My FAVORITE lunch spot in the neighborhood!!!!! If I had it my way I would eat here every day. I do not eat meat so it is always very challenging finding a hearty, healthy, and delicious sandwich on the menu but Monroe has perfected veggie sandwiches! My favorites are the Insanity Later and the Just Peachy. The ingredients are so fresh and the Grandmas focaccia bread is made soft and not too chewy or toasted. The staff is always super friendly and you can tell that they enjoy working there!

This place is fantastic! Really interesting flavor combinations and a sweet vibe. The “serenity now” will indeed make you more serene than George Costanza on Festivus and the Lil’ Bambino is a delightful sweet and spicy Lil guy. I no longer live in LA but I would consider moving back just to eat everything on the menu. Yum.

I was about to leave an average rating based on location, pickup experience and the focaccia appearance (semi burnt) and then I took a bite... I don't know how they've mixed up the right amount of spread and ingredients that the taste is this good, I dare say the brown focaccia completed the experience, although I don't think that's their usual focaccia :)) we tried the serenity and one sandwich was enough for a light lunch for 2. I will be back many more times this week to try the rest of the menu before I leave LA!

Quick and friendly service even when they were busy. Clean and delicious sandwiches. Some seating inside and out.we will be back and definitely recommend.

🚨 Amazing Veggie Sandwich Alert! 🚨 The Avo-I-Am was excellent; the perfect amount of Asian umami mixed with fresh crunchy cabbage and a generous amount of Avo. Try something with their rice wine pickled veg and house made Spicy Sesame Spread (its not very spicy at all FYI). And cute little house hold food items, with Zapp’s chips, cant lose here.

PERFECTLY WRAPPED SANDWICHES SERVICE: The owners make sure everyone is taken care of. Now, that is excellent service! Food: Popular with my family. My mom really liked the chicken salad sandwich. Sometimes, it is unavailable. Parking situation: Very challenging. Pick up vistors parking on the BUS ONLY lane...not too good situation. Drivers waiting on streets blocking traffic to find a spot. Conclusion: Cute sandwich store with condiment and snack displays.

No notes, chefs kiss, pure perfection! I got the wlf and my husband got the lil bambino. Incredible flavor, perfectly portioned, every bite was sublime. The sauce wasn’t overpowering but packed an incredible punch. Will be coming here again and again.

Stopped in because I was looking for the coffee place next door, but since this place had been on my list for a while now, I figured why not go with the serendipity of walking in by mistake and get a sandwich. So I did that. Got the WLF (see pic). One word: Phenomenal. Two words: whimsically tasty. Funny/cute/kitschy names for the sandos. Will definitely be back

Fast, efficient, friendly, and oh so good! As a Seinfeld fan, I very much appreciate the Serenity Now sandwich name, but as a discerning sandwich lover, I appreciate the quality of ingredients and flavor even more! This is the perfect sandwich… textures & flavors all in harmony. I’m so tempted to try some of their other options, but this one is too good to pass up. In and out the door in 10 or 15 mins, even when they are busy. They run a great shop, highly recommended.

I’m not one to leave reviews but when I tell you this was quite literally the best sandwich I have ever had that is not an exaggeration. I almost called them to let them know how delicious my sandwich was. Incredible, fast service and such a cute shop!! Im gonna be a regular!

Great sandwich spot! The Morty was delicious—creamy cheese, fresh mortadella, pesto and peppery arugula with perfect texture. The Big Bambino was just as good, with rich salami and burrata that really hit the spot. Definitely coming back. They even recommended a different bread since I mentioned I was saving one of the sandwiches for later in the day. Very thoughtful.

First time here. 12/6 around 2:00 pm. Greeted by smiling faces coming in. The cashier was very sweet, friendly, and helpful. The sandwich was ready fast. Ordered the Serenity Now! If you're a Seinfeld fan, then you know. Fresh, hearty, flavorful, and delicious. Looking forward to coming back!

Really amazing sandwiches. They have a lot of great options and the sizes are perfect. I’m a huge fan of Bub & Grandma’s so I was happy to see they carry their bread for some of the sandwich options. Yesterday was my first time trying Monroe but it won’t be my last. We tried two of their sandwiches. The Court St, which is roast beef on a roll, and honestly, I really loved it. The London Broil was delicious as well as the rest the sandwich. I added avocado and manchego cheese, which I think made the perfect combination. We also tried the Serenity Now, partly because we are both Seinfeld fans, and because it comes on Bub & Grandma‘s bread. It was also very good, and we added avocado to that as well, which I highly recommend. Overall great sandwiches and I would definitely recommend to anyone.

Brotherrrrrr! I come to town at the end of almost every month and Monroe Pl is the only goto when in Culver City. Amazing bread, meats, and staff. A+++

Somehow this came up on my gluten free lunch search but they don’t have any gluten free bread. The man recommended a salad and it was pretty disappointing. I spent $16 on some sandwich sides with dressing. It’s probably good with bread but if you’re gf I wouldn’t recommend.

Honestly the food is ok. It’s walkable to me so ok would be good enough. Except the two times I’ve been in here I’ve watched the owner (I’m assuming) scream at her staff like it’s Hell’s Kitchen. It’s so not that serious, I can’t recommend a place where you’re watching the staff get yelled at like they are incompetent children. They certainly are not, she should be embarrassed to be seen treating people that way. Just waiting for a sandwich is uncomfortable. Nothing here is good enough to have to listen to her.
