This place has a very nice aesthetic and the food is quite good. Pros: You can choose different hotness levels. Service is moderately fast. The vibe is cool and the restaurant is usually not dirty. They have waffles and a special sauce. Just flew into Dallas and after checking in my hotel, I wanted to unwind and order lunch. I chose Lucky’s Hot Chicken from Uber eats. I’m so glad I did! It was delicious! I got hot chicken and fries, came with pickles and Texas toast. I also ordered a frozen margarita which my state doesn’t do, so I was excited, and it was so delicious! I def recommend this place, great food and service.

First time in and WOW! Moistest chicken tender EVER! Everything was perfect. If you sensitive to spice though - trust me - go with the Feeling Lucky level of spice.😉. My husband got the waffle and tenders and that was also wonderful! The kids loved their nuggets and fries as well. Should have taken a picture before we devoured it. But you can see nothing was left. It's a cute chicken restaurant with great vibes and even greater chicken! Lucky's does just a few things, but they do them so well; The chicken is tender and flavorful, and they offer several sauces and dry rub spices to appease your palatte. With sandwiches, tenders, and even whole fried breasts and wings, there's plenty to satisfy. The service is always wonderful! Carlos is the man! Everyone is always so friendly and service is prompt! I really like the vibe; the place has tons of vintage jazz and blues posters painted onto the walls. The checkered tile and red booths give a 50s-60s diner feel, but with a modern twist. I recommend the buffalo chicken sandwich and the shake fries with Lucky's Sauce!

We were craving fried chicken, and decided to give this new place a try and we were not disappointed. First I have to say, stepping into this restaurant made me feel like I was traveling back in time to a dinner from the 70s, I loved the look of the restaurant. Everything was clean and everyone was wearing a mask and practicing social distancing (for the most part). They also have hand sanitizer available for customers at the checkout. Their menu is really simple and easy to understand. We went with the "Little Tenders" which includes two jumbo tenders, pickles, bread and a side of your choice. I chose "damn lucky" for the spice level; my husband on the other hand, was feeling very brave and decided to go with "Lucky AF". When we got our chicken, we both thought the Chicken was tender and juicy, and we liked it a lot. However, my husband did start sweating and his nose started running because his chicken was too spicy! so the spice scale is to be taken seriously! Oh also we got the "comeback sauce" and the honey infused with peppers, and they were both good. We enjoyed our meal and will definitely come back soon and get damn lucky again!

If you go to Dallas you must try Lucky's. We hadn't been in a little while, so we were excited to revisit today. I normally get the chicken strips or chicken sandwich, wanted to try the wings today. I got the Asian bbq and Hot honey sauce on my wings. Asian bbq was okay, probably won't order that sauce again a little too sweet for me. The hot honey though was very good, it hit the spot. Will definitely try the hot honey on a sandwich or strips next time. Service is always quick and they are always polite.

Man, this spot never misses! A classic in Dallas. I got the 3 tender combo and of course a banana pudding! The staff member that helped me was actually so helpful. We talked though some potential different flavors and he helped me decide. I think his name was Bristen. Give that man a raise!

Let me start by saying this is a “CASH FREE” establishment! So please bring your plastic or use the pay by phone method. I was unaware of that being this was my 1st visit. The sign is on the door but on the very bottom half instead of up in eye view. The lobby could’ve been attended to as we had a hard time finding clean seating. Everything was pretty good though and made to order. Very good portions of food for the price. Customer service was great & there is a sweet treat(🍦) free of charge with every meal. 🙃

I got the Damn Lucky (medium hot) tenders, and they were just the right amount of spicy. They were good! And seasoned fries were good too! My boyfriend got the Lucky AF (really hot) chicken with waffles, and the chicken was SPICY, he was unable to eat them.. it was a huge difference between both choices. And even the waffles were a bit spicy!

I don’t leave many reviews. I came in super last minute (5min before close, felt super bad because the were cleaning up but I had just got off work). Julie and the team took my guilt away with their level of service. Can tell the whole team is great because you can see in the kitchen and nobody seemed bothered about me walking in late haha. Food was also great. Will be back to try some of the other items Julie recommended.

The food was delicious, perfectly seasoned, and had just the right amount of heat without overpowering the flavor. What really stood out, though, was the amazing customer service. Anabel went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and walked me through the menu since it was my first time. She was friendly, patient, and made the whole experience even better. Just left Lucky’s and Brother Carlos is the best. He’s so approachable and always cheerful. As soon as we walked in he comes and welcomes us and tells us how great it is we came in. First time ever trying out Lucky's, and it was an amazing first experience! Came during the nighttime, and despite how late it was, I was greeted with enthusiasm and genuine care by Carlos P! Such great service, extremely clean and great prices, definitely coming back for seconds!

What a cool place with innovative bites! They even had oldies playing on the radio. The old school phones on the wall were a fun touch- I got to show my young friends how they work. The complimentary soft serve was another sweet addition that really made this joint feel like a step back in time. I went with the red velvet waffles and medium hot chicken, and was SO excited to find out it was scrumptious. The mash up of sweet and spicy, soft and crunchy- it all just makes sense. The shake fries were also a hit with everyone at the table. Wow, Lucky’s- you really did something! Can’t wait to come back.

1st time visiting it happens to be Halloween and who do I meet working the register ( L.L Cool 😎 J. ) jk, it was Carlos dressed up as LL Cool J. I ordered a smashed burger, Onion rings and coleslaw. ( not use to Texas style of slaw.) Really enjoyed my meal. Should have taken photos, but I ate it so fast, definitely next time when I return for chicken with waffles.

I ordered their special of the month, a Chicken Bacon Ranch Quesadilla and it was both filling and delicious. The tortilla was nice and crispy with chicken wrapped around gooey cheese. The quesadilla hit the spot for lunch. I recommend ordering online because it gets busy during lunch!

Really good Nashville Hot Chicken. I usually prefer my hot chicken on the bone but I found the chicken tenders here very tasty. Having tried the top 3 hottest spice levels, Damn Lucky is my favorite. It’s got some great heat to it but it’s not overwhelming hot. I really enjoyed the Mac & cheese. Rich & creamy. The buttery Texas Toast was also a delicious delight. If there were a Lucky’s close to me, I’d definitely eat here again. Prices are fair and the food is great. You owe it to yourself to stop on it and get yourself some chicken.

Note: At this time they don't seem to take cash so bring your credit card. The food was extremely delicious 🤤 just wish I could have eaten more 😋. There is a lot of parking spaces at this location 🛻🚗🚙🏍️. This place will get busy quickly around lunch and dinner time 👍. You must try this place for yourself at least once.

By far some of the best chicken I ever had, everything was cooked to perfection from texture to taste. Let’s not leave out their amazing smash burger, which is also some of the best I had. Their sides are sooooooooo fire, nothing in this place disappoints. And everyone who works there does everything with care and love, the atmosphere was amazing the people there are truly wonderful. And the for the price their food is a steal.

Nice clean restaurant. Reminds me a little of In-N-Out Burger. Tried the Red Velvet Waffles and Tenders with the lowest heat level. The chicken was very juicy and flavorful. The waffles were fluffy. Each meal comes with a soft serve ice cream cone. It's self serve so you can test your skills at ice cream swirls. The sweet peach tea was good and they have the crunchy ice! Also tried the chicken sandwich. It was good but we liked the tenders more. Fries with seasoning were tasty. Mac and cheese was super creamy. Would definitely visit again!

I grew up in this neighborhood and this place used to be a laundry Matt, an arcade and it was abandoned for years. So When I left the area and came back and saw they put this here I thought let me try it. I moved back and fell in love with this place, the food is good and the people here are dope never had a bad experience with this place. We had lunch here today and it's one of my favorite hot chicken spots in DFW! The medium level rub had a nice heat but an undertone of sweetness which was unexpected but very welcomed surprise! I ordered the three tenders with parm fries for the side. My only complaint is that the side cups could be a bit bigger? Other than that I cannot complain about visiting Luckys Hot Chicken. Hurricane slush is pretty good too nice and boozy. There was a wonderful man there today in charge and boy did he really put the experience over the top. I went today during lunch time 2/9/2026. I had not been here since like 2020. The taste is still amazing. I came here and got the Southern Classic and my wife the Buffalo Chicken Sandwhich with the sauce on the side. I got the seasoned fries as well. My son had the nuggets and ice cream. We all loved our food even the ice cream was great as well. The milkshake was the only thing not great but was worth a try. We live 24 miles away but since we’re in the area we had to come check them out. Lastly, the service was great and the manager was extra friendly and welcoming.

This is a great, new hot chicken place! The lady I ordered my food from seemed a little distracted and didn’t say much. It was like talking to a brick wall. The lady that came by our table to check on us was super friendly and bubbly and she made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our meal. I loved the atmosphere at this place. The walls were decorated with cool news ads and neon signs and cute telephones and a heat-o-meter. Super cute. I ordered the Big Lou sandwich, and I was not disappointed. Service and food there was really good. My daughter has an obsession with another place in the DFW that starts with a “D.” I told her to let’s switch it up and she devoured her whole plate stating she loved this place just as well. It was really good. We will be back again. The only issue was the food was not hot like it just came out the grease. It was like it sat there for a second before it was brought to our table.

Good chicken tenders, 4 heat levels to choose from. Choice of sauces, extra charge for additional sauce. Overall good flavor, batter not too thick. Texas toast a bit too fried and crispy. Fries could have been more crispy. Chicken sandwiches and sliders available too! Restaurant is spacious with a good amount of tables and parking. Combos are a good value, free soft serve ice cream available too.

The chicken is flavorful and the plates come with enough to let you leave feeling satisfied. I wish there were more than 2 restrooms cause it seemed like they were taken every time I tried to use it, also my wife said there wasn’t soap in the one she went into. But on the upside they have self serve frozen yogurt that really helps end the meal.

In town from Houston. Visited here after researching best eats in Dallas. Nice and fun atmosphere. Fresh food from the kitchen and the margaritas were strooonnnng. I'd like to see the drink area cleaner. It was a mess. We did not get fountain drinks. Overall, if you are into hot chicken, give Luck's a try.

I had passed this place multiple time going to work. Finally stopped and tried it. 1st we were welcomed in by Carlos P. We let him know it was our 1st time. He was so helpful with the menu. Very kind and welcoming. Never rushed us to hurry and make any selections. My husband got the wings, I got the 4 tenders with fries and banana pudding, my daughter got a kids meal with chicken nuggets and fries. She also got a ice cream. Everything was good. I would say that they suggest my daughter got were over cooked. She only ate a few and her fries. I really enjoyed the tender basket but I didn't care for the house sauce. I'll just stick to Ranch next time. My husband did like the sauce but wasn't a fan of the mango habanero sauce on the wings. We didn't get wowed by anything we ate but it was a good experience. We will definitely be back and try other items on the menu.. Atmosphere was great. Gives a feel of a old school Diner.

My first time here. It's the real deal!! Chicken is great, fries are perfectly seasoned and inside the store there's a free ice cream machine. Highly recommend, spice is just perfect, hot, without sacrificing on flavor. The diner feel inside the store just makes it a fun place to go and spend time on a hot day.

Lucky’s Hot Chicken was a serene experience, that had the perfect picturesque diner. I had the three tenders, which came out hot and fresh that were delicious. The service was average, but not bad. The atmosphere of the restaurant was peaceful. Although I would try to avoid coming late, because the neighborhood isn’t the nicest, there were many people who seem to be on drugs outside, which I don’t blame the diner, just a precaution.

Old-school charm meets new-school vibes. This spot nails it with their cool design cues and aesthetic touches. The staff were genuinely friendly — they took time to explain the concept, walk through the menu, and even encouraged some customization (always a plus). I went for a customized Classic Smash Burger, paired with Shake Fries and Fresh-Squeezed Lemonade, plus their house honey mustard and Lucky Sauce on the side. I also tried one Chicken Tender with Hot Honey and another dipped in Korean BBQ. Both tenders were delicious — I kinda wish I’d ordered them “Skinny Style,” but either way, they hit the spot 🤤. The smash burger was solid, though maybe not quite worth the hype. The house honey mustard though? 🔥 Absolute standout. The fries were decent (“mid,” if we’re being real), but way better dunked in that honey mustard. And the lemonade — wow — tasted like real homemade lemonade, definitely a step above CFA’s. 🍋

I've been going to this restaurant since it opened a few years ago, and I can confidently say that if you want a delicious hot chicken sandwich, this is the place to go. Their tenders are always crispy and juicy, and they serve some of the best crinkle cut fries around. I highly recommend stopping by for a meal. However, I’m really disappointed with the inconsistency in their pricing. They’ve changed their menu and prices multiple times, and even after a management change the pricing is still changing. Just a few weeks ago, I could get a chicken sandwich with fries and a drink for $13, but now the drink isn’t included, making the meal $16. I understand that prices fluctuate, but this feels excessive. I used to visit weekly, but now I’ll be spacing out my trips. Overall, the food is great and the service is excellent; they just need to get the pricing sorted out.

I decided to try this place after seeing picture of their chicken and waffles but there were no waffles. Not sure if it was just a special/secret item and I didn’t ask because waffles shouldn’t be a secret item at a chicken place. The service was good. The girl at the counter walked me through all the options they did have after she asked if it was my first time there. I ordered the tenders spicy level Lucky AF which is the second to last option. If you enjoy spice this ain’t it. It was more salty than anything and though the chicken was juicy and fried well I couldn’t finish my meal. Maybe I had a bad batch? If I went back I’d just do no spice to avoid the sodium.

Lucky’s Hot Chicken has a great atmosphere and the food presentation is excellent. The restaurant has a cool vibe and clearly puts effort into how everything looks. Unfortunately, the value doesn’t quite match the price. The portion size felt below average for what you pay. The biggest issue was the chicken itself. The chicken in my sandwich was very very rubbery, which is disappointing and hard to overlook at a place that specializes in hot chicken. The onion rings however were on point! Nonetheless this IS a chicken place. No excuses for rubbery chicken. I’m hoping this was just an off day and plan to give it another try next year in 2027.

Those were not Jumbo Tenders, just regular tenders. I will tell you though that it was juicy, and THE SPICIEST I have had. One tender was undercooked. The amount of fries given is very small amount compared to other hot chicken places. The wait was 15 to order even though google said it was not busy, they were slammed in the back with online orders. If you are ordering to go just order ahead it saves you time and I believe they might save time that way as well. Manager I believe came out and he was able help the front then reassured us food was almost out, he did great! Place was spotless, so it’s very clean. If you want value for your money, I can’t say it’s found here. The food tastes good but nothing that stands out. Skip their sauce. Update: if you are into real spicy food this is legit, my pee was burning. I had done the one chip challenge and it’s the same burn that one gives.

I ordered online so cant speak to service or atmosphere. the tenders were very small. I dont think they are actually tenderloins but rather strips of breast. they are well seasoned, but a little dry. The seasoning is very spicy. I liked it, but it is at least one level higher than average. The flavor of the spice is less robust without any profile. it's mostly cayenne. the dippping sauce was good. However, I would not come back. too many better options.

I’m a fan of lucky’s, and love that you’re adding things to the menu. This time I ordered the jalapeño ranch chicken wrap. Great wrap but it’s extremely small on this tray with nothing next to it. For $10.98, this should include a drink. This should not be a $15 meal. If I would have added fries, then it would be a $20 meal. Not ideal for the atmosphere. I get you guys need to make money, but include a drink with all meals. Pics for reference.

I’ve been a frequent of Lucky’s hot chicken for a while now, but the last few times have been extremely disappointing. This most recent time The chicken came out ice cold as though it had been sitting out and they still served it. They forgot about my shake. They did correct this but still. The time before that I ordered a chicken Caesar wrap for the first time and it was the grossest thing I’ve ever tasted. Somehow, it was quite grainy, and mushy. They put so much sauce that it was soggy. And the taste was off. I ended up so grossed out that I threw it away. The time before this, There was a manager who tried to make my ice cream without putting gloves on after touching a trash bag. I had to remind him to put on gloves. He washed his hands But didn’t dry them and put on a glove that got wet from his barely washed hands. He then proceeded to grab the cone with his wet gloves. There obviously needs to be training for food safety here. A few suggestions for head of management- Your night time crew are not consistent with your day time crew! The service changes. The vibes change and it makes it hard to want to come here! I also think folks need to be retrained about food safety and hand washing. The chicken quality seems to shift at night. Somehow, the evenings seem to be a constant issue for us.

The chicken quarter I ordered had an overly thick coating that overpowered the flavor and completely hid the chicken inside. Unfortunately, it was a miss for me. Had hot honey and mango habernero? Food was too salty and had to trash (ordered to go)

I was so excited to try this restaurant, but when i got there they didn't accept cash. While i have plenty of credit and debit cards i don't like being told how i can pay you. Also I feel as though these types of business practices exclude people who are financially less fortunate. How dare you tell me i cannot use legal us currency in your establishment, perhaps you shouldn't profit off of my American dollars.

We decided to give Luckys another try since it’s under new management with more on the menu. What a mistake. There is absolutely no chicken inside of their new wrap. The fried chicken is hard as a rock and fries are loaded with so much seasoning you can’t even eat them. Very disappointing and will definitely not be back. 👎🏻 👎🏻

I tried this place twice before making a review. The first time, I had the leg quarter combo with lucky’s seasoning. The second time I had garlic parm bone-in wings and bbq bone-in wings with cheese fries. The fries were okay. But both times, the chicken was tasteless. I spoke to the guy on the register before ordering and he said that they brine the chicken, fry it, and sprinkle a little salt. I should have walked out then. It tasted like just unseasoned meat. Even the bbq wings tasted like plain like tofu smothered with mediocre sauce. My family also didn’t care for the food and it ended up going into the trash. If you want to brand yourself as a chicken joint, at least do chicken well. I do not recommend this place.

This used to be a good chicken place to eat but after the changes made seems it no longer has standards. It used to be a favorite but today we ordered the lil tenders with fries to go. And the fries were cold. We took them to the front counter and they told me to throw them out. We waited at least 6-7 minutes then had to go back up to them to ask for our replacement fries only to have the manager ( or only person in a black shirt) tell us the fries were not cold. Once we got the next batch they were still cool to the touch indicating no fresh ones were made. It was very disappointing to receive this type of treatment after holding this location to a higher standard because of the past. We were polite and did not make a scene. We will no longer be coming back and we will ensure to advise all our friends and family against stopping by.

I would give zero stars if I could. At 8:30 on 2/15/26 we had the worst experience and customer engagement via Julie the night manager. A combo meal was ordered. Add bacon, no pickles, extra onions. The 1st round it had pickles no bacon no extra onions. I hontonthe counter and have a 5 minute conversation with Julie about what extra onions look like and where the placement is/should be. Ten minutes later, they are remaking the burger. I get it back and it still has pickles and no bacon. My husband takes it back and is told it was done and there was no ticket. How did you make the meal without a ticket? Julie proceeds to talk to my husband about onions when the topic was no pickles and adding bacon. Instead of taking accountability for the error we just jist told " Yea, they didn't read the ticket " and then we just looked at eachother. I asked her to remake the burger completely. At this point its 9:10p and my food has gotten cold and I'm still just waiting for a burger. This was an absolute horrible dining experience. Lucky charges for EVERY little thing. Dipping sauce is .50 cents, a regular drink which is $2 doesn't come with meals . You would think that with the nickle and diming they do, you could at least get your order right. No apologies for the wait or the experience with the staff and the food. It would have been nice if the evening manager Julie would have just said. I'm sorry for that mistake, and take the food back. Instead we had 10-15 minute conversations about onions, esthetics, placement, ticket vs no ticket. Zero stars, do not recommend

Third time trying to give it a try and never will i ever buy from here again. I ordered because I love fried pickles which are good. Im a major wing lover but again very disappointing. The wings again hard over cooked and stingy with the sauce. I always call just to confirm my order and make sure order is secured for delivery hell no of course tied in plastic bag but also 2nd time customer service sucks.

I ordered the Southern Classic chicken sandwich and was really excited to try this place for the first time. Unfortunately, the sandwich was extremely salty—so much so that I couldn’t even finish it. It honestly tasted like I was eating straight salt. I was really disappointed with the experience.
