Crowded elbow-to-elbow or quiet--staff here are awesome. Excellent beer & bands/music selection & variety. It can get crowded when someone Like Miller & the Other Sinners, Cinamon Jones or Joe Beard (swoon 😆) is playing but it's still just fine

Fantastic from service to wine selection and of course the food! There was even live music. The Sunrise Burger is pictured but I can also HIGHLY recommend the steak & shrimp risotto which was beyond excellent.

Great little bar in the village of Fairport. Live music, good food with updated specials. Clean environment. Shannon and Karrel are the bartending/serving duo. Drinks were good with rotating local favorites on tap. Saw all ages of folks in there enjoying the band. Would recommend, will return.

Fairport, NY is one of the best places to live in the entire country. B-Side contributes to this. They feature bands, but not just any local band, but the good ones. The beer selection is top-notch, and the food is excellent. My advice is to arrive early and get a good table. Eat dinner between the shows, while the main feature is setting up. Then enjoy. Thinking back, I have never once gone to B-Side and come away wishing I had done something else.

Good beer selection and a great atmosphere. Not the biggest place but with two bars, one on the first floor and one on the second floor, as well as an outside deck, it really feels bigger. Highly recommend ! Great employees too

Great little venue to catch some live music

This is a nice friendly bar that has live music right in the village of Fairport. The service here was quick and friendly, the food was good, and the beer was cold. I came here to watch my friends play music but found the place to be quite comfortable.

B-Side is a perfect place to relax enjoy some real good music and meet with friends. For me it's the kind of joint that you think of when you're trying to find a place to go that feels like you belong.

Since it opened up in the Spring of 2016, B-side has offered a live music venue Fairport was sorely lacking, or so says many people who come in. A little slow until around six o'clock, but still an excellent place to spend a Friday or Saturday evening. Disclaimer: I work here occasionally.

Great live music, almost all the time! I haven't had much of their food but the bar is good. Only downside is the building is tiny and usually packed, but if you get there early enough you should be able to get a seat.

We love the B-side! The staff is wonderful - always friendly and accommodating! We have never been disappointed and have frequently stopped in for a drink, cocktails and some appetizers, or dinner and drinks. And, the live music is always good! This is our go-to place when looking for live music, good drinks, great food, and friendly people!

What a great place. Stopped in to see some friends and I knew there would be a band but I was blown away by how good they were. The B Side is a small place. The music is free. There beer selection is well curated and it's just a great space for music.

I went to B-Side for a private birthday celebration. We were upstairs in a private room with food and drinks. The appetizers were very good, plenty of food at a high quality. I don't drink alcohol, so I can't speak to that aspect but the others in our group seemed to be satisfied with the selection. The bartender was very nice and took care of the group with a great attitude. The rest of the staff we interacted with was equally polite and helpful. If you need a place for a small gathering, I can highly recommend B-Side.

I don't know how this place fell off my radar before, but I'm SO glad I stopped in tonight! I had the sunrise burger and it has got to be one of the BEST burgers I have had in a long time. Service was great –our waitress was very attentive! We will definitely be stopping by again!! I wouldn't be surprised if we become regulars now, since moving into the area.

Brian Avery helped set a nice atmosphere with his music. We enjoyed our tasty Mahi-Mahi Tacos and Lobster Bisk while sipping good beer. Our service was very good, as was our interaction with other patrons.

10/10! My wife and I came here because our usual place was closed down. We were immediately blown away by the atmosphere. The waitress was excellent, the band (The Fornieri Brothers) was great, but most of all the food was absolutely stellar! We will definitely be back!

Staff was attentive without being bothersome. Food was outstanding. Wife had fish tacos, I had poutine. We were both thrilled! Had live music, solo acoustic, which was perfect volume. I have no bad things to say. Loved it!

Had a few drinks on the rooftop and really enjoyed the atmosphere! You will hear trains if you're up there.

Thursday night was our first visit to B Side. What a pleasant surprise. The atmosphere was great, and the decor is tastefully done. The food and drinks were exceptional! That evening, they had a great band playing, and they just added to the fun. A hidden gem in the Village of Fairport you won't want to miss. Pat Lippa.

Probably my favorite spot in Fairport. Great live music with a lively full crowd, but not an overwhelming one. It's a small intimate venue, not a big stage place. The food is excellent and did an amazing job of still serving the community during the pandemic. Also, a little hidden easter egg, there is an amazing upstairs bar area that also has outdoor patio seating. It is under utilized, but can be rented out for private events and is perfect for war weather or a place to have drinks and watch the Canal Days and/or Fairport Music Festivals.

Quaint venue with excellent food, service, and entertainment. It's my "go to" place when looking for something to do. I also helped throw my best friend's surprise party upstairs. It was an awesome atmosphere for an intimate gathering amongst close friends and one of the best nights.

Nice little spot right in the village of Fairport. The inside felt nicer than an average dive bar and the live music was a nice touch. The acoustics were fine but it was a solo artist and not a full band so I didn't get the full experience. There were some good craft beers on tap as well as familiar options for the less adventurous. The selection of booze covers all categories but if you're looking for something unique or hard to find this isn't the place for that, nor does it try to be. The cocktail list leaned on the sweet/fruity side but wasn't completely one-note. The food was excellent. We only had one menu staple, the wings. Served in portions of 3 or 6 (pieces include drumstick, wing, and wing tip - so double your order would be considered 6 or 12 elsewhere), the sauce was decently hot, tangy and peppery. The stars of the meal were specials that I hope get added permanently, mahi-mahi and shrimp tacos. The fish was well cooked and covered in jerk seasoning, paired well with a nice mango salsa, rice, and crema, and the shrimp was also delicious (my wife's meal so I can't remember the specifics). All in all a nice place to enjoy some music, food, and drinks.

Wonderful venue for live music nearly every evening; food choices are not quite to the level of the music choices but the execution is very good. Just get there early enough to get a place to sit - always crowded.

The live music is great. The place is small so it will be loud, if you are adverse to that, the live music times are not for you. The food is simple bar food, but done well. Their beer selection is limited, but they have enough of a selection that you will probably get by if you are into craft beers.

Really fun bar with live music! Rock covers in the main room while you.can talk and carry on normal level conversations in the side room. Big place, lots of room to dance. Food was pretty good. Fish tacos were 3 huge mahi loaded with toppings. Big enough for two people to split. Delicious pumpkin ale! Mixed drinks are very light pour and huge glass, so good if you're a light weight Enjoyed this place, right next to annual Oktoberfest. Fun night!

Went for dinner and drinks last night. Wait staff seemed like they did not want to be there, attitude bordered on unfriendly. The food was ok, but nothing memorable. Not worth a repeat visit.

Cool place, more for mature crowds, I loved the live band playing, good boneless wings. Drinks are decent, might be a bit expensive for some.

The food was amazing. Great portion size and delicious. Highly recommend the pear salad and the bisque. Unfortunately, the menu has become so limited. The food was good, but not as good as it used to be.

A bit crowded for a music venue. We had to stand in a corner near the bar. Their crab dip was amazing though and the drinks were good too.

I really don't want to be an ass, I've been coming here for close to 10 years to see my friends play music, and usually it's a great experience. But I went here for a show last Wednesday, and there was an upstairs DJ playing louder than the band with the door wide open. It just seems disrespectful to your long time patrons/ musicians to double book two live events that do not go together well in the slightest. To make matters worse, I headed upstairs to just check out the area, I order a drink, and the bartender was obviously hammered and blew a huge cloud of vape smoke in my face. Why are you letting your patrons act this way?

I had a very disturbing experience here last night. Last time I went to this bar it was very fun, the rooftop was open and I loved the atmosphere. This time, I had let the people I was with know that I loved B-Side and told them all night it was a great bar to go to. We make our way there and it was pretty empty, we got inside and planned to use the restroom before we got some drinks. We took one step towards the bathroom and the bartender is saying to us “Don’t go upstairs don’t go upstairs!!” so we go okay can we use the restroom? She says yes. There was a few of us girls, so it was taking us a little longer (typical girls using bathrooms together lol) as we were about to leave the restroom, we hear a knock so loud on the door I almost jumped out of my skin. We all fell silent and the group of us girls were actually scared to leave the bathroom because we didn’t know who was on the other side of the door. We think maybe someone needs to go really bad. We open the door and a woman is on the other side yelling at us “Every single one of you better be buying a drink right now! and not just using MY bathroom” okay is this the owner I thought? She’s practically screaming in our faces and we all usher to the front bar. I was very upset and asking who does that? Who does that to people who come into your bar looking to have a fun time. The same lady very proudly sits down at the bar and says “I do!!”. I told her we were going to buy drinks and hang out but after that interaction I felt threatened and unsafe. I told her we were leaving and that is not how you keep business. I’m still disgusted by this experience and very upset because I truly did love this bar. I hope something changes.
