Great atmosphere, Great Karaoke on Fridays, I've never done karaoke, but did when I was there bc it was so easy. And not intimidating. Go have some fun at Shaws.
Solid burger with perfect service. My waiter was super attentive and he even brought my dog water and a treat. I got sweet potato fries and they didn't skimp at all. If you're in the mood for burgers this place is solid.
This was our first visit and we Loved the atmosphere. Showed up to live music and sat out on patio. We were greated by our server, Jeff who provided the most exceptional service from start to finish. His cheerful demeanor brightened our evening. Drinks and food phenomenal.
If you're ever in the Magnolia area or the medical district, do yourself a favor and stop on by and have a seat on the patio (weather permitting). Jeff is A1. He's really a class act. Phenomenal service and very entertaining. You will not be disappointed. Give that man a raise.
We chose a new place for date night and loved the laid-back vibe that Shaw's Patio and Grill offered. We sat outside on the patio where we ate dinner and enjoyed drinks, while listening to the live band. Patrons are also allowed to bring their fur babies onto the patio, which was super cool! We truly enjoyed this place.
Tried this restaurant on a Friday around 1p with a large group of people, and we were seated in the heated, covered patio. Despite the HUGE group of people, I cannot commend our server enough for being attentive and diligent. I got the Mexican orange Fanta and Trail Boss burger, cooked medium well. It was DELICIOUS and composed of a perfect blend of ingredients: Bison patty, lettuce, tomatoes, Cabernet grilled onions, American cheese and Bleu cheese mayonaise. Would definitely come again to try more burgers and other foods!
Great patio space and bar space with seating to dine in also. Live music options. Great tappers and a really good drink selection overall. They have a great menu although I didn't eat this time, but just enjoyed the bar area. Check these guys out for their live music schedule and drink specials
The club sandwich was awesome. Onion Rings are crunchy and delicious. My wife had a bacon burger and said it did not have much flavor. French fries are crinkle cut and hot!
In looking for a new spot to try out in south Fort Worth, my friend and I agreed to try Shaw's, and what a great choice! It's been some time, so I can't recall whether we made it on time for happy hour, but I would have ordered the watermelon margarita nonetheless. We started off with the nachos as an appetizer, and they were generous with the toppings, which was well appreciated. She and I both got the cheeseburger with fries, and I from the sight alone I knew we were in for crispy and well-made crinkle fries. The burgers themselves were great, and even with the drinks and app, the price was still comfortable for all that we got. I'm due for a return soon, for sure! Edit: Since this review, I discovered Trivia Tuesdays. Though Shaw's was great enough as it was, this event alone makes it one of my and my friends' favorite places in Fort Worth. The happy hour is also always worth the visit!
It is enjoyable to support this Texas Wesleyan University Alumni run business. The fried green beans were tasty and a huge portion. The cheeseburger and the Big Tex burger were great! And the Big Tex did have a good kick of heat! The Greek salad with added chicken was excellent. Flavor of the chicken was good, it was served cold on top of the salad. The salad dressing was served on the side. I can’t wait to come back and listen to some bands while eating.
Had an amazing time. Went early on a Thursday. The patio is spacious and lovely. The food was really good. I ordered a margarita flight, and asked her to choose which ones for me. I had an original, mango, passionfruit and watermelon. All of which were soooo good. 😍😍 10/10 would recommend
They allow dogs on their patio! That, along with friendly and engaging service, convinced us to visit twice during our recent visit to Fort Worth. They have bar-and-grill style food - the selection and quality met our expectations. Service was friendly - it was hot during our visit, the staff brought water for our dogs and were happy to bring added vegetables we could share with them while we ate. They can be a little slow when they really get busy but we were there to enjoy an evening rather than get in and out, especially as the sun set and the evening started cooling down. Definitely on our list for our next visit!
My roommate and I saw that they had brunch when we walked by on super bowl Sunday and decided to try it out. Glad we did. The service was great the food was wonderful. I love the outside patio. I ordered the Portobello Benedict which was delicious. The poached eggs were cooked to perfection. The pesto cream was wonderful. The fresh fruit 🍓 was sweet fresh and amazing. The applewood bacon was mouth watering. The only thing I didn't like was the texture of the mushroom. Which is my problem not theirs. I'm not big on cooked mushrooms but I'd give it a world even though I've never had Portobello mushrooms. But over all it's a great place. Love the food the staff. The atmosphere. I like this place. There is a patio for when the weather is nice. They have a brunch menu and regular menu. I like the atmosphere. Just a casual place with good drinks
Nice place. Clean. Large portions of food.... the bar was our highlight. Try the Raspberry Lemon Drop shot....GREAT FLAVOR. This place is like one of those hidden gems. Really nice staff.
We had a waitress who constantly kept checking on us but, it was a pretty dead night so I do not know how it might be if the place was really busy. I am certain it probably got busier after we left as they do karaoke and there was a crowd starting to build. The food is your usual burger joint type and while it was good overall, it was still just a burger joint. The price was reasonable though I thought kind of high but that could be because of where it was located. I would definitely go there again but not if I was expecting a really great meal
Really good quality food and very clean inside. Servers are kind and welcoming. I do have a criticism: they reeeealy want you to sit on the patio. They’ve concentrated their servers on the outdoor sections and neglected the bar. One bartender is not enough. They’re far too busy keeping up with orders from the tables to actually serve the bar. If you want people to sit outside so badly, you have to have a way to keep them cool. We’re in a sun-bleached dusty southern town here and it’s 101 degrees. It’s not pleasant out there. Add a 2nd bartender inside for weekend peak times if at all possible.
Went for lunch during Spring Break and it was great! Nice patio area and service was great. My kids enjoyed their food too so that’s a plus! Only complaint is the nachos came with lettuce on top but that wasn’t listed on the menu so my daughters had to pick it off…they ordered them with chicken & cheese only and jalapeños on the side.
2 Stars just to be kind… this establishment has gone so far downhill I don’t think we’ll be back. I used to LOVE Shaw’s! The menu is just sad now, the food low quality, and the vibe in here is like an expensive dive bar with the appetizers costing as much as entire entrees. It’s just a shame. $40 for two chicken salad sandwich lunches and one root beer… and it was just gross 😮💨 I also had to change my baby in the booth so I wouldn’t have to do it on the bathroom floor…..during lunch
This was one of my favorite places to visit for a quick drink and good food, but in the last several months, weird things are happening. They were preaching bible verses loudly on the patio and the bartender left a bible verse on my receipt that was vaguely homophobic. Never coming here again.
Well if you like your money being stolen , being overcharged on a receipt for a tip that you did not leave this is the place for you !!!!! Please be aware I visited this establishment with my grand children and daughter yesterday afternoon . I did not plan to leave a review of the horrible food which was watered down salsa I received . However the manager comped the salsa and I only paid for the soda which was $2.80. I left a $3 top for the waitress to only wake up this morning and see that she added herself an extra tip of $2 more dollars totaling $5. Which in turn brought my tab out to $7.80. I have not ever experienced this before and I have included the receipt which is the customers copy here for your review !
