Black Sheep Coffee is one of the best coffee shops in Dallas! I absolutely love the coffee, matcha, waffles, and smoothie bowls. The atmosphere is amazing for catching up with friends, doing work, and studying. The staff is so nice and helpful (especially Lauren). Definitely try Black Sheep Coffee!!

Had the blueberry matcha latte and the bacon egg and cheese muffin. The blueberry matcha latte was perfectly balanced, not too sweet! And the breakfast sandwich was so delicious, and the bacon was thick compared to most other breakfast sandwiches!

I’m always on the hunt for a great coffee spot, and this one is hard to beat. I purchased an iced honey vanilla latte that tasted fantastic and wasn’t overly sweet, the staff was extremely kind, and the overall aesthetic gives an effortlessly cool vibe with modern western flair. “Good for the soul” is extremely on par with my experience. Stopped in around 12:30/1pm on a Friday, and the shop was quiet enough that it would be a great place to bring my laptop and work.

Came to this Black sheep location on Mockingbird late at night and Jessica still treated me with great service! Will definitely be returning soon.

Already been twice and loved everything we tried. Loved the Hot Chocolate for my son and he enjoyed the Norwegian Waffle with Nutella and Whip Cream. I ordered the Srawberry and Cream Matcha and it was right on point - even my daughter liked it. Service was friendly and the place has a patio, drive thru and great indoor seating options. I was looking for a late night work cafe situation and found the perfect spot! Very spacious for people with laptops and charging station at every spot! One of managers was very kind to do an undersweet strawberry matcha drink for me! It still tasted great for someone who is watching out for sugar level, like myself! Very kind and takes an extra care on everything! I rarely leave a review but this place made my day better with their kindness!!

I came in for the first time today (8/27/2025) on my day off to do a bit of work and relax. I loved the ability to order through the kiosk as it gave me time to view the menu and added a great touch of convenience. It is warm, spacious, and inviting inside, with plenty of seating and space to charge your devices, eat/drink, and work. I received my order within a few quick minutes after putting it in and thoroughly enjoyed the hot chocolate and turkey sandwich that I ordered. I will definitely be back and so happy to have another cozy local coffee shop that I can come to!

I met BSC in Edinburgh, Scotland last year and couldn’t believe it made its way to Dallas - had to stop by! Did my usual other-coffee-shop order and it is the tastiest latte I’ve had in a long time! The seating is nice, many options to sit in a comfy booth, a small table, or even outside in the sun on the patio.

I ordered the brain blend iced latte, so damn good. Smooth and not bitter. Almond croissant was so good, soft and not too buttery. Customer service was excellent thank you Samuell 🤘

A perfect addition to the neighborhood, Black Sheep Coffee offers friendly service and delicious coffee in a convenient location. My spouse and I visited on grand opening weekend and enjoyed the coffee we ordered. We went through the drive thru and did not wait long for our order. The car directly in front of us left the line after just a few minutes of waiting. After they left, the line moved quickly. I definitely recommend this coffee shop and look forward to going back. Note: They need to work out some minor issues like scanning for their rewards program but, these issues are to be expected with a brand new location. The pricing is similar to an international chain.

Black Sheep Coffee just opened up in Lakewood and I’m so happy. This is now the second location in the DFW area. The shop opened up today on Sat, Nov 2nd on Mockingbird. There is plenty of parking and a drive through which makes it even more convenient for those on the go. When you enter into the storefront, you’re greeted with outdoor seating with umbrellas on the patio. Inside, the coffee shop is very open with couches, tables with plenty of seating. There are a few kiosks throughout the cafe making it convenient when this place gets busy and standing on line is a hassle. Black Sheep Coffee offers food from pastries, Norwegian waffles (even matcha flavored ones!), breakfast sandwiches, snacks and other beverages. I ordered an apple crumble iced latte with is defaulted with oat milk (perfect for when I forget to order oat milk as a substitute). They do offer other alternatives, milk options and syrups. I weary that the latte would not have a lot of flavor aside from the apple but I was pleasantly surprised. My latte was extremely tasty and I’ll be back!!

I was so glad there was a location much closer to me because I love the Grapevine location. The staff were all very kind, friendly, & very welcoming just like the staff at the Grapevine location. This time around I got a peach matcha latte which was very good, tasted like a freshly picked ripe peach but, it wasn’t for me. It was too peachy for my liking but If you love peaches, you would love it. I also ordered their egg and cheese bagel w/ sun-dried tomatoes (I ate it too fast for a picture lol). The bagel was super soft, chewy, & piping hot. It was very tasty but I feel like it’s missing something. All in all it’s a great spot to try out with many different drink and food options. Also, lots of room inside to meet with friends, work, or read a book.

Lily was the barista for my drink, I got the gingerbread cold brew latte and it was so good, and not too sweet. They gave me such good recommendations for beverages and snack ideas. They were also so nice and down to earth, I really appreciated them and how welcome they made me feel. <3

Was excited to come here and try their matcha and other coffees! Many varieties of drinks and snacks/food to try at a great price. A/C was nice and cold so bring a sweater to stay cozy. Music was okay, would prefer something more calm and relax but it seems like they were playing dance music. Nonetheless, looking forward to coming back!

I don’t want to write this review. It will mean that more folks will come to my favorite coffee shop, clog up the drive thru, and take my favorite spot in the patio. Please, don’t come here. Go get your common coffee order someplace else. Because not everyone is worthy of spot-on recommendations so in tune with unique tastes. Not everyone deserves to be served by baristas so genuinely kind and effortlessly cool that you wish they were your colleagues. And I can’t imagine what I’d do if my favorite pastry fan out, so don’t come here any try it (hint: everything I’ve tried becomes my new fave.) Because not everyone is willing, as I am, to drive in the opposite direction of my office, past many other local and big chain coffee shops, to come here for a latte so scrumptious and customized (lavender + pistachio is heaven btw), and perfectly paired with made-to-order, hand-grippable waffles (banoffee + nutella will rock your world.) This is my happy place. And it’s better for me if more folks don’t discover it. Y’all can go to that White coffee shop with rocks. No Black Sheep Coffee for you. Their matcha lattes are amazing and already made with oatmilk so you dont have to worry about changing the milk! Matcha lemonades are amazing too. And their waffles 🤤 as well as their bakery items and food options, vegetarian friendly too. Perfect place to do work especially since they are open till 10pm. Took a trip to Dallas for a concert, and we had never tried black sheep coffee before. We like to try new coffee because we have 3 barista in our own group. We were so impressed with the service on June 24th in the AM. The girls working with short dark curly hair with glasses and the other girl wearing a pink head scarf, made our drinks so D@mn good! This is the first place since visiting Texas all week that would steam my milk at the temperature I requested (picky barista from Seattle here)! Was also pleasantly surprised at the great customer service! I wish I had tried this place out when I first got here, I wouldn't go anywhere else. 4 stars because again, I'm picky. The milk didn't have best texture, but I've certainly had worse. It was also too sweet, but now I know for next time to order less sweet. I would absolutely recommend and definitely come back

Initially I missed the parking entrance, and that required a whole loop. The establishment seems to be more drive thru friendly. However, it is beautifully decorated inside, and it looks cozy if you want to study or to meet with friends. There are two kiosks where you can order from. I had the strawberry matcha, which was delicious. It did taste sweeter than I normally prefer, and it wasn’t as hot as it should be. The raisin danish was flaky, but I did feel it was overpriced for the size of it. The barista was nice. It’s worth experiencing it for yourself if you are in the area, but I wouldn’t go out of my way for it.

Black Sheep Coffee in Dallas is a great spot for both a quick stop or a place to hang out for some coffee. One nice perk is the drive-thru, which is perfect if you’re in a rush. The Norwegian waffles were delicious, and the coffee was good (though not piping hot). Inside, chill vibes, there’s plenty of seating, making it a solid place to get some work done or just relax. Ordering is done via touch screen, which makes customizing your drink easy and convenient without having to order at the counter. Overall, a good experience- I’d recommend it and would definitely come back for another coffee and snack.

Let’s start with the good news. They nailed the atmosphere. There’s a great variety of seating options and visually the colors and artworks made me feel like I was in an interesting and creative space. The coffee drinks were average plus. Now, the not so good news. The service felt slow. The peanut butter and banana waffle had almost no banana on it. We returned it and the second go ‘round they presented us with what looked like an entirely different order. But it was what we ordered, it was just prepared the proper way. This tells me that they are still working out their quality control issues. They also didn’t provide us with napkins and there were none out for self-service. The plain waffle could have used a bit of butter and syrup. But there was no condiments counter where I could grab these little enhancements that would make the experience better for me while at the same time not disrupting the staff’s workflow. We’ll come back in a few months and see how things are progressing.

We went around 5pm on a Saturday, a bit slow. Our order took about 15 mins to come out. Waffle lacked nutella and strawberries. I also ordered a chai which wasn’t hot, it may have been sitting for a bit after it was made. I’d like to try again maybe during breakfast?

I have waited a very long time to leave this review because I was really hoping they would change. I have even mentioned my concerns with a staff member. I asked the staff member, “Why is it that you guys never clean the tables AND chairs inside or outside.?” Because I literally have to clean and sanitize my table and chair every time I go. Her response was, “Oh, we’re always so short handed.” I continued, “Hmm. It’s 2 or 3 of y’all behind the counter at all times and y’all are constantly on your phones .” At the moment that I asked her that question, I had been watching them about two hours not come out and clean, but they have time to browse on their phones. I never see anyone clean the restrooms , sweep or mop the floors either except for the manager when he arrives but I’ve only seen that once. They do a good job with the coffee. My only critique about the food items is that they don’t have vegan options, but that’s not a problem because I’m used to that. I just wish they were more clean and sanitary!!! I shouldn’t have to clean up just to drink a cup of coffee or enjoy the space.

Fun atmosphere. The Dallas art on the walls paired with good seating give it a fun vibe. Napkins are nowhere to be seen, and you have to ask for them. Be prepared to be a little underwhelmed with the drinks and food. Little bit of a mismatch between price and quality.

The difficulty of receiving a receipt from this place was nuts. Also if you order a lemonade with no ice they just pour water in your cup to fill it up so as a result you get a $7 cup of water with a weird taste. No ice doesn’t mean dilute my lemonade with water people, that was so raggedy for yall to do. They should be ashamed of themselves.

Really wanted to like this place, until I received my “bacon egg and cheese bagel” I wish I would’ve taken a picture literally gave me half a slice of turkey bacon, half egg, maybe 1/4 cheese slice. I don’t even eat a lot so if I’m complaining about portions then it’s real. For 10-11$?! Def do better. Felt like a scam never again

Over priced if you ask me. The ladies where welcoming when we arrived. Greeted us. Upon collecting our order the kept giving me half of my order and then someone else's order I repeated myself we didn't order hot drinks kept saying that was my order. Wasnt until I showed them my order did I get the right stuff. You don't get what you order(waffles) we selected a Nutella strawberry waffle, $9 for a waffle with what seems like a jelly with no traces of Nutella or strawberries. So different than what was pictured on the menu or online(see pics) Drinks are decent not anything special. All I can say is we came we tried and won't come back.

They gave me the wrong Matcha green and then when I get to work, they gave me the wrong waffle. I asked for a strawberry Nutella waffle the girl that took my order didn’t even repeat the order back or give me my receipt.

I stopped by tonight and, unfortunately, had a very disappointing experience with the two young ladies working the counter. When my order was called out, I asked one of them which one was mine. The lady in front of me looked at me, rolled her eyes, and completely ignored me while pretending to be busy. Then a second lady came over and I told her I had a question about my item, but they both continued to ignore me and exchanged mean glances at me instead of helping. Eventually, the second lady told the first one to leave the counter and said in an annoyed tone that she would answer my question. By that point, I was already over it and didn’t want them to continue being rude to me, so I told her it was fine. She then scoffed and glared at me as I walked away. The drink itself was good, but the attitudes of the employees really ruined the overall experience. I’m not sure if they were both having a bad day, but that doesn’t mean they have to take that out on other people.

The sloppiness of this place was amazing. Their whole Theme is “sorry, is a UK thing, we don’t do this… we don’t do that.” The tables were not clean, the coffee taste was bitter and burnt and the way they put the sandwich together was completely careless and when you asked about the pastries… forget it… it was a a shoulder shrug. NEVER coming back.

Worst coffee experience ever. So based on my digital receipt, I ordered at 8:25am. They have a tv screen on top where you can check your order status. I think maybe it took 20-25 min or so to receive the iced americano & my half grilled cheese sandwich, which isn’t that bad. At this point, our order #063 was at the top of the screen. I was still waiting on 1 more drink item- the iced strawberry and cream matcha latte. Anyways, grilled cheese sandwich has almost no cheese. See my picture. It’s a thin 1 cheese layer. So I’m waiting for my last drink to be made, and then out of nowhere my order #63 dropped to the bottom/last order on the tv. We were annoyed but decided we will still wait. It got to the top eventually and then it dropped again, but to the middle. It was busy in there too so that was really annoying. I would wait again but for all I know, the my drink could drop for the 3rd time.. which I wasn’t going to wait around for considering I’ve been there for 35 minutes already. They’re trying to make everyone’s new orders before mine. Anyways, just order something basic and never order a matcha! Or don’t come at all. I asked for a refund which was a simple process, but I was surprised they don’t even offer to make it at that exact moment on the spot. There was also some other man behind me who also asked for a refund.

wanted a peppermint mocha so that we could enjoy while driving to see Holiday Lights. what a disappointment. Service was horrible. I was the only one in line at drive thru. couldn't understand the guy. no one at payment window when we arrived. Then at pick up window, two of them were standing on counter cleaning. these teens minding the shop had no understanding of customer service. The coffee was horrible. I asked if they put peppermint in it since I tasted none and they assured me they had. Dropped it in the trash and went down the street to Starbucks who delivered a perfect coffee with impeccable customer service.

Worst matcha latte I've had. Was basically water. Spanish latte was....interesting. If you're not getting matcha here, I guess it's ok if you don't care too much for the quality of the drinks

Highly upset with the service I received at black sheep today. I make coffee reviews on TikTok, and was excited to try this place. From the moment I was ordering I could tell the manager was flustered. I decided to brush it off, but when It was time to pay he just said “card” so I could hand him my card to pay without even telling me total, and when I asked he got mad. When I was ordering I said I wanted the regular size NIT small about 3-4 times. I repeated it multiple times. He charged me for the regular size, but in the pictures below you can see, he made my drink small, and just put it in the bigger cup thinking I wouldn’t notice. On top of his horrible attitude, he thought I was stupid and wouldn’t notice. HORRIBLE experience here, I’m HIGHLY upset. I debated on posting it on TikTok, but I know it would ruin the company.. , this is truly so infuriating and has never happened to me at ANY coffee shop in Dallas. You can see in the pictures the double cup, with a space at the bottom from the cups being different sizes. The manager on duty was “vatsal”? I could be misspelling it, but the worker said that was his names
