I've been curious to try so I stopped in tonight by myself. Food & Service was fantastic! I will definitely be back!
Love coming here. Each bowl is priced around $14-$15. Each bowl is full of healthy ingredients; when you eat the whole thing, you feel great and not too full, but still satisfied that you had a whole meal. It's outrageous to see the Shake Shack down the road full of people, but this place is mostly empty. You can either sit in the restaurant and eat, or take a bowl to go. Tonight I sat in, ate a bowl, felt great, and got a bowl to go for lunch tomorrow. This place is 100% worth the money. Support this business.
We’ve dined in and did take out here. The owner is super friendly and accommodating. The place is nice and clean. Food is yummy. Great price. We have been stopping here each time we drive through Syracuse. Love it!
Served by a smile and the food speaks for itself, victor and ling made my day. You should try this place if you haven’t and you will go back. Unless you’re crazy and have bad taste
Food is consistently good fresh and I came 2 days in a row for the Tonkatsu ramen and boba tea. Option to add chili sauce to the ramen to add heat. They have fresh vegetables including bok choi. The also have Hong Kong style roti with sauce, it's a little oily but delicious and comes with a really good peanut sauce. It could use some interior decorating for more ambiance. The woman and man that run the establishment really know what they're doing.
Super unassuming but a gem of a restaurant. Although ambiance a little lacking, food made up for it. Staff was super attentive/accommodating. Got house black garlic ramen, chicken bun, and pork bun. Ramen was superb. Great complex flavor in broth with tender meat. I was pleasantly surprised when it came out with saffron on top. Chicken bun were an order again- tons of meat and great fry on the meat. Pork buns were not as successful, not bad just not as good as the ramen/chicken bun.
Food was great, certianly not the best noodles Ive ever had but surprisingly great! The bubble tea was also excellent, and the consensus of the group I was with was the same. Everyone seemed very pleased with the food and the prices were reasonable (about the same as fast food but definately tastier) service was a little slow and there were a few communication problems. The only thing that let it down was the atmosphere, again not awful but just a little lacking. Things were just a bit unclean feeling and a little worn but it wasnt off putting. All in all I would reccommend especially for take out, a way better option than fast food!
This is such a cute restaurant. Extremely clean, organized, and welcoming inside. The employees are very kind and patient. There is a large variety of food to try from sushi burritos, to poke bowls (you fill out a little card with all the options/toppings, found at the register), to pork buns, ramen and more. The drinks are also great! Not too sweet, but not plain either and there are several options to add more sugar or boba pearls to your liking. If you don’t like boba or tea they also have delicious smoothies! Prices are fair. I will be returning!
Very yummy ramen! Though our favorite was the gyoza and the strawberry milkshakes (which were not heavy at all). Ramen was flavorful. The spicy tokatsu ramen isn't horrible heat and has a great flavor. The meats (chicken and pork in our case) were cooked perfectly and not fatty (for pork). Presentation was beautiful on a wooden platter. Highly recommend! Only downside I wish they were in a better location but nothing to complain about just hard to get to (on one way street, kind of busy area). Very clean and organized.
My husband and I were headed up to Syracuse to visit my stepson at LeMoyne and scouted out restaurants before we arrived. Mitsuba Ramen Noodle came up with great reviews and we're always looking for good ramen. The food and the service were excellent! We got pork buns for the table...so yummy and the cucumber added perfect complementary flavor and texture to the meat. My husband and stepson got Tonkotsu Ramen w/Black Garlic Oil and I got the Sapporo Miso Ramen. The ramen were all delicious but I think my Miso broth stole the show. The eggs in the ramen soaked up so much flavor from the oils and broths and were a real highlight. They were out of Rose Milk Tea 😕 but the Coconut Milk Tea was good and they added a lot of tapioca pearls which was a bonus for me. The guys both had Passion Fruit Tea and it had great flavor too. Overall an awesome lunch and bonus that it is a mile and a half from the college...walking distance!
This place has great food at great prices. The poke bowl was fantastic with great options especially if you make your own. We will definitely be back. Right next door is Labcow tea shop so you can get a drink to pair with your meal. The place wasn't busy in between lunch and dinner either
Food was nicely priced and delicious. There steam buns with pork are worth something to try and come at a great cheap price! The spicy ramen is delicious and has some really tasty broth and toppings. This is a great place for a great, cheap and very fast sit down meal. The staff was very nice and the place was very clean!
Mitsuba Ramen Noodle, and it was a delightful experience. The ramen was incredibly flavorful, with the broth being rich and comforting. I tried the tonkotsu ramen, and the pork was tender, melting in my mouth with each bite. The noodles had the perfect texture—soft yet firm. The atmosphere was cozy, and the staff was attentive and friendly. The only downside was that the portion size was a bit small for the price, but the quality of the food made up for it. Definitely recommend it for anyone craving authentic, tasty ramen.
Hungry? Like Asian cousin? Price is right with variety. Owner operator. Booths fit 4. I am stuck on Wontons & Spring Rolls. (Duck or Sweet & Sour Sauce)
I first went to Mitsuba because I was craving poke bowl I got from NYC. The customized bowl is filling and affordable ($13 before tax). The bubble tea is also good. I didn’t like the ramen, broth was a bit bland for me. I haven’t tried other foods. I’ve always been able to pick up in a reasonable time minus that one time I think they had $200 order before me. That one took them 30 mins to get to my order, but I don’t blame them. Good business is steadily busy. Will try other foods if I feel adventurous enough. Edited: name of the restaurant
Ordered at counter and waited for about 10 minutes for the pager to go off to pickup the food at counter. Overall everything looked good and the taste was decent. The chicken ramen had a generous portion of tender chicken. The tonkatsu ramen had 2 pieces of pork belly. Not the most tender. Also ordered the KFC. This was decent as well. May have benefited from a little more vegetable in it. Chicken was generous size for the $5.95 price. Only real complaint was the Bubble tea. It didn't come with pearls and was not sweet enough. Other items on the menu included sushi burrito and make your own poke. We didn't try those so no comment.
The KFC steamed bun was delicious and we will definitely order again. The beef ramen was very tasty and the meat was so tender. The pork belly steamed bun was delicious and well seasoned but the pork belly wasn't tender all the way through so we had to cut it and pull.it apart before we could eat it. Only a minor critique otherwise we will definitely back.
Mitsuba is a Japanese Ramen Noodle restaurant with two locations in New York. They offer noodle bowls, poke bowls and bubble teas. Their atmosphere is very nice, inviting and modern. Service is counter service and they give you a buzzer to pick up your food at the counter when it's ready and you put your dishes in a bin near the entrance when you're finished if you eat inside. Service was fine at the counter and they actually brought our food to us at our table without having to get it ourselves so that was nice. The food was good but I was having a issue with the flavor with most things which was a bit disappointing. Overall, I would recommend you to try this place once to see if it's your jam but not something I would be rushing to tell my friends about. My wife and I shared the Gyoza and I got the Tonkotsu Ramen and she got the Pho. We also had the Strawberry boba drink and Thai tea to try. My Tonkotsu Ramen had, Pork ramen broth, chasu (roasted pork belly), kikurage, eggs, green onion, and menma (bamboo). This was good but it had a flavor that was very off putting to me. I've had a decent amount of Tonkotsu Ramen in my day but nothing that tasted like this. Honestly, I'm not sure what could have made it taste like this and I'm giving them the benefit of doubt considering I may not be cultured enough to know what I was tasting but with my American palate, the broth tasted like toilet water. And it smelled like it too. Idk what they put into it but I was having a hard time enjoying it because it just tasted and smelled weird. Maybe it was the seasonings? Broth? The water they use? Idk. I was not impressed. The noodles, pork and toppings were delicious but something about the broth was not okay. My wife's pho was good. They only sell it as one size and it was a good enough portion for the price and it met our expectations when it came to pho for the most part but it was the broth that we weren't impressed with yet again. It was lacking depth of flavor with beef and tasted a bit watered down. Good pho should have a deep, rich beef flavor as the broth but seeing as though this place is more ramen focused, it seems as though the pho was an afterthought. Our gyoza was good and had good flavor as well as the dipping sauce it came with but it must have been made before our main entree was prepared because it arrived to our table lukewarm and wasn't super hot and the crispy side was soft. They were tasty but were not fresh from the pan and seemed as though they were sitting around before everything else was ready. We also got miso soup. That was the best thing here in my opinion. Loved the miso soup. My Thai tea was delicious and how Thai tea should be but my wife's strawberry drink was also weird to me. She enjoyed it but when I tasted it, it tasted like strawberry soap. Again, giving them the benefit of the doubt here but the flavor profile for me was just off and not appealing whatsoever. Glad I didn't order it because I would have returned it.. Overall, this may be the place for you if you don't have a weird palate like me but I've tried a lot of similar flavors that we've tasted here at other restaurants and no place has tasted like the flavors that we've had here. Either other places are accommodating to American palates or something is definitely wrong here. I would recommend to try just to do so but I wouldn't come back honestly. Good Ramen touches the soul, warms you up inside, and makes you happy. Mitsuba Ramen gets close, but it does miss the mark. The noodle are great, but the most important broth leaves much to be desired. The chicken ramen broth is very mild. Also, the ramen is not served piping hot. The toppings are just ok. A little more effort and they can serve a much better bowl. However, this is just as good a bowl of Ramen as you can find in Syracuse.
This review is based on food. Service was average but take out. The ramen bowl was glorified overpriced chicken noodle soup with a bunch of mystery seafood looking things. I didn’t risk eating for fear of food born illness. The chicken that I tested was somehow an amazingly chewy undigestible consistency that I’ve only ever experienced by trying to microwave frozen chicken. I chewed and chewed this meat like bubble gum. But, chicken is not chewing gum and this quality is something other than quality. I’m now Crossing my fingers for the next twelve hours hoping I don’t get sick. A gross waste of money.
I recently visited Mitsuba Ramen in Syracuse with a friend and had a disappointing experience. We ordered Tokyo Shoyu Ramen, the noodles felt undercooked, affecting the overall taste and texture. Unfortunately, after we got home, both of us experienced severe stomach pain and digestive issues, which makes me question the food quality and hygiene standards. The ambiance was decent, and the service was okay, but the food quality really needs improvement. I hope the restaurant takes food safety more seriously to prevent similar experiences for other customers. Would not recommend based on this visit.
