I had such a great experience at LaGuardia Airport thanks to the amazing service from a blonde server with short hair, I wish I had caught her name! She was incredibly friendly, helpful, and made us feel so welcome. The food was also delicious, and she went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. It’s not every day you get this kind of service at an airport. Thank you for making our visit a pleasant one ,you’re a star! 🌟
I must have lucked out because the food and service were both top notch. I had the meatball sub (I ordered without cheese, so don't judge that in the picture) and salad and it was lovely. The bread was fresh and had a good crust without being a risk to the roof of my mouth. The meatballs were tender and well seasoned and did not appear to be from a bag. The sauce was reported to be scratch made and I believe it. Lastly, the salad was very fresh, dressing nicely balanced, and the tomatoes were perfectly sweet. My bartender was friendly, attentive, gave good advice, and was never pushy or abrasive. He was also quintessentially a New Yorker in the best possible way.
Very clean and social distanced following all COVID-19 safety protocols was good to see. Hospitable staff seems to enjoy being at work. Hospitality is not loss here. Spent $50 for a meal so be warned it’s the convenience you’re paying for.
The food was OK but the service was good. They don’t have a vegan menu except the Caesar salad and margarita Pizza. So I had gone with the margarita pizza and Caesar salad and a coffee of course.
We were welcomed by a very nice lady that brought us water. Then she ended up bringing our food to us our waiter took our order and put it in wrong and she brought it out and took the right order. Brought us our food out again. Then we continued to never see our waiter again till he sat down in front of the cooks and was eating. He was in glasses. She was doing everything answering questions, serving, cleaning, and ect. She was amazing our waiter was not!
I saw the bad reviews so went with a really simple Chicken Caesar Salad. It came out quick, was pretty good overall, and the chicken was well cooked. It ended up being over $30 with tip but what can ya do at the airport. I wouldn’t suggest getting pizza - the way I see it realistically how quickly can you make a good pizza?
The place was clean and accommodating. the staff were helpful. A 10% covid fee will be added to your meal total. When ordering in the app, there should be a place for notes. I wanted crispy bacon (and would have noted that) and although the description says crispy, it wasn't and I had to send it back for them to cook it more. I told the bartender in advance to let the cook know, but that didn't work. The finished product was cooked perfectly but I really don't like how the description said cheddar cheese and they stuck 2 slices of American cheese on the $8 breakfast sandwich. If they'd used cheddar this would have been 4 stars.
Flatiron Tavern and Provisions in Terminal C at LaGuardia airport has a service model difficult to swallow. If you are not comfortable ordering from your phone, including typing in all your credit card information, skip this and eat somewhere else. But don’t bother going across the hall to the bagel focused restaurant, because they use a parallel system. System exclusively uses QR code for menu and ordering. System requires providing a tip at the front end. Only benefit here is payment made without having to wait after eating. Music distractingly loud. Service was acceptable but impersonal. Food ok for airport fare.
Ate at rossi pizzeria which this is what comes up when you Google map it so wanted everyone to be aware Super expensive. Worst bloody Mary I have ever had. Tasted metallic. Pizza was just meh. Price on a Google map should be $$$$$$. At least $80 for a pizza two bloody Marys and a tomato appetizer. Won't be stopping between flights again
I just wanted a quick salad with some protein before my flight. I don't expect gourmet cuisine and I do expect to pay a lot but this was just bad. The lettuce was limp, the salad was underdressed, there were very few toppings and worst of all, the steak was awful. Overcooked (I asked for medium), tough and underseasoned. It was a lunch of regret.
The service here is extremely lousy and I’m wondering why there are even servers at all, it would’ve probably been a more pleasant experience if this restaurant just used the robot waiters. To start off I was greeted by the host who didn’t even make eye contact with me and was too busy looking down at their iPad. The host which was also my server charged me for the the meal beforehand (which is fine I have done this at other restaurants before) but they automatically included a tip for themselves without telling me. Then when my food was delivered they not once came to check on me, did not refill my empty glass of water, did not ask if I needed anything. I had to grab napkins from nearby tables and use them because they couldn’t even offer an extra napkin for me. I had to literally flag down the server who was busy talking with others to ask for a straw. The servers had no problem going to the tables around me but couldn’t do the bare minimum and check on me, and it was barely busy. If you’re already going to include a tip for yourself the least you could do is check-in on your patron that already paid. I paid $40 for a mid steak sandwich and lousy service, but yet I’m more disappointed in the service and the price I paid for it.
Quite possibly the worst meal I have ate in my 50 years. Overpriced and very low quality food. Fast food style you order on your phone. Staff is rude and food is far from fresh or any kind of quality. It should be noted there are no refills on drinks, you must purchase another drink, but good luck getting g a drink, the ENTIRE staff will be busy on their phones, as documented by this picture. Eat anywhere else, other than here.
This place is a massive let down, it's overly expensive and the food is mid at best. If I'm paying $20 for burger and fries,I expect the fries to be fresh but they were not. They were sitting under a heat lamp for such a long time the fries were dry and mushy at the same time. The people here are friendly and the service is great. I wish this was a shake shack rather than some over priced "grill". Avoid it if you can. I'd eat elsewhere next time I come.
place doesn’t take cash and that’s annoying, even more annoying that the iPads on the tables that take so much space are just for you to scan a QR code and order from your phone. Just laminate some paper with the QR code and stick it to the table? Super extra and seems stupidly irresponsible financially to buy all these iPads you can’t use for them to be just displaying a QR code. Also I got charged twice, I saw in the reviews that’s been a common issue, that’s actually absurd that it’s an issue that’s never been resolved. Food is decent. I got the chicken sandwich. Overpriced for sure. Not great, would’ve preferred if there was a McDonald’s, not that bad tho but I still would’ve preferred if there was a McDonald’s. The waitress Yennifer is overbearing when seating customers. I tried to sit at a table for 4, it was not busy (7pm like come on) and there were 2 other single person parties sitting at those tables. She went back and forth with me and I finally got to sit. Mid bite of my food she interrupts me to move my jacket because someone “MIGHT” want to sit there. Like I’m already trying to eat this food in peace before my flight. Again it wasn’t busy. Also she deliberately skipped my table when she went around to check on other customers and offer them water. So service is trash.
Scorched omelette that came without cheese in it. The only cheese they had was Parmesan that I got on the side, after asking why it didn’t have cheese in it. Check came to just over $30 (with the $5 cold toast I got on the side. I will never eat here again. Ever. I hope I can save someone else from a bad experience.
