Ian and Daniel are amazing and the 💣servers!!! They were on top of their game and treated my boys just as they did my husband and I. Food was cooked to perfection! When I mean perfection, I ordered over-easy eggs and it’s always a gamble… these eggs were perfect in every sense of the word. Not once, but twice! … so was their sausage and potatoes! They must have someone doing quality control because I never saw a dish come out that looked less than excellent. They also have a very fun and creative twist on their pancake lineup! Servings are large so be mindful when ordering for your kiddos. The place looked clean, fresh and trendy! This is another place where I feel the star ⭐️ ratings should be higher. We ate here twice and both days our dishes looked like they belonged in magazines!

Spent the day exploring Detroit at the DIA and decided to finally check out the Hudson Café after seeing it featured in a news report. The food looked amazing on TV—and it did not disappoint in person! The atmosphere was lively and welcoming, the wait staff was attentive and friendly, and everything we ordered was delicious. We enjoyed a few brunch cocktails alongside a very satisfying lunch. There are so many tempting options on the menu that I know we’ll be back soon to try more. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a great brunch or lunch spot in the city!

I’ve had this restaurant on my list for over a year now and I was finally able to visit. I got the French toast and my girlfriend got the crêpe. The service was great, but the food was out of this world! I’ve had great French toast, but never this good. The crêpe was divine. We will definitely return!

Gebo's Garage

Finally we discovered a breakfast place downtown that has reasonable prices, good food, and excellent waitstaff. Mario was our server and provided us with much appreciated menu advice. 😋 We enjoyed our experience. I recommend the Brunch Burger, or Pancakes, or Crepes.

New here to Detroit and found this trendy little breakfast spot. We've been a few times and really liked the service and the food. I personally have jumped around on the menu trying different dishes but the other day I stepped out on a ledge and tried the bacon jam omelet. SOLD!!! Double backed two days later to have it once again. So, it's an omelet with brie, bacon prosciutto and bacon jam. I can't give this dish enough praise. The way the ingredients blend together is incredible. And the gooeyness of the brie...chef's kiss. Stop in and give em a try. Pro tip: sit at the bar. Usually no wait and the service is very, very good! Looking forward to trying the next best thing there. Oh yeah, they make their own strawberry jam in house which is also to die for.

Absolutely amazing place! The hudson Cafe is a great place in downtown Detroit, serving all kinds of brunch foods. First off, my waiter Mario was amazing! He provided quick service and was super nice. The food was amazing. I got a banana Nutella crepe, which was delicious. The fresh squeezed orange juice was great, too. The atmosphere is very cool, with plenty of good decor. Highly recommended for a nice breakfast or brunch in Detroit!

We had never been here before but on a suggestion we stopped here because we had some time in Detroit. I eat gluten free which is always a task to find somewhere that has it and where it is decent but BABY! My French toast was so good I forgot I had turkey sausage. I asked our amazing server Mario H. his opinion of the 2 gf options I seen and he said to go with that (which disclaimer he said he had never had it before) but had very logical reasons why he'd chose it over the pancakes. So I'm torn about raving over our food or Mario, who was very attentive. Our lemonade never got empty without another coming. Mario was awesome! I drive for food, even though that's not why we were in Detroit this time, it definitely can be on the next go round.

I’m just making a quick review on my service when I contacted the restaurant. The gentleman Tom was so informative. Very thorough and polite. I appreciate it very much. Great customer service goes a very long way. This will be my first time attending this restaurant. That alone made me want to go even more. I will post after I check it out in a few hours. Thank you Tom. ***Update*** My waiter was Phillip,he was awesome!! The food was great and service was as well. I had a reservation but was seated immediately. Everything was clean. The food was fresh and I was very pleased. I will definitely return. Thank you Phillip.

This place is a must have! While it was a little busy, the wait was only 10-15 minutes. Their menu is very extensive with everything from your classic eggs and toast to crepes and pancakes. The strawberry nutella crepes were very good and fresh. Service was fast and our waitress was very nice. They also have gluten free, vegan and vegetarian options!

We were there on Dec 17th after the WSU graduation. There was a guy helping out the hostess (probably a manager) that was repeatedly rude to our party. We had to wait for an hour for a table, which was fine (the food is worth it), but this guy rudely bossed us around and told us to stand and wait in different places. Working in food service can be stressful, but a little politeness isn’t that difficult. I didn’t see a name tag on him, but he was a middle aged guy with long hair and a beard. FYI - The Monte Cristo was excellent.

Food was phenomenal, especially the breakfast pancakes and French toast options! Rather loud inside, but understandable because of the amount of people inside. However, our waitress seemed a little “uninterested” in serving us. Not sure if it pertained to us or maybe she was just having a bad day. But, hopefully, we’ll experience better when we try again.

I had the Throwback Crepe. It was good. Everything was fresh. Just wanted a little bit more flavor, but overall it’s decent for those who like safer flavoring. The Toffee Coffee was yummy—could have had a bigger cup for that.

We were in town for the weekend and decided to give this spot a try. Very pleased!! There was a little bit of a wait but we expected that since it was a Sunday afternoon. The place was bustling and busy. We enjoyed the Mexican omelet, fruit bowl and cinnamon raisin toast and also the Triple Triple omelet, cheesy grits and cinnabunn pancakes. Everything was absolutely delicious! The orange juice was heavenly. Portions very generous as you can see. Julius was our server and he was awesome. Only ding I have for the place is the coffee could have been just a little stronger but it's ok.

Food was excellent. Generous portions and a variety to choose from. The wait is quiet long though so I recommend making reservations. We got there around 10am, they told us it'd be a 30 minute wait. An hour afterwards I went into to check how much longer it would be, I was 3 on the list by this point but they offered us seating at the bar which we ended up taking since we were extremely hungry. Service was quick once we ordered.

We came here for a birthday celebration and the experience was extremely disappointing from start to finish. • Even after clearly stating we had a party of 6, including two disabled guests, we were crammed into a four-top. Meanwhile, smaller parties with no reservation were seated at larger, more comfortable tables. • The food was overpriced and under-seasoned and definitely did not match the hype. • The most alarming issue: we were served RAW fried chicken. Not slightly undercooked—raw in the middle, which is a serious health and safety concern. • Despite the poor service and lack of accommodation, a large party gratuity was automatically added to our bill. This was supposed to be a joyful celebration, and instead we left uncomfortable, disappointed, and concerned. There are too many great restaurants in Detroit for this level of service and food quality. I hope management takes these issues seriously.
