Coffee and Pastries were a bit on the pricier end but they are totally worth it. Creme Brulee Coffee was amazing, and the service was very good. Staff were polite and friendly, and the ambience was cozy. They also have a separate section with plenty of work stations and charging ports, with free Wi-Fi. Overall, a pretty good experience, and they totally deserve the 5 Star Reviews.

Would highly recommend the banana muffin it is so good, ask for it warmed up. I also got the frozen matcha very delicious. Wish they still had the Lavander chai, was on of my favorites.

My wife and I's go-to for local coffee! We are, admittedly, latte snobs, and so far, Matters is the one to beat! The shop is cozy and atmospheric, particularly on a rainy afternoon like today. All the staff are wonderful people, including the baseball-capped owner, who always has a quick joke up his sleeves. They have plenty of seating both in the front and rear of the building, and there is always parking of some fashion either at the front of the building, or a short walk from the CVS parking lot. They carry an assortment of baked goods, in-house coffee beans, and a small clothing line. Best of all, they support other local businesses, such as Baked by Susan, and have given days of the week where they allow vendors to set up shop on site. Yuli is one of the sweetest people we've ever met. She is always kind, smiling, and upbeat, regardless of the day. Just seeing her smile makes our day! Whenever it is that we are to leave the Croton area, saying goodbye to Matters and their amazing staff will be a very hard thing to do, indeed.

The staff is so friendly and all the drinks I’ve tried here are really good! My favorite so far is the raspberry cold foam berry tea. I’m looking forward to trying even more! :) Also, they have a really nice lounge area and the aesthetic is just… wow. 100/10 😍

As someone who remembers the Inkwell in Long Branch and was there for the opening of Small World Coffee in Princeton, I am so happy I found this shop. I stopped in while waiting for my mom to get off the train, just looking for some wi-fi and place out of the over 100 degree heat and was incredibly happy to find this spot. The staff was very pleasant, patient and enthusiastic. I ended up ordered a cortado with real (yes real) maple syrup. Hallelujah - proportions were perfect! Coffee was delicious and full-bodied without bitterness- worthy of pretentious coffee snobs! The place itself is warm with places to work and places to relax. I wish it were closer to home but I will be back! I might drive up here for the cortado alone. Please support this local spot not just because its local - but because it is excellent! And I want it here when I return. **Worth every. single. dollar. Life is short. Buy excellent coffee!**

As far as I can tell, Matters has the best espresso in the world. We had coffee catering at our wedding, I've been many times to top tier coffee roasters and shops in NY, SF, DC and Seattle (Olympia Coffee, Blue Bottle, Sightglass, Ritual, Ceremony, Vigilante, and many smaller shops), and I have an espresso machine at home. A few years ago I decided I just like drip coffee better, and its what I make at home and order when out. Matters is the one place that has me re-thinking that -- their espresso is just consistently delicious and non-bitter in a way that stands above everywhere else. Can't recommend strongly enough.

Whether you're meeting a friend or looking for a productive spot to focus, this café hits the mark. Highly recommend for coffee lovers and remote workers alike!

Love this place! I've been here a few times, and it's been a great experience each time. I love their lattes and hot chocolate here. They also have a variety of pastries available, as well as coffee merch and other items. The inside is very spacious with comfortable seating, and they have a larger space if you wanted to hold a gathering or event here. On the weekends, they also frequently have pop ups and other events. I can't wait to stop back here again soon!

Stopped by Matter Coffee this morning and it truly mattered. I had the pear sage iced coffee, which was delicious and totally unique. Matters Coffee is truly my favorite coffee shop! The quality of their coffee is unmatched. I always find myself comparing others coffee to theirs and have yet to find anything comparable. The staff is absolutely amazing, incredibly helpful and since I first walked in, I felt as if I was visiting friends. Over time, they've gotten to know my preferences and are always more than happy to craft something up especially for me, which I genuinely appreciate. I always bring my friends when they visit for the weekend and I've even bought boxes of their coffee for my relatives and they all love it. Honestly, this place is more than just a coffee shop to me, it's a little home away from home. I can't recommend Matter Coffee enough!

My colleagues said their coffee and latte were very good. They also have a restroom and a 15 - minutes parking lot (I think it's a shared parking lot among the business stores). If you're looking for morning coffee/tea - this is the place!

After my wife had paid with her credit card, we decided to not leave tip on the card and tip in cash but as I was reaching for the cash in my wallet the barista whispered "thanks for the tip" under her breath 😑. I hope this was an isolated incident and maybe they were just having a rough morning but that left a really bad taste in our mouths. Tipping culture has gotten so bad that it has become a need for instant gratification and a sense of entitlement. I mean you could have given me 5 seconds to leave a cash tip in your jar.

I went in here for the first time. The service was good but 11 dollars and change for a 20 oz for an iced latte is absolutely absurd and unnecessary!
