OMG … I almost cried 🫶 The tapas (we had Gambas al pil pil, bruschetta & meatballs, not to mention Sangria 😋) was better than words can express … all homemade and served with social and human presence, kindness and joy. You almost miss the spot walking by - what a shame - do join! 💛❤️🧡

Firstly, what makes this place so good are the couple who own and run this restaurant/bar. Equally as important is the food. All freshly cooked and beautifully presented and a joy to eat. Currently it's a small menu but I'm told that it will expand. We really enjoy our visits to The Boat XI and wish them nothing but success.

First time visit and won't be the last.Saw a post on fb showing mussels and we haven't found anywhere that we can buy them. I rang asking of they had gluten free bread and they said no but they would get some for us if we were coming the next day. The food was wonderful and the couple that run it are so friendly. A truly 5-star evening. The food is unique and prepared very well. Clearly a chef with plenty of experience. We ordered the patatas braves, gambas pil-pil and the prosciutto piadina. And the staff are super friendly and are very attentive. The restaurant has a cosy atmosphere and the menu is very reasonably priced. Furthermore, they are dog friendly and welcoming which is a huge bonus for our Leo.

Lovely little cafe run by a warm couple from Romania by way of Ireland. Alina and Valentin went well beyond the call of duty. Good food (the best tartar sauce I have had with my fish in a long while) generous pourings of wine, and even better hospitality. Will be back!

Wir waren im Mai 2025 hier zu Gast. Wir wurden herzlichst empfangen und die von uns gewählten Speisen waren ausnahmslos von exquisiter Qualität. Alles hat supergut geschmeckt. Die beiden Inhaber waren soooo nett und fürsorglich. Wir werden bei unserem nächsten Aufenthalt auf jeden Fall wieder hier einkehren. 😊

We will return to Los Boliches if only to have tapas at Boat XI. The quality of food and the culinary expertise is exceptional. Alina and Valentin are both friendly and attentive. We cannot recommend this place enough....try it yourself 😉

The Boat XI is a beautiful cozy restaurant located in the Paseo Maritimo, right across the Mediterranean Sea. It is run by Lina and Valentin, a lovely Rumanian couple who relocated to Fuengirola to continue enjoying life. And, what a way to do it! They invest their energy and love in making sure that the customers are enjoying their time and their food. Their light bulbs at the bar easily describe their state of mind. Lina takes care of the drinks while Valentin takes care of the food. She prepares the best sangria I have ever had, and Valentine prepares the best calamari, meatballs Caprese and Goat Cheese salads I have ever tasted. Every time I go, I try another item on the menu in addition to one of the ones I mentioned before, and they are equally superb. Valentin comes to the table to be sure you are enjoying the dish he has prepared for you. Lina comes by the table to be sure the table has new plates and cutlery for the next course. They provide a personal touch that it is rare these days. After living in New York City for over forty years, it is nice to relocate to a place like Fuengirola and find such a special place full of love. Come and experience it, you won’t regret it.

I would give this restaurant 6 stars if I could. The owners are incredibly kind and engaging, the space is very sweet and best of all, the food is AMAZING! We ordered the caprese salad, meatballs, shrimp pil pil and chicken nuggets. Everything was fresh, tasty and obviously homemade. The tomatoes in the salad were even ripe - which doesn't always happen when you order a caprese salad. The cherry on the top is they are dog friendly and brought my dog a bowl of water. They obviously care about their patrons, the food quality and the overall experience. The owner told me they were ready to add a cover to the outside seating to ensure warmth through the winter, they are just waiting on the City to allow them to do so. This restaurant will be in our regular rotation!

You can really taste the quality of the ingredients and the passion in the kitchen. A truly exceptional place! Run by a lovely couple who clearly love what they do. The food is absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. The shrimp and fish were amazing, and the meatballs were perfect. Our 2-year-old ate the entire portion – and he’s usually very picky, which is why we came back again. We visited several places in the area, but none made us feel as comfortable as this one. We highly recommend it to everyone!

Absolutely perfect food - we used to live in the area 10 yrs ago and have been trying to achieve that authentic feeling all holiday. This place nailed it. The owners were so brilliant and genuine. The best PilPil prawns and frankly the best any prawns I have ever tasted. I did not know what to eat (many great tapas), so they suggested and took so good care. The place is pretty small so it is easy to miss walking by, but DON’T. With the best meal the service is also first class and price so good I’d have gladly paid twice as much.

The Boat XI is runing by a lovely rumainian couple, which welcomes you heartfully to their little restaurant at the beach promenade of Fuengirola. They offer a little menu of Tapas, Salads, a every days special and typical drinks and cocktails. The Tapas, especially the Albondegas (Meatballs) are homemade and the tomato-sauce so delicious. The salads are fresh and creatively arranged. You can taste with every bite the quality of the ingredients and everything is prepared with love. A place, where you will return after your first visit.

We visited as a couple We had no information about this place just wanted to try nice tapas We had a big glass of sangria and a glass of red wine each, anchovies,fried calamari and pil pil prawn Sangria was the best we have ever had Anchovies with olive oil and vinegar was so delicate and tasty. Never seen a dish like this with anchovies. Should try them Fried calamari was so fresh,we loved it They have same menus for small portion which is suitable for us It's hard to explain how much we were overwhelmed with the foods and the owner couple It's fine dining with unbelievably low price Flawless

My husband and I came back recently from our vacation in Fuengirola, and had the occasion to enjoy a beautiful dinner at Boat XI. The owners, Alina and Valentin, are a lovely couple, with an extended experience in hospitality that shows, and makes the difference between their restaurant and others. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, food is delicious (we have tried all their traditional Spanish dishes and, as connoisseurs of Spanish cuisine, we give 5 stars with both hands). Valentin is a great chef, food arrives quickly and cooked to perfection. Alina’s approach to customers is very professional, respectful and with attention to detail. Not to forget - prices are very reasonable. They both went above and beyond with us, treating us in a way that felt very special and unique. However, we have realized that this is how they treat all their customers - they are truly genuine. Each and every customer is unique to them as everything they do, they do it from the heart. We really felt like home, like having new friends in Fuengirola. Thank you so much, Alina and Valentin! We wish you the best and will be back for sure :)

Elina and her husband gave us a gorgeous warm welcome, the place is small but was hopping!! It was after 9pm, we'd arrived that evening so they explained they were all out of Anchovies and Calamari. We took the recommendation of, bruschetta, croquettes and prawn pil pil and some fries. It was just perfect and plenty to eat. Highly recommend, that's if you can get a table, that is!!
