I got the breakfast bowl- and it was amazing! We visited for brunch and although the weather outside was cold, we also got to see a cat as we finished ordering. He gets fed by the place, so she is taken care of. The bowls short ribs were amazing, only one piece had a little fat, and it came with 3 eggs (!) not just two like I expected. The combo of peppers and potatoes and everything was amazing. Definitely will be visiting again.
Our new favorite Mexican food place ATM, super nice and cozy environment, very nice and friendly staff, and very organized in all aspects. The food is very authentic with nice variety. We eat at Cocina Hermanas 2-3 times a month, and never disappointed!
Here's the revised review: --- ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ **Fantastic Vegan Options and Exceptional Service!** Cocina Hermanas in Danville is an absolute gem! We tried the Spicy Cauliflower and Veggie Trio Tacos, both of which were bursting with incredible flavors. But what truly stood out was their willingness to accommodate dietary preferences. While Vegan Enchiladas aren’t on the menu, the staff kindly made them vegan when I asked. They turned out absolutely delicious, with bold and savory flavors that didn’t feel like an afterthought. It's rare to find a place that offers such fantastic vegan-friendly dishes and is so flexible and accommodating. Highly recommend Cocina Hermanas—don’t hesitate to ask for vegan options; they’ll exceed your expectations!
Excellent service and atmosphere! This place is a gem in Danville. The food is delicious and the presentation is top-notch. The ceviche was some of the best I've ever had. The fried bananas with churros and ice cream are a must, very authentic! The dining area is spacious with plenty of room for large parties. The servers and staff are extremely friendly. It's fairly priced compared to other restaurants in the area. I definitely recommend it and hope to return soon.
This is the best Mexican food that I have experience this year. Chef Arturo Ponce and his amazing staff gave my wife the best birthday bunch that we could ever ask for. The guacamole was super fresh. The shrimp ceveche was amazing and the churros tasted just like the ones you by in México. The food is absolutely beautiful delicious and filling without making you you feel heavy. You really need to give the hidden treasure a chance!
This visit was for an office party, so limited photos and description of what all we ordered. They were too numerous to recount. But right from the Chips, Gaucomole , Salsa and all lunch items we ordered were freshly prepared, with all fresh ingredients and prepared very well. Special shoutout to our wait and serving staff who were so accommodating and friendly as we had surprise guests which took us much more than the reservations that we had . Well worth the price and great value received. And very fun place to party in large groups!
In one word - awesome ! especially for families. great amd authentic mexican food. Qe loved the "hermanas trio" taco as well as the fajita and of course - the guacamole. Clearly syitable for filea with kids.

The ambience was really pretty! I got the three tacos, with carne asada, carnitas, and Al pastor! Lowkey, I only liked the carne asada but I think I just ordered wrong because I didn’t even know what Al pastor or carnitas was made of. But the carne asada was fire. The rice and beans on the side were kinda dry. But the service was super good!
We've been here several times and the food and service have been good. The wait staffs have been attentive and checked on us quite often. They have a good variety of dishes to select from and special menu when we were there most recently. Outdoor seating is available and highly recommended on a nice day.
Loved the food, Loved the ambiance - found plenty of parking for a Saturday afternoon. They did not have Happy Hour Menu, that helped to choose from plentiful options. There is a public parking nearby + open parking down the street. Food was amazing , Enchilladas could have been better. Tacos vegetarian on request.
Nice place to grab a bite. Cool ambiance with a nice mix with wood and brick. Menu has a good variety of options. Food was tasty. Chips were fresh and salsa was a good consistency and had a nice flavor. Staff were friendly.
Great location with outdoor seating. They have an assortment of tacos plus a number of dinner plates. We tried a variety and all were tasty. My only ding (and it's substantial if you like to sip on a drink with your meal): The margaritas (house) were $12...and were delivered in a small glass filled with ice.
Service was top class. They are all super quick, polite and on top of everything. Well done! As far as the food it is good but not great the sauce salsa and the corn was excellent. I had the burrito with Birria which was great meat and overall a solid burrito but nothing to wow you. Do not recommend Tostadas de Atun fresco (Ahi Tuna) as the tuna is not good quality
Visited with two friends for dinner, we were seated quickly for our reservation and the the staff was attentive through out the meal. Ordered the margarita pitcher but thought it was a little heavy on the mix. Food was good. Pozole serving size was good size and came with cilantro, chopped onions, limes and a spicy chili paste on the side. Also had the carne asada taco with lettuce cups instead of tortilla.

Got there towards the end of dinner service, but they seated my gf and I no problem. Service was great for the most part, although they didn't ask if I wanted another drink, which I chalked up to the bar being closed, but not sure. I ordered the crab and shrimp flautas which were pretty tasty and my gf ordered the shrimp tacos which she said were also delicious. For drinks I ordered the Wa-Hawk-An Viego, kind of like an old fashioned, it was pretty well made. Only complaint were the churros. We were looking forward to them too, but they didn't quite hit the mark. Again, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt since we were the last people seated. Overall a good place for food and drinks.
I enjoyed my overall experience when visiting this place. Their only fault was the hostess with dark hair and neck tattoo. She was very rude and ignored me when I tried to check in. At first I assumed she was just busy so she couldn't acknowledge me, but then I saw how she treated everyone else. That's when I felt uncomfortable. After being seated our experience was wonderful. The waitress and the gentlemen bringing out the drinks were so kind and welcoming. The food was way better than I expected. I didn't come here expecting authentic Mexican food I came here because the food looked interesting. However I was surprised at the authentic flavors that were thrown in the mix. I'm not a fan of chicharon but after trying it here I became one. The drinks were pricey but very tasty and strong. The area and the restaurant itself is beautiful.

Meh, I would not go again. The food was not seasoned well, even the salsa needed salt. We wiped our starters clean before the waitress even looked at us to order our mains. We were sat right in front of a part of the restaurant where they were assorting plates, and we would be startled by the sound “almost falling” plates
This place has a great ambiance and the staff is super polite and courteous. The food however did not meet expectations. We ordered Sopes, Vegetarian jackfruit tacos, corn, grilled corn, guacamole and fajita bowl. We also got seasonal agua fresca (which was strawberry), fresa bella and one more for drinks, which were all ok. The Sopes were terribly bland and pasty.

This place has unfortunately gone downhill. We drove out of the way to go here because we fell in love with their al pastor tacos, but unfortunately they no longer serve that menu item. I ordered a pina colada, they were out of that and a whole list of other things that were still on their menu. We ordered guacamole for an appetizer, and verified the order, it did not come out until we asked about it 20 minutes later. Service was extremely slow and inattentive, and the restaurant was not busy. We also had to go find our server to pay our bill because no one ever came back to our table when we were finished eating.
After a 30 minute wait for my “to go” order and really looking forward to my snack / this is what I get ? Huge disappointment! And manager was going to have her manager call ..I’m still waiting

WORST MEXICAN FOOD EXPERIENCE I’VE EVER HAD Chips and salsa were the only good part of the meal. I ordered a carne asada plate — a very common dish at any Mexican restaurant — and I was shocked at how bad it was. The beans had absolutely no flavor, the steak was oily, and it smelled strongly of propane or some kind of gas. The rice was just okay, and I didn’t even bother trying the grilled onions. Right after eating, I felt sick. My stomach hurt, my body felt swollen, and I ended up throwing up. The next day I had severe diarrhea and felt awful all weekend. It was a terrible experience, and the smelly carne asada was definitely the cause. I’ve had much better food at any regular taqueria. This place is all decoration and zero flavor. Really disappointed.
