The Growler is a lively local hangout known for its great beer selection, friendly staff (especially Rachel and Elvira), and upscale pub food. Popular dishes include the Reuben, burgers, and sweet potato fries. Some find the tater tots overpriced.

Tip: The Reuben is highly recommended. Also, be aware they use peanut butter.

A lively, friendly place with great burgers & good service. I enjoyed their grilled chicken breast pesto sandwich with avocado & sweet potato fries!
Stopped through for a light beer and a Philly cheesesteak. Good prices. Nice outdoor area. Enjoyed the food. Elvira delivered attentive and quality service. I highly recommend and will be back.

This place is really good! It’s a family friendly, quick service, good food and good beer 🍻
The beer selection is great and the food is amazing upscale pub food. Try the homemade tots!! The staff is personable and down to earth. Don’t come here expecting fine dining and then leave a nasty comment. The Growler is a wonderful local hangout with great food and a casual atmosphere. It’s perfection.
Great food, ultra awesome and friendly staff, and good beer selection. I would definitely come back for the Reuben, one of the better ones on the 680 corridor.
Service was fast and friendly, smash burger was very juicy and plenty of flavor. There red ale was smooth.
The Father’s Day special rib plate is goooood! They smoke the ribs in house and serve them with a ridiculously good and creamy potato salad, corn bread, and corn on the cob. The ribs were seasoned perfectly; complimented the pork and the smoke. (The nearby bbq joint doesn’t do them flavorful like these). Day and a half left to eat them all up from this posting, I might go for seconds 😜
Rachel is the best! Wonderful service. My beet salad was fantastic, and the sweet potato fries! 👍 👍 👍 My dance partner Sliders were delicious, and he is picky.
They have a wide selection of beers, some of which are German, and their food is pretty good too. The scotch egg was innovative. I got the Diablo burger and my partner got the Reuben. My burger was pretty good, but the Reuben was a class above. Highly recommend. The best part was the service. Our waitress was very honest with recommendations and reviews from other customers and seemed to genuinely want feedback to take back to the kitchen. It was refreshing, never seen it this good before.
Went to the Growler today for lunch for the 1st time. Great service & good food - I had their prime rib french dip sandwich & fries w/The Ghost Town dark beer on tap. Which was stupid good, by the way! Not bitter by any means like some darks & stouts can be. It had such a big chocolate & roasted coffee taste & was very smooth. My BFF's aunt had a half California Eggs Benedict (just one egg) & their homestyle fries. Both with my regular fries & her homestyle ones you could totally tell they're using fresh cut potatoes. Best part, it's totally w/in walking distance from my BFF's new apartment! Definitely going back. 👍🏻
Scotch Eggs are back on the menu! Hip hip hooray! (Not every day though so check first) A friendly, clean and welcoming restaurant with great food. Highly recommended!

This place has really stepped it up with their updated design - the place feels warm and welcoming from the moment you walk in, and the staff makes sure you feel right at home. A special shout out to Racheal H. for her outstanding service: attentive, detail-oriented, and full of energy that truly elevates the experience. The homemade sausage platter (2 pcs) is a standout - the fact that the sausages are smoked on site really comes through in unique flavor. The wings were also tasty and enjoyable, though at $20.50 for 10 pieces they felt a bit on the pricey side. Beer selection is excellent with plenty to choose from. I especially enjoyed the blonde - rich, flavorful, and a perfect match to the food. A homemade 12,5% stout was another something to try. Just go for 5 oz. Overall, a great spot with friendly vibes, quality food, and a stellar team behind the bar and tables.
The beers are good but food could be better. I had the laughing monk 9th gospel which was very good. But be careful at 10% ABV.
The Growler is one of those restaurants/pubs where after 2 or 3 visits, you can become a regular and recognized face. My local friend introduced me to The Growler, and it's become a great go-to place to catch up with their friendly and approachable staff, hang out with friends, share poetry, write down inspirations, watch the game, and share a good laugh. When it comes to their food, my go-to is the pretzel bites, but the Caesar salad is also delicious and comes with the options of salmon, chicken, or tri-tip steak. The tri-tip was nicely cooked. Non-alcoholic drinks are primarily the virgin margarita, virgin white, and their tart cosnopolitan that my friend enjoys. I also enjoy their "NOT YOUR KIDS PINK LEMONADE" (boozy), and sitting in their back room for seclusion. I hope that The Growler's positive vibes last for years to come!
It was a good dinner with happy hour wings and beers. From the regular menu, I chose the pineapple burger and my husband got the bacon, avocado sandwich.
Personally, I think brunch is still good, with high cost performance and good taste. I will come again.
Very nice and relax restaurant and bar for a lunch meal. I was looking for a fish and chips place and it didn't disappoint me. Ruben sandwich is also very tasty. Seems like a good place for a beer as well, I ordered one and it was also very good.

At our table, we had the fish tacos with sweet potato fries (good for a light lunch), Cubano midnight sandwich, and the classic burger. All of it was very tasty. Service was good. They checked on us several times and refilled drinks. The restaurant/bar is comfortable, and has multiple tvs to watch your favorite sports.

Food is great BUT $7.50 for 8 tater tots is wild. I get things are expensive but they are really overpriced.

They have a poetry workshop the 2nd Wednesday of every month 6:30pm to 9pm
The only good thing about this place is the service. The food is mediocre at best! We spent $90 for four of us. Overpriced! My cheeseburger was not worth $13. We walked inside and it smelled bad! They also use peanut butter so we had to sit outside. It was a beautiful day so that was fine. Our table was not very clean though. We will not be returning!!
