Ideal location on the beach front. Lovely choice of food from menu and reasonable price

We have had two lovely lunches here. The service has been delightful, the food has been delicious and the setting is great. We have visited here before, a few years ago, things have changed since then but it was so good to be back. We will definately visit again. Very happy customers. 😁

We have eaten here numerous times whilst staying at our holiday home nearby. We have always had great service (so i'm not sure about the other reviews here?) and we love the food and location! Ok its not the cheapest, but you pay for what you get and the view is stunning. Will be back as soon as they re-open for the season!

It's right on beach. Bottle of really good wine and paella for 2 €50. The owner is really nice regardless of what others say. We go every year several times and love it. I hope it never changes. We used to go all the time. Pealla had nothing in it...spot the clams!!! A shame as could be better. If changed hands to someone else... could be a goldmine !!!

This is our restaurant of choice each year. They have recovered from Covid with a new modernised building, but still the same amazing setting by the sea. The food is still excellent with a good choice of fish dishes as well as meat and salads. The service is professional and friendly It is a key part of our holiday experience

This place must have the best view in the whole of the Costa del sol. On a good day not only can you see Gibraltar but right along the North African coast. Новые владельцы сделали большую работу — сейчас здесь приятно всё: обслуживание (вежливо и быстро), еда (вкусно и аккуратно подано), атмосфера (уютно, спокойно, по-настоящему “на берегу моря”). Три года назад у меня был негативный опыт, но сейчас — совершенно другой уровень. Спасибо команде за старание, вы реально идёте в правильном направлении. Пусть у вас всё получится!

Por fin han abierto el local renovado y muy agradable ,dado que por esta zona no hay nada más para tomar algo, se agradece encontrar aquí un sitio apetecible y con bonitas vistas al mar .Creo que ya no tiene el nombre antiguo y son otros los propietarios . Espero que tengan mucha suerte por que se ve que han dedicado tiempo a mejorarlo con mimo . La atención fue muy amable ,creo que por parte de la propiedad . Stumbled on the La Vela Azul when out on a long beach walk, this is a clean quality restaurant, initially I was only going to have a water and a coffee (coffee was very good) The menu looked really good so I ordered the Bream with vedg the Bream was very good, prices are slightly high but you need to expect that from a beautiful beach front location. Fish was great as was the service would come again Beautiful beach and as you can see quite quiet at this time of the year.

Nach Renovierung wieder auf. Ja, die Bedienung ist etwas wortkarg, aber das Essen ist lecker. Guter Wein und Aussicht. Für einen Aperitif sehr gut geeignet.

Having seen the mixed reviews on service I can only think this bar has changed hands in the last year and would say the service was more laid back but certainly not rude. There are few sun loungers and umbrellas out the front €5 or free if you eat there, they are not top quality but do the job. We spent a few hours with some drinks before moving to the outside seated area for food just before 5pm, the owner came over and asked if we wanted food as the kitchen shut 5-6.30pm so his staff could have a break and eat, whilst I found this a little strange he was more than happy to take the order. The food was great as was the wine. A nice place to spend a relaxing couple of hours.

It's not nearly as bad as some of the reviews I read, but it could be better, with only a small amount of effort in being customer-centric. Food was OK but a bit overpriced. Location was great.

No customers when we arrived at 5pm today, welcome was like warm and I wondered if she was disappointed we had turned up so she had to work, all the tables on the beach area were dirty and had not been cleaned. When she came to clean it, it was just a wipe here and there no spray cleaner. Toilets were disgusting. Nice position on beach or I would have given it less.

Maten vad bra och stället fint. Men vi fick vänta väldigt länge på att få beställa. När det väl var vår tur behövde vi be om att få drickmenyn. Inga glas serverades till vattnet när det väl serverades. Maten väntade vi på i nästan över 1 h och det var endast 3 ”vanliga” rätter. Empanadorna vi beställde skulle vara två, vi fick en och behövde säga till och behövde vänta ytterligare 20 min. Beställde hamburgare och fick in fel, även där behövde vi vänta ytterliga 20 min. Under hela middagen behövde vi jaga personalens uppmärksamhet för att kunna beställa ytterligare dryck. Varje gång verkade personalen besvärad.Det var en i personalen som sprang runt och försökte göra allt medan de andra inte var speciellt intresserade. El sitio es precioso pero son muy antipáticos, caros y no te ponen tapa con la bebida.

Udsigt og omgivelser er perfekte. Meget roligt og afslappende. Vi startede med at bestille tappas som var fremragende...friskt, billigt og hjemmelavet. Derefter havde vi bestilt tre hovedretter. En gang entrecote, en lamme chops og en fiske tallerken. Generelt havde kødet fået for meget og fisken var tør. Tilbehøret var også kedeligt. Vi bestilte husets hvidvin og rødvin som smagte fint til prisen Ca 11€ pr. flaske Tappas kostede 10€ pr portion Til gengæld var hovedretterne alt for dyre 20-22€ Betjeningen var ikke den bedste desværre. Der blev ikke gjort det store for at vi skulle føle os velkommene. Mange små sære regler om det ene og det andet. Vi kunne blandt andet Ikke få lov til at sidde ude når vi skulle spise, det var kun til hvis man skulle have noget at drikke. Da vi ville dreje vores bord en kvart omgang så alle kunne se havet, kom ejeren anstigende og med meget få ord gjorde han opmærksom på at det måtte vi ikke. Hmmm Ejer og betjening virkede trætte/stressede og smilede ikke meget. De talte ikke ret godt engelsk. Hvis man skal spise på restauranten senere, så er liggestolene gratis. Man skal betale for dem selvom man køber drikkelse hele dagen. Underligt Men sådan var det en masse små underlige regler som ikke gav mening. Christoffer

Ziet eruit als een flitsende tent. Maar eigenaars staan beide in de tent en keuken te roken en zitten constant op de telefoon. Geen icetea, warme jus dorange, zelf om ijs gevraagd, geen lasagne. Duurt vrij lang voor het eten komt. Weinig interessant eten, vrij flets. Voor ons zeker geen tweede keer

Amazing venue in an amazing location with beautiful views of the Med, unfortunately the service is so bad it spoils what should be a great experience. Waited 30 mins for drinks, 1 hour for food and then the order was wrong, had to have the bill changed 3 times as it was also wrong, total nightmare really.

Location is great - view is great from the restaurant - food is ok - but the service is extremely bad. Also toilets had some issues and the smell from the pipes was all over the restaurant. Avoid the whole place to get the owner/manager changed.

Beautiful spot with very mean and unpolite service. Wherever I go for a drink the only thing I ask for is a simple smile, a good afternoon and some kindness service. The owner was mean and rude

No service at all!!! Avoid. We tried to have drinks and the plane simple answer was no. That at 8pm!!! With 10 or more tables empty. The grumpy owner works as waiter as well and barely says hello!!!

The old place was overpriced, the food portions were very small and poor quality, the owner was the rudest person I ever came across. Hopefully the new place is a vast improvement when it ever opens. We will just have to wait and see!

Ich würde auch 0 Sterne geben wenn wir könnten. Unhöflicher Service, wollten uns nicht bedienen. Trotz angemessener gehobener Garderobe würde wohl eher darauf geschaut dass wir ein Homosexuelles Paar waren. Auf einmal konnte keiner Spanisch, Englisch oder Deutsch. Der Besitzer hat seine Kellnerin angewiesen uns nicht zu bedienen und sprach angeblich nur Französisch. Es gab angeblich keine Karte. Wir sind dann abgezogen und haben unser Geld wo anders gelassen. Echt nicht zu empfehlen!!!

We bestelden prawncocktail maar na enige tijd was dit blijkbaar toch niet mogelijk daar begon het al mee. Vervolgens kregen we rauw vlees wat we weer terug hebben gestuurd wanneer het in de magnetron werd opgewarmd. Helemaal geen groentes en ook de frites was voor 1 persoon vergeten. De laatste persoon kreeg zijn eten pas nadat wij alles op hadden! Echt 1 ster is nog 1 ster teveel. VRESELIJK SLECHT WEG BLIJVEN

My family and I, for many years stay at the marriot playa andaluza.. And for many years have came to this 'restaurant' and have been quite satisfied in the past with the food.. The service has never been 100% but this year it has been absolutely appalling and because of this i will never be returning. To start off we sat for about 10 minutes with only 3 out of the 6 of us having menu's, after asking if we could have some more menu's, we waited another 5 minutes, in the end i got them myself. Are ordered was taken, no problems. Are drinks came which we ordered and the coke which three of us had seemed to be flat, which was odd considering it was bottled, we did not complain about this. When the starters came ( only two of us who had starters ) myself and other family memebers asked for bread for the table.. We was presented with one mini roll for one and was slammed down on the table.. Which is just rude and bad service, no one checked if everything was okay with our starters or anything else i can get you etc, or if we would like any other drinks, not attentive what so ever. We then asked for some chips to come with our mains as a side order, this came with the starters, cold and still frozen in the middle, i sent these back saying these were frozen and asked them to come with our mains, which they did not do and brought them over again, hot this time but not when we wanted them. We sent them back again. Two of the mains came, but our starters was still on the table, we then Waited a long time for the other mains to arrive, the sea bass was very small, with no meat on it hardly.. We then told the owner/manager who was just rude about this. Very over priced for the quality we got, which was awful. The owner then carried on to be rude. After our mains we paid and left as soon as we finished are drinks. If you want good for and attentive service, do not go to this 'restaurant' there are plenty of other great restruants close to the marriott such as the robin hood, chile and the solera restaurant in the marriott itself. I could carry on and complain further but why bother as he does clearly not care about his establishment anymore, as when we said we come here for many years and good food he replied with 'no more' Very dissappinted, if i could give minus stars i would:-) AVOID AT ANY MEANS NECESSARY

Hoop dat de tent afbrand…. Zeer onvriendelijke eigenaar. Kwam ons niet helpen terwijl andere wel bediend werden. Eigenaar zat hele tijd te kleppen met anderen. Toen we de eigenaar hier netjes op aanspraken zei hij dat we maar beter ergens anders naartoe konden. Ga hier niet eten! (Want je krijgt toch niks) Want er zijn 100x betere restaurantjes in de buurt.

The worst experience possible! We are from India and went there (while staying at Marriott next door) for a drink this evening and the owner was a racist pig! He gave a better service to all the other (white!) people and literally asked us to leave. While my wife joined me to complain, he almost pushed her! All this happened in front of our 8year old son and 2year daughter!

De pena, un calor horrendo el hombre que nos atendió realmente desagradable, no vale para dar la cara al público. Ni siquiera sacan unos cacahuetes con la cerveza y les falta tirartela a la cara. No tienen aire acondicionado, la mesa no la limpian hasta que no te sientas y para colmo se coló un pajarillo y allí no había nadie. La cocina abierta que podía haberse metido el pajarillo. Por la tarde da el sol en toda la cristalera y el calor es infernal. En resumen, para cocerte vivo de calor vale. Si quieres algo medio decente ya hay que irse a San Pedro o hacía Cancelada, el Salduba Beach está mil veces mejor concebido.

Desastroso! Un restaurante muy bonito, pero un servicio nefasto. La fritura estaba pasada y el dueño no usaba ni mascarilla y se puso a fumar en el local con clientes cenando. No lo recomiendo y nunca volveremos.

De pena, un calor horrendo el hombre que nos atendió realmente desagradable, no vale para dar la cara al público. Ni siquiera sacan unos cacahuetes con la cerveza y les falta tirartela a la cara. No tienen aire acondicionado, la mesa no la limpian hasta que no te sientas y para colmo se coló un pajarillo y allí no había nadie. La cocina abierta que podía haberse metido el pajarillo. Por la tarde da el sol en toda la cristalera y el calor es infernal. En resumen, para cocerte vivo de calor vale. Si quieres algo medio decente ya hay que irse a San Pedro o hacía Cancelada, el Salduba Beach está mil veces mejor concebido.
