This is really good! It looks spicy but not really. The chili oil has some tastes to it instead of just being spicy. That and the pickled vegetable really make the wontons better!

The #6 wontons with hot sauce are perfection.

Fantastic food, most authentic that I’ve had outside of China. Prepared fresh and brought out to you in minutes. No seating but no problem if it’s not too cold, you can stand nearby and enjoy your meal.

Highly recommended by my brother when I came up to visit. They give a large and filling portion sizes, the ingredients are fresh and the flavor is out of this world!!! It cost $10, cash only. I would definitely go back!!! Thank you White Bear!!!

Definitely an oldie but goodie. Order the number 6 while you are there...in fact, order two of the number 6 - one to eat while you are outside and one to eat on the train on the way back to Manhattan. You are going to wish you ordered more. This is a classic and I don't know anybody who doesn't like this. Just the perfect amount of ingredients that make up the flavor in these dumplings.

Literal hole in the wall. Served through a slit in a door. Kind of adds to the charm somehow though. What amazing flavor and taste for such a non conventional and lackluster eatery. Definitely a must try for the hole-in-the-wall foodie.

I never thought wontons could taste this good but White Bear is a consistent must go every time I visit NYC :) Recommend getting the restaurant's specialty wontons with the house sauce.

Everytime I go to Flushing, I have to hit up the White Bear for the Wontons. My visits wouldnt be complete without it. Amazing flavor, great price, and pretty easy to eat just about anywhere. I always have to order at least two, to save another for later.

#6 Wonton w Hot sauce is the way to go! Amazingly soft wontons with flavorful chili crisp, garlic, and green onions on top. It’s the most flavorful dumpling I’ve had. Highly recommend! Cash only

Amazing Wontons. Definitely get the ones with hot sauce as it's not even that spicy but mainly full of flavour.

Small and tight dining space, but food is authentic and delicious. No. 6 and 17 on the menu is pretty much what everyone orders. A joint for classic dumplings and noodles.

C

Delicious little wontons! Everyone, and I mean everyone (the couple in front of me and the 5 people that came in behind me) all had number 6 Wonton with Hot Sauce, no soup. 12 wontons in total for $7, what a steal! They use a lot of plastic, so I brought my own Tupperware

S
Sandra Wong

Cheap and delicious! There is very limited seating (two tables) but it is worth it. It is a small store with scrumptious food. This is one of their popular items. It was spicy but not too spicy. There was a nice kick and it was amazing. This is one of my favorite spots when I want a quick and cheap snack when in Downtown Flushing. It is close to the subway station and to Skyview mall.

10 out of 10. I got the chili dumplings and they are unbelievable. I would come back here again and again just for these! Very highly recommend! Very friendly owners 🥰

So let me start off by saying this the first time I have fealt inclined to write a review for anything. My family just moved into the Flushing area from another state and have been a bit overwhelmed with all the food options here. So we did what anyone else does, we started looking up reviews and vlogs. We needed help deciding where to spend the little bit of free time we have and we wanted to try something new. Literally every vlog and review we read mentioned white bear. So it was a no brainer to give it a try.... all those same reviews and vlogs say to try the wontons in spicy sauce (number 6 I believe). Now I myself am sensitive to spicy food and always get hesitant when something is labeled spicy. But with all the positive reviews, we decided to order them and give it a try........ and they're amazing. They weren't spicy at all, the wontons had a little tabasco like taste but very little heat. If you have ever had a spicy ramen understand that ramen is 10x spicier than these wontons. The meat in the middle was juicy and tender, and the part I couldn't get over was the wonton itself, the outside was so silky and delicate unlike anything I had ever had at any other Chinese restaurant before. Even after we finished the wontons we were just eating the topping that fell off, it was that good!!! If you are in the area and want something fresh, authentic, and original I suggest you give this a try!!!!!

White Bear in Flushing truly stands out for its exceptional dumplings, making it well worth a visit. This eatery's menu, featuring 34 different options, is highlighted by the highly popular no. 6 - a plate of wontons with hot sauce. These wontons are a delightful mix of pork and vegetables, masterfully encased in wrappers that are incredibly soft yet offer a slight chewiness. An order includes 12 wontons, which is perfect for a light meal or to share. For those looking to enjoy the taste of White Bear at home, they offer the convenient option of purchasing 100 frozen wontons. This makes White Bear not just destination but also a source for those seeking to replicate their exquisite flavors in their own kitchen.

Another Hole in the wall with a table 🤩 Flashing Food scene is big, colorful, interesting and shows the diversity of the cuisine you can find here. From Chinese, to Indian, to Mexican, to Jewish, to African , to Tibetan cuisine. The NUMBER 6 Spicy pork & vegetable Wonton, of White Bear is a MUST. It’s spicy 🌶️ as I love spicy 🌶️ food, DON’T eat if you can’t handle spicy 🤩 chili 🌶️ dumplings, full of flavors and Delicious, Eat it in the street Or in the park down the block, 2 minutes walking.

The Dan Dan noodles and spicy wontons are the best here. Take them home or eat them when they're hot on the sidewalk. Can be a bit messy but you won't regret it.

Best wontons I’ve ever tried, I love it so much that when I found out they were finally open after pandemic I drove from NJ about an hour to get these wontons. As usual the quality was amazing and the lady prepared the plate perfect to go as they are now attending to go orders at their window. Will never stop coming here!

The #6 (spicy wontons) are incredible!!! The secret is all in the chili oil. Now I don't have the best tolerance for spicy food but I didn't even think these were that spicy. It's all flavor for me. Amazing and reasonably priced. Also the lady who manages this place is super sweet and nice.

Go! It was highly recommended by all my coworkers who live in the Flushing area and I finally had a chance to check it out. My only regret is that I haven’t gone sooner! The wontons are so tender and fresh. It is spicy but extremely manageable. A handful of the people I went with cannot tolerate spice but this is more of a Szechuan type of spice so they were totally fine.

A
Alexandra Lindsay

#6 is a revelation. Fresh, perfect texture, and the ideal balance of salty spicy. When I heard my favorite dumpling spot in flushing closed down, I knew I quickly needed a new favorite and White Bear is it. Wish they had seating, but a newsstand out front proved to be just perfect and we enjoyed finding people standing on the street in the area eating their delicious wontons.

Delicious wontons in chili oil, $10, highly recommended! The skin is chewy, the filling is juicy, and the chili oil gives it the perfect savory seasoning. Did take out and ate at a park nearby.

Customers need to be very self conscious because they only have 5 tables with 10 seats. This location is good for quick lunch. The owner have amazing memory, they will catch you if u stay without ordering.... 🤣. Their food is specialize in dumpling. If it is your first time over here I recommend you to try: # 2 - wonton ( pork ) soup # 6 - wonton with hot sauce

White Bear had the most delicious wontons I've ever had in my life. It is very much a hole in the wall but you won't regret making the trip to Flushing for these amazing wontons. They are authentically made because the couple that owns it definitely know what they are doing.

Definitely one of my favourite restaurants in Flushing. Food was hot, fresh and ready to go. The chili oil was not spicy despite the color, adding an exceptional flavor to the dumplings. 10/10 would recommend to a friend/sibling

Small takeaway window thats easy to miss but hard to forget. Ask for #7 or their populars by number and have cash ready. Possibly the best dumplings with chilli oil around. My only regret was not getting more.

We came here thanks to the legend Mark Wiens. We came in a weekday around 6PM and were able to walk up to the window (no line) and had our dumplings within minutes. There is a nearby park we sat and enjoyed our dumplings. We got the pork dumplings with hot sauce (chili oil) and they were amazing!

I can confidently say that these are the best wontons I've ever had. My husband and I got the Wonton with Hot Sauce (#6). The toppings and sauce were super flavorful. I could have gotten many orders of these, but this was a quick snack before another stop for dinner. They're cash only. There's a bank across the street in case you show up without cash like we did.

T

We ordered the Number 6: wontons with chili sauce. At $10 for 10 wontons, it’s an incredible deal! My husband and I were on a self-guided food crawl, and this spot easily became our favorite. The wonton wrappers were perfectly thin and soft, with a wonderfully balanced, flavorful filling. The proportion of wrapper to filling was spot on. The real star of the dish, though, was the chili oil. It brought an incredible crispness, crunchiness, and savoriness that elevated the wontons to another level. The umami it delivered was unforgettable—this is not your average chili oil! It’s also surprisingly mild in terms of spice, which I personally appreciated. Just a heads up: there’s no seating, as the food is served from a window. But honestly, the quality of their food more than makes up for it. I’d rather eat standing here than fight for a seat at one of the overcrowded spots in the neighborhood.

B
Brigitta Danyi

Love the broiled wonton! It’s a little tiny spot take out and cash only! We come here for the dumplings, they don’t have yet but the wonton was worth a try! Very tasty, light, delicious! Definitely come back!

Found out about this place online and decided to give it a try ! We ordered the No. 6 Wonton with Hot Sauce which is their recommended popular dish and it definitely lived up to the hype. The wontons were big with ample filling and the wonton skin was not too thick. The hot sauce was filled with salted vegetables which was a perfect pairing with the wonton. They accept cash only so do rem to have cash on hand. Will definitely come back again !

M
Michael Llamas

I have been here twice and I remember the first time coming here it was amazing. As other reviews have said, you must get the number 6. It's a pretty simple dish and the store itself is pretty small, but it's so beautifully done and it packs so much flavor. I don't remember how many dumplings it comes with, but it's a decent amount for one person. The preserved veggies and the spicy chili oil sauce on top is perfection.

A
Arthur Zak

The GOAT of wontons. Been coming here for many years, honestly surprised they're still surviving post covid. An elderly couple runs this, they have a sizeable menu but the main star is the #6, a dozen wontons in hot chili oil with pickled mustard greens. I don't know how they do it, but the acidic saltiness of the greens combined with the magical spices they used is (scalding hot) heaven in your mouth. Inflation is catching up to them ($10 for a dozen) but I think it's still worth it.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at White Bear in Flushing, and I must say, it was a delightful experience from start to finish. Nestled in the vibrant neighborhood of Flushing, this unassuming gem offers a culinary journey that exceeded my expectations. First and foremost, the dumplings at White Bear are a true culinary masterpiece. Each bite was bursting with flavor, and the delicate balance of seasonings and fillings left me craving more. The signature wontons in spicy sauce were a standout, perfectly complemented by the tangy yet amazing food.

Y
Yiran Liu

Wontons in chili oil were very good. I think the chili oil sauce was not the absolute best I have had but was good. But the combination of that and the wontons, which were thin with a great ratio of meat made the dish overall a great value.

Went to Flushing to grab some groceries at 99 Ranch Market. Afterwards we were hungry and wanted something quick. Came to this spot which they were out of dumplings so we got the wontons with chili oil. It was rated the 2nd best thing to get. We ate one order so quick then went back to order another. $10 per order. 10/10 would recommend. They only accept cash!

This was my second trip to Flushing's Chinatown for food in two days - and although the food I had earlier was impressive, this one is even better for me. I had the #6 wontons here, which is 10 wontons with chili oil. It's one of the best dishes I've ever had There's not much in terms of fanciness to this combo. It's just 10 wontons, stuffed with pork, mixed with chili oil, and with some scallions and onions on top. That's it. Wontons aren't always my favorite thing in the world - usually I find the dough to be kind of chewy, and you end up eating the dough and pork separately. However, this was just perfection in execution. When I rate places, I think about things would improve a dish, like adding or removing certain ingredients, or a change in the cooking process. I can't think of a single thing here. This is flawless the way it is, and I wouldn't alter a single thing I've never had anything like the dough on these wontons. They're so unbelievably soft it's insane. I'm used to it having some chew, but here the skin literally melts through your mouth. It's on the thinner side, but you feel its presence, and importantly - it does a great job of holding the filling in. They were all sealed perfectly, and clearly each was hand-wrapped beautifully. The pork filling was another great part of this. So juicy, retaining so much flavor, and actually present in large sizes inside the wontons. We've all had those wontons that are 90% dough, 10% meat - but this was not the case here, as it filled up pretty much all the empty space inside The chili oil was what really made this dish. It imparts the perfect level of spice for just that extra additional flavor, and obviously the fat from the oil is unbelievably good. It would've been so easy to overdo things by putting too much oil and making it greasy, but that doesn't happen here - it's the exact right amount. The fact that this cost me just $10, for what turned out to be 10 massive wontons and a very filling meal, is just ludicrous. The Chinatown here has some of the greatest food values I've seen in this country. Overall, this is just perfection in Chinese food. 10/10

Cash only. Takeout only. But the wontons are worth it (nr 6)! Absolute fire! Also had their dan dan noodles, which are not traditional sichuan style, but more northern. Can also fully recommend!

We had the chance to explore Flushing for some great food and decided to start with White Bear. We went with their most recommended dish—the wontons with chili oil. The portion was generous, and the spice level was perfectly balanced. The wontons themselves were incredibly flavorful and packed with filling. We shared one order among our group, but it was so good we were tempted to go back for another!

Ève Arsenault

I can see where the hype is coming from, #6 is fire. I personally would've liked it a bit more spicy but in the end it was perfect because my boyfriend DOES NOT do spicy so I guess it's like a perfect in between for the people that like spicy food and the people that don't handle it too well. The service was also really fast

Finally got the opportunity to go try a place that is highly regarded in flushing! Buyers beware it is cash only! Wasn't too hungry but still wanted to try the famous number 6 chili oil wontons. For just $10 it's not a bad price at all. You get a properly stuffed container with wontons along with a generous quantity of chili oil toppings. If you're looking for a spice level that doesn't really hit you right away and only heats up a little bit over time this is the dish for you. One thing to keep in mind is I prefer spicier food so if you're sensitive to spice be wary. If you are desperate to sit at a table to eat this food I recommend walking about 5 minutes over to one of several world markets that are all in the area with indoor seating spaces!

White Bear is a Flushing must-visit, famous for its wontons in chili oil and the #17 noodles in hot sauce. The flavors are bold, the prices are great, and the portions hit the spot. It’s cash only with no indoor seating, so plan to take your food to go—but trust me, it’s worth it!

The number six!! So good! 10 flavorful chili dumplings for 10 bucks. Great deal. Eat it in the street. Or in the park down the block, since there is no seating at this walk-up window. Definitely worth it. My wife got the number 17. Which she enjoyed. But maybe not as much as my 6.

One of many dumplings shops in Flushing Queens that offers a great value for the money. I ordered the most popular dish which is the #6 which are the steamed wontons in chilli oil. They did not disappoint.

I heard rumors about the wontons with chili oil and they were 100% correct! That chili oil is AMAZING and the warm wontons were perfect on a cold day.

Stuart L

The review is only for the wontons in hot oil. The hype is real. The chili wontons are some of the best dumplings I've had in the city. At first I couldn't believe/didn't want to pay the 12 for $10 price. After having them, I'd pay that again. The composition and balance of filling, soft exterior skin, and chewy internal dumpling skin was perfection. I would have liked more hot oil veggie mixture on top but that's personal preference. Also had the Dan Dan noodles and I wouldn't order again instead two orders of the wontons in chili oil 🥟🥟🥟🥟🥟

Y

Stopped by for the red-oil wontons (红油抄手) after hearing about it featured in the Michelin Guide. The dish has a fresh, home-style quality that’s certainly enjoyable—but it didn’t quite wow me. The wrapper was a bit too firm, and the filling-to-wrapper ratio felt off, with too much dough and not enough meat. Still, it’s a solid option if you’re nearby and craving a comforting Sichuan bite.

M
Max Handelsman

Excellent, but since they've gotten some attention their prices have gone up sharply. Can't blame them, but there are other hole-in-the-wall places that are just as good, but cheaper. The wontons in hot sauce are the bomb, though.

K
Kevin Huang

Good dumplings and wonton. Not much else. The wonton here are good. They were out of the shrimp, the space was pretty cramped, and the food took some time to come out. The flavor of the sauce was amazing on the spicy wonton. However, there didn't seem to be enough per wonton on average.

D
Dawn Christon

Take note!!! There is no longer a dining in option. You have to order from the window and take the food to go. There was quite a bit of a wait as the owner boiled our dumplings fresh though there was no other customers. The dumpling sauce was a bit salty for my taste but it was still quite good. The portions were large and good value for the cost.

J

The chili oil wontons at White Bear are 12 for $10. It is a small hole-in-the-wall shop in the heart of Flushing, with take-out only and no seating. The chili oil wontons were ready and piping hot almost immediately and were coated in a delicious hot chili oil sauce and a bit of chopped scallions. Overall, it was pretty good. They were not the best chili oil wontons I've ever had. It definitely could have used a bit more chili oil and spices/seasoning overall, and maybe a bit of garlic, but overall it was not too bad for the price and amount of wontons you receive. It was perfect to eat on a cold day. Solid 4/5 stars!

M
Miguel Maal

Spicy dumplings was the only thing they had left when we arrived. Taste is really good!! But no spicy at all! I wonder if we even got the wrong order. Anyways, really good!! Will be back

My group spent a few heated minutes strategizing what to get from the menu, considering everyone’s preferences etc. When we got to the counter the lady informed us there are only 2 things available from the menu: wontons and dandan noodles. Wish we could’ve tried other things but alas both were delicious

B
Bredgy L.

#6 Chili Wontons - Chili oil is very fragrant and a bit spicy, topped with salty preserved veggies and scallions for extra rounded flavour. Wontons itself were soft and the wrapper was chewy but a bit too thick. Meat inside didn't feel super substantial but the taste made up for it. Check out @bredgyeats for food pictures!

Very good wontons at a great price. Best? Not so sure but worth checking out when in Flushing

S

overpriced and overrated (recently increased prices) but their spicy wontons were pretty good. the noodles, however, were pretty cold and not that flavorful.

S
Sushi Sue

Take-out only. Got the #6 that everyone recommends, which are the soup-less wontons with chili oil. Currently $9 for 12 wontons, cash-only. I got my order quickly and the wontons were hot and fresh, and the portion filling, but I found the flavor to be too salty and not spicy. I thought they’d be spicy given the chili oil and naming, but it was mostly just salt and oil. Therefore docking one star because it didn’t really live up to the description. Since there is no indoor or outdoor seating, I recommend you go to the small park nearby or one of the communal food courts on Roosevelt.

B
Benny V

I love the soft and chewy texture of the wontons. It tasted good but I did not find it spicy at all. Fillings were nice though. Everything is to-go as you order from a window. It was $10 which is priced fair.

M
Martino Pham

It's kinda funny how you order here. There's a plexiglass window, you order, then an ajumma shuffles over and you hand over the cash. It's like a human run vending machine but in a quaint way. On to the food! We order the dumplings with chili oil and they are fantastic. The skins are so thin, it's amazing they could be picked up with chopsticks. The pickled radish in tiny diced form add a refreshing, but not overpowering, taste to each bite. It aids in cutting the oiliness of the chili oil, and cleansing your palatte for another experience of those tender little morsels. That being said, the main saltiness comes from the pickled veggies and the chili oil. The dumplings themselves are relatively unseasoned leaving you to rely on the plating of the dish to evenly season each bite. As a result, some dumplings tasted like it was seasoned just right according to my palate while others tasted completely unseasoned. Whether this was the intention or not, I wish the filling itself was more seasoned to combat this inconsistency. Saw on YT videos so figured they were worth a try and indeed they were despite mentioned flaws.

bobwho1995

Got the number 6, wontons in chili oil, $10. Just standard wontons in chili oil and some pickled vegetables. Not that spicy. Over hyped in my opinion. Overall a 7/10. Was hoping for more flavor, more meaty flavor.

R

I love Sichuan style dumplings with chili oil and this place has been on my list for a while. Their #6 dumplings definitely score high marks for authenticity and are delicious. My only issue was the lack of real heat in the chile oil which I found underwhelming compared to those I had in China. I’m hoping though this may just be an issue of asking for spicy and look forward to trying again on a future visit.

Like everyone else I ordered the #6, wontons in chili oil and thoroughly enjoyed it, however I admit that the actual meat filling of the wontons is just okay. The wait time was under 10 minutes, be careful when opening the bowl because the chili oil will be everywhere (sadly I didn't take a good picture of my order)

It's tasty and the texture is delicious. The filling is a bit small and could use more flavor. Also, it was not spicy at all. I like that it wasn't salty... It hit the spot but nothing to rush over there for.

Very Honest Reviews

We don’t come to Flushing often, but when we do we always try to stop by White Bear. We love their wontons and dumplings. Don’t expect much from the store front or costumer service, but the food is delicious! Can’t get enough of their spicy oil sauce. Recently when we came here they only wontons available. Maybe it was because it was almost closing time. But we also got some frozen dumplings. The price is a bit more pricey than I remember… inflation sucks. This place is still a great go-to!

7/10/22: I found out about this place from a coworker who was in town from Miami. He said they had great dumplings. So I drove and he ran in to buy. Got back to the crew lounge and ate them up. Yeah the reviews are correct, these dumplings are really really good! I think they are #6 as others have stated. I don't know for sure, because I was waiting in the car... Not easy parking so definitely a 2 person run. Very worth it. I will certainly return for more and try other dishes as well.

Take-out only restaurant, we got the chili oil wontons. They were decent but I wish there were more chili oil.

White Bear dumplings with hot sauce is popular. We got 12 dumplings for 8 bucks. The dumplings are flavorful and juicy. The hot sauce isn't spicy at all. There is a bit of a waiting, but it moves pretty fast.

Got the famous #6 wontons with chili oil with a group of friends; A sweet grandma made us the wontons topped with that delectable looking chili oil. The wontons were warm and tender, the filling juicy but not too greasy, with wrappers that were perfect thickness. I think we all might have held way too high expectations of the dish though, since we felt like the flavor was slightly lacking. Perhaps it was because we didn't ask for extra chili oil like some people recommended on IG? Or maybe we just should've spread out the bits of the topping that seemed like pickled pepper/sauerkraut (this was definitely salty) were definitely strong, since we didn't have them with every bite. But this was definitely a bang for your buck, and still better than most other dumplings.

These were some of the most delicious wontons I’ve ever had! We got the #6 with hot chili oil. I went a bit later, close to closing at 6:30pm and they were still delicious and freshly made.

We stopped by for their popular chili wontons, and they lived up to the hype. The wontons had a nice balance of tender wrapper and well-seasoned meat, and the portion was generous for the price—like many Chinatown stalls, it’s a great value, $10 for 12 wontons. Bring cash! The chili-onion sauce was delicious: flavorful, a little kick but not overpowering, and it tied everything together perfectly. This is more of a take-and-go spot than a sit-down, but it’s definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area and craving something quick and satisfying.

A good place to grab a quick bite in Flushing! It is only take out now. I ordered the #6 Wontons with chili oil. It is a good portion for the price, only $10, cash only. I wish there was a little more meat in them than dough, but still good. Sauce isn’t too spicy, it’s just right.

I’m not sure if it’s because this place was overhyped to me, but the chili wontons weren’t mind blowing to me. They were pretty good but not something I’d crave for.

$10 is too much for mediocre dumplings in spicy oil. Done come all the way to flushing for this and if you’re here anyway, choose somewhere else.

I ordered the chili wontons since I heard about them on tik tok. They tasted good, however I don't see the hyped around it. There is no indoor or outdoor seating available which sucks because this isn't a quick bite meal. Me and my friend attempt to go to the park, which is located steps away. However, there were homeless people sitting on majority of the benches. I recommend going to New world mall's food court.

Spicy wontons were gross. The dumplings are too thick, ratio was off, chili sauce is okay, it does need soy sauce. I had to put scallions on top for more favor, threw them out after 5. Disappointed because it was hyped up on YouTube. However, the owners were very friendly and sweet!!!

Came across this hidden gem and decided to try the chili wontons with an extra kick of chili oil. Initially, the flavors were outstanding, however, the excessive saltiness made it difficult to continue enjoying the dish after the second or third bite. Despite this, I would still give it another try when back in the neighborhood.

Honestly the hype is there but the taste isn’t. Not that they’re bad but honestly very average. I swear the price was cheaper before but for $10 for the wontons in hot oil that weren’t even spicy. Glad there wasn’t a line because it would not have been worth the wait to me

I only had the chilli oil wontons as I’ve heard a lot of hype surrounding it, and in my opinion it was good and tasty but not great or anything special. The price is also $10 now. Worth eating if you’re in the area but not anything to make a trip for.

I brought the chili oil wontons. Although it’s topped with chilies, I don’t find it spicy at all (high tolerance for spicy food). I had high expectations due to the hype, but in reality the wontons are alright. It’s good but not thatttttttt good… I think for the price ($10) it’s fair cuz there are more than 8 pieces. Personally, I think it would’ve taste better if the bottom of the wonton is fried and crispy. There is no sitting area as the store front is pretty small.

It tasted like nothing. Genuinely. And for some reason they weren't open for ~15-20 mins past their stated opening time.

Got takeout. Meh, good for the price, but nothing special. Overhyped - Wontons: 6/10, wish there was more flavor, esp the chili oil *Note: Cash only

Nothing fancy here—just window service and no seating—but orders come out quickly. While the setup is unimpressive, the #6 wontons with chili oil are good and worth the experience if you’re nearby. $10 cash only.

Small portion, good flavor. I waited 10 minutes with only 4 orders in front of me and they didn't have dumplings, so I ordered the wontons everyone orders. The food was fine if you are in the area, but nothing special, so in my opinion it's not worth standing in line, and much less taking a trip to Flushing just for this.

Overhyped wontons with chilli oil. 1. Wontons were served at room temperature, not hot off the stove 2. Sauce lacked flavour, spicy oil was just oil with almost no kick 3. Thick wonton skins 4. Pork didn’t taste that fresh 5. Price was expensive, $8.5 for 8 wontons for a take out hole in the wall I’ve heard they use to be good but with the hype their quality has decline over the last decade.

I used to come to this place before the hype in 2015 and dumplings were good. I went recently and decided to try their noodles and was so disappointed. It tastes like something I can make at my house. Boil noodles and add chili sauce on top. Worst part is they charge you $10 for a half empty bowl, they don't even fill up the bowl with noodles. I do not recommend getting the noodles here. In the picture is half eaten noodles but there were barely any to begin with. It's worth $5 at most.

Went here because of tiktok. We found several pieces of steel wool (? Or some wirey metal) in the dumplings. This is dangerous because, when swallowed, steel wool can lodge itself in your throat and cause esophagus issues. Please be careful when eating here.

I’m sorry I am officially side eying anyone who likes this. This has no flavor. Definition of empty calories. Service is non existent of course I get where I am at but it came out so quick it was not freshly cooked, clearly was sitting in water all day. Sauce is just plain old chili oil (putting chili oil on something doesn’t automatically make it good ugh) no where to sit, hella people just outside with their stuff. Very awkward environment. Pork had no flavor inside either. Absolute waste. Go to Shanghai garden. CASH ONLY IN 2025 IS CRAZY WORK, have to drop a star

Ordered #6 wonton chili oil. While it looks decent, as an asian there was no flavor nor was it spicy. If you want good wonton chili oil, I highly suggest to go somewhere else! Too much hype for something way below mediocre.
