Luckily, I have found my 3rd place: Rodbenders. This place is always filled with great energy, the staff is ready to serve, and the food is ready to impress. Having stood the test of time, it was here long before me and will be here long after. Like any true South Florida staple, it’s got heart and it’s got soul. When you go, visit on a Thursday and ask for the gorgeous blonde —her name might be Michaela. She not only has a rocking body but always greets you with a smile and refills your drink like a sneaky minx before you even realize it’s empty. My order in the attached picture is the delicious, savory, juicy lemon pepper wings with what are probably the world’s best onion rings. As someone trying to expand their taste in onions, these were my enemies-to-lovers. How can an onion ring be so light, crunchy, and juicy all at once? And all at a great price. The place was a little busy so our food took a little longer than we would've preferred. I ordered the hog fish sandwich & my wife ordered the French Dip (she's not a seafood person). The food was very good & our waitress was excellent. I should have got her name but every member of the staff we had an interaction with were very friendly. We recommend this place because of the food, atmosphere & our waitress. It's a little pricey but what restaurant isn't now a days, especially seafood.

We recently dined at RBs for dinner. It had been many years since we last visited under prior ownership. I must say what an improvement! The restaurant was completely remodeled and the decor was modern & decorative. Our waiter Alina was amazing. Very friendly, helpful and accommodating. She answered a lot of questions & knew the menu well. We started with the honey blackened chicken wings and they were organsmic! I had the shrimp & scallops combo and my wife had the wedge salad with ahi tuna. Both were excellent. The drinks were tasty and a great value too! The prices here were very reasonable & we’ll be back again. Thanks.

Prior to that, I had some of the very best, crispy potato skins ever. I hadn't been here in over 15 years, but new ownership (just 3 years) has made this place a bright, cheerful and tasty hit! I'll be back often.

They remodeled the place recently and it feels so much nicer, brighter, and cleaner. The food is always solid, and the chicken wings are definitely the standout—crispy and flavorful every time. Service is friendly, and the overall atmosphere is much improved.

We had a large party with varied tastes, so the limited number is polled (around 4-5) agreed with my assessment. I will try Rod Benders again, because I believe the serving staff was possibly overwhelmed, while the cooking was definitely overwhelmed.

Our server never brought out our drinks for the entire time we were there. Husband had to get up and walk to the bar to order one. When we got the check, all the drinks were on there and she still hadn’t realized she never brought them to us. So she had to adjust the tab. The table next to us had to send their drink back because there were lipstick stains on it. Restaurant wasn’t busy at all and it was far in between our server coming to check on us. Just a different vibe altogether and it was pretty disappointing. I’m someone who hates to leave any negative reviews but I felt I needed to after last night.😓 just not the same 💔

Food 2 stars (smallest chicken sandwich I've had in a long time, . fries were bad enough that I didn't even eat them), . service 2 stars (an hour for sandwiches for the table is a long time, ordered a mahi received chicken, the other people at the table verified with the waitress that I ordered mahi), atmosphere 2 stars (even more loud) Ordered a dolphin sandwich with what was supposed to be a $1 side of steak fries. After over an hour we got our food. Instead of the mahi, got a small chicken sandwich (which was a very small piece of chicken) and a basket of thick cut fries that seemed to be from a frozen bag - I did not see the frozen bag, but they were just not good, nothing like what I'd expect for "steak fries". Total time for a lunch was more than two hours. Old review... Food 5 star, service 5 star, atmosphere 3 stars (very loud), overall 5 stars $25 after tax and tip for a mahi sandwich, with water out of the pipe

Definitely could have been a child or an older person.

The place is run by a bunch of rude children. Walked in and was told by the front to find a clean table. Should have walked out then. But I was told this place was good, they must have been drunk! It took 20 minutes before someone came by after finding a clean table. Staff playing games with each other. Overpriced and small portions. The service: rude girls who argue with you about what you order. When asked if there were any managers here. Was told no, that there was no one in charge there. You get a choice of fries with the dinner but have to pay an upcharge for shoestring fries that come undercooked. The fish was small and tasted bad. The plate was hot, but the food was cold. Over Price apps. When served the apps, the plate looked half eaten already. The coleslaw had changed colors once you opened the container, smelled old and rotten. Could not finish anything they served including the coke which tasted funny as well. I hope I don't end up with food poisoning.
