Wontons in chili oil were very good. I think the chili oil sauce was not the absolute best I have had but was good. But the combination of that and the wontons, which were thin with a great ratio of meat made the dish overall a great value.

Went to Flushing to grab some groceries at 99 Ranch Market. Afterwards we were hungry and wanted something quick. Came to this spot which they were out of dumplings so we got the wontons with chili oil. It was rated the 2nd best thing to get. We ate one order so quick then went back to order another. $10 per order. 10/10 would recommend. They only accept cash!

This was my second trip to Flushing's Chinatown for food in two days - and although the food I had earlier was impressive, this one is even better for me. I had the #6 wontons here, which is 10 wontons with chili oil. It's one of the best dishes I've ever had There's not much in terms of fanciness to this combo. It's just 10 wontons, stuffed with pork, mixed with chili oil, and with some scallions and onions on top. That's it. Wontons aren't always my favorite thing in the world - usually I find the dough to be kind of chewy, and you end up eating the dough and pork separately. However, this was just perfection in execution. When I rate places, I think about things would improve a dish, like adding or removing certain ingredients, or a change in the cooking process. I can't think of a single thing here. This is flawless the way it is, and I wouldn't alter a single thing I've never had anything like the dough on these wontons. They're so unbelievably soft it's insane. I'm used to it having some chew, but here the skin literally melts through your mouth. It's on the thinner side, but you feel its presence, and importantly - it does a great job of holding the filling in. They were all sealed perfectly, and clearly each was hand-wrapped beautifully. The pork filling was another great part of this. So juicy, retaining so much flavor, and actually present in large sizes inside the wontons. We've all had those wontons that are 90% dough, 10% meat - but this was not the case here, as it filled up pretty much all the empty space inside The chili oil was what really made this dish. It imparts the perfect level of spice for just that extra additional flavor, and obviously the fat from the oil is unbelievably good. It would've been so easy to overdo things by putting too much oil and making it greasy, but that doesn't happen here - it's the exact right amount. The fact that this cost me just $10, for what turned out to be 10 massive wontons and a very filling meal, is just ludicrous. The Chinatown here has some of the greatest food values I've seen in this country. Overall, this is just perfection in Chinese food. 10/10

Cash only. Takeout only. But the wontons are worth it (nr 6)! Absolute fire! Also had their dan dan noodles, which are not traditional sichuan style, but more northern. Can also fully recommend!

We had the chance to explore Flushing for some great food and decided to start with White Bear. We went with their most recommended dish—the wontons with chili oil. The portion was generous, and the spice level was perfectly balanced. The wontons themselves were incredibly flavorful and packed with filling. We shared one order among our group, but it was so good we were tempted to go back for another!

I can see where the hype is coming from, #6 is fire. I personally would've liked it a bit more spicy but in the end it was perfect because my boyfriend DOES NOT do spicy so I guess it's like a perfect in between for the people that like spicy food and the people that don't handle it too well. The service was also really fast

Finally got the opportunity to go try a place that is highly regarded in flushing! Buyers beware it is cash only! Wasn't too hungry but still wanted to try the famous number 6 chili oil wontons. For just $10 it's not a bad price at all. You get a properly stuffed container with wontons along with a generous quantity of chili oil toppings. If you're looking for a spice level that doesn't really hit you right away and only heats up a little bit over time this is the dish for you. One thing to keep in mind is I prefer spicier food so if you're sensitive to spice be wary. If you are desperate to sit at a table to eat this food I recommend walking about 5 minutes over to one of several world markets that are all in the area with indoor seating spaces!

White Bear is a Flushing must-visit, famous for its wontons in chili oil and the #17 noodles in hot sauce. The flavors are bold, the prices are great, and the portions hit the spot. It’s cash only with no indoor seating, so plan to take your food to go—but trust me, it’s worth it!

The number six!! So good! 10 flavorful chili dumplings for 10 bucks. Great deal. Eat it in the street. Or in the park down the block, since there is no seating at this walk-up window. Definitely worth it. My wife got the number 17. Which she enjoyed. But maybe not as much as my 6.

One of many dumplings shops in Flushing Queens that offers a great value for the money. I ordered the most popular dish which is the #6 which are the steamed wontons in chilli oil. They did not disappoint.

I heard rumors about the wontons with chili oil and they were 100% correct! That chili oil is AMAZING and the warm wontons were perfect on a cold day.

The review is only for the wontons in hot oil. The hype is real. The chili wontons are some of the best dumplings I've had in the city. At first I couldn't believe/didn't want to pay the 12 for $10 price. After having them, I'd pay that again. The composition and balance of filling, soft exterior skin, and chewy internal dumpling skin was perfection. I would have liked more hot oil veggie mixture on top but that's personal preference. Also had the Dan Dan noodles and I wouldn't order again instead two orders of the wontons in chili oil 🥟🥟🥟🥟🥟

White Bear dumplings with hot sauce is popular. We got 12 dumplings for 8 bucks. The dumplings are flavorful and juicy. The hot sauce isn't spicy at all. There is a bit of a waiting, but it moves pretty fast.

Got the famous #6 wontons with chili oil with a group of friends; A sweet grandma made us the wontons topped with that delectable looking chili oil. The wontons were warm and tender, the filling juicy but not too greasy, with wrappers that were perfect thickness. I think we all might have held way too high expectations of the dish though, since we felt like the flavor was slightly lacking. Perhaps it was because we didn't ask for extra chili oil like some people recommended on IG? Or maybe we just should've spread out the bits of the topping that seemed like pickled pepper/sauerkraut (this was definitely salty) were definitely strong, since we didn't have them with every bite. But this was definitely a bang for your buck, and still better than most other dumplings.

These were some of the most delicious wontons I’ve ever had! We got the #6 with hot chili oil. I went a bit later, close to closing at 6:30pm and they were still delicious and freshly made.

We stopped by for their popular chili wontons, and they lived up to the hype. The wontons had a nice balance of tender wrapper and well-seasoned meat, and the portion was generous for the price—like many Chinatown stalls, it’s a great value, $10 for 12 wontons. Bring cash! The chili-onion sauce was delicious: flavorful, a little kick but not overpowering, and it tied everything together perfectly. This is more of a take-and-go spot than a sit-down, but it’s definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area and craving something quick and satisfying.

A good place to grab a quick bite in Flushing! It is only take out now. I ordered the #6 Wontons with chili oil. It is a good portion for the price, only $10, cash only. I wish there was a little more meat in them than dough, but still good. Sauce isn’t too spicy, it’s just right.

It tasted like nothing. Genuinely. And for some reason they weren't open for ~15-20 mins past their stated opening time.

Got takeout. Meh, good for the price, but nothing special. Overhyped - Wontons: 6/10, wish there was more flavor, esp the chili oil *Note: Cash only

Nothing fancy here—just window service and no seating—but orders come out quickly. While the setup is unimpressive, the #6 wontons with chili oil are good and worth the experience if you’re nearby. $10 cash only.

Small portion, good flavor. I waited 10 minutes with only 4 orders in front of me and they didn't have dumplings, so I ordered the wontons everyone orders. The food was fine if you are in the area, but nothing special, so in my opinion it's not worth standing in line, and much less taking a trip to Flushing just for this.

I used to come to this place before the hype in 2015 and dumplings were good. I went recently and decided to try their noodles and was so disappointed. It tastes like something I can make at my house. Boil noodles and add chili sauce on top. Worst part is they charge you $10 for a half empty bowl, they don't even fill up the bowl with noodles. I do not recommend getting the noodles here. In the picture is half eaten noodles but there were barely any to begin with. It's worth $5 at most.

Ordered #6 wonton chili oil. While it looks decent, as an asian there was no flavor nor was it spicy. If you want good wonton chili oil, I highly suggest to go somewhere else! Too much hype for something way below mediocre.
