The best food and the best service 1,000% recommended

So far, I like it. They have a special today so the family meal was half off. Figured it was the best time to try it out since their prices are a bit high. The place was very clean, everything was hot and ready for pick up at the time specified. The staff was nice and friendly, and the food is good. What more can I ask for. Dine in is available, although I put in my order to go. Would definitely go there again when I am in the area. Not too many of them near me, so its a bit out of the way if I want to go again

The chicken was as it's supposed to be at Pollo Campero, golden, crispy and delicious, not all Pollo camperos are the same, but this one you can tell that management wants things done right, will definitely be back to this location.

The flan is the best, yuca fries do not taste frozen, the plantains are super fresh. Mango drink is very tasty. This restaurant replaced my Chick-fil-A. True authentic taste.

Walked in and immediately was greeted, took my order with no problems and the staff was very accommodating. 10/10 recommend!

I loved this restaurant. I go to a Pollo Campero whenever I can. At this one specifically, there's a gentleman that was amazing. He went around and greeted everyone, he was always attentive and would take your plates away when you were done. I wasn't able to get his name but he definitely deserves a raise for all he does. He's was the friendliest worker there.

Great food, friendly service, clean surrounds. I enjoyed the Peruvian empanada, the spicy lemon chicken was great, and if you have a taste for plantains they were very good. The lady behind the counter was a doll-kind and accommodating. Absolutely great introduction to Guatemalan food.

Let me say how wonderful the food is, I love your chicken salads but let me say a word about Francisco. he is wonderful, great customer service and I'm a black person and he always, always gets my order right and I appreciate the extra concern that he has for your company because he's making us happy. This chicken is unlike any other. Had it for lunch Wednesday. Had it AGAIN for dinner Wednesday night. Decided to have it for lunch Thursday! I don't normally eat like this but....this chicken is not friend and it is delicious!!! I can't say enough about the owner. He is there every day checking on his customers. This place is AWESOME. and their prices are very reasonable. Not very many of Pollo Camperos around. Wish there were more.

Well today was the first time I went to this location you know I wanted to try something new. This Pollo Campero was very welcoming and they definitely have a very creative way of cooking their chicken with a Latin twist to it. Both the grilled and fried chicken was very good. The only thing that upsetted me was the fact that I didn't order more of their chicken lol. They also do tacos and many more items. If your looking for fast food with a different style of cooking. Give this place a try you mite be surprised in the good quality and quick service this place offers.

This location has been hands down the best pollo campero I have visited. When I first walked in I was greeting by Julio, who was kind enough to get a booster sit for us. The people who took out order where also very kind. Food was great and service was even better. I want to give Julio a big thanks for making our visit at this location such a good experience. P.s Julio definitely deserves a raise...

The best chicken sandwitch. Period. Chickfila, Popeyes, this is what they all want to be. They actually give you ingredients, its a full meal, no cheaping you on size, sauces, or fixings, and the breading on the chicken keeps it in place so its not sliding off the bun as you eat. Attention to detail and being attune to what people really want out of their chicken sandwitch. Fantastic and the people there are great to top it all off.

Great service, they made a small mistake on one of the sides, and immediately corrected with a complementary side. I recommend their plantains and grilled chicken. Not so much the fries or rice. But it is really GREAT chicken and awesome service.

I’m here for work and stopped in just for a chicken sandwich and fries. Little did i know that i got the best sandwich, with their signature sauce, fries, and some empanadas that were recommended to me. I spent 3 more days eating there and don’t plan on stopping anywhere else during my stay. They make the best food, best prices and best service. I’m gonna miss it when i do go home. 🥺

I went with a group of four. We had roasted and fried chicken with plenty of sides. There was just one piece of chicken and one side left over that was taken home by the guy that paid for all of us. He said it was just $30. The seasoning and sides were great. Oh ya, and 4 drinks too.

The only thing that I don't like about this place is that there are NO trash cans. Yes, the staff cleans the tables after the customer, which is nicer, but if I sneeze into a napkin I DON'T want to hand it to a staff member. 😵‍💫

Been coming here for almost 2 years. Fried chicken is consistently excellent. In past have also tried grilled chicken and empanadas also consistently good. Prices are a little higher than other fast food fried chicken places but its worth the price. Wish more care would be taken to bus tables and keep condiment area clean. Food appeals to diverse population because its simply delicious and always fresh. $5 off coupon given towards next purchase is nice practice just for doing a short service survey.

We enjoyed the food and the fast service. The employees were very friendly. The only problems were the unbussed tables and many tables weren’t wiped down. The men’s and women’s restrooms were very messy. The waste baskets were overflowing with dirty paper towels.

All right so I went there to eat for lunch on a Saturday and it was pretty fast service the food was great the staff was really nice the bathrooms were extremely clean and the food was hot and it was really good enjoyable time to sit down and eat with family and remember those thoughts whenever we were back in Central America and we used to always go to our favorite chicken place which was Pollo Campero so I’m really thankful that there was a location near the hotel that I stayed in it was very very very convenience in fact I just bought 100 pieces of chicken to take back to Tennessee and share with friends so it was really good so I just wanted to say thank you for everything it was really really good the only thing I don’t rate this a five star ⭐️ was because The tortillas were pretty cold therefore I would have to have to take a star out but otherwise it was fantastic

I went Saturday night 11/13/2021 and the service was outstanding but the only thing was that I tried to make a phone order because I wanted it a lot of chicken, but the phone line seems that is not working at all. so please fix that for future references. After all everything went fine.

Food is great. Fried Chicken has a twist to its flavor and it makes it unique. Only thing is the building here is so old, its got water damage the whole dining area needs a facelift. Walls coming down, floors beyond a simple buff, the place needs an upgrade. Highly reccomend the chicken though! Take it to Go!

Unique tasting chicken. Their beans and mac and cheese are good. Fries need improvement and they need to provide salt and pepper. They apparently don’t have pepper at all. Right now if you fill out a survey you get two pieces of free chicken on your next visit. I’ve been using the heck out of that and keep frequenting regularly whenever I’m in the area.

THE CHICKEN IS NOT DRY From the outside, it looks a lot like a Pollo Regio, and fear of more Dee Snider dehydrated chicken kept me from trying it for months. But the chicken is even juicier than KFC. As best I can describe, this is like healthier KFC with a Mexican "fresh grill influence. Same family meal and side styles as well as chicken sandwiches and bowls. Only negative is their drink game is weak. Minimal soda choices, slow replenishment on horchata, no sweet tea in Texas.

I lived in Guatemala for a couple years and ran into this restaurant there a little over a decade. Apparently they've made it far from home now. Now for the food itself: the horchata is more authentic than the majority of other Latino restaurants. Yuca could replace the potato if more people actually knew about it (aka delicious). Fried sweet plantaín is absolutely divine. I don't even like bananas but holy cow this is straight candy. Salty plantain chips are dumb when this is even an options. The trouble is that I have yet to find someone who feels as passionately about this as I do. Complaining: They were always expensive there but wow they are just that much more money here. Nuggies for over a buck a piece?! To be fair, Chick-Fil-A does the same thing but there's a reason I whine about them too haha. I suppose I'm too much of a tight wad for my own good. Rant continued: Something I find absolutely hilarious is that they serve a Mexican hot sauce with the food here ... Anyone who knows anything about Chapines (Guatemalans) would know that most of them aren't exactly fond of their neighbor there and that the majority don't use spicy stuff on their food. To be fair, here in Texas, the majority of the customers do so it's understandable that they adapt. When I finished eating, I couldn't find the trash can.

First if you don’t speak Spanish don’t come here. They are very pushy and rude when ordering. We felt super rushed to order and decided to just leave and go to another chicken spot

The food was good. At least tasted good. But shortly after, I got sick to my stomach. It didn't agree with me. And it was really hot in there.

I hadn't been before. I really enjoyed the Latin sides which were different than any other fast food I had been to. My chicken sandwich was a little on the small side. Otherwise, the food tasted good. There just wasn't anything memorable for me.

I'll be honest, it's not the cheapest chicken place. You are going to spend money. We got a 20 piece meal with 4 sides for $45. Yikes. We normally go to KFC and get a 14 piece with 2 sides for a little over $20 (dark meat of course). I will say though, the chicken itself is very flavorful and crispy. It has good spices. The rice is a bit bland and the mash potatoes lack a lot flavored en with the gravy. The beans are kind of like chili but with a kick of spice. I'd been wanting to try it for a while and finally did. I notice they never have deals or specials either. All in all, flavorful chicken, that to me, is a bit pricey.

I’ ordered the bowl., grilled chicken was dry… and a little flavorless. There were lots of flies in the restaurant which I feel the restaurant should do something to prevent this. The beverage station was a little dirty. Overall food flavors are average to me.. This is my second time ordering grill chicken and it always comes out dry.

Pollo Campero has a few standout items, but my recent visit left me with mixed feelings. The spicy chicken sandwich was decent. It was different from the usual soda options and made the meal feel more interesting. I’d definitely order the drink again on its own. Service was quick and friendly, and the restaurant was clean. Prices were fair for what you get, but the overall flavor experience didn’t fully match the hype. If you’re nearby, the drink is worth trying, and the sandwich is good for a quick bite. But I wouldn’t go out of my way for it.

Today was a BAD experience, but it was STILL edible 😩😋 They’re normally good thou, but they DIDNT have their signature Campero sauce & this thee VERY 1st time my plantains were dry 😔 NO kind of glaze, over cooked. In the pic, it shows 2 empanadas, but I had 3. I COULDNT wait! I hit it soon as they gave it to me, lol! They’re ALWAYS DELICIOUS, EXCEPT for when they’re out. I went once & that happened. I STILL recommend them! Try their original chicken, DELICIOUSNESS 😋😋😋

What happened here!! This was our favorite drive thru stop coming thru this side of Dallas.. No spicy empanadas...got rid of the Chipotle sauce for a ranch or bbq option but the menu doesn't reflect any change...they tell you at the window after sitting in line awhile. Regular empanada still had good flavor 😞 won't be coming back here again.

Ordered a fried chicken sandwich combo, the wait was long, not only was my order wrong I recieved grilled chicken the ends was like beef jerky! It was so dry and chewy something a puppy would really enjoy. I really enjoyed the fried chicken before the pandemic I went often but this is my third visit to this location this year and it hasn't gone well. Pity😕

What happened to the beans? I drive through every Friday and get the 12 or 20 family meal to go with 2 beans and 1 rice. The bean recipe is different, and not in a good way. I’ll try one more time, if the beans aren’t back to the original recipe, I won’t be back. Disappointed.

This was my first time, and I did not like it at all. The beans are horrible the grilled chicken, taste horrible, and the fried chicken was decent, but I will never come back. So do the trash it goes.

Rarely do I give 2 stars. Fire the manager at this location & transfer the manager from your Farmers Branch (Josey) location to get this store back on track. This place served me chicken cooked in old grease. How dare you serve customers this horrible chicken that was look warm instead of hot, flavorful, & fresh. I literally threw the entire box in the trash. So disappointing

I am a HUGE campero fan (only this location) and I’ve gotten people to frequent this location a lot but I was disappointed when I bit into my empanada. I’m not sure when the recipe changed or why it did but change it back! I don’t like these, bring the spicy empanadas back 😂 I haven’t ordered empanadas in a long while, so maybe I’m late on the change. Anyway, the empanadas were the only reason for 2 stars on the food, the chicken is always delicious.

It's no longer a Guatemalan menu. I was very disappointed that it's like any other Tex-Mex chicken place. No black beans; charro beans instead. Mexican machine-made tortillas. No chiltepe hot sauce but Cholula sauce at every table. No cream on the plantains. SAD 😟 Never again.

My boyfriend and I went there yesterday afternoon thru the drivethru. The girl at the window had absolutely no manners. When I was putting my card in my purse before grabbing my drinks, she said "here". Like she was in a rush. And now, my boyfriend has food poisoning from the chicken sandwich he ate. We're at the doctor's office now.

The service and food use to be great. Right now is a mess. They have things up on the menu that they no longer make. When they sale you drinks they don't yell you that if you want a speciality drink is extra, it use to be the same price. The bathroom is super dirty and could use a LOT of TLC. The main area floor is missing tile and just not appropriate for public service. So sad, we won't come back.

This was the worst place I've ever ordered from. Very small pieces. They asked if i wanted a roll or tortillas. i said tortillas got roll. The picture shows a regular salad for coleslaw. I hate coleslaw. Way to expensive for very small portions. The chicken was burnt and didn't take like nothing, no flavor. I wouldn't spend my money again to eat her ever!

Bad service all the way around… from customer service to Dirty spoons . I asked for a clean one and they just wipe it down and try to give it back…. I said NO please wash it and give me a clean one .. it took about 5-7 minutes before I got one clean… please be careful with this place…

Went here last night with the hubs The chicken is good don't get me wrong but it was SOOOOO greasy as if they fried twice. I didn't eat all the fried stuff but my husband did and an hour later he started feeling sick. Stomach pain. Sweating diarrhea and constant vomiting 🤮 he was vomiting all the chicken. I am 10000% he GOT FOOD POISONING he had all symptoms. I don't think I'll ever go back First time here and will be the last

Came to today at campero in Crocker hill and I asked for a campero bowl been getting this for years mind you , but lady in the drive thru stated the campero bowl has been discontinued but I checked campero menu online and it stills shows it I don’t know if they didn’t want to make it but I am very disappointed I’ve never heard of the campero bowl being a temporary item on the menu .

Never will I come back. I figured this restaurant having a latin name, they would have latin food. This has more American food than latin. The beans taste nasty. Like canned chili beans. Be sure to check your order before you leave. With the idea, that I’d spent over $60. That they should had gotten my order right without me needing to check. I was wrong. Ordered 20 piece family meal of half fried/grilled to treat a family visiting. I live over 20 miles from this location. Not only was I given all fried, but I was missing an order of sides, tortillas, plates, and utensils as per request. I made my complaint via survey. Waiting for response. Haven’t called the store directly.
