If you're looking for fresh, fair-priced, quick, and tasty Gyro's or "Greek Food" this place is the best in San Diego. Yes it's a chain, but a chain that has done everything right, and in my opinion the best place for great and quick Mediterranean food in San Diego. Oh and kids eat free on weekends! Plenty of parking, food is served quickly, staff is friendly, setting is airy and open, outside seating, plenty of tables even for large groups, and a good bottled beer selection. I like the wraps, of course with extra yogurt sauce on the side. If you're looking for more protein I would go with the plate, but the wrap is plenty filling.

DELICIOUS!!! Y'all, get the grilled saffron chicken! I ain't kidding, it's so moist and flavorful... so delicious that I ate WAYYY past my stomach's full point! I loaded it up with their OG Yogurt and the cilantro sauce... delicious. Great job, guys!

So...my love of falafel is pretty well known amongst my family so when I was in Encinitas and was recommended "The Kebab Shop" I figured I'd give it a go. And daaaaaammmnn am I glad I did! It was one of the best falafel wraps and fries I have had. Every element was impeccable - the pickled onions, the hummus, the herbaceous falafel, the flaky wrap, the veggies, & THE SAUCES (highly highly recommend the garlic yogurt sauce and the spicy cilantro sauce). I also really loved the "build your own" design of the menu, you had a selection of proteins(chicken doner, lamb doner, beef meatballs, grilled chicken, or falafel), side options (like hummus, saffron rice, fries, Greek salad), sauces, & meal styles (wrap, plate, or box). And just a FYI, the wraps are HUGE, like the length of my forearm- I should have split it with my husband. Also, don't sleep on the "crave fries"- those crispy fries paired with salty feta, creamy garlic sauce, & pickled onions is the perfect flavor combo, just absolutely divine. Make me want to cry that I don't have this restaurant in my state.

This food is DELISH! for a local CA chain, it’s super flavorful and very customizable so it’s great for picky eaters. The main thing about this place though? top notch delicious sauces that add a bomb boost of flavor. Highly recommend checking out (and they have a San Jose location which i also visited and it’s just as great)!

I was looking for a unique place to eat that wasn't the usual chain store and found this place to try. Very good Mediterranean food with great variety. I got a Lamb & Beef gyro bowl about $20 with ALL the fixings and it was made fresh, it's a big portion and delicious. Definitely recommend and will be back next time I'm in the area.

She's professional, attentive, and always makes sure everything is done right. You can tell she truly cares about the customers and the overall experience. The service is always top-tier when she's there. Highly recommend! Carlos at The Kabob Shop is awesome aswell! He's always friendly, welcoming, and quick to help. He makes ordering simple and makes sure everything comes out just right. You can tell he cares about doing a good job, and it really shows in the great service he provides. Carlos was incredibly helpful and patient. There was some confusion with my order, and he took the time to calmly explain what I had ordered and walk me through it without making me feel uncomfortable. He handled the situation with so much kindness and professionalism, and even went above and beyond by generously amending my meal. The food here is amazing, and Carlos truly made the experience even better.

If you like dry meat and rice that tastes like it’s been soaked in toilet bowl cleaner, this is your spot! Don’t expect them to give you any sauce either. Worst kebabs ever..
