Very delicious kosher food, beef stew, the eggplant salad were just very tasty portions were big, also the shawarma full of chicken was very good, service was fast and good. Very small restaurant family oriented with no reservations
I have been coming to grill point for years!! I love the food I love the positive energy in this place. I have been observing a young girl who has been working there for quite sometime now. Yesterday I had the privilege of asking for her name. Her name is Regina. I have observed how she works & how she takes care of this place as if it’s her own. I was truly mesmerized! She shows love & respect & hard work to her work place! She does 3 things at once & does it all with a huge smile ! Every restaurant should have workers like her!! She runs the show!! Food is great service is even better!!!
My wife and I had a wonderful experience thanks to Ragina. She was incredibly attentive, friendly, and professional from the moment we sat down. Even while juggling the phone, take-out orders, and customers walking in, she treated everyone with patience and respect. Our service was fast, smooth, and genuinely warm. Ragina made the whole meal feel easy and enjoyable. She’s a real asset. Highly recommended! BTW, I go to grill point a lot, and evey time Ragina is there I see her doing so much so now I had to write this review.
On my way home to Long Island - I picked up a chicken Shawarma platter and a pound of Humus. The food was delicious! The flavoring was perfect! The young man at the register and the nice man behind the counter were very nice and helpful! I wish I lived closer - Grill Point is always great!
This is a very good authentic Kosher Mediterranean restaurant. The food is great. Very good Turkey/Lamb Shawarma. The place is pretty busy, for a good reason, but it is still possible to get a table. I've been here a couple of times already and am pretty sure will be back again.
What I look for is Service & customer care. And needless to say there is a wonderful young lady, Regina, who does an absolutely amazing job catering to not just mine but everyone's needs. Food is great, place is very welcoming, and I have such pleasure dining there especially when Regina is around!
We had such a wonderful experience at Grill Point! The food was absolutely delicious — everything was fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. From the delicious shawarma to the perfectly seasoned sides, every dish hit the spot. A special shoutout to our waitress, Regina, who truly made our visit exceptional. She was warm, attentive, and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Regina catered to us with such genuine care and professionalism — she made us feel right at home. Grill Point is definitely a place we’ll be coming back to. Great food, great atmosphere, and outstanding service!
Every time i go to grill point, i have an amazing experience. the food, service, and staff are excellent. regina is quick and efficient at her job. she cares about her customers and makes sure everyone leaves satisfied!! the restaurant is well kept and always clean. highly recommend this place !!!
I had an amazing experience at this Mediterranean kosher restaurant in Queens. The food was absolutely delicious - fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it the perfect place to enjoy a meal with friends and family. What really stood out to me was the hospitality. The manager, Regina, went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. She was so attentive, friendly, and made us feel truly welcome. Everything about this place was great, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an outstanding dining experience.
Grill point is the spot to go to for Israeli food. their Shwarma, baby chicken and lamb are always cooked to perfection. Liz always gives us the best service and always makes sure everything is perfect. Great place to eat in or take out and serving sizes are great as well
Amazing food amazing service! Came in for lunch during rush hour, Regina our waitress was wonderful super helpful sweet & kind! The shawarma was absolutely delicious. The portions are big the side salads are the best part! Over all amazing experience!! Will definitely be coming back!!!
This place has been on my list of places to try and I was randomly in the area and it was the perfect opportunity. They have two spinning shawarma's lamb-turkey and baby chicken. I could not decide between the two so I got a combo pita pocket sandwich. The meat was so tasty and tender and the hummus and Israeli salad were awesome. They have some many toppings but it was first time so I went with the safe choices. Next time I am planning on trying the laffa it looked so good and it was large enough to feed two. My order came with a side coleslaw and small order of fries. The service was fast and the staff were polite. Highly recommend!
Food is amazing but for the life of me I can’t figure out why this place consistently runs out of shawarma after 8 pm every night. If demand is there, is it really that difficult to make another batch? Multiple people voice this complaint and I’ve stopped going there altogether for this reason.
Honestly, I was ready to leave a bad review at first, but after actually eating the food, my opinion changed. As for service: the cashier gave me a smile, and that was basically it. I waited almost 20 minutes for my shawarma, and eventually had to get up and stand near the cook just to make sure it would be done faster. But the shawarma itself was really tasty and very filling — no complaints there. They just need to work on their service and speed. Other than that, the food is solid.
Delicious shawarma with an array of different sauces! I had the combination of lamb-turkey and baby chicken shawarma wrapped in laffa. I would definitely recommend this option and fill it with sauces and salads. I got the garlic mayo which was amazing, as well as tabouli, tahini, babaganoush, and Moroccan eggplant. One sandwich is more than enough to fill you up. You can even split a sandwich if you get some sides. We also tried the falafel and the arais. The waitress was very nice and gave us a bunch of extra sauces to dip our meal into on the side. The restaurant is a bit cozy, but fits the family vibe, and they keep it pretty clean. Street parking around the neighborhood.
I used to come here often with my dad when I was young &very ill. I happened to be in the area and popped in to remember the good times and taste the food which I remember being really good and I remember was one of the only places that didn’t make me sick. For starters there is no visible menu displayed, only paper menus so I didn’t know how to order since my dad used to order for me when I was a child. The establishment was nearly empty and there was one person behind me, also waiting to be served right after me. The young man at the register was very pleasant and presented me with the paper menu when he noticed I was confused. I had questions but he ultimately kept insisting I should ask the person on the line putting the food together. When I handed my receipt I expressed to him I hadn’t been there in a long time, so I wasn’t clear in how to order. The man seemed instantly irritated by my question. I asked him what were the options to add into my pita and he made a motion to the toppings on the buffet counter. When I politely asked him what it was he was reluctant to tell me the names and only told me what the items were that I pointed at. The pita comes with a salad, which were pre-packed and not marked. He asked me which salad did I want and I told him I didn’t know since I didn’t know what they were. When I said that, he quickly moved on to preparing the food for the lady standing behind me on line. As I looked at the salad options I noticed most of the salad options seemed to have a small greenish yellow jalapeño in them, but I had never seen them so small and that color before, so I didn’t want to assume since I’ve never seen or tried that kind of food other than when I was younger and my dad would order for me. So I asked if that was a jalapeño and he responded “what does it look like?” With an attitude. So I told him “well you haven’t told me what these are and I can’t eat food that’s too spicy” to which he responded “well they’re jalapeños so of course it’ll be spicy.” So I asked what wasn’t spicy, to which he pointed a the only option. I told him I’ll take that. He quickly tossed the pre-packed red cabbage salad and packed my food in a bag for me to take it and left it on the counter. He quickly proceeded to continue his conversation with the lady behind me who had already fished her order and packed her food. I noticed the distinct demeanor and I told him “I haven’t been here in 10 years. It would be nice if you could be nicer and patient and explain what I’m ordering..” and he walked away towards the register while I was mid sentence. I was very disappointed to see that a fellow Latino would be so impolite. So I spoke to him in Spanish and said “you’re nice to the white lady next to me but you treat me differently and that’s not right” to which he again walked away and left me talking mid sentence. I then quickly grabbed some napkins and left the store. As soon as I walked out of the store he conveniently went back to his post. All in all, I will most definitely not be returning. It was disappointing and disheartening to see how uncomfortable I was made to feel. No good food is worth being made to feel small.
I ordered multiple times a delivery to queens, last couple of times I got soggy burnt fries And old soggy Israeli salad that's been sitting for at least a day. So Disrespectful and just over all not ok to serve to customers that pay good money to support your business. Besides that the shawarma is good and all the other food is great too. But I stopped ordering because of the reasons above unfortunately.
I’m really disappointed with my experience here. I ordered a chicken shawarma in a pita, and when I opened it up, I couldn’t believe that half of the pita was basically empty. There was barely any chicken inside — it felt like I was eating mostly bread. For the price I paid, this was a complete waste of money. Stop being cheap. That’s how you lose customers.
This place has horrible customer service. As an Israeli Jew, I’m genuinely disgusted by the Israeli elderly woman who works there. She is a truly nasty person. Every time I go there, I feel an overwhelming sense of hostility from the staff, and I honestly don’t understand why. I politely told her that my pita had very little meat for the price — $22 for a lamb pita — and she looked me straight in the eyes and rudely said, “You’re going to have to wait, I’m busy,” with a nasty attitude. She then started arguing with me in Hebrew, claiming she has no control over what the workers she manages do. Make that make sense. The way she carries herself is disgusting — zero respect, zero kindness. Not only was she rude to me, but she was also rude to her own employees right in front of customers. On top of that, the last few times I’ve been there, the lamb fat had a strange, unpleasant odor. Overall, a terrible experience every time.
I used to love coming to this place from far away. However, last few times I got disappointed with service and food. The place looks dirty (tables, floors). The employees don't seem to be attentive to clients. Looks like this restaurant is under the new management. I don't like to give bad reviews, but people need to know.
I ordered a shawarma laffa and was really disappointed. They put a very small amount of meat - it felt almost like a vegetarian wrap. Considering the price and what you’d expect from a shawarma, it just wasn’t acceptable. Hope they improve the portions and overall experience.
It was great. I got the mixed grill. I don’t think I ever had such a great mixture of different type of grilled stuff in my whole entire life is a nice way of having a nice dinner with your family.
