The Habit is a popular hang out for the OCC and HS crowds. The burger is ok, there are fries, and standard drinks. I am just not overly impressed. Pretty basic, and for me I prefer a different place. You may like it but for me it is just a visit for a school fundraiser. Could be noisy if crowded, all hard surfaces.

Great burger. No drama. No regrets. Tucked into a retail plaza where you'd expect a dentist or dry cleaner, The Habit in Costa Mesa is quietly slinging one of the best no-nonsense burgers in town. It’s clean, quick, and the staff move like they’ve got burgers to build (because they do). The Double Char Burger? Not bad at all . Two flame-grilled patties, melty cheese, fresh veggies, and caramelized onions that low-key taste like they were slow-danced over a campfire. It’s all stacked in a sesame seed bun that doesn’t fall apart like your weekend plans. And at around $8–9, it’s a steal in a world where mediocre burgers are charging Tesla prices. Final thoughts: No frills. Big flavor. Solid vibe. Add fries and cold soda, you've peaked.

Very good burger and the Seasonal garlic fries were amazing. I've tried four different Habit locations and they have all been clean and served freshly made delicious food.

The fact your combo meals went from like 12.50 to 17 is silly. Call me petty, but yes I am cuz then I found out later you now charge .65 measily cents for ranch and made me wait in a 7 person line after getting my food. Makes the new business model look Lame.

Well, it's been a couple of months since I've been to The Habit. This was probably my last time. Two disappointing trips . The last time I discovered no more steak sandwich which I can live with as it probably wasn't too popular so it had to go. This time, I discovered they now have started charging for ranch dipping sauce. See picture I decided against another expenditure for my meal. Thank you, California, for the $20 an hour worker cost, which is probably part of this decision to charge for ranch. The food was still OK, but I'm pretty sure the burger has shrunk, too (could be my imagination but probably not).

Very sad to come into this Habit Store this evening to have dinner with my wife and found the place dirty like no one cared about what was on the floor, the tables, and soda fountain area. Our food was just thrown on a tray whit our burgers touching the not so clean tray and barely on the paper that was put on the tray, what happened to the holders the burgers used to be in. I used to come to this place all the time and to see what it's like now is just bad. No pride or care by the employee's behind the counter. Really sad to see what has happened.

This was such a sad experience. We used to love The Habit. Not sure if it's a problem with how they train their employees, but the gal taking our order seemed new or just not sure of herself and we worried she didn't have our order quite right. When we received our food the fries were cold and one burger was missing cheese. They corrected one burger and one fry in our order, because I didn't want to feel we were wasting food. Taking our family of 5 out to eat is going to be pricey, but to pay $75 for a cold meal is ridiculous. My parents had a seperate order and she had to have them correct her peppermint shake, because they didn't include any peppermint flavor. I understand that all restaurants have to pay more for rent and overhead, but you can still find places that take time to train their people well to ensure hot food and orders taken correctly. Everyone needs to take responsibility for this. Customer service has always been the most important for good reason. If it's good, people will come back. Sad to say I wont go back to The Habit.

We visit this location . At 9:56 pm . Hours and operations was at 10:30 the cashier saids only to go orders . I ask to speak with the manager . And the manager saids we close in 30 min . For the reason is only to go orders I can not believed what kind of manager is . I don’t take her name but she was very rude .

This habit is not very good took forever for my mobile order to be ready then they came out brought my food to the wrong car even though you literally have to leave a description of what car you’re in. They then went back inside and just sat my food on the counter, I kid you not I was parked right in front of this habit and that was the service they provide, for proximity purposes I’ve been here but this is probably the least enjoyable habit I’ve been to.

Why have gift cards if you can’t use them online! Then walk into to place the order with the self serve and you won’t accept the gift cards! The only way is to stand and wait. So no curbside with a gift card? You need to update your software.

This location should not have curbside pickup available as an option. I received notification that my order was ready and that “someone would be right out”. But after waiting another 20 minutes for them to bring out my order, I finally went inside. And my food was sitting on the counter the entire time. So all of the food was cold and soggy and my drink watered down. Also every single time I come here there’s never any parking. Habit only has 2 reserved spots for curbside pickup only. The rest of the lot is largely taken up by the other stores/restaurants.

This location perpetually messes up our orders. Either not following modifications or outright giving us the wrong food. When confronted, I get no resolution. Can't call the store directly to complain and once I get online I get offered coupons for another SUBPAR experience. The high turnover rate of employees there tells my your management team is also severely lacking. I want my $30 back. Do better all around.

Thought I’d try a sundae here and would say it was probably one of the worst ice cream sundaes I’ve ever had. The soft serve was slightly watery and runny. The girl (pierced nose ring), who took my order, asked me three times if I wanted whipped cream and peanuts, even though I told her twice before I want whipped cream and peanuts. She stacked all the whip cream and peanuts over the plastic lid, which means I had to eat all the peanuts and whip cream before I can even get the lid off, which basically defeated the purpose of mixing the ice cream with the peanuts and whip cream. Poor product, poor service.
