Service is always fantastic. Cookies are always delicious. Personal favorite is the molasses cookie--top notch. Love that they serve lunch and a wonderful dinner with interesting pizza options--among others. Their green-living choices are also very appreciated!
My wife and I had a great time at this Cafe and we loved the food. We took little baked goods and coffee to go and it was all delicious! We would highly recommend this Cafe for anytime of the day.
Everyone said great things about this place so we finally went. I had the best steak dinner ever. Argentinian steak with red potato mash and asparagus; just the right amount of butter and seasonings on all. My son had the Cuban sandwich and says we have to go back again soon. We both want to try the curry next.
I loved the outdoor patio. Chai was tasty. I ate something I believe they called a monkey bun, with turmeric and ginger, SO GOOD. The only thing remotely negative I could say is that the items in the cases aren't labeled and with a line behind me it felt awkward to ask what each thing was. Will be back for sure.
Always a favorite destination in Eureka! Staff is amazing: Attentive, friendly and accommodating. Excellent beer/wine selections, not to mention coffees/espressos. Food... YUM. I love to sit outdoors and enjoy warm sunshine while noshing and sipping on a local brew.
Delicious! Great customer service, amazing pastries and coffee. I go here for all of my wife's and family's birthday cakes. Check it out if you've never been Ramones has locations in Arcata and Mckinleyville too.
Wonderful food, both sweet and savory pastries, darn good coffee and beers on tap for afternoon/evening. Staff keeps people moving efficiently even during high traffic times. It can get a bit busy at lunch hour but well worth it.
I have now officially become a “regular!” My morning go to of the classic breakfast is perfect before work! They have the option to call in, pay over the phone, and even do curbside pickup! All of the workers are very helpful and kind and make your experience so much more enjoyable! With patio seating still open you can still have coffee in the mornings and read a book. They have been very cautious about everyone wearing masks and have always been proactive in sanitizing and cleaning. The best place to go for alternative options as well (gluten free/ dairy free)!
Amazing custom order cheesecakes! their 3" cheese cake is super tall and only $7 the mocha is my favorite. I also adore their mousee cups. My favorite drink is White chocolate banana oatmilk mocha.
Delicious gluten free pizza, a few gluten free bakery options, great service!
Beautiful cafe and bakery with delicious food and baked goods. The chocolate mousse was sold out at this location too but we had a great cinnamon roll, chocolate croissant with good chocolate (that's rare these days!), french toast, and a scramble. The hot chocolate and latte were great as well. With very nice and helpful staff.
Love this place. Really nice atmosphere (I prefer the patio cuz it can get a bit loud inside). Pastries are out of this world. The old world sourdough slaps. Highly recommend.
Holly and her catering staff provided delicious, authentic Greek cuisine for our son’s graduation party. Our friends and family thoroughly enjoyed all of the fresh, flavorful dishes. As a Greek woman who usually spends days preparing food for parties, I was thrilled to hand over the reigns and was delighted with their service. Thank you Holly and Ramone’s crew!
Ordered a cake over the phone, Was ready when they said it would be, Cake came out exactly how we wanted and looked very nice, Nova and staff were very helpful
Turned out pretty good, though they were busy. We were pretty slow to order for 4 people and a mom who likes to talk (also has Alzheimer's and recent TIA's) and held up the line so I feel like they were getting irritated. Hope we have an even better experience next time!
Smartly spacious with a lodge chic edge to it with an amazingly helpful staff. Izzy and Rune helped me better understand the menu as a vegan and continue to accommodate my orders perfectly every time! Will be a returning customer as long as I live here.
The pear salad special was amazing add chicken to it 😋
Absolutely love this place for studying. Great coffee, great food and wonderful friendly staff. My only complaint would be that the kitchen door is so squeaky and constantly opening that it's hard to focus. Please oil your door! It's annoying patrons!
Went to pick up a cake at the lastminute, a decent selection still available and I learnt that not everything is on display, so should always ask! Strawberry chocolate cake was delicious, and not sickeningly sweet, all the Ramone’s cakes have been awesome.
Definitely a MUST. The pastries(huge selection) are amazing, and the cakes, though i haven't had the pleasure of trying yet, look absolutely stunning. The atmosphere is nice and definitely attracts an eclectic, trendy crowd. Can't wait to go back. Definitely try it!
Great gluten-free options. I had a yummy pizza and a GF chocolate almond cookie. I bought a second cookie while waiting for my pizza, it was that good. Priced as you would expect for a stylish, quaint, cafe which serves fresh craft food.
Excellent little bistro, it gets really busy around lunch hour so come early or later. My in-laws rave about the dinners here & I can vouch for the breakfast burrito and sandwiches. The coffee is top notch. Their outdoor seating space is excellent but doesn’t get the best signal from their Wi-Fi. Overall 10/10, one of my go-to places.
A simple statement that says everything: better than Starbucks!
There are 2 Ramones In Eureka. One in the hardware store and one in a residential area. The residential one is really great. The pastries and espresso drinks were delicious and they have a large patio out back.
I just love Ramones! They have delectable pastries and other mouth watering treats. Great Coffee too😊 Staff is always friendly and kind.
The food is always amazing...I was a little bummed the menu changed and my steak salad was no longer on there that I loved but I found something just as wonderful! Thanks again guys!
They have fantastic drinks and their food is fresh and amazing! The employees are very friendly and respectful! I ordered a gluten free cake for my birthday! Gluten free cake is difficult to get quite right. It was amazing!!! Everyone at my party loved it too!!!!
Such a good place to get a coffee, delicious pastries or just chill by the window and read. The atmosphere is super inviting. The staff is friendly and very attentive. I got their avocado baguette...it was very nourishing and mouthwatering.
Best key lime tart I’ve ever had.
This review is specifically for their cake department. I decided to go with Ramones for my daughter's 10th birthday and just want to share that it was a great experience. My daughter got to speak with the manager and pick out the cake she wanted, price was very reasonable especially for the quality you get. Thank you to the chefs and for manager Christina for helping us out!
Barista was willing to remake the drink Thank you so much great customer service will come back here over and over !!
WIDE variety of cakes and goodies! I ordered my birthday cake here for a destination party: Marble cake with Mexican chocolate filling, Italian vanilla buttercream, and dark chocolate ganache dripped on top. A winner with my guests! I would not put fresh wildflowers on my cake again, however. It sounded nice when ordering, but the reality of having to pluck them out of the hardened ganache didn't pan out so well. We will be back - maybe for the pink champagne cake!
Breakfast was great! We also got a variety of pastries to take with us, all were fantastic! Will definitely stop here next time we are in Eureka.
This place was amazing!! The baklava was absolutely delicious and the mexican hot chocolate was to die for, I was very sad when I finished it, tried a few of the other pastries and they were equally as great. Will definitely visit again the next time I'm there!! The staff was super friendly and all the decor and ambiance just makes you want to curl up with a book and drink coffee and eat pastries all day lol.
The team @ramonesbakery is the sweetest. Curry soup and toasted chibatta bread, then desserts and coffee, all under twenty bucks. Seriously the most accomodating employees. My favorite location due to the wide food selection (they have a kitchen. dinner service started at 4:30 today, Friday). Among Humboldt's finest service venues. Very friendly, well paid, down-to-earth employees. Support local, green business. Best, custom cakes. Lots of outdoor/indoor seating, a couch, bulletin board, bar counter (cider, local beer on tap). Something for everyone. No judgement zone, very friendly. Thanks to all the people who keep Ramone's working.
Their Chili Verde is really good, I always order it for breakfast. It comes with a really spicy roasted Serrano, beware. If you order it with the potatoes, this meal will be very satisfying. My wife loves their eggs Benedict, but she always substitute the ham for spinach. Their ready to go sandwiches with turkey and pesto are very tasty and fresh. Their croissants are ok. Their coffee is not too strong. Given that this location is near a hospital, it can get pretty busy sometimes, perhaps calling in your order might help if you are in a rush. Prices are very reasonable. Parking can be difficult. Unfortunately, they try to support local “artists” and their walls always have really mediocre attempts. Read the prices is you want to laugh a little.
I work from home, but Ramone's is essentially my second office! One of the best cafes in Eureka to get some work done, eat great food, and sip delicious coffee.
Very relaxed atmosphere. Excellently service. The variety of food is fantastic. Good drinks.
The three cheese lemon pizza was phenomenal. I could not be happier with my choice. It was nice to see a few vegetarian options.
Purchased a tasting box of cakes for my upcoming wedding. They were ready on time, packaged adorably with a hand written note, and presented with utmost care and finesse. Very happy with my purchase and definitely reccommend for others looking to buy a cake for their upcoming event.
Above and beyond. My daughter’s birthday balloon came off the string. The staff said, “The balloon needs to come down sometime.” Then got a ladder and took it down. Thank you Ramones!
Quality food, fresh ingredients… one of Eureka’s best restaurants hands down. The sweet potato fries with the chipotle aoli is a must try! So good!
Had an hr lunch and decided to check this spot out. It’s very cute, has a patio as well to enjoy your coffee and pastries. Ordered the CBA - Grilled chicken breast, bacon, and avocado served on a rustic ciabatta bun with red onion marmalade, mayonnaise, provolone, and arugula. It was perfection. I also added some sweet potato fries. I’m usually not one to enjoy sweet potato, but this was cooked to perfection. It took a while to get the food (lunch rush), but it was well worth it.
We stopped in for breakfast and had the Primavera scramble—it was excellent! The toast with raspberry jam was absolutely phenomenal, one of the highlights of the meal. The coffee was rich and very good, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. Overall, great food, great vibe, and a wonderful breakfast stop all around. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Eureka!
My husband and I were lucky enough to discover Ramone’s for our destination wedding in the Redwoods. They were so wonderful to work with and accommodating with my gluten intolerance for one of the cake layers. Not only was our cake beautiful, but it was also delicious! Everyone devoured it! So very pleased! We also stopped at Ramone’s for coffee and it was wonderful! We loved the covered patio!
We ordered the dessert bar and a cheesecake for our wedding and it was all wonderful!! They were able to coordinate very easily with my florist too. I do wish we would have ordered a bit more than what was recommended for our party size, but overall it was not a huge deal. We continue to visit Ramone's frequently for any occasion and call in orders are a breeze! Highly recommend!!
This was my first time eating anything g other than dessert, and it didn't disappoint! It was quite busy on a Sunday around brunch time, so we had finished our coffee by the time our food was ready. I think they may have been a bit understaffed. The food was great, though, and the atmosphere pleasant for chatting while we waited. Enjoyed the local art and the people watching. Absolutely recommend the desserts, though, all of them.
The bagels are really tasty but a little on the small side for the price in my opinion. The service and the atmosphere is good though.
I frequently eat there. The food is very good usually. The breakfast options are very good. Pastries excellent. If you order a cake, you get mostly frosting though the decorations are topnotch.
Food and coffee was delicious as always. We had the blueberry cheese danishes, berry waffles, cornmeal berry scones, and several different coffees. The service however was disorganized and scattered. Our clerk forgot a ham and cheese scone, and they didn't tell us one of the coffees was ready (and still behind the counter) so we waited an extra 8-10 minutes then finally asked. We are traveling and took it all to go, so didn't realize we were missing the ham and cheese croissant until we were on the road with no time to go back and get it.
Great food and coffees. Staff is always quick and courteous. The seats are kind of hard and I have to cut my visit short because I have hip and back problems and the hard seats cause them to act up. I do enjoy coming here whenever parking allows.
This is a good Ramones. There are a number of the Ramones in this area. This one is close to the hospital and they serve breakfast as well as pastries and cakes and coffee drinks. It could be a pleasant reassuring place to stop and have something to munch on in the midst of a medical day. Has an outdoor seating area in the back so you don’t have to listen to the cars go by and a few tables on the side in the sun.
They have a great variety of various pastries. We purchased several for a crowd. They were good, but nothing stood out as outstanding. I'm a hard sell, though, as I'm in the food business myself. We will definitely visit again.
Came in to try pastery only. On a corner across from medical offices. Had a chocolate croissant and bear claw. The claw was on the dry side, maybe over cooked. The croissant was better, but the chips were not all melted and pastery not layered or flakey. I prefer Schat's. Clean and pleasant staff and space. Counter service, with grab your own napkins and beverage additions. View of busy street and parking lot. Car did not stop for flashing lights when we were in crosswalk. May return sometime when in area.
Great food. Nice and fresh but plan on at least a 30 MINUTE WAIT for your meal. The comfortable laid back atmosphere extends to the length of time you wait to eat.
Usually wait for food doesn't take half n hour but did this day and wasn't cooked right and had a rude cashier and if you eat there they charge you for refills on reg coffee not cool si with all this new wait and rudeness that I've never experienced here my stars went down im praying next time it's as friendly as it was and food is back to yummy and cooked right
I really enjoy most about this location. The things offered here are above and beyond a local coffee shop which is nice. But the thing that's a bit off-putting is the fact that the service is not exactly friendly. My daughter really needed a glass of water and the pitcher was empty. When I asked for it to be filled, I got a very annoyed and sarcastic response from the lady. She said it's coming someone will do it. 10 minutes later it still wasn't done so I asked again, I got the same response, another 10 minutes later still not done so I stood at the counter and asked for a cup of water for a 4 year old. Yet again I was told with a meaner ton it's coming. It honestly feels like even small business don't seem to care about decent customer service anymore even though we customers are paying quite a lot of money supporting these places.
I love this place. We came here twice during our visit in Eureka. We had cake and coffee and they gave us a candle and a lighter. On our second visit we had the bbq chicken pizza. I thought it was dry, needs more sauce and flavor for the chicken. The atmosphere is great with art paintings 🖼 hanging on the wall. They also sell wine by the glass. Outdoor seating is also available. Clean restroom.
The pastry case here is impressive for the selection and the quality. Great options for breakfast and lunch with a daily special waffle. They serve only breakfast on Sunday until 3 pm. The spinach and ricotta stuffed croissant is divine. The people that work there are very kind and friendly. Plenty of indoor seating with more tables on the cute back patio.
The breakfast sandwich (egg, cheese and meet on a croissant) was tasty. The 30-minutes wait without any indication it would be that long was disappointing. If you’re in a hurry on a Sunday morning, go elsewhere. If you can wait, buy a newspaper outside, order a pastry with your coffee, and wait for the food.
Got a jalapeño and plain bagel cannot stress this enough but OMG one of the best bagels we’ve had! On another note we also got a smoothie and blended chai…let’s just say cold blended drinks are not their specialty. The chai was less than half full it was mainly foam and whipped cream same with the smoothie. The smoothie needed more fruit it tasted like flavored milk. We also got two pastries which were good…just the drinks were a fail and the bagels could’ve been bigger for the price.
I love Ramone's, but the wedding cake I received from them 2 weeks ago was an incredible disappointment. The cake was not decorated at all similarly to the inspiration photos I sent them, and the inside of the cake was mystifyingly bright pink and purple, like a children's birthday cake. The flavors were the same (pink champagne and lavender) but they didn't look at all like they looked on the tasting tray. The cakes here are delicious, but I'm just confused about the aesthetic choices they made.
Update. I’ve been going variably for a year. Great for breakfast. Croissants here are just perfection. Breakfast croissant was delicious. Flaky, airy. The chocolate croissant was HEAVEN! Crusty, airy layers with plenty of chocolate for every bite. The mocha was very good. It will be my go to in town. The Mexican mocha was good. Not the best I’ve had. They changed how they make pizza thank goodness! Much improved and overall tasty and doughy pizzas. Separate from the Cesar salad which is always very good the other lunch/dinner dishes are not exciting, consistent or great. I only go for breakfast and bakery items now.
This place has really great coffee and food. Desserts are amazing. Highly recommend spinach ricotta cheese croissant, lemon bars, tarts, etc. The reason I gave them three stars is because the food and drinks are very pricey. Also sometimes it's just way crowded. The customer service is good. Great place if you have the cash to spend on it and if you don't mind crowds. I really enjoy outdoor seating here.
Good food. Very pricey for the smaller portions. The wait is soooo long to get your food considering they have ten people at the front who are busy chatting with each other but apparently 1 cook!!
Delicious food and drinks. They give you many options to curve every appetite. Cashiers and waiters were very attentive with solid suggestions. Management seemed to not understand mimosa’s that we ordered. Took away glasses and explained multiple times things we already knew. Would suggest they relax on the hands on and let employees handle the situations. Also the plates of food were not timed well causing us to wait for each other’s plates up to 15 minutes.
baked good i got was fine. nothing special. closer to low quality than high. styrofoamy texture single black coffee refill for in house mug normal size costs 2 dollars dish came with corn tortillas. they were just warmed up cheap store bought, went stale after 2 minutes. meat was cooked well, potatoes and eggs were great seems they are trying to eek out as much money with charges and cheap ingredients as possible while trying to stay with more upscale image
Not impressed... Order and pay at the counter. Potatoes are the frozen kind, that are most likely dropped in a fryer. 1 piece of dry toast; butter and jam served in a little cardboard container. Had to ask for ketchup: "over by the coffee cart" I was informed. Ketchup packets like you get at a fast food joint... Then I was expected to gather up my plates and utensils and deliver them to a bus tub...I'm not a bus person... All for 16.00 dollars.... NOT IMPRESSED by this place... I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone..
Love the atmosphere! Not Gluten free friendly at all. While there are very limited sweet options, they are nestled on trays touching non gluten free items. Not safe for anyone allergic to wheat gluten.
Everything that is wrong with US bakeries and diners. You of course tip before you get any service with at least 15% selected. Then you have to get your coffee (Which is served in a disposable cup), wait 20min for the food (Which literally cannot be eaten without deconstructing it) to make sure the coffee is cold. Afterwards you buz your own table while 3 employees a having a casual conversation.
They charged me $40 for a cake that tasted stale as hell. It had an inch of tasteless oily buttercream when it was supposed to be fully lemon. The taste was so bad we threw it away and went to Costco to get a new cake. Not at all what I expected from an upscale bakery. On top of that they must have messed up when writing the name because it was very clearly smeared brown under the name which was super irritating considering the cost and product flavor. It was lemon right? Then why was it tasting like stale bland cornbread? Same texture. It was absolutely terrible.
Service is mainly self-serve. Which is fine but not reflected by the prices. My French toast was served, er, pick-up from the counter, cold. And the dirty dish tubs were overflowing.
Disgusting. I poured my drink on the ground. "Baristas Mix" is always filled with oils & unnecessary sugars. I make better lactose free lattes out of instant coffee at home. As a non-milk-drinker I've never understood paying money for an inferior product yet I keep hoping someday somewhere I'll find a cafe that can make something that doesn't taste like trash. That's on me I suppose... 🤷♂️
