Incredible gluten free tortellini!!! Waitress was so kind about my allergies to double check with the kitchen. Beautiful pasta, couldn’t stop raving about it as I ate. Friends loved their stuffed chicken & pizza as well. Would’ve loved to try it if I could’ve but the pasta was fantastic!
At only 10 minutes from The Outpost, the newly opened Pi Social is a hip restaurant featuring American cuisine. Located inside Grand Central at Milam, which is a new and cool small shopping area, this slick restaurant has something for everyone. What’s really cool about this area is the great outdoor space where kids can play, and adults can lounge. In fact, while we were there, they played E.T. on the big screen in the outdoor theater! For an appetizer we had the Caprese, a delicious plate of fresh Mozzarella, fried green tomatoes, fresh basil, and sweet drop peppers. For drinks I had the Gold Rush, which was a mix of Maker’s Mark Bourbon, lemon & honey. My wife had the G Wagon, a cocktail of Enchanted Rock Vodka, blueberry, mint, lemon, and sparkling wine. Super tasty drinks! Last, but not least, was our well-prepared Rustic Pi, which was a combo of Mozzarella, Sausage, Pepperoni, Prosciutto -- what a great pizza! You definitely have to check out this super cool restaurant! Salute!!
We tried the flatbread pizza, chicken carbonara, chicken sandwich, and some cocktails and EVERYTHING was fantastic! While the vibe inside is closer to a sports bar than a romantic restaurant, we still felt like it was significantly more special than your average casual dinner spot. Service was excellent as well, quick turnarounds and tons of communication from our waitress! We'll be back!
Made a reservation for 4 for an indoor table. Got there a few minutes early and our table was ready. We ordered 2 pepperoni 12 in pizzas , 1/2 &1/2 wings, peach & prosciutto pizza and blueberry cheesecake. We ordered a couple of drinks (almost the price of a flatbread) and everything was good! I can not stress to start out with the blueberry cobbler cheesecake! We came home with a whole pizza!
We had a fantastic experience at Pi Social in Fredericksburg! We had a reservation to dine inside, but the outdoor patio looked like a great option too — relaxed and inviting. The atmosphere was fun and lively, and the service was exceptional from start to finish. My sister and I shared the B&B (not pictured) and the Hog Pi, and both were absolutely delicious — fresh ingredients, bold flavors, and perfectly cooked crust. Highly recommend if you're looking for a great meal in a laid-back setting. We'll definitely be back!
On a recommendation from a winery host, we booked a reservation for Pi Social. Amazing recommendation. We were seated right away, beverage orders taken, and dining recommendations made from our waiter. He was awesome. Our dishes were a variety of selections and fabulous. There was no room for dessert. We can only assume it would be as great as the meal.
The chicken stuffed with chorizo was spectacular. Wonderful flavors all came together to make an exceptional dish. My mother ordered a dish which was way too spicy for her and they immediately changed it out for something with no spice and had her fresh hot meal replaced within 10 minutes! The manager Taylor was so friendly and went above and beyond to make our dining experience great. Our server Audrey so nice and attentive. We ate inside but the outdoor patio looks amazing. We will definitely be back and bring our friends and family!
Divine. Seriously- it was divine. I had the Hawaiian Pulled Pork Pi and the combination of flavors was amazing. On any regular day, it might have been the best pizza of the year. On this particular day though, my friend got the Peach & Prosciutto Pi and I’m about to drool just thinking about it. I love sweet and savory on a pizza but this combination was just next level. The sweet peaches x salty prosciutto and then goat cheese?!?!? Absolutely amazing
5 Stars Went to Pi Social for brunch with a group of family and friends, and we had an amazing time! The chicken and waffles were absolutely delicious—the cinnamon in the waffles was spot on and added the perfect touch. The service was excellent, with friendly and attentive staff who made sure we were well taken care of. And the live music added a great vibe to the whole experience. Highly recommend for a chill and tasty brunch spot!
Came into Fredericksburg pretty late Thursday night and though there was a wait to get in the staff made sure everything was clean and super efficient upon seating. Absolutely worth the wait for our food. We didn't realize the chef was doing magic to transport our taste buds. Thursday is live music so everyone was on the patio leaving us inside feeling we had the whole place to ourselves with great live music to boot. Thank you so much for ending our day in true amazement and joy! The fried cauliflower tasted like wings!!! Wow wow
From the time we walked in until we were finished it was an awesome experience. The service was personable and prompt. The food! The blue salad was refreshing. The chicken parmasiana was delicious with the added meat sauce. We say out side and Casey took great care of us. Thank you for this lovely dining experience.
Pi Social was an absolute hit for our family outing in Fredericksburg. We went with my nieces, nephew, mom, sister, and brother-in-law, and it was the perfect spot for everyone—from kids to adults—to enjoy themselves. The atmosphere is lively and welcoming, making it easy to relax and actually enjoy time together. The food was excellent across the board, with something for everyone, and everything came out fresh and flavorful. Drinks were just as good, whether you’re grabbing something fun or keeping it simple. What really stood out was how family-friendly the space felt without sacrificing quality. The staff was attentive, patient with our group, and genuinely kind, which always makes a difference when dining with kids. Overall, Pi Social delivered great food, great vibes, and a great experience for the whole family. We’d absolutely come back the next time we’re in Fredericksburg.
We celebrated my husbands birthday lunch here - was also our first time here- and I can say, it did not disappoint! We had a pizza and the sliders and both were delicious! The fries, just amazing ! My husband Also enjoyed an old fashion drink and another mixed drink which he said the taste was just the right mix! He was even given a free dessert for his birthday 🥳 staff was very welcoming and friendly
This is a hip restaurant located in a complex of sorts with a team shop, a small healthy grocery store, golf and a bar. The interior is a cool setup of tables and booths and adjacent bar. A variety of menu items like chicken and waffles, brisket quest, deviled eggs- but we came for the pizza. We had a standard all meat and a Cali Pizza recommended by Des, our server. Pizza was good. You can go with the specialties or build your own. Des was an excellent server. Very nice, helpful, and attentive. Cool kid - excellent job! Swing by and grab some food and kick back and enjoy.
Located in a cool multi business venue, this place was new to us but worth the try! Went on a busy Sunday around brunch time. It was seat yourself, which was a little odd...but easy. Outdoor seating was full, but found a cool little nook-like booth. Service was a bit a miss at first, they were busy and honestly I dont know if anyone really saw us walk in. But our waitress Christy was a true gem, once she realized we hadn't been helped she took over and made it a great experience. Had the B&B and a breakfast pizza along with cocktails. Food was great! Hot and flavorful and my husband enjoyed his well made old fashioned. A little dark on the inside, but comfortable music level, cool ambiance, and sports on well placed t.v.'s for everyone. We really enjoyed this place and will add it to our Fredericksburg stops!
Pi Social was a great experience both in service and food. The service was very attentive, situating a patio heater by our table when requested. The brunch food was on another level. The Monte Cristo and Chicken n Waffles were outstanding. The chef even gave us complimentary chocolate covered strawberries as a nice touch.
Jason took care of us tonight and was warm, friendly and welcoming. The food was amazing, and we enjoyed our time there. The portions were large and I had enough to take some home for later. Make sure you ask for Jason if you go. You won't be disappointed and you'll be treated like family. :)
While visiting a relative, we ate at Pi Social. I had the wagyu sliders and they were very good. The service and atmosphere was very good and peaceful. We both had a great time!
Pi Social was probably the best dinner we had during our trip to Fredericksburg this week. The food was fresh, creative and phenomenally delicious. The desserts were outstanding, especially the Xango Cheesecake. A++++
We eat here almost weekly. The peaceful atmosphere on the covered patio can’t be beat! Great service and great food! Des was a great server!!
It was a pleasure to have a meeting with friends that evolved into drinks and dinner. The atmosphere was delightful, and the pizza was truly exceptional! If you have not yet experienced their brunch, the Texican pizza is absolutely phenomenal and bursting with flavor! For those who enjoy a bit of spice, the stuffed chicken chorizo is highly recommended. The Lalo margaritas were wonderfully smooth. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and certainly plan to return!
The food was great and the restaurant was a good experience as a whole. The staff were very friendly. Especially the hostess I believe her name was Lauren was a delight.
Always a great experience with staff. Management is always on alert with customers. Food is always on point. Wifey and I became regulars here and we are not from Fredericksburg. 4th time visiting Fredericksburg this year.
We were not loving any of the main street options, and found Pi Social online. Off the main drag, and does not feel like a tourist spot. Drinks came fast and topped off frequently. T.J gave us very good advice, was friendly and excellent service. Waygu Pizza and Spring Salad were amazing! Pizza was cooked perfectly, toppings plentiful. Key lime pie and Blueberry cobbler were great. Everyone was very friendly and greeted us when we came in. Will definitely come back next time we are in town.
Pi social is one of our favorite local spots! EVERYTHING on the menu is good. Super vibey spot with great drinks, great food, and great atmosphere!
We were traveling and wanted to find a place where we could have pizza. We had no reservation but were seated pretty quick and although the music was loud and they were busy we got our delicious boudin balls and drinks pretty quick and we chose to build our own pizza with smoked brisket, mushrooms, sweet onions and green bell peppers - perfect! Thanks Christi and crew!
Great vibes & even better service! Had an awesome night at Pi Social. The place has a cool vibe, great music, and the food was actually really good (the sliders and flatbread were a hit at our table). But what really made the experience stand out was Alizay. He was super friendly and made us feel right at home. Chill, attentive, and just all-around good energy. He gave solid recommendations, checked in at the right times, and made sure everything was spot on without being over the top. Honestly, it’s rare to get that kind of genuine, relaxed service these days. Definitely coming back some time.
I absolutely love this restaurant! Great food, amazing service, and really cool atmosphere! Casey is a really great server, and does a phenomenal job! The whole experience is amazing! 5 stars!
This felt like an old speakeasy. Love the vibe and the food. We indulged on the pizza, and it was heavenly. It's a small spot so recommend getting a reservation in place. We will be back on our next adventure to Fredericksburg.
My wife came across this on the internet somehow and started reading the menu. So I said that sounds like a great place let's go and off we went. A short time later we were seated and I ordered the spaghetti and meatballs and my wife ordered the salmon with dirty rice. Does spaghetti and meatballs was phenomenal and out of this world I loved it. My wife, who is not a seafood eater, ordered the salmon platter and ate a good chunk of it. I got the rest of it hehe. So, if any of you folks are in the neighborhood in Fredericksburg stop by here and grab you something. These folks have really good food.
Taylor, the manager, was an incredible host! Very personable and made sure all of our needs were met. He’s a tru asset to the business!
Yesterday's experience at Pi Social was highly enjoyable. I met with friends for beverages and appetizers. The deep-fried cauliflower is a standout dish, even for those who typically dislike cauliflower. The pizza selection is excellent, with the Hawaiian pulled pork pizza being particularly recommended. Our server, Casey, provided exceptional service. Thank you for the outstanding experience. We plan to return.
Relaxing at one of our favorite places, enjoying great food and even better company. We had their Peach & Prosciutto PI Pizza, sticky wings with fried rice, and a fresh salmon salad—absolutely delicious! The drinks were perfect, and the atmosphere made everything even better. A big shout-out to Brandon, Jessica, Alex and the staff for making our week such a memorable experience with their amazing service. Truly grateful for it all.
Came in with no expectations. But we were very impressed with the wings and the pizza! Made our own had tossed with pepperoni, olives, and onions and it was the best crust I’ve had in a long time.
The food was amazing. Ivan was our waiter and he was great. When we asked about things to do in town he even wrote us out a list of places to visit while we were visiting.
I live in Fredericksburg and Pi Social has become our favorite casual restaurant. Food is consistently excellent, staff is always friendly, and prices are unusually reasonable in a town where it seems everyone else is making a maximum money grab from tourists. If you are a chicken and waffles fan, you are in for a treat as these guys have the best I've ever had.
My wife and I arrived around 2:30 p.m. We thought that would be a slow time because it was too late for lunch and too early for dinner but they were still busy! But we had a fantastic server, her name is Cindi, and they had a awesome chef to cook my wife's salmon to perfection, and his name is Joseph. Very relaxed atmosphere in there with nice dinner music, not too soft and not too loud, just right. The food came out hot, prompt, and was delicious! The manager Alex even stopped and talked with us a couple times just to check if everything was okay and we told him everything was great especially our server Cindi! We will be back again and again and again!
We were a group of 6 in for brunch on Valentine's weekend. The food was all really good and came in big portions. The cocktails were also delicious. Cindy was our server, she was very friendly, attentive and made our experience the best it could be!
Outstanding food and service. Price is crazy good for all the food you get. Wonderful sandwiches, pizza and desserts. Cocktails are great as well. Nice peaceful atmosphere, perfect lighting and temperature. Never too busy. Meals are crafted and delivered with a smile. Any of you that have left less than 5 stars obviously need your tastes elevated.
Cindy was hands down one of the best waiters I’ve ever had. She was incredibly sweet, patient, and attentive, and she made us feel so welcomed from start to finish. Service like hers is rare, and it truly made our experience outstanding. The restaurant is lucky to have her!
Ren (bartender) and Alex (manager) were very busy but still made us feel welcome. The Chicken Carbonara, Chicken Parmesan, Caesar Salad, and anniversary dessert were all delicious and tasty. If you're looking for amazing Italian cuisine, go to Pi Social.
The food was fabulous! TJ went above and beyond with the service, we never had to wait on a fresh drink or refill on soda. The manager, Taylor stopped by our table 3 separate times to make sure everything was good with the service and food. I highly recommend the Honey Garlic Salmon, the Brussel sprouts are excellent. And a huge Thanks to Enrique!
My wife and I came here for the 1st time, and holy cow! What a neat venue! Casey took care of us and did a great job! She recommended the fried cauliflower and man was it a hit! Large portion and phenomenal appetizer. Definitely sharable. Entres were truly incredible. I couldn't wait to leave this review. Highly, highly recommend checking this out while in Fredericksburg. The venue has Nashville, Austin vibes. Very modern.
A great husband and wife management team. She runs the bar and he oversees the bar and restaurant. One of my favorite local hangouts. The venue is hands down one of the coolest places in Fredericksburg. The live music (Charlie Garcia) was one of their best artists yet. Perfect location for those with children. They can play and run in the outdoor park located at the rear of the restaurant while parents can watch the live music and enjoy a cool beverage. You can also visit one of the businesses located in the same space. Taylor, Brandon, or Jessica can be found behind the bar on most nights and they are ready to mix up a cocktail, serve a cold beer, or pour you a glass of wine. The menus offers a nice selection of options from grilled salmon, chicken wings, pasta, or pizzas. There is something on the menu for most everyone. If you're local or industry, check out their Thursday night menu. If you travel to the Midland area, check out their original location.
Me encanta la atención del lugar ! Me parece un lugar cálido y relajante para irme a embellecer ! La Atención de Sami es magnífica 🫶🏻
First time at Pi Social this week. Atmosphere - unique Service - good for being busy Pizza - delicious! My reason for a 4 star - the lack of space between tables on the outdoor back patio. My guests and I felt very "stacked on other tables" and "too close for comfort." Customer suggestion : take out one 4 top and spread the tables out a bit. I get it... more tables more money....but your first impression is key to having a return customer.
Went here today for a late lunch/ brunch. The service and food was pretty good overall. The fried cauliflower was perfectly fried, crunchy and tender but with a bit if a bite left still. The salad was fresh and delicious, though the caprese would have been better the traditional way rather than with friend green tomatoes. The mushroom pie was excellent though a bit undercooked , the sliders were overdone but they were very gracious about fixing them. The only issue is the outdoor patio is not great because they don’t have fans or anything means to cool down. Which made for a poor score for atmosphere, but it’s probably great when it’s cool outside.
Delicious pizza! Not great service. Hoping we just had a weird one off experience because everything else seemed great! The employees were not rude, however we waited a ridiculous amount of time for our appetizer that didn't require any cooking. They seemed very unbothered by how long we waited and were just not on top of simply checking on our drinks and such. (Maybe gave up on our table knowing we already had to wait so long). We also were there at a odd time and the restaurant was almost completely empty, so the wait seemed really bad considering that. The food was excellent! Great quality, fresh ingredients. A diverse menu with numerous appealing options. Seemingly fairly priced. I loved the dough of the pizza and although I don't usually love white sauces, (we ordered the buffalo pizza) the white sauce was fantastic. I will say that the pizza was very sloppily put together with some parts having all of one topping and not evenly distributed at all. However, it was very, very delicious. The pizza is good enough to where even though the service was not great and the way was horrible... I would come back for the pizza.
The fried chicken sandwich was excellent and the wings were good too. I was a little surprised that they did not have any Fredericksburg wines, but they did have some local beers so that was cool.
This is an extremely modern contemporary restaurant located in Fredericksburg. Many people assume this is a sports bar but it is much nicer than a typical Sports Bar. There is Great Outdoor space and it is located in an area where there are other activities such as golfing. Well this doesn't fit the normal Fredericksburg restaurant theme it is a great change for those looking to visit a more modern restaurant.
The environment was great. Drinks were good and the food was very satisfactory. We ordered the boudin balls, chicken alfredo and salmon. It’s not anything fancy but all the food tasted good.
We ordered B&B for our appetizer. It was ok, but for a burrata, it was very dry. The Wicked Margherita Flatbread was really good. The Prosciutto & Mushroom Flatbread was a disappointment. The onions and mushrooms were fresh/clod and not cooked on the pizza. They did offer to replace it with something else. It was a nice place to try, but no rush to try it again.
2nd time to try this place. Food was okay. Unique Cuban sandwich with an interesting mustard. Not sure about the choice of mustard. My wife's burrato/prosciutto sandwich was good but very salty. Atmosphere is dark and closed in . Perhaps better in the fall when they can open their garage doors to the back yard. Server was nice enough but , undoubtedly new. Don't hover over your patrons. Old friends been a while since we had seen each other , and yet we were asked for our order without having cracked our menus. Small things but oh so important to having a really nice dining experience.
Cool place - wouldn't go here for a burger at all though. It tasted like it was cooked from frozen and reheated, and not seasoned at all, mushy and possibly one of the worst burgers for $14. But the atmosphere and service was great, just wouldn't go here for a burger unless they seriously step up their game. All the other food was excellent.
We’ve been here before, but tonight was very different. Felt as if we were being rushed through our meal. Seated but were told “I need to take care of a few things and I’ll be back.” I would guess 5 minutes, we’re not in a hurry, but finally placed drink and food order. The food we enjoyed, but the service just felt as if we needed to get in and out. Will question if we come back in the future.
Would not recommend. The service was really bad. They took my order, and 20 minutes later, they came back saying that the dish I ordered wasn't part of the brunch service. That should've been made clear when I first ordered the dish. I had to pick a different dish, and I watched my entire table finish their food before I got mine. Extremely slow service and unprofessional overall. The food was good, but not good enough for this level of service. We were also there for over 1.5 hours, so the service was very slow.
This is our first time here and quite frankly, it’ll most likely be our last. I’m sure the staff are friendly however, we were ignored until it was time to sit us down which, having never been here before, we didn’t know exactly where to stand to make sure we weren’t being missed. So we waited around for approximately 10 mins before finally we were lead to the outdoor table. The view is amazing, however we were sat in the sun so it wasn’t pleasant. Upon the arrival of our food, we were so excited to eat but the sliders we ordered were way over cooked and the jam for the burgers … well let’s just say they must have been running out because it was very dry. The margarita pizza was decent according to my wife. I felt like it was too much dough and thank Jesus, they had ranch because this would have been difficult to get down without. Overall the staff was nice, and if they had attend to us more often, I think the visit might have been better. We felt like when it came to getting our “ranch”, drink refills, etc., it had taken a very long time for our server to get back to us so the wait was long. Only saving grace being in the sun is that our food stayed hot until we were done. We wished it was better.
Pi Social is a decent option if you’re visiting Fredericksburg, but it didn’t quite live up to the reputation or the price point. The food was fine, though not worth what it costs, and the overall experience felt underwhelming for a restaurant that’s so highly regarded. The service was just okay—friendly staff, but the kitchen and wait team seemed a bit overwhelmed during our visit. The bartender couldn’t make a proper Old Fashioned, so I’d skip the cocktails and stick with the wine, which was excellent. Overall, it’s not a terrible place, but also not one I’d recommend unless other options are limited. If you don’t mind paying a premium for average food and service, it might work, but there are better choices in town.
As an avid Italian food lover and a FBG local I’m not too sure why it took me so long to try Pi Social…but I wish I would’ve waited longer. I DoorDashed a Chicken Parmesan which was terrible. In hindsight; I typically try to not allow to-go orders to represent how a dish might taste when it’s fresh as it would with a dine-in experience…that being said, my issue wasn’t that the food was cold or soggy or anything of the sort. The chicken was so horribly burnt that I could barely saw away at it and it tasted like chicken with a “flavorful” hint of charcoal. The sauce was awful, somehow tasting burnt or old as well…I couldn’t even finish it, but the mozzarella sticks were some of the best that I’ve had locally so there’s that. I hear wonderful things about their pizza, maybe that’s what I should’ve ordered instead, maybe next time!
I was excited to try this place but slightly disappointed with the person who took our order. We were sat at the bar and ordered the Cherry Pineapple Old Fashioned, Moscow mule, Cesar salad, fried mozzarella and two different pizzas. Mid giving the girl my order she just walked away. Lol I was still talking when she just turned around and left. Didn't say anything. Comes back and says "ok what do you want on your pizza?" Didn't bother to say hold on lemme write this down or anything. Um ok. The food and appetizer came out all together and it was good. She did forget my salad. All the food was already out and asked if I still wanted it. Ok well not any more. She was like ok well my bad I forgot your salad and just laughed and walked away. Another bartender who was there engaged in conversation and refilled our water. He was really sweet. I would not recommend this place based on service.
Getting charged a 20% gratuity for poor service is egregious. We have 2 little ones 4 yr an 2 yr old. Which made our party of 6. But just because you are automatically billing for gratuity doesn't excuse poor service. We had to ask for every refill. Having empty glasses multiple times. And they give minimal chips then bill you for requesting more.
Not sure if we were there on a bad night or what, but we had our best friend’s 30th birthday here tonight. Our experience was as follows: arrived at 6:30 for a 6:45 reservation for 13, and were seated around 7:15. Walked into a small, stuffy and hot indoor section. We just needed some water, but sat for about 25-30 minutes before we were ever greeted by a server. He came by with 5 waters and suggested we share because that’s all they had at the moment. We received waters at 7:45, an hour after our reservation. We placed orders just before 8:00, but there were several things our side of the table asked for from the menu that were unavailable. Salmon, honey bbq sauce, etc. When food was delivered after what felt like forever, there were several forgotten/unmet requests like sides and sauces. The fried calamari we ordered as an appetizer had 8 teeny tiny pieces, and it came out the same time as the entres. We definitely could have done without it at that point. The worst part was everyone was already done eating by the time the birthday girl got her pizza- she sat there with nothing in front of her for the better part of 2 hours we were there. By the end of the night, we had gone up to the hostess stand twice to make sure we were on the staff’s radar because it seemed no one was taking care of us. 2 stars instead of 1 because the espresso martinis were tasty.
The hostess is overwhelmed she is doing too much for what is required of her. The line gets super long and shes running back and forth. Having one hostess stand there and take reservations and add to the wait list and one hostess be the runner and seat guests and check on tables would be ideal. Once seated we had to sit for over 10 minutes before anyone even acknowledged we were there. Finally two different guys came over to ask if we had been helped. One grabbed us drinks then came back to ask if we wanted to order. No hello welcome to pi social my name is....let me tell you our specials or what we're known for. No upselling literally nothing. The food took a little over 30 minutes for sliders and stuffed chicken chorizo. The food doesnt have a pleasant smell, you can smell it when you enter the restaurant. My sliders smell like they were cooked in a microwave and cooked to well done, the fries were also incrediblely hard and over cooked which is also unappealing. The stuffed chicken was subpar the cheese on op of it created a film so it had been sitting for a while before being brought out to the table. Don't waste your time with this place. Its small they play loud club music with too much bass you cant even hear a person 6 inches from you.
First off staff is so unprofessional. Like seriously the problem was the restaurant and kitchen but we get sarcasm back for being upset? We had a table of 13 and was told that they would have a maximum amount of a party to our face. When we tried to talk to the waiter, he walked away while we were talking and served others. Don’t come here if you want back hand responses, disrespect from employees that laugh and wave at you, and unhelpful service.
Arrived at 4:45 on Saturday 10/18. Sign said to set anywhere, so we sat at a 2 top.. Six top next to us had a reserved sign and one other 2 top did as well. Server told us we needed to move because they had made a mistake and our table was needed for reservation. Was told we could sit in any of other 5 remaining empty tables. Then another server (maybe manager) told us we would have to eat outside or come back another time. We live in Fred and cone he on occasion.
I really wanted to like this place, but the experience left a bad impression. Our waitress had a snarky demeanor and barely checked on us—only once throughout the whole meal. On top of that, a host came over and asked if we could move to the bar because they had our table reserved for another party. That was shocking, especially since we had a reservation ourselves. Why should we have to move and feel less important than another group? It made us feel completely unwelcome, and overall the service was disappointing. Food wasn’t even that great either. Could make it myself for less.
This experience was completely unacceptable. Food took nearly two hours, some items never arrived, and what did was cold. The restaurant was somehow overwhelmed even though it wasn’t close to full, and still continued seating guests while being out of much of the menu. The manager was blatantly unprofessional — interruptive, condescending, dismissive, and openly complaining about serving large parties despite our reservation. He made no effort to fix anything and only escalated the situation. Service was inattentive, drinks and water were left empty, and staff were openly talking and laughing about our table. Automatic gratuity meant zero accountability. The hostess was the only professional person there. Do not come here expecting competent management or basic service, especially with a group.
This experience has been deplorable. The food took 2 hours to come out. The server did not apologize for the wait ONE TIME. When explaining our grievances to the manager, he attempted to interrupt me multiple times. There were multiple other tables around us with the same issues of poor service and food wait time. They also had no propane for the patio heaters in January and the excuse is that “it was New Years”, which I think is a questionable excuse. When trying to speak to our server and the manager, they both continually escalated the situation by making snide, snarky, and condescending comments. Because of the size of our party, an automatic gratuity was placed on all of our tabs, so at the point where we expressed our issues with the service, the server clearly could not care any less about trying to get us out of this restaurant because he was getting his money. The owners of this establishment need to reevaluate how they are running their restaurant with kitchen appliances being broken and the kitchen and bar being so backed up. If you have a party greater than 4-6, I would not recommend this restaurant as the manager said “if it were up to me I would not take parties larger than that”. Let me make it clear, we were not upset about the wait time, but the communication and attitude that was given.
I am writing to share feedback on my group’s recent visit to Pi Social for brunch this past Saturday. We were a party of ten and had been looking forward to our experience, but unfortunately, it was very disappointing from start to finish. To begin, several of us ordered carajillos. When they arrived, they tasted nothing like they should — watered down, with no coffee or cold brew, almost entirely Licor 43. When we raised our concern with our server, she dismissed us, insisting they contained coffee without offering to remake or correct the issue. When it came to the food, things only worsened. Five of us ordered chicken and waffles but were brought plates with French toast instead — which none of us had ordered. When we pointed this out, the server went to the window loudly told the kitchen to change them, but the same incorrect plates of French toast were brought back out. At that point, I asked if she could at least bring out the eggs I had ordered on the side. When she did, they were cold, as if they had been sitting out the entire time. I ended up not eating the eggs or French toast, and essentially only had the chicken portion of my plate. The manager eventually came to our table, but he seemed unaware of what had happened and offered no apology or acknowledgement of the multiple mistakes and delays. At the end of our meal, when the checks were brought, we realized the server had actually rung in “chicken & not a waffle” instead of “chicken and waffles.” This explained why the kitchen never sent waffles in the first place. She admitted this was her mistake, yet we were still charged full price for the incorrect dishes and nothing was discounted or adjusted. On top of this, we were still expected to leave a 20% tip for service that was extremely disappointing. I understand that we were a large group, but I do not feel that gratuity should be automatic — it is something that should be earned, not assumed, especially when the service was far below standard. Overall, the service, food, and drinks were well below what we had expected, and the lack of accountability or resolution made the situation even more frustrating. We chose Pi Social because of its reputation, and this was not the type of experience we anticipated. I felt it was important to bring this to your attention in hopes that it can be addressed for the sake of future guests. I did email the manager, no response.
This was the worst experience I’ve had since being in Fredericksburg. We had reservations for a party of 13. The waiter was inattentive. The manager was unprofessional and condescending when we tried to speak to him about our concerns. The pizza oven was broken. They were out of half their menu. Honestly, the restaurant should have closed because the kitchen couldn’t handle the orders from our table or any other tables around us. The food took nearly an hour and half to get to our table. Not all the food even ever made it out to our table. We canceled part of it because it took so long. When the food that was served finally came out, it was cold. I don’t recommend coming here with a large group because the manager told us he does not like serving large parties, although I made a reservation well in advance. They didn’t have any propane for the heaters for outside seating, and it is January. The wait staff was obviously speaking about our table and laughing and pointing. Very unprofessional staff!!! The only kind person that we spoke with was the hostess . She is a gem and probably should be promoted.
This was the most disappointing restaurant experience of my life. We waited for over an hour to get appetizers, an hour and a half to get all of our food without one apology. The waiter laughed and walked off while we were trying to explain our situation and ask what was going on with our delayed food and drinks. The manager tried to make excuses and dismiss our situation. The first apology we got was two hours into the deplorable experience. I have been around the restaurant industry my entire life and I have NEVER had this type of low-level customer service.
I placed a pickup order through DoorDash for this restaurant and drove about 20–30 minutes with my elderly grandparents to pick it up. When I got there, I was told they couldn’t find my order. After I explained that it was through DoorDash pickup, the response I got was, “oh, we don’t use that anymore.” If that’s the case, the option should not still be available online because my order went through just fine and I was charged for it. Another employee then came over and told me the order was going to be canceled. At that point, I asked if I could just place an order in person since I had already made the trip and was standing right there, and I was told no, that they were “too busy.” So after driving that far with my grandparents — who don’t get out much and were looking forward to this meal — we had no food at all and had to turn around and leave. The most frustrating part is that this wasn’t an error on my end. It was entirely on theirs. Out of good faith and basic customer service, they should have honored the order anyway instead of sending us away empty-handed. Mistakes happen, but how a business chooses to handle those mistakes is what defines them. In this case, it felt careless and dismissive, and it left us disappointed and upset after wasting our time, money, and gas. If they no longer use DoorDash, the listing needs to be removed immediately. And more importantly, management needs to step up and teach staff how to handle these situations better. A customer who has already paid and driven that far shouldn’t be punished for a restaurant’s oversight. It would have gone a long way if they had just taken responsibility and made things right.
If I could leave zero stars I would. Never even got into the restaurant. Stood at the hostess booth for 10 minutes where hostess refused to acknowledge me. Then after just telling her it was going to be 4 she asked if outside was ok and then she left for 15 minutes. Just gave up at that point.
This was the worst service experience I have ever endured. It had nothing to do with the fact that our food took two hours. We arrived in a great mood, prepared to spend an abundance of time and money at this establishment. Our issue occurred because, in the two hours we waited for our food, we did not get a single glass of water refilled or served more drinks. Later in the night, the manager claimed that our waiter was attentive, however the ONLY reason we got a second round of drinks was because we waved the waiter down, an hour after our first round had come out. Additionally, we had ordered chips and queso and they were not brought until our food was (hour 2 of being there). Lastly, this bad service was not only experienced by us, but everyone in surrounding tables. Specifically, the table nearby us stated that the only reason they had not complained was because they were never carded. They were a table of complete underage individuals, but the restaurant served them multiple rounds of drinks without ever asking their age. This establishment should not be in business, and I would never recommend them to anyone.
