Great atmosphere, fantastic service and outstanding food!!

Only had coffee, but a very warm welcome

Very friendly bar, popped in most days for a coffee or two during our week stay in Frigliana, Jo really nice and very knowledgeable about the area. Will be visiting the bar next time we are in Frigliana

Stopped off here for a quick drink & ended up staying a few hours - great hostess, very friendly and their bar snacks are amazing, - if you are visiting this resort, I totally recommend you nip in here 😋

Lovely bar with outside seating to watch the world go by. Jo is so friendly and welcoming with great tapas and food.

Great food and prices very reasonable open all week except Saturday. Great music events also.

What a find!!! This is a bar/restaurant that has so much to offer. The food is fantastic. Its home cooked, fresh and amazing quality and value. Big shout out to Mark the Chef!! Jane offers excellent front of house service and makes you feel completely relaxed....very attentive and courteous. Jo has a gem of a place here. You will feel welcome. You will be fed and watered and have a great time in the process. Thank you guys. We'll be back!

I would give 6 stars if possible!!! Wonderful welcome, excellent service and delicious food. Friday fish n chips with (homemade) mushy peas...what a treat!! We even managed to find room to sample Mark's (homemade) cakes and they were fabulous!! Looking forward to the next visit. Thanks very much.

Just had the most tasty vegetarian breakfast and last week I had thd fish, chips and mushy peas....after eating here twice I can now confidently say that the food is excellent, the service was spot on! A fantastic find.. and the views!!!!! Well come and see for yourself

Extremely nice English bar on the main road of Frigiliana. The owner Jo is usually there to sort of light up the room with a tired laugh. Best English breakfast in town

Just had the Sunday carvery and it was delicious. Fresh, crunchy vegetables and great Yorkshire puds. The trifle was really good. Best to book as it was very busy.

Wonderful all day breakfast. Great beer and a refreshing cider on draft too. Lovely owner and chef. Would recommend Jo's Bar if you are in Frigiliana.

Had a lovely lunch here today with my husband both meals were very generous great value for money and expertly cooked I had tapas for one and my husband have chicken and chips half a chicken and it was half a big chicken would highly recommend and definitely coming back - 😋

Der BESTE Vegie Burger den ich tatsächlich je gegessen haben. So lecker und nah am "original", wirklich klasse. Auch der Preis war absolut Fair. Schade nur das ich hier nixbt wohne und es so leider eine Ausnahme bleiben wird. Schade. Von mir absolute Empfehlung!!!!

Fantastic lunch today in the beautiful Frigaliana. We were well welcomed when we arrived at Jo's bar. The food all freshly made by Mark was delicious and well presented. The cakes are heavenly and you must go and try them. Can't wait to go back and sample something else from the menu.

Fab food and great service/ banter with staff we had fish and triple cooked chips and Dorada With spring onion, ginger, garlic & white wine. Both cooked to perfection...wish I'd found the place sooner

We stayed near Jo's bar and used it regularly as the pool was next door. Staff and regulars couldn't have been more welcoming and friendly. The food was great and very reasonable and we treated it like our local. Thanks in particular to Rachel and Jane for making a fantastic holiday that little bit more special.

Visited Jo's to enjoy her renowned Fish and Chips and Mushy peas with mint. We weren't disappointed! Zero alcohol Alambra on tap is a nice touch. Plus cherry pie with ice-cream for pudding. Altogether a very pleasant afternoon.👍🏼

Last Friday I went to Jo's bar and restaurant for the first time. Decided on having the fish, chips and mushy peas. I certainly was not disappointed. The fish was delicious and the batter was light and crispy. Tripled cooked homemade chips and the mushy peas, I need to know how you did them Mark! For pudding went for the homemade Lemon meringue pie and vanilla ice cream. Lush! Great friendly staff as well. My dog was also made welcome and they gave me a bowl of water for her. I will be back! Thanks guyz!

Picked up a fry up to take back to our apartment - exactly what you’d get back home in the UK. Lovely hash browns - very simple and yummy.

Je regrette le manque de carte des boissons : une pratique de l'établissement qui se veut assez unique avec un objectif inconnu. Nous pouvons saluer l'amabilité de l'équipe qui a accepté de prendre notre commande alors que les cuisines étaient sur le point d'être fermées. Cependant, c'était pour nous servir un plat très moyen. Pains burger non toasté et frites industrielles ou qui en ont en tout cas le goût . Passer le balai serait bien nécessaire. Le sol est extrêmement sale, Présence de toiles d'araignée en nombre sur les étagères et autour des pieds de table. Ne recommande pas.

Basic food but tasty enough. Had veggie burger which wasn't bad but would have liked bun toasted which would have enhanced it. Fries a bit flaccid.

À éviter, commande d'un pichet de sangria. Le plus mauvais depuis que je suis en Espagne mais le plus cher. Paiement sans ticket de caisse j'ai un grand doute sur l'honnêteté de la personne qui m'a servi.

Dårlig o ligegyldig service

Went along on a Wednesday evening to enjoy a drink and a meal with the family, initially ignored as a family group and was not until I followed the lady working that evening into the bar and asked if we could grab the empty table of six outside that she spoke to us! Our drink order was taken but no menus given and no mention the kitchen had closed at 20:30 (no reference to this on the website) it wasn’t until we saw the same lady visibly take the menu stand inside that we realised food was not an option! Still I had to chase her down inside and ask if the kitchen was still open! To which she replied no the kitchen is closed! Amazing really as we must of missed it by no more than 2 minutes after sitting down as some people were still getting starters and main courses kept coming out even 20-30 minutes after we sat down! I have worked in the food service industry and I know there is a good return to be had on a six seat table who have already ordered a bottle of wine and three other drinks, shocked at the lack of engagement from the lady working that night and didn’t go back even for a coffee or evening drink even though it was a few yards from our villa! We did eat out on four more occasions spending over €100 on each occasion and it was not hard to get better service.

Debe haber cambiado mucho. El personal no habla español. Pedimos un filete de salmón, para no arriesgar y vino crudo. Se lo dije a la camarera y, desapareció. Les tuve que llevar los platos a la cocina. Cómo se deja crudo un filete de salmón? Típico sitio para ingleses.

Se vende como sitio con opciones veganas, por lo que decidimos desplazarnos hasta allí. Al llegar, un viernes a las 14:30, nos dicen que no hay cocina, que solo tienen las tapas preparadas que hay en la barra para calentar. A pesar de eso, nos acercamos a ver lo que tienen por si hay alguna opción y, de 8 tapas preparadas no hay una sola opción vegana. Una decepción total, a evitar y más aún si eres vegano, además de lo que veo en otros comentarios que ni siquiera hablan español.

Wir wollten gestern bei Jo‘s zu Abend essen, weil uns die vielen vegetarischen und veganen Optionen sehr angesprochen haben und wurden leider enttäuscht. Als wir gegen 17 Uhr am Restaurant ankamen, sprach uns die Kellnerin draußen auf der Terrasse an und fragte, was wir trinken wollen, bevor wir uns überhaupt hingesetzt hatten. Wir wollten zuerst schauen, aber sie sagte, es gäbe kein Getränkemenü. Erst auf Nachfrage sagte sie dann irgendwann, dass sie heute früher schließen würden und daher kein Essen mehr hätten. (2 Stunden vor der eigentlichen Schließzeit) Es kam uns so vor, als hätte sie uns unbedingt dazu bringen wollen, sofort Getränke zu bestellen, damit wir nicht einfach wieder gehen konnten, als wir dann erfahren haben, dass es kein Essen mehr gibt. Wir werden nicht mehr dorthin gehen.
