took my name for the order and checked us out on a handheld POS. It seemed like a good system to keep the ordering line down, but it was confusing upon entering to know where to go, especially since the giant clump of people in the store were actually waiting for their drinks and had already ordered. So we waited in the clump for our drinks. And then we kept waiting. And waiting some more. After 20 minutes of not hearing my name, I went to the staff member calling names. She didn’t ask if I was waiting for a drink or food item but ignored those around her to keep calling names. Eventually I just asked if she had a drink for my name. She looked at the drinks on the counter and said “no, if you haven’t heard your name we’re still making it.” I didn’t have the heart to tell her we’d been waiting for over 20 minutes because they were slammed and working hard, but still, 20 minutes for a macchiato and spiced iced latte is excessive. We waited another 10 minutes, totaling 30 minutes of waiting for two simple drinks, and I was ready to leave without them. Everyone receiving drinks at this point had come in well after us. Eventually, I went up again and asked for my name. The same staff member said “if you haven’t heard your name it’s not ready yet.” But I happened to see a macchiato and spiced iced latte next to each other on the counter. I asked “is this for __?” And the staff member behind the counter confirmed that it was in fact mine. Finally. We took our drinks and left and I realized no one wrote my name down on the cups. They had been sitting there for at least 20 minutes. The macchiato was cold and the iced latte was watery. Additionally, I ordered a spiced latte and there’s about 1/4 inch of spice sitting on the bottom of the cup. When I try to mix it in, I get choked by the excessive spice flakes. The flavor is extremely simple, and for a place with such inventive drinks I expected more. I will not return, at least not to this location. I think it was a special occasion that made them so busy, but that’s not an excuse for not writing someone’s name so they’re ignored for a half hour, and for subpar beverages.

Will not return. I don't appreciate the awkward shuffle of being herded along towards the counter by a roped-off line just to reach the counter. The clientele was rude! This place seems to cater to the legging wearing, camel toe showing, Karen's of Orange county. I walked in with basketball shoes on a weekday recently and the entire line, and a server, snapped around in unison, shooting me a collection of downright hostile, you-have-got-to-be-kidding-me stares the moment my shoes let out a squeak against the floor. Overall; The Mexican Mocha was just right, although too pricey. I doubt I will be back as there are better options.

Insanely bad and inconsistent quality. nothing like the Better Buzz in Encinitas. They constantly get your order wrong, prepare the food and drink items wrong to the point of them virtually not being edible. Workers have no idea what they’re doing.
