Wonderful little cafe in Redwood Shores! Good selection of dim sum, which brought back childhood memories. A little bit of a wait for food when they are busy, but great service! Loved their sticky rice roll, it was huge!

Enjoyed relaxed and friendly atmosphere there. The owners are very nice and the place is cosy and inviting. There were some table games on the shelf in case someone wants to play. Also the prices are not breaking your budget at the same time food is delicious. Will come here again with my family.

Got an ube boba milk tea here! Ube is not yet a very commonly available flavor for boba so it's great that they are offering it. The ube flavor was good although I think it was made with green jasmine tea because I could taste something floral. Next time I will try to request it to be made with black tea since I prefer that. 😁 I have since also tried their bibimbap (pretty good, ample heat but needs more complex spices in the gochujang sauce, I think), the cheesecake (very light, not too sweet, but has a very strong cheese flavor, more than most American cheesecakes), and the strawberry mousse cake (also very light, not too sweet, and just delicious). I have also tried the Okinawa boba (which is tea-free, and therefore caffeine-free!) and it was great for a late afternoon pick-me-up.

food tastes like good quality ingredients, staff is very courteous and Im glad there is a restaurant in walking distance of where people work and live. Tried their milk tea its nothing special.

This little cafe is an amazing hidden gem in redwood shores with outdoor seating. The staff there is so friendly and welcoming too. 1)LUNCH: They offer yummy Asian items such as chicken katsu, japchae, and beef bibimbap -- I've tried all 3 and the food tastes really healthy, delicious and homemade. 2)AFTERNOON TEA: In the afternoons they recently started to offer AMAZING desserts, along with boba milk teas. I loved the passionfruit mango tea w/boba, and I've tried their strawberry & fig cake and their Oreo cake --they taste absolutely delicious. 2) CUSTOM CAKES: One of the owners is a pastry chef and makes custom-ordered cakes for special occasions. We ordered a birthday cake and we were really blown away by how beautiful, delicious and healthy it tasted! The cake was light, freshly made, not overly sweet -- this is coming from a person who avoids cakes from the supermarket chains because it's all too overly sweet for me. And it was stuffed w/fresh fruits that were in season --blueberries, strawberries, mango, dragonfruit and more! PRO TIP: You'll probably need to visit the cafe in person and talk to the owner if you want to place an order! Sharing some additional photos of other cakes she's made for other clients, she's been getting a lot of orders for birthday cakes

Updated Summer 2024 - Has another party this summer and I literally ordered a cake 3 days before our party and they came through with this super adorable Cinnamoroll cake that’s Oreo flavored- my daughter and her dads favorite! Summer 2023: I hosted a half birthday party for my 2 kids and asked if the can create a pool party themed half cake and the turned out great! Always delicious and great service! Their earl gray tea cheese cake is amazing too! Cakes: white cake with Oreo & chocolate cake with caramel

Lian is amazing. The cake was beyond what i expected. Looked great and tasted great. Ordering was super comvenient and my vision was translated. One minor complaint was that the purple oxidized overnight into a little blue on the cake. But still stunning cake. Thank you, Lian. Ill order again.

Found this place via Asian mom group in search of the perfect birthday cake for my baby's 1st birthday and this place was the best! Best priced and everyone complimented the taste (perfect ratio of the right amount of sweetness) and how cute it is! We're based in SoCal and the owner was super flexible and responded via text and sent a google form for my catering request. They do text late sometimes so better to order in person or call if you have the time. We paid over phone or you can pay in person when you pick up. Multiple friends, family and family friends asked about our cake and I happily gave the recommendation and address of this place. Thank you!! Will order again in the future!

Sweet U Cafe has some amazing food and friendly service. We came in for just a coffee and ended up ordering the chicken katsu Sandwich and shrimp dumplings. The food and drinks were delicious, I am definitly coming back here!

Got an amazing cake (both taste and look) with a reasonable price even after we changed order requirements a few times. The staff was super friendly and took all our requests for cake's looks. Asked for a "cake topped with mountains in sunset and waves below” with pictures and it came out quite similar to the example cake pic sent. And we booked just 2 days before the celebration and we’re lucky that they put us in. The taste was great for our Asian tastebuds - animal fat cream, super fresh; red velvet cake that wasn’t too sweet, and the strawberry mousse filling was delicious. Price for customized cake was also lower than other bakeries. Would hugely recommend!!

Ordered birthday cake. Met my expectations. Tasty and beautifully-decorated. For some, the cake might be underwhelming because it’s not sickeningly-sweet and rich. The flavors I got were vanilla with mango mousse filling, chocolate with oreo cream, and earl gray with chestnut paste. I’d order from here again 😁

We love our little community Sweet U cafe. Kid friendly, has games and cards, kids come to drink boba and have snacks with friends. Their entrees are great too! We order everything from the menu, and their catering trays are such a deal. Very close and convenient for gatherings.

A favorite for our family, excellent service, food, atmosphere and fun for the kids. Highly recommend! My grandchildren love their bobas!

Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love their cakes, drinks and foods! Unfortunately, there was this one incident that made me become very cautious every time I ordered here. I ordered a Chicken-Katsu (sorry if I spelt that wrong) with rice. And when I got it to go and left to my house I discovered (WHILST EATING) that the chicken was bare raw in the middle! I was completely shocked and utterly appalled. Other than that incident every time I have ordered from this place I have gotten excellent results. I’d like to specially say that their popcorn chicken is divine and out of this world good! Their cakes are beautiful and taste wonderful, I’ve even ordered some for birthday parties! The cake is such a soft mouth full and their frosting is sweetly perfect giving so much flavor to the cake. Their decorations are on a different level, in a positive light you can see their dedication and love they put into their food!
