Don't know why people put this place down. The food is what you get! Today, January 13, 2024, had the chicken bowl with extra chicken, and it was the bom! The staff is doing an amazing job on serving the public with quick and fast to get the order out, and still people are saying poor service. El Pollo Loco, you guys are doing an amazing job, and I want to say thank you for being here in Harbor City and serving the community. I want to let you know that your staff is amazing, I am just sitting here listening to how they greet every single customer that walks in the front door and you make us feel welcome and I just wanted to share this with you. Restaurant needs more attention in their clean floor and tables .
Couldn’t order delivery thru their app even though it was way before closing time
I ordered 2 chicken avocado with no creamy cilantro and no cheese. He tried to give me one as ordered and the other with everything. When I brought it to their attention, I watched the order being corrected and observed the preparer not giving me all of the pre-packaged avocado. I hope the asshole didn't spit in my food for catching his mistake. Racism could be a factor. REAL TRASHY BE CAREFUL, I won't be back
Well... I actually like the taste of the food here, and I've never had issues with service, but I've had a couple interesting experiences with their Pollo bowls. Today, I found a piece of wadded up plastic wrapping in the bowl, next to the onions... What's going on here? Can't say I'm comfortable eating here anymore.
As I've come to find, with every visit, the food was great. The chicken was moist and flavorful. Sadly, as I've ALSO come to find, the service at this location is hit and miss, favoring miss. My first visit to this location, was a huge disappointment. They were lacking leadership, the flow of food was so mismanaged, that numerous guests were told the wait would be 30+ minutes(having already waited 15 minutes). The counters were a mess, with trash and receipt slips everywhere. Items were missing from the order, and worst of all, some of the chicken was undercooked. In that case, I spoke with a manager the following day, and she assured me it would be addressed, and replaced the entire order. April 1st(yesterday), I placed a mobile order, specified that I would pickup "In Store", and paid for my order. When I arrived, the lobby was locked, but several employees saw me there, and just waved me off. I held up my phone, showing my order, but they just continued to wave me off. I finally decided to get into the drive thru. When I gave them my order info, the worker asked 'is this really right, you want 3 of one salsa type, and 6 of the other?' I confirmed that, yes, it is correct. She said 'That Many?!?' Now, consider this, I ordered (3) Three Whole Chickens, as well as a 2 piece chicken meal. When I got to speak with the manager, he was very dismissive. He says, oh yeah, our dining/lobby area closes at 9pm. I explained that the lobby being closed, was not the issue, it was the lack of service. They could have, and should have, come to the door, asked what I needed, and moved on, but they never Even tried to help me out find out what I needed. He just kept repeating the same thing about the lobby hours, and seemed to really not care about anything more than getting me to leave. I wish I could give them 5 stars. I also with I could give them zero stars. They deserve the zero stars, and the customers deserve service and food quality worthy of 5 stars.
My only complaint is that the restaurant is always out of ranch at around noon. I just wish they would have some more stocked up if it’s a high demand topping. Sometimes the portions are small and they charge for the cilantro cream which is ridiculous.
This is one of the poorest examples of portion size. This item is called a chicken bowl, but has less that a leg size portion of chicken. It needs to be called a bean and rice bowl. The chicken here is almost always old. I’m disappointed over 50% months of the time. This restaurant needs better management.
Dining area is always dirty. Customer service is less than average. Every time I order from this restaurant there’s always something missing like chips or tortillas. I’ve also seen employees refuse to open the dining area and only take drive through orders. It wouldn’t be problem if the food actually tasted fresh. You’re better off driving to another Pollo Loco.
Dear Management, This is my third time posting a review about your place. My wife went to your restaurant to pick up an order she placed on line. She wanted to just pick up her order and leave. Instead she had to go through the drive-thru cause the door was shut. Basically, everyone had to go through the drive-thru. Isn't the whole purpose of online order is to pick up and leave right away? Well, that was just the beginning. As you can see in the picture. The chicken was, yet again , hard as a rock, burnt, and inedible. We couldn't find one single part of a chicken out of 12 pieces my wife ordered that was edible and she was not going back there and wait another 25 mins for her order. We just wasted our valuable time and money again. Management needs to take serious action, cause this is unacceptable.
The worst experience I have wowwww we waiting like 20min in line no cashiers on duty wowwwww no lemons 🍋 bad service food is ok but to be honest the whole team at this location is orrible please people go to another pollo loco another location please tables dirty floor dirty attitude bad and worst experience 👎👎👎👎
Poor service. Chicken was over-cooked and dry. Nothing like the traditional Pollo Loco Chicken from other locations. All staff members are young with no experience. Managers appeared to be without any concern to the operation of this Pollo Loco location. I observed an African-American customer in front of me, attempt to place his order. Where he felt bothered by the response of the young lady taking his order that he walked out of the store. I then observed a Hispanic lady who did not speak English attempted to place her order. The young ladies taking her order who were also Hispanic, belittled this lady by saying they didn't speak Spanish. This lady had to alter her order because the young ladies told this lady they were out of items she was requesting to be included in her order. Frankie Hernandez and the African-American Manager had no concerns for the issues which took place.
