We had a wonderful experience at Cattlemen’s Steakhouse in the Stockyards. The atmosphere is exactly what you hope for when dining here — classic, welcoming, and full of Texas charm. The food was excellent, perfectly prepared, and well worth the visit. But what truly made the evening stand out was the service. Hannah was extremely helpful, attentive, and genuinely kind. She made sure everything was just right and took great care of us throughout our meal. We will absolutely be back and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Stockyards.
This was an amazing experience. I grew up here and had never stopped in to eat here. We decided to have our valentine lunch on the 15th. Our server was the best server i have had in awhile, Sabrina, she did a phenomenal job and had an amazing personality. Our food was cooked perfectly. The outside patio id love to come during the week to sit outside while I work, it beautiful. Our reservations was on time. Perfect all the way around and will be back
My wife is a Dallasite (born & raised). She had never been to the Stockyards. We were excited to experience an iconic brand like Cattlmen's together. We ordered the crabcake, spicy bacon wrapped shrimp, salads and filet w/ mashed potatoes. Wow, it did not dissapoint. My wife said that was the best filet she can remember having. The service was outstanding! We had a reservation. If you can get one, it is always a good idea to have a reservation here.
We had a wonderful experience here. The food and drinks were delicious and our server was excellent, attentive and had great recommendations when asked. The new patio and outdoor space is very nice also. Even the booth seats were comfortable. We had the calamari for an appetizer and it was the best we have ever had; seasoned perfectly with a light batter and not chewy in the least. We had a late lunch on a Saturday and the place was very busy and yet we still had timely service. For reference, I had chicken fried cobb salad and my husband had a ribeye. We will definitely be back.
From start to finish we had a great dining experience!!! I have been fortunate enough to have dined at several high end steakhouses all over the u.s and this was hands down the best steak i’ve ever had… and with drinks and appetizers we shocked when the bill came in was very reasonable.. Can’t wait to come again!!!!
Cattlemen’s Steak House It was busy outside, but we were seated in under an hour with a text update. Even dining after 8ish pm, the restaurant didn’t feel crowded, which was a nice surprise. Our server (name sadly forgotten) was genuinely lovely. The food was excellent and I appreciated the proper kids’ menu (up to age 12) — the kids had steak and chips, with generous portions, free refills, and surprisingly good value for the price. We ordered steaks too, including the Stockman sirloin, and everything was cooked just right. A relaxed, enjoyable late dinner and a great choice in the Stockyards.
We had a reservation and didn’t have to wait to be seated. Before dinner we arrived early and spent some time in the outdoor bar where we were served perfectly prepared drinks. Three minutes before our reservation time we were sent a text telling us our table was ready. Our server (Cera) was extraordinary, making sure everything was perfect as our dinner progressed. She made excellent suggestions and helped in every way imaginable. Upper management (Megan and Fernando) were also very focused on our dining experience, as well. We have been diners at Cattleman’s since we were kids and had finally made time to go back after the major renovation. Beautiful and stylish are words that come to mind when reflecting on the decor and overall impression of the outdoor bar and dining room. How refreshing to have so many people concerned about our experience. We look forward to returning in the near future and hope our new friend, Cera, will be a part of our future dining experiences. Thanks again to Megan and Fernando for their amazing eye for detail as it is apparent that the customers entire dining experience is paramount to every employee of this establishment. Welcome back, Cattleman’s. Well done!!
Out in Dallas for a couple days made reservations at the Cattlemen’s and was not disappointed. We started with the Spinach Artichoke Dip then Salad With Rolls and on to the main course 6666 NY Strip! Boom it was delicious cooked to perfection as ordered very well seasoned. Service was beyond outstanding! Helpful Friendly and Polite. Made us feel very welcome and appreciated! Thank you to the staff for a Great Meal♥️
Cattlemen’s Steakhouse was absolutely outstanding. My husband and I have travelled across six states on our honeymoon and this dinner was hands down our favourite meal of the entire trip. We ordered the tomahawk steak with lobster tail, broccoli and mushrooms, and every element was exceptional. The steak was cooked to absolute perfection—even for a very fussy steak eater—and packed with incredible flavour. The lobster was divine and paired beautifully with the sides. Our drinks were also served perfectly and complemented the meal well. We sat outside near the bar, where the heaters kept the area warm and comfortable, creating a relaxed yet vibrant atmosphere. From the food to the setting, everything exceeded expectations. We will 100% be back. An unforgettable dining experience and a must-visit for anyone who appreciates exceptional steak and service.
We had an incredible experience at Cattleman’s Steakhouse in Fort Worth! We started with the onion rings, steak tartare, and calf fries — all amazing. Our 45oz tomahawk was cooked perfectly, and the sides (mashed potatoes, fried mushrooms, elote corn, baked potatoes, and side salads) were all delicious. The desserts were fantastic, lots of great drink selections, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the service went above and beyond. Highly recommend for a memorable dining experience!
I wish I got more photos, but I was overwhelmed by the ambiance of it all. We sat on the patio, and the atmosphere was just beautiful. The lighting was dark and moody, it really felt like an intimate setting. The food was phenomenal. One of the best steaks I've ever had. The waitress, Amy, was so knowledgeable about the menu. I am very picky about wine, and she was very helpful suggesting one to my palate. Over all, it was a wonderful experience.
Celebrated my twin girls 17th birthday. Food was amazing, and Christina provided us with true Cattleman's style service. I'd definitely recommend requesting her to take care of you when dining here. One of the servers was even kind enough to stop and discuss her curly hair with my other daughter. Thank you giving my girls a birthday they won't forget!
This was my first time at cattlemen steakhouse in Fort Worth.. We made a reservation and were seated as soon as we walked in. Our waitress was Nicole, she went over the menu and the background of the restaurant. She was very helpful..🙏 Our appetizer was the crispy, bacon wrapped shrimp ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ For dinner, I had lobster tails asparagus ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ My boyfriend had a steak not sure what kind. I’m not really a steak person. But I I did taste it and it was excellent.👌🏽⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Everything came out steaming hot. 🔥That was the most impressive thing of all 😀 my baked potato was loaded and everything melted right into the potato now that’s how a baked potato is supposed to be. Yes, it was expensive but totally worth it. Honestly, I can’t wait to go back👌🏽
We visited Cattleman’s for the first time on Sunday, 9/14. We’ve lived in Fort Worth for about 6 years now, and I wish we hadn’t waited so long! Our server was Stanley, who was kind, prompt and provided wonderful service! The food was fantastic - we had the braised short rib, ribeye, and a few of the sides. Everything was delicious! The tropical/citrus (?) margarita was my favorite! My children enjoyed their food (from the kids menu) as well. The new patio is BEAUTIFUL! We’ll be back very soon!
It has been about 10 years since I had visited Cattlemen’s. We were headed to a different restaurant and circumstances had us changing plans and heading to Cattlemen’s. I have to say I was super impressed. It was so much better than it was in both the food and atmosphere. We started with a stack of crispy coated thick sliced onion rings that were cooked perfectly. Our steak was cooked exactly as specified. The blue cheese wedge salad was divine and I was even impressed with the wagyu meatballs that were tender and spicy with the sauce. Our server Paulo was nice and gave us information about the updates the new Managment team had completed. When the weather is right the outside patio is going to be packed!
Cattleman's Steakhouse in the Fort Worth Stockyards isn't just a meal; it's an experience, and a truly 5-star one at that! From the moment we stepped through the doors, we were met with an atmosphere that perfectly blended classic Texas charm with a wonderfully fresh and updated feel. It's clear that the management here is top-notch, as every detail, from the decor to the pristine cleanliness, spoke of a well-run establishment. But what truly sets Cattleman's apart is its staff. "Professional" doesn't even begin to cover it. Our server was incredibly knowledgeable, attentive without being intrusive, and genuinely seemed to enjoy making our dining experience exceptional. Every member of the team we encountered, from the host to the bus staff, operated with a seamless efficiency and polite demeanor that is rarely seen these days. It’s a testament to outstanding training and a positive work environment. And of course, the food was absolutely delicious – perfectly cooked steaks, incredible sides, and a dessert that was the ideal cap to the evening. It's evident that the recent updates aren't just cosmetic; they've clearly invested in ensuring the entire operation, including the kitchen, is running at peak performance, delivering fresh, high-quality dishes. If you're looking for an unforgettable dining experience in Fort Worth, where the food is superb, the ambiance is inviting and fresh, and the staff embodies the very definition of professionalism and efficiency, look no further than Cattleman's Steakhouse. They've truly mastered the art of hospitality, and we can't wait to return!

Best steak around. The bone in ribeye was cooked to perfection staff was top notch couldn’t ask for better service. Great location in the stockyards.
We could not have been happier with our experience here. The waitress was excellent. The steak was delicious. The ambience was pure Texas. Even the salad was good. Would highly recommend.
Cattlemen’s Steakhouse is a must-visit in the Fort Worth Stockyards. I love the Stockyards, and this spot captures the true “Cowtown” spirit with its nod to the cattlemen of the old days. The atmosphere is classic and fun—yes, a little touristy—but that’s part of the charm. The steaks are always excellent, cooked just right, and full of flavor. It’s also a great place if you just want a quick salad or if you’re ready to let your inner carnivore take over. Consistent food, great vibes, and a perfect taste of Fort Worth history.
Went here for lunch with my dad. This restaurant is tastefully decorated in a western motif. We had lunch at the bar since it was a 25 minute wait for a table. The bartender was very helpful and made grest suggestions. I had the steak salad which was very good along with homemade cornbread and biscuit. The only fault here is it took an hour and a half. It was apparent that the kitchen was slow to prep and get the food out.

We have been going to Cattleman’s for years, way before it became what it is now. We were excited to come and celebrate my 3 year old Granddaughter's birthday today and made a reservation to enjoy the day and the stockyards for her birthday. We arrived on time and I had messaged them prior to arrival that we had 2 more of my grandchildren joining us. We arrived on time and I was speaking with the hostess regarding the adjustment and she absolutely was the most arrogant young lady. She had an attitude and was completely annoyed when I was trying to discuss options. I realize additions to reservation can be challenging if it is adults but a 5 and 6 year old? After trying to tell her we would just add a chair and let squeeze them in she acted even more annoyed. The hostess stand is the FIRST representation of a facility. They are the director of first impressions and should smile and atleast act like they like their jobs. She then made us wait an extra 30 minutes, I am sure to try to prove her point of annoyance. Our waitress was an absolute jewel and our food was perfect. The waitress made our little birthday celebration amazing. I run a lot businesses and I hate giving poor reviews, but the hostess stand at a well known steakhouse should be exemplary and this young lady was not. Hoping this will help develop a team of hostesses who don’t whisper to each other or give side eye to customers when trying to accommodate them but instead accommodate with a smile.
1st time dining here! Loved the scenery, atmosphere and decorative style. But must say you can definitely tell they do not hire thickies! Was taken back by that! 🤭🤐 My food was good but for the price I was expecting to be wow’d! I’ll let you make your own decisions on that! 🤭 However, great experience and maybe go back idk. But I knew I had to try it for once in my life 🤠

The atmosphere was great. The rest of our experience, not so much. The steaks were overcooked and had wayyyyy too much pepper. Now I love some pepper, but this was insane. We ordered a 14oz ribeye, it was small and very thin. We also had Mac and cheese, the Mac and cheese was really lacking in flavor and the pepper on that was also just ridiculous. For the price and quality, we likely wouldn’t come back. The servers kept switching, we didn’t see the same server twice and it was a bit strange. Overall, the experience was very nice, but the food was mid.
As a Fort Worth Native this restaurant is nostalgic for me. When I was younger, this was our special-occasion restaurant. We decided to dine here on Christmas Eve for our family Christmas dinner. I saw someone with a fillet, and it looked divine! I ordered one, and mine looked like it was carved from a piece of sirloin, with a thickness of 1/4 of an inch. Keep in mind, this fillet was claimed to be from Taylor Sheridan’s Ranch. It was tough and looked like something that should have been fashioned into a Salisbury steak rather than served as a fillet. The side salad was delicious, the onion rings were a great appetizer, and my drink, the blackberry mule, was probably one of the best cocktails I have ever had. The patio extension is gorgeous, and I would recommend grabbing a cocktail and an appetizer here. I WOULD NOT recommend eating a main meal here. I appreciate that Sheridan revamped a Fort Worth staple, but the food quality just isn't there for me.
The service was so poor here that it is hard to believe it has been open for so long. The wait once we were seated was 20 minutes for our server to bring us water. The salads were nasty but the bak…

Atmosphere was the only positive experience. Visited here from out of town looking forward to this “iconic” restaurant. I had a small hair in my mashed potatoes, my friend had a large hair in her baked potato. The waitress was super nice to take them both back, she informed the manager and he never came over. Ordered the steak medium, not it. If you come here just get drinks and listen to live music.
I drove about 45 minutes to Cattleman’s Steakhouse to give it a second chance after seeing it featured on Landman and to evaluate it as a potential spot for a dinner for my wife and 16 of her friends. I asked about reserving a table or room for 18, and the manager immediately said they couldn’t accommodate that size and would have to split us across multiple tables. There was no effort to suggest alternatives, discuss pricing, or offer any creative solution, which told me right away they weren’t interested in earning a large, high‑spend reservation. I sat at the bar, ordered an Old Fashioned and then a Macallan 25, and asked for a filet mignon cooked medium rare. About 20 minutes later the bartender finally put my order in, clapping his hands like it was an afterthought. When the steak arrived 10–15 minutes after that, it was shocking: completely burned on the outside and very red inside, nowhere near a proper medium rare. I’ve eaten steaks all over the world ( Dubai, Qatar, Italy, South America, New York, California) and I have never been served a steak this poorly cooked. Even my worst attempts at cooking a steak at home look better than what I was given here. The bartender offered to remake it, but I was already late for a meeting. A manager then offered to comp the steak, which I declined because I wasn’t looking for a free meal; I wanted them to understand how bad the experience was so they could improve. Sadly, between unhelpful management, slow service and a ruined steak, this is not a place I would ever choose again I’d much rather go to The Hotel Drover or The Capital Grille for a properly cooked steak and professional service. Picture attached speak for itself.
