Great Drinks Spot with Good Food
Amazing food and cocktails.
wonderful!
Great place!
Such a cool fun place. We had six out of the 8 savory menu items and they were wonderfully unique. Decor is filled with succulents and green plants, great vibe. We enjoyed cocktails that were deliciously interesting. Service was great as there was always some one delivering food, clearing or making sure all was well. Highly recommend for a fun experience.
We had the perfect date night here. The service was amazing, our server was extra attentive and although the food took a bit of time he always made sure we were taken care of. We came on Saturday night at 8pm and the sunset through the windows makes this place extra special. Please order the Daniela from Puebla it was a delicious well rounded mezcal cocktail.
I was there for Día de Muertos with Casa Makinche 🍹 Great drinks, energy, and vibes, can’t wait for the next one.
Food is amazing but just know it’s a fancy place and more of a tasting menu then a full your tummy place. But such a nice experience.
Go now while the menu is by chef Misti. The ribs and salad are amazing. The Daniela from Puebla cocktail is my favorite
My team & I came for happy hour and had the best time! The drinks were FIRE, & We loved the loaded potato costra, and the ribs! Can’t wait to come back!
I will come back for the habanero lime wings. So good. If the owners are looking at this I just wish they were crispy. But that's just me. Great place to chill and eat.
My favorite smoke shop it’s so lovely!!
Excellent in every way. Great creative menu. Good beer list. Great cocktails. Efficient friendly service. Great fun vibe.
Bring this concept all over DFW. What a whimsical, creative, thoughtful, rememberable place to enjoy dinner and drinks. Felt like I escaped the day to day. Can’t explain, just come visit and see for yourself.

Place has amazing vibe and would make a great date spot… it’s so cozy you feel like you’re in your pajamas at home with all your best friends.
Beautiful space, friendly staff, incredible meal!
loved it at this place, quick to cook and tasty
Really cool place! Loved the vibes, and the food and service were great too!
Exceptional menu and gracious staff. Cheers to this amazing addition to Dallas. Excited to return soon!!

Wonderful vibe, such a cute place. Love it!
Super cool place to have dinner and drinks. Food & drinks were super delicious. All the different ingredients put together on each dish made this place special
I was fortunate enough to be able to visit Far Out while I was visiting from New England. This was hands down one of the best dining experiences I have had in years. Daniel, our server was super friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu and suggested a fantastic wine to pair with an assortment of sharing plates. Beyond the excellent quality of the food, you could genuinely tell that the staff loved their establishment and had a lot of fun out of making it a truly enjoyable place to spend quality time with family and friends. Once the dinner crowed shuffled out, they busted out old school jams and really ended our night on a high note! I would 100% return next time I'm in town - shoutout to the bar staff for bringing the good vibes late night!
Last night we stopped in at Far Out before going to see a concert. The food was incredible! Outstanding quality for a reasonable price. The food has a very thoughtful and upscale feel without losing the comfort aspect that is necessary when dining. The decor indoors and on the patio is so charming! I'd love to host a private event here. Although we're a far way from Dallas, I'll be stopping back by next time we see a show or a game in downtown.
I visited Far Out and was truly moved—not just by the food, but by the feeling. The owner came by our table with such warmth, and it felt like being welcomed into someone’s home. This place carries the softness of an eternal sunset—quiet, golden, and full of comfort. The flavors are nothing short of magical—each bite tells a story, familiar yet surprising. The drinks are equally wonderful, crafted with the same care and creativity as the dishes. Thank you for the kind attention, the thoughtful details, and for creating a space that feels like home, even if just for a little while.
Dallas has such a great bar / restaurant scene that it’s hard to top each other, but Far Out has managed to top all of them. Apart from consistently, excellently made, well crafted cocktails, this is a bar where the staff still cares. Food is incredible. The bartenders make the experience fun and on top of that, the aesthetic and decor are absolutely stunning and unique in dallas. As a West Texas girl, this place is nostalgic. As a Dallas transplant, this place is my favorite bar. It is unique and fun
From the start, the restaurant delights. It has a relaxed atmosphere, killer staff, & amazing food. I can’t wait to come back. 5 stars.
Drinks and service at the bar were exceptional. Food was good too but we'll be trying other things on the menu when we go again some time.
I visited Far out for the first time this past weekend, I had gone previously when it was Wriggly Tin and didn't have the best experiences then. My experience this time was much better! The ambiance inside is just amazing with all the plants and terracotta planters. I liked the more limited menu. I was there with 2 other friends are we shared everything. We got 2 orders of the white bean dip (it was that good), baby gem salad, stuffed mushrooms, loaded potato, and the tagliatelle. All the food was amazing but you HAVE to get the tagliatelle, the bread crumbs on top and the white sauce were so delicious. It was pretty slow when we arrived but near the end the place started filling up and our server let us know the bar was behind on drink orders. Would definitely recommend the Daniela from Puebla and the Southbound Smash cocktails. I will definitely be coming back!
Wow, great everything. We went early without a reservation and got seated right away. They have a smaller menu (and smaller plates) that use a lot of locally grown items. We got the Bean dip, the salad, the ribs and the fried porchetta. We also had this blackberry buttermilk pie type dessert that was super good. Everything was delicious! Service was on point, we met the owner, nice guy. They have a huge outdoor area. Will be back!
We came here for a friend’s birthday dinner and it was amazing. Pure culinary perfection! The service top notch, the drinks impeccable. Such great vibes!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had an amazing dinner at Far Out Dallas! Our party of 6 was lucky to have Ashley as our server—she was friendly, knowledgeable, and guided us through the menu perfectly. She suggested we try 6–9 dishes, so we went for it and ordered everything on the menu. The pasta was the standout—absolutely incredible. Rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The mushrooms were a surprise hit—unexpectedly delicious with such depth of flavor. The tri tips and potatoes were packed with savory goodness and perfectly seasoned. Honestly, everything was really good. The only dish I wouldn’t order again were the ribs—they were a bit tough for my taste. But everything else more than made up for it. The atmosphere is fantastic—cool, vibrant, and a great vibe for a night out. My only wish is that they had a more developed wine program, as none of us are big liquor or beer drinkers. That said, I did enjoy a nice glass of prosecco with dinner. Overall, a wonderful experience. We’ll definitely be back!
You guys… this is hands down my favorite spot in Dallas. The food, drinks, service and atmosphere were amazing on a Tuesday night. I came for dinner with 1 other person and ordered two entrees: Tagliatelle and the Tri tip. I’m not a big steak eater but this was by far the best steak I’ve had. So flavorful and light. Blueberry French 75 to top it off. Heard they do live music on Thursdays. Carlos was an amazing server! I will be back!!
This is a cute & chill vibes place. The DJ could have been better the Friday that I went. The only thing is I wish it was open past 12am. The bartenders are great and make the experience even better.
Had some out of town colleagues in and chose Far Out for a dinner. It was fantastic all around. Every course we had was great, service was wonderful. Shout to the bartender, Alex. Fantastic cocktails.
Cool spot in the heart of the city. The staff was friendly. They didn't have any table service for the outdoor space and the bar wait was a little long.
We went here on a Friday night! Drinks, food, service, and vibe all on point! Definitely plan to be back! Thanks, Adam! 3rd round was today and let me tell you 5 stars still stands! Food was delicious, drinks A1, but the service can't beat. See you next week Adam!
Such an excellent patio and bar vibe that I wasn’t expecting given location-I went for chef Norris who always crushes it, this time the tri tip and potato were excellent as was the white bolognese.
Such a cool spot! We only had drinks and dessert, but both were top notch! At 10pm there was a DJ playing some good tunes, we didn't expect that to happen as we went there to chat, but still it was fun!
I visited Far Out today and absolutely loved it. The dishes are unlike anything you usually find—they’re beautifully presented and bursting with incredible flavors. Prices are very reasonable, the service is outstanding, and the place itself is magical, with different areas and unique atmospheres. Mr. Jeffers, the owner, is a great man—he’s the first to put on an apron and be present in every space, making sure everything runs perfectly. That’s what real leadership looks like. We even had a brief conversation, and he’s truly a great guy. I’ll definitely be back soon, and I highly recommend everyone to visit this amazing spot.
On my last trip to Dallas, my friend made reservations at this amazing restaurant. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted and seated at a cozy booth — five stars for that alone. Our server came by right away and offered to answer any questions about the menu. We ordered some delicious cocktails, and they were spot-on. The food arrived promptly. The dishes are on the smaller side (tapas-style), so we ordered three plates and one dessert to share between the two of us. We tried items No. 1, 6, 9, and 11 — all beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. Kudos to the chef and to the bar manager, Dru, for making the most amazing margaritas I’ve had in the past year. If you’re in the area, this place is a must-try
Check this place out! We did and “Oh wow” were my first words walking from the parking lot into the Far Out backyard. It feels like a West Texas escape — creative, comfortable, and made for a cocktail. It was a cool night, so we headed inside. Warm lighting, high ceilings, and easy style. I had a nonalcoholic gin mocktail that was delicious. Dinner favorites were the cured fish crudo with habanero, cilantro oil, and dukah, and the corn fritters with tomatillo jam. Both packed serious flavor. Dessert was the best surprise: pear meringue with fennel crème and an olive oil cake with layers of apple — fermented, pickled, and caramelized. Unreal. Inventive menu, beautiful space, and kind staff. Far Out is the real deal. Great job, Allison and team!
I literally cannot say enough good about this place. Get over to Fair Park now and try this place if you haven’t. Most unique and creative menu I’ve seen in about as long as I can remember, and the atmosphere is as aesthetic as it gets. This is definitely going to be one of my new go-to spots.
This place is great! Brought my wife here for a date and did not leave disappointed. The atmosphere, food/drinks, service is top notch! Nice touch of fine dining with a laid back atmosphere. Servers described the food nicely, the drinks were well made and overall I left impressed. I’m definitely coming back! If you’re expecting a bunch of mediocre food along with drinks this is NOT the place for you.
My husband and I visited Far Out yesterday to celebrate our anniversary, and the experience was wonderful from start to finish. The restaurant is beautiful, with clean, thoughtfully designed interiors and a spacious outdoor patio. The service was exceptional. Alex at the bar was very knowledgeable about the drinks, and offered us some good recommendations. We were then seated and taken care of by Daniel, who was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and suggested his personal favorites; the white bean dip, duck salad, pork shank cappelletti, and crispy chicken—all of which were beautifully plated, cooked to perfection, and absolutely delicious. The dishes highlighted simple, local ingredients that were expertly executed. I'd also like to mention Alison who suggested we get the olive oil cake which was a good way to end the meal. She also took the time to share some background about the restaurant, which made the experience feel even more personal. Overall, it was a fantastic night and a truly memorable dining experience. We will definitely be back and highly recommend Far Out to anyone looking for great food, service, and atmosphere.
We enjoyed a truly delightful evening at Far Out in Dallas. Each course was wonderful, starting with the roasted garlic white bean dip with chili oil, followed by the lemongrass duck confit salad and the crispy chili and pecan rubbed heritage chicken. The flavors were perfectly balanced and so thoughtfully done. For dessert, the olive oil cake was light, subtle, and just right. The space has a beautiful, artful feel, and the owner is such a warm and gracious host who makes you feel right at home. We cannot wait to return.
Dinner date tonight at Far Out in Dallas, Texas. I have had this place on a list to visit for several months waiting for the perfect day. Today was the right day, having a cool evening temperature coupled with being in the area at the right time for dinner. We opted for four dishes and a couple of drinks, all were great and not overly filling so each could be enjoyed. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu that changes regularly. The location is not a hotspot for great food and drinks but the food is what you would expect from Uptown, West Village, Bishop Arts or Knox-Henderson areas. #dallas #dallasrestaurants #faroutdallas
Loved our dinner for 4 at Far Out. We ordered 8 dishes total (6 apps/proteins, 2 desserts) and shared all of them. The white bean dip, sweet potato dish, pork cappelletti and olive oil cake were top favorites but we still enjoyed the other dishes as well! Atmosphere is very calming and noise levels were great.
We finally got the chance to check out Far-Out Dallas, where Misti Norris and several of her team members from Petra and the Beast are currently at. We have been huge fans of Misti's food since dining at the orignal Petra location. The food was delicious! No, it's not cheap. But we really enjoyed everything we tried last night. We're in East Dallas near the Arboretum, and it was a quick 8 - 10 minute drive from our house, which is awesome! Far-Out will definitely be one of our regular go to restaurants!
First time in Dallas and Far-Out was our very first stop and it did NOT miss. The vibe is chill, fun, and perfect for friends and family to hang out. We tried a few small plates and my top picks were: • Cured fish with crunchy cumin unreal flavor • Lemongrass duck confit salad with crispy pork big, fresh, and so tasty • Smothered Texas chuck flap rich, balanced, and a must-try < I love side salad that served with steak I’m seriously so impressed and the cute little garden next to Hermanita House just adds to the magic. Dallas people… go check this place out. 💯
A great atmosphere with elevated menu items that can be easily shared or eaten as an entree. The aircraft hangar curve of the ceiling reflects light so well and helped dampen the sound. There is a large bar in the middle.
Amazing new spot in South Dallas with great beer, drinks, and food. Ambience is terrific and the service was top notch. We tried three items off the menu and it was plenty for the two of us, with the chicken and pork shank being highlights. The frozen drinks were amazing too. Will be back many times, especially for thd Sunday happy hour! 2/14/26 update - still amazing!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫☄️ The small plates are excellent with great presentation, and the cocktails are creative and delicious. I had the duck confit salad, dumplings, and fig cheesecake — each one was fantastic. The menu changes frequently, which makes me look forward to coming back and trying something new. 11/10 experience!
Love this place. I went last night, and hung out at the bar. I had the tagliatelle - Which was damn good. I had blantons 🥃, which is hard to find sometimes. The staff at the bar were great, and accommodating. I also enjoyed the atmosphere inside, and out. I am big fan of 🌵, and it’s such a great place for a drink 🥃 and to just hang out. I will definitely be returning.
Far out is an upscale casual dining experience with rotating menus, "just right" portions that are presented in a passionate manner. The theme and atmosphere is unlike any other I've experienced in Dallas. The outside has a desert, rustic and modern vibe to it with the inside transitioning into a more intimate setting by utilizing dim lighting, comfortable seating and a rounded construction that molds the decor and style all together. The service was great and our seating preferences were catered to. We were checked on several times to see if we needed anything. Ashley took great care of us. You can see the chefs in the kitchen working smoothly to get every order out in a timely and careful manner. The kitchen has last call around 8:30-8:45pm and the closes while the bar remains open, currently, until 12pm or until zoning laws change. I was told its a very lively vibe during the weekends where they also close at 12pm. The food was very eloquently presented and crafted to be delicious and extraordinary, which is definitely was. We highly recommend the chips and hummus. The chips were crunchy and toasty and very well seasoned. The chili hummus paired nicely. The chuck slab I had was very tender and paired well with the ingredients they chose which, going based off memory, was a delicious cheese that reminded me of blue cheese, mint, parsley, red onions a special sauce and a fried potato mash that was fried on the outside and was shaped like a stick of butter. The fried egg plant was delicious too and was very appealing to my girlfriend who is used to typical vegetarian/vegan dishes such as some carb with cheese, pasta or a salad. This dish was very creative and satisfied her appetite. Overall, the flavors blended together very well, staff were very welcoming, they offer non alcoholic craft beverages and the outside lounge area is great, cacti filled area, for an after dinner chill spot for photos or relaxing. It makes you anticipate what they may have next on the menu. Come check it out, it's a little spot that you wouldn't know offered as much as it does.
Update: Back for the third time and I love how their menu is always different! Still as amazing as the first time I came. Truly one of the best restaurants in Dallas right now. Atmosphere feels like Santa Fe/Austin vibes. The food is high quality and affordable, you can definitely see Misti’s style come through. The menu rotates but the tostado was my favorite! Excellent service and good people. This is the kind of place I just want to chill at on summer nights!
Tried the ribs and pasta- both were so good and flavorful. Decent portions too. Great service and Free parking lot. The ambiance was relaxing during dinner time and then theres a live DJ later at night. Outdoor seating area is also super cute and inviting. Would definitely come back here!
Hole In The Wall, Sleeper venue. This place will be a giant when people find out about it. My youngest played live here tonight and this is how we found it. We ordered the Profound Farms Tomato salad, Tagliatelle, and the cured Hirimasa Tostada. Everything was amazing! Sharing with all our friends and family. This place is so cute for date night. I had a girl’s night and it was so special.
Easily becoming one of my favorite spots for food and drink in Dallas. Adam and Alex are exceptional behind the bar. The drinks are great and well thought out. Chef Misti’s food menu is superb. Definitely recommend the Tagliatelle, the Texas Tri-Tip and The Texas strawberry cobbler, in that order. Looking forward to my next visit.

Absolutely spectacular! Lowkey environment that also felt exclusive and intimate. Sever was highly knowledgeable about the menu and gave specific food recs based on our drink orders. Imaginary, local, and in-season menu made for a unique experience that I’ll always crave. Highly recommend for a special night as we were treated just as special as the occasion itself.
From the food to the vibes to the music and atmosphere this place hits on all cylinders. The quality of the food is at an amazing price point. There’s complex complexity. There’s brightness there’s unexpectedness in every dish. I cannot say enough. The wine and cocktail pairings are also a delight along with the dessert. We tried it ALL-zero regrets 20 / 10. Calvin gave us a wonderful experience, giving us the information and context we needed to understand the menu, the restaurant and the vibe at the same time allowing us to enjoy our experience. Chef’s kiss 💋
Wonderful. Food was excellent. Duck confit salad, mushroom risotto ball and crudo were all fantastic. Introduced to a new Chardonnay that was lovely. Cocktails on point. Just go, it's awesome.

Busy cuisine, some worked, some didn't. I really liked this place and it is sooo close to five stars.... My wife and I came for supper - I began with their corn fritters (16) while my wife tried a Daniela From Puebla (15)(elderberry liqueur with tequila and things) and loved it . For our entrees my wife got scallop crudo (17) and Wagyu dumplings (19), while I got the special: squash milanese (15)(pattypan steaks with some crema - vegetables blended with sour creme). Not the most comfortable of surroundings, but new and nice. Wonderful attentive staff. The vibe of a bar presented as a restaurant - better to eat at in the daylight. The food: I got almost enough to eat with the corn fritters and the squash milenese. I almost had an issue with my wife's selections. Her very small bowl of scallops just tasted weird - not bad,but not good either. I ate the tofu cubes out of her dumplings broth and they just plain tasted wrong - like restroom sanitizer - not uninteresting, but wrong. Big money for small portions. Interesting, but insubstantial in a number of ways. Might be back, but Kalachandji's is so close......
Food didn’t taste very fresh, the service was great but the food was nothing special. A bit overpriced. It’s family style so you’ll get full price for very small portions.
Cool atmosphere to grab drinks if you're in the area. The food is mediocre at best.
The food wasn't bad but the portion sizes were tiny. I had the olive oil cake after and wasn't great either and still hungry after. The drinks, service, and atmosphere were great though. Would come back but for drinks only.
Despite being a James Beard semifinalist, the restaurant fell short on flavor balance—the acidity often overpowered sweetness. The limited menu (just three main dishes, including a sweet potato) felt restrictive, though the sweet potato paired nicely with the steak. The white bean dip was excellent, with a smooth hummus-like texture and premium crackers. The atmosphere was pleasant, but the warehouse-style space with cement floors lacked comfort, especially in winter. Charging $4 for a few tortilla chips for a gluten-free guest felt excessive and left a cheap impression.
they done and gentrified the hood 💔
Have been looking forward to checking this place out for a few weeks. Unfortunately, we did not have a great experience and I would not recommend it to anyone unless there is a major overhaul on service training. There was no tp in the bathrooms on a Saturday night, at 11 pm. The bartender openly laughed at my friend when she asked him to customize one of the drinks on the menu and continued to treat her with hostility the rest of the evening, that same bartender later opened a bottle of prosecco in a manner that caused both himself and me to be sprayed with alcohol. I was literally wiping my hair down with cocktail napkins. He never once said sorry, and proceeded to give me that same bottle (good chunk of it was now in my hair and clothes). It's a shame because the space itself is beautiful and has a lot of potential.
I ordered their steak and I believe I was the most disappointing steak and sour salad I have ever had we had about 3 different waiters and was confusing
Bar manager couldn’t be bothered. Asked a question about the food was ignored. Asked to close tab was ignored
Retro laid back atmosphere with mediocre food. Both margarita flavors are good and strong otherwise I wouldn’t recommend the restaurant. One try is good enough. The chicken plate is gonna be your best choice for a dinner plate but no sides are included. The pasta dish was horrible. Very limited menu. The Spicy bean dip appetizer was decent for two people. And if you go with a group they won’t split the check. So be prepared to put everything on one card. It’s also very cold inside so you might need a jacket.
Been sitting outside for 45 mins with no service.
Reservation was made for 9pm but hostess turned us away at the door and said they don’t take reservations past 8:45. Management needs to fix their reservation system and correct this error.
We came here for our 27th wedding anniversary. Waited patiently at the bar but never received service. Other than giving us a glass of water no one ever bothered to acknowledge us. When we walked out no one bothered to acknowledge us. Not sure if it was a loud silent message amidst the current climate of our country or just poor customer service.
Their website says the bar doesn't close until midnight - they were locked up before 11. Booo
Honestly bar tenders were horrible. Wouldn't come back. They don't give a bucket of ice to keep beers cold outside, busboy made it happen after hearing us talk about it. Theyre smart asses, said over and over didn't have high noon, but magically they found some when called out after people next to us walked out with them. Bar tender was more worried about everything else around the bar than taking our order.
