Great local spot. Nice people. None of the beach front hoopla. Just a charming local pub with greatest bar tender, she was cool.

Great little neighborhood bar! We found it during the Lone Star Rally. We wanted to watch the game. They let us order pizza!

HOUSTON IN THE BUILDING! The service is super fast and always with a smile and even a laugh, pool was even better complete with a "jukebox". Had a blast visiting here during my short visit to Galveston

The daytime crowd is like being with all of your best friends at one time in one place! As bartenders, Carmen and Sandra can't be topped!

Oh that place was awesome! We were tourists in Galveston beach and we found the local bar! As a smoker to walk into a bar that has ashtrays with a pure delight! I have no idea what it cost because I did not pay attention but I know whatever I paid it was worth it for the people and the atmosphere and all the fun that we had! From the waitress who served us to every local who chatted with us, they were wonderful! Cheers Gizmo hope to see you again! And I do apologize I just couldn't be bothered to take photos. Just imagine your typical local hole in the wall containing the best people in the world!

It is fun and local and a nice cheap place to go and relax after work. Very good vibes very good staff and always a lot of fun. It's nothing crazy nothing huge just a place for people like to go have a couple beers together and have a few laughs.

Great! First bar ever visited since i turned 21 and Dalton especially but Scotty both were great. I was looking for something fruity and new but with vodka and Dalton came up with the "grandma". It was great. Would definitely reccomend to everybody!!!

Stopped in and was immediately greeted by Carmen. She was incredibly friendly and made us feel welcomed along with some of the locals that came by. Wish we lived closer so that I could pop in more often, but would definitely stop in again when in the area.

This was a great place my granddaughter and I were on a little excursion, we decided to ride to Galveston for the day and we went to a couple bars and this place was just a small little bar and the atmosphere was very good the bartender was extremely nice and the people that were in there were great to it was early do it wasn’t very crowded but it was perfect. We r grieving over some passing of close family members so we just wanted to sit and enjoy ourselves and that we did. We even left and came right back to it because we had a little car problem so we needed to sit awhile in a cool place to get our heads together to get home and we went back and played some music and just sat and enjoyed. So I highly recommend this place it was very peaceful and welcoming and very homely.

Warning: this bar is a bit "rough around the edges". If you like a place where u can smoke, play pool, and get a bit rowdy, you will like Gizmos Bar.

Really like this corner bar, friendly bartenders, it's small but always has good service even on a busy night

Your average TX saloon with games, locals and cheap drinks. Good to hang out and watch the game as long as your used to those joints.

I had never been inside the place before. I had a nice time there. It has a welcoming atmosphere.

Staff is unfriendly. Caught the bar tender making my drink without alcohol and then he got mad when i called him on it. Not likely to return

I walked into the bar and waited and waited and the bartender Missy saw me sit. She wasn't serving any customers and I asked the manager Carmen who was off work why I couldn't get service. She told me to ask the bartender. The bartender just stared at me and wiped her plastic cup with a napkin and sucked on her straw. Absolute poor customer service.

For being a hole in the wall. And being on the beach. And smelling like a ash tray. They sure do hate against sleeveless shirts. Lol. Will NEVER try to go back to this place.
