Exploring Yummy Noodle: A New Hand-Pulled Noodle restaurant in Fountain Valley Just a few streets away from my friend’s house in Fountain Valley, a new Lanzhou hand-pulled noodle restaurant called Yummy Noodle has opened about three months ago. Being a noodle lover, I decided to gather some friends and check it out. At Yummy Noodle, you can choose from three types of noodles: hand-pulled (fresh), knife shaved, and wide noodles. I went with the wide one for my Dan-Dan noodle, and I have to say, the texture was just perfect—chewy and satisfying. Our group of four ordered a variety of dishes, and overall, we enjoyed our order, especially considering the reasonable prices. However, I wouldn't recommend the Shanghai juicy dumplings, as they were quite average. what we ordered: - **Lanzhou Hand-Pulled Noodles ($15.49)**: Two of my friends chose the fresh hand-pulled noodles. They both loved how the noodles paired with the flavorful broth and the six slices of beef. - **Dan Dan Noodle ($12.99)**: The flavor was great, the portion was generous, and it wasn't spicy at all, which was a plus for me. - **Spicy Wontons in Chili Oil (10 pieces, $9.99)**: These were small in size but tasty, and the chili oil wasn’t too spicy, which made it quite enjoyable. - **Steamed Chicken ($9.99)**: I liked it and ordered an extra to-go and pair with some sliced cucumber. - **Shanghai Soup Dumplings (8 pieces, $11.99)**: These were pretty average and didn't taste handmade, so I wouldn't recommend this one. The dining space is quite spacious, and the food came out quickly. The staff was friendly and could speak Chinese and English, which made ordering easy. Given that there aren't many places like this around the area, I've already made a return visit! 📍Yummy Noodle 9965 Ellis Ave, Fountain Valley, CA 92708

Went to this place for the first time a couple of weeks ago. We were enticed by the hand made noodles in house which you don't get to see very often around these parts. Service was quick and very friendly. The food came out super fast. We had a little of everything, from dumplings, to fried rice to beef noodle soup. Everything was fantastic! We will definitely be back and highly encourage you to do the same! OH! THE SCALLION PANCAKES ARE DELICIOUS!

I like the food here, tried the 2nd time on 8/21 evening. The handmade noodle texture is really good, we ordered the spicy beef wide noodle, the dandan handpulled noodle with a spicy wonton side dish. I’ll try the knife shaved noodle next time. Service is good and tentative, the 2 ladies were welcoming and helpful. The place is new and clean, you can see the kitchen staff handmaking the noodle.

Wow, true fresh hand made noodles, they literally sliced the noodles right in front of you, and it taste superb. This is the freshest hand made noodles in OC. We tried the following dishes: 1. Chong Qing Style Spicy Noodles with knife shaved type noodles ~ the flavor of the broth was very rich with a little spice numbing kick to it, I love it, the noodles were so fresh and chewy, you can taste the freshness in every bite!! 2. Shanghai Juicy Dumplings ~ my kids loved it so much we ended up ordering 4 orders. Yes 4 orders of it and they finished it all !! The dumplings was that good, even though the skin was not as thin as DTF but it's up there!! 3. Spicy Wontons ~ I honestly think that this is one of the best spicy wontons around, it's smaller in size but the taste is very well balanced, they seasoned it very nicely!! 4. Beef Wrap ~ the roll is huge and it's very nicely seasoned with sesame oil and the beef is very well marinated and with the right amount of sweet bean sauce too!! 5. Veggie Spring Rolls ~ perfect food for kids to enjoy churchy skin with veggies inside 6. Fried Shrimp ~ typical tempura shrimp YES, 100% we'll definitely be back to try other dishes, the price is very very reasonable and the quality of the food was top notch!! If your into fresh noodles and juicy dumplings, this place is a must to try!!!

This is a hidden gem! Stopping here for some Chinese food but didn’t expect they had such good handpulled noodles. The lanzhou noodle is definitely a must try if you come alone and can eat spicy. They do the handpull/knife cut noodle show behind the glass kitchen. The noodle texture was very nice. Appetizers are good too. Servers can speak good English and Chinese.

When we first arrived, we were seated immediately. The menu was very clear and easy to read. Our food arrived quickly and the complimentary green tea was refreshing. In the spicy beef soup. the beef was very tender and the knife cut noodles were perfect. The cucumber salad paired with the beef roll was TOO GOOD. For a party of 4, we were satisfied with 2 entrees and 2 appetizers. I can't wait to go again.

07/25 They're back open! 03/25 Restaurant has been closed since end of 2024. 10/24 Fast food restaurant-like interior with bare concrete floors. Freshly-made, hand-pulled noodles being made behind the glass divider wall. Food has a good taste versus many American-Chinese restaurants for the authentic flavor. That said, it's not a full-on Chinese restaurant, so temper expectations. For example, special combo chow mein was flavorful and tasty, but skimping a bit on the quantity of vegetables and meats. You can add extra bok choy, if you want. Or Chinese pancakes. Yummy, but there's local alternatives that have bigger servings. Dumplings and Chinese pancakes were perfectly fine and tasty. Chow mein a touch on the saltier side, so ask to adjust the amount of sauce if you prefer.

I appreciate the free hot tea. It was fun sitting at the bar and watching them throw the noodle. The broth was very cilantro heavy for the Lan Zhou. The flank steak was cooked perfectly and very tender. I would describe it at refreshing. Chong Qing was very peanut heavy and the oils on top made it taste very rich. The dumplings were fantastic. Very juicy, sweet, and tender. They almost melt in your mouth. Overall, we are both very happy with the dishes. I do wish they had more diversity in the soup section because they didn't have any chicken soups and mainly just beef. I also would love to see tantanmen on the menu since they also have dandan

Today is the second day of opening, I caught up with it. What a luck. I ordered a basket of Shanghai buns, the meat is fresh and elastic, and the soup is fresh. Very delicious. I also ordered a bowl of spicy beef noodles. The noodles are handmade on the spot, and the chef is very professional.

True to its name, yummy fresh hand made noodles and onion cake. The beef noodle soup was delicious and had the right amount of spiciness without being too salty. The Shanghai dumplings were flavorful with a small amount of broth in the dumpling. Restaurant was clean. The only negative I can think of is the service was a bit spotty. They didn’t refill our waters and forgot to give us ginger to go with the dumplings

By far one of the best noodle shops I've been to in the past couple of years. Let me start off by saying my family, especially my son loves noodles. We've tried a lot of noodle shops ranging from LA to OC and so far, Yummy Noodle ranks 1st for our family. We were seated quickly and service was excellent. The food came out quick, hot, and fresh. Everything was super flavorful and tasty. The ambiance is really nice too, the kids loved seeing the chefs behind the counter hand-pulling and hand-cutting all the noods, it was a great experience. We ordered: Lan Zhou noodle soup - 5 stars, I can eat this bowl on a daily basis. Steamed chicken - LOVED the sauce, sweet and spicy, but not too spicy, perfectly balanced. Veggie spring rolls - Bigger than most eggrolls you get at other restaurants, very flavorful and came out steaming hot. Beef wrap - OMG!!! the first beef wrap I ordered where they gave more beef rather than spring onions and cilantro. Xiaolongbao - Goodbye DTF, hello Yummy Noodle. Finally, I can get my high quality XLB while the kids enjoy a hearty bowl of noodles!!! Overall, if you haven't tried Yummy Noodle yet, then you're missing out. Make sure to visit this place you won't regret it. Best of all, the pricing is super affordable, I was very surprised when I saw their pricing, for the quality and quantity of food, you can't beat it.

Leo is hands down the most professional and fun waiter I’ve ever met. He’s full of energy and took great care of us. His sense of humor had our whole family laughing non-stop. Thanks to him, we had an amazing dinner experience. We’ll definitely be back, and if you ever come here, make sure to chat with Leo! Thank you Leo. You made my day!

Great service. The chicken fried rice and beef chow mein was AMAZING. Didn’t love the dim sum but I think it’s cause we ordered the wrong one, so that was our fault. And the egg drop soup didn’t have a strong flavor. But still giving 5 stars cause the fried rice and chow mein were THAT GOOD.

Great place to grab lunch with friends and family. Since the place is fairly new, there isn't a wait and there's plenty of parking in the plaza. The service is quick and friendly. Would highly recommend getting their refreshing cucumber salad and brisket noodle soup with knife shaved noodles. The knife shaved noodles is chewier and offers a new added texture to the classic dish.

My group and I were craving noodles and we came across Yummy Noodle. The Dan-dan noodles were delicious, the Szechuan pepper left a lingering spice! The scallion oil noodles were chewy and flavorful, but my favorite was the beef wrap. It had the perfect ratio of beef to cilantro, and the sauce on the beef gave it a slight spice. Very flavorful as well! Definitely recommend giving it a try. I know we’ll be back to try the rest of the items on the menu.

There is much that is good about it, onion cake is thin and crispy, the Dan Dan noodles are also very good. On the other hand, Kung Pao Chicken does not benefit from sugar. Please consider returning this dish to its traditional preparation- spicy, salty, possibly numbing, possibly a little sour, but please, not sweet!

Terrible service 😞 I have ordered and chosen to picked my food up several times there, and nobody gave my food when my food was packed and ready. The waiters won't provide any service even informing your food is ready, just because you are to go and you didn't give them any tips. Won't come again no matter how good the food this restaurant provid.

I was excited for this place to open back up, but the quality of the food was really lacking. Soup dumplings were dry and looked and tasted overprocessed. I also tried the shumai, but is was very chunky and tough. I can get better quality dimsum frozen in the grocery store. I decided to cut my losses and eat next door instead of try anything else.
