Went on a Saturday night about 8:30 and it wasn't too busy. Our waitress was Jordan who provided EXCELLENT customer service. Had the Onion rings, pork buns, and chicken wings and chicken sliders. ALL of the dishes were great. I must say the wings are incredible the way they are prepared. The pork buns were delicious. The pork is crispy and the buns are really soft and fresh. The atmosphere is really chill and all of the staff were really cool. Bonchon will easily become a regular stop for my family.

This is my 2nd time back and the reason for coming back was the buffalo wings. This place has one of the best spiced wings in Elk Grove. Since it was happy hour I also ordered a plate of chicken and a plate of beef sliders. Both are also very good although I prefer the beef more. Well if you like wings, you gotta give this place a try!

Our Delicious Lunch Adventure at Bonchon We were in Elk Grove visiting family for lunch and decided to try something new. Bonchon came up as a good option. When we got there, the place was hopping, and there was a line for takeout! I viewed that as a good omen! Bonchon is located in the Laguna Gateway Center and has a big sign that can't be missed. Inside is a counter with more than half a dozen chairs and plenty of tables from which the customers can choose. The dining area's look and feel are trendy and seem to attract younger clients. The menu offers starters, main dishes, sides, soup, salads, and drinks. However, their fried chicken seems to have a special place and is very popular with clients. We ordered a few smaller plates to taste as many items as possible! The Shrimp Shumai was good. Pork Potstickers were even better, and their French Fries were just right, but the Korean Tacos were excellent! The young lady serving our table was very personable and good at her job. We were happy with the service and enjoyed our meals. If you wonder what we thought of the Korean Fried Chicken, I won't keep you waiting! It was delicious. We tried two different variations with different sauces and enjoyed it all! As for drinks, we were not in the mood, so we skipped the drinks, but we will certainly try a couple next time we visit.

Good food. Some variety in the menu items. "Korean donuts" are just churros lol The Buldak wasn't super spicy (medium level after waitress recommendation) and the mozzarella in it was thick. The tacos were bomb though!

Pork buns are so good! We got both flavors of wings but preferred the spicy ones over the soy garlic. And we had the japchae an added extra beef and it was bomb! Pics speak volumes.

It's a nice place to feel that Korean taste of chicken. Thankful that Bonchon Chicken opened here in Elk Grove. I always go back for the Salmon Avocado Ball and the Seasoned Fries! The place is clean and have plenty of parking spaces around. They have enough seats to accommodate hungry families. They put on live games for viewing and make it the cherry on top of your meal. They're closed on Tuesdays.

Everything was better before, not so great now. Chicken has changed, very HARD, even HARD to chew. The rice I got was super hard and dry. I had to ask for different rice. When I said something about the chicken, then she said oh we changed the chicken." Now we bread it in-house. A lot has changed since the last time I was there, but I probably won't be going back.

UPDATE: To the management’s reply below, you need to dig into your employee’s integrity. I did not ask to change the flavor to yangnyeom, your system has my record under my phone number that I never order yangnyeom as a regular. Your staff made the spicy order wrong to yangnyeom, and I asked them to correct it to spicy. If you want to continue down this path, I have receipt and you have security camera footage. BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU ARE ORDERING TAKEOUT. I have been a long time bonchon customer on various locations, today I ordered 30 wings with half spicy and half soy garlic as a takeout When the order came out, I see that the spicy flavor portion is mistakenly made as Yangnyeom flavor, so they took the order back and say to “remake” the order for the spicy. I took the remake order home, and as we are eating the spicy wings, it clearly doesn’t taste like spicy as it has a yangnyeom sweet flavor in it. It was like a mixture of yangnyeom and spicy. So did they REALLY REMAKE the order or just take the old one back and swap some spicy sauce on it, I will leave you to be the judge of it.

On 12/16/25 my husband and I came to the establishment as they were closing. They had just turned off the light and as the person was still in the window shook their vigorously saying no. That's fine we returned to the car to look for something else as I noticed the employees now 3 at the window pointing and laughing at my husband and my despair. Not only did we leave hungry we left humiliated as well. That is not a good look for any place of service. Just poor behavior and no service. We will not be returning

The food is excellent every time I visit, but the greeter/ cashier, KODY, is so unpleasant and rude when asked questions about the food. Always point to the tip portion first before you pay your food bill, which is offensive to a great tipper like me. I’ll use DoorDash from now on to avoid the rude cashier. Too bad he brings such an unpleasant atmosphere to a great establishment.
