I've been to a couple El Pollo loco restaurants and this is one of my favorites !!! I love their food, their customer service, the music, the atmosphere !!! it's always a great experience !! It's always a 100%

The cashier was so helpful and patient while taking my order, the chicken was juicy and well cooked, overall a good place to eat i would definitely recommend

FRESH & HOT! We had the 8 Piece Mixed family meal. You are allowed to large sides! we ordered the Mac and cheese, Pinto beans. To get a 3rd side of Rice, we ordered a BRC (Beans rice & cheese burrito) combo. Comes with corn and flour Tortillas if you asked half-and-half. There is a salsa bar With various flavors and temperatures of Salsa and Chilies. You have to ask for creamed Cilantro from the refrigerator over the counter. Soda is separate From the family meals. However it did come with the BRC combo. bottomless Drinks order one and share. We Eat out Often! This ranks number 1! If You desire a home cooked meal go there. The staff was great the cooks are fantastic.!

Drive-thru is slow but accurate with orders. My food was wonderfully prepared. I live this location customer service is A-1! Love their variety on their menu.

I gave the restaurant five stars because it’s my favorite and they never let me down when it comes to my purchase!!! But today and the past few days the cashier has been sitting in a chair taking orders slowing everyone else in the store down!!! I thought maybe she had a broken leg or something else seriously might be wrong. Today she was having trouble with using the register and stood up to walk over to the guy who was desperately trying to get everyone their orders quickly!!! She was not helping to get the orders out for front counter in between customers when necessary!!! She needs to get up and get working like everyone else!!! Especially during lunch time!!! Overall, everyone else was doing a fantastic job!!! PS, she was very polite with the customers!! I will give her that!!!

This is one of the best places I've been to. The manager Jose is really great in his customer service. Food is always delicious and staff is always so friendly. Will continue coming to this place is my #1 to go to get a delicious tostada !!

Always come here for the avocado burrito ! I enjoy my burrito with the salsas. Everyone is always so friendly and so quick to make my order. I give this location a 10 plus star !!!!!!

The food is always delicious and service prompt and friendly. The dinning area is rarely clean, I brought it up to the managers attention and nothing has been done about it. If you ever find the dinning area clean, is because Rosalba is working, she is the only one that keeps the place clean.

If you get here a lil before 11 am you may not catch the rush hour lunch line. I've found myself in line for 15 minutes because it gets really crowded on the drive thru. Food is always good that's why its packed! My chicken is always fresh and the line does goes fast but they will be jammed packed by 11am. Food and service is consistent that's why people go to this location. I would plan a early lunch if you want el pollo loco and you are working lol.

Their food is always fresh and amazing. I usually get the queso guacamole burrito with the avocado sauce. So good!

Very fast service overall. Love coming here for a quick bite. If there's any issues, they are quick to help out with anything. Don't hesitate to ask

Don't know why people put this place down. The food is what you get! Today, January 13, 2024, had the chicken bowl with extra chicken, and it was the bom! The staff is doing an amazing job on serving the public with quick and fast to get the order out, and still people are saying poor service. El Pollo Loco, you guys are doing an amazing job, and I want to say thank you for being here in Harbor City and serving the community. Very good food and service for the most part but if you visit not long after opening you're subject to get food that didn't sell before closing the previous night. I've had that experience at various locations in the So Cal area. Check your order before you leave the store

The rice had some hard parts in it but other than that the rest of the food was amazing. The new tapatio wings are so amazing. Definitely recommend.

Food is always cooked done and not over seasoned!

This particular restaurant gets super busy between 11:30 and 1:00, especially in the drive through where the line of cars consistently blocks the back half of the parking lot; if at all avoidable, don't park there. The staff at this location are super friendly and very efficient. Please keep in mind that they have a lot to do if you have a special request and they can't get to you in 5 seconds.

Took a little long to recieve my food since they were putting pickups priority and tables were dirty be prepared to bring your own sanitizer and napkins to wipe down yourself.

Unfortunately I was only provided with 2 small salsa when I placed an order for a family sized meal and when I asked for more because I was only given 2, the guy legit gave me two more small salsas.

The order was incorrect, the chicken was over cooked, this El Pollo Loco didn't meet their own standards. I give it three stars because hopefully they can do better.

Pros: Fresh chicken, usually quick and decent service. Cons: Drive through gets packed/limited parking and depending on the time, lines can be long and later in the evening they tend to run out of chicken.

Don't get me wrong, I love the chicken and sides but almost every time I ask for some onions, they act like they bought them and lies about giving them to you. I love my onions. Don't lie to me saying you put them in the bag.

My parents invited us to this Pollo Loco to Celebrate my husband birthday 🎂. They give us the bottom of the rice I guess it was the last of it, it was burn and all dry

I really love el pollo loco, esp their spicy green sauce, but it was so bad here that I stopped eating it. I also had to wait for them to notice i was waiting for my online order...which was quickly fixed...would have liked utensils in bag...but good thing about the franchise...on your bday you can get a $6 meal...not bad...coupon good for almost a week after my bday.

The workers were friendly and we got our order quickly. It had been years since we were in California and we were looking forward to eating at El Pollo Loco. Unfortunately the years have not been kind to this chain. The food was ok, but not great. Sad to see what this chain has become. Chicken was a little dry, salsa meh. The corn was tasty but the rest of the sides went into the trash.

El Pollo Loco is hit or miss if you actually will get all the items you ordered. However the food you do get is always fresh and healthy. You NEVER have to worry about GETting BAD FOOD at this El Pollo Loco which I cannot say for others in the area. It is a 50/50 chance that you will get everything you ordered so always check your meal before you leave if you have an order that is not a straight forward order. If you order no beans, double check there are no beans. If you order a big family meal + something else, make sure the something else is there. Stuff like that is where I usually have issues. They are really good if you just order standard menu items.

This location (Redondo Beach Blvd., Gardena), has served us sparrow-sized pieces of chicken, one too many times. And they are frequently overcooked. Just can't ignore this. The menu is great, but the experience is sub-par, and I've given many chances. Sorry but thumbs down. 👎

They frequently overcook and dry out the chicken at this location! Twice I've had to return family meals after leaving the drive thru because the chicken was burnt and overcooked. Chicken skin is not supposed to look almost black. Dark meat was so dry it was stiff white. Also they frequently forget items you paid for like tortillas, give you a salad without dressing, add tons of bean water to your black beans, etc. Really incompetent location. Wouldn't even had made this review if it wasn't such a continual problem.

I don't know why I continue to go to this El Pollo Loco on Normandie and Redondo Beach Blvd. They never have one thing or another. Always out of the Creamy Cilantro Dressing. I finally asked the young girl when was the last time they had in stock, answer "I don't know 😕"

The salsa bar looked like someone had been walking thru it since it was everywhere but the guy at the register was trying to clean it up. They also were only accepting debit/credit cards only so some people were just standing there confused

First time ever!! Seriously. They ran out of chicken. Never heard that before but she told me after I stood in a very long line to order. Funny part is she said "you can wait 30 minutes and we should have more". How, where are they getting chicken tonight. Maybe buy it earlier so all the customers dont leave. My two cents.

I regularly enjoy El pollo loco, just not this location. My interaction with the staff was well, however, they can't seem to record an order correctly. This has happened multiple times where ive asked for no pico de gallo on my meal because of my tomato allergy and come home to eat and see pico in my food.

Arrived after 10 pm and they were out of chicken. Not the 1st time this has happened at this location. Everything else was good, but no chicken at the chicken restaurant is poor management and lack of consideration for the customer.

This places randomly closes before Posted times of operation 45 minutes early. Drove sll the way there to see 3 cars in the drive thru but yellow cones were up blocking the drive thru right after the last car in line 20:22 when i arrived they close at 11pm im trying to eat healthy with El Pollo Loco being my go-to but this one won't ever get my business

This is second El Pollo Loco I've visited in the last month and this one got my order wrong too. Unfortunately, I didn't find out until I got home. I'm going to start being one of those people who check their orders while in line. But I won't be back for a very long time. I'm good.

The restaurant was dirty starting with the dinning, the floor was dirty even the restroom was disgusting. In the past the employees were in charge of cleaning, now it looks like no one cleans anymore. In the past the restaurant had personnel to keep it sparkles, now that the restaurant cut of the trays and plates it should be cleaner. I don't know how that restaurant has a rate of :A", it is a fast food restaurant that it should be clean all the time.

We had to change your order three times because they didn't seem to have any of the items on the board. The first one we ordered I get it, it was popular, the tamales. But not having certain drinks or other types of chicken food oh, that's a little absurd. So we ended up ordering two random burritos. They were good, but definitely not why we went there. I've been there for three years to try the tamales and I have yet to try them, lol. They never seem to have them.

Drive thru was extremely slow. Workers were slow and did not seem to care at all. Definitely needs new management. Will not be coming back to this one again.

The chicken was extra dry, dehydrated from being cooked so far in advance. The company needs to diversify the business, only one set of people working there.

When we received our food the gravy was wasting out in the bag. We ordered French fries and there were barely any fries in the bag and they charged us.

Well not that it is any of the employees fault but they had no access to gas. I didn't know because it was very difficult to hear so I stood in line for a significant amount of time until I reached the register. I think it was poor management skills that allowed for the place to remain open when they didn't have much food to sell.

Place was dirty. Floors were in need of cleaning and mopping. I sat at a table and had to clean it and the seat. Got a cup of passion fruit drink , threw it away. No flavor.too watered down. So tried the ice tea, same thing. I then tried another drink with pomegranate it too was watered down but a little better. When I ordered my shrimp taco plate with Mongo I told the girl twice, no tomatoes no onions and she repeated it but when I got home, guess what! Tomatoes and onions. And the food was cold. Never will I go to this store in Gardena again.

This is the terrible restaurant I ever visited. Today I had to stay 30 minutes in line to order 2 pcs of chicken and at the end, I got only one pc without my tortillas. If you like good attention and service, please visit other restaurants. Not this one.

I ordered 12 piece leg and thigh. They were overcooked, dry and totally burnt on the outside. I could not even finish a piece, they were pretty hard to bite. The quality of chicken is no longer there anymore. I was so disappointed.

I went to 3 different locations to buy gift cards for Valentine's day and at two locations they they had some that were out dated holiday gift cards and they all were sticky and dirty 😳 I ended up going to one more El Pollo Loco and they had Christmas Birthday and Easter gift cards that wasn'tdirty, After using all that Gas I got them there SMH!!!

wooo worse place for drive through it has 2 entrances for drive through and only one line that goes super slow. drivers don't know if they show allow others to pass or just ignore. was stuck in drive through after 30 min and line was not moving I just found my way out. bad experience

Chicken was dry the Mac n cheese was very thick n greasy looks like is also been sitting the rice was very dry as well I was very disappointed on the price I pay n the quality I got pollo loco was delicious before but now very pricy n nasty 🤮 will not be going back to this location again .

This location is the worst. I got here before it open cuz I got a early lunch. They open at 10am and they didn’t open the doors till 1040am. I was standing there and the employees did nothing. I knocked on the door and they said that they were still closed. When they did open I asked them why was it closed and they said I could go somewhere else. This location is pathetic and the employees don’t give a dam about customer service.

The food was awful, truly discussing. The nachos was so burned I couldn't even eat the chips, they were too hard, the meat was burned. I sat it out for the birds and they didn't even want it. Smh 1 star is really too good for what I was served.

Drive thru employee was rude. I asked for another salsa and not pico de gallo that she gave me. She preceded to tell me with attitude, "pico de gallo is salsa!" I don't know where she got that I said pico de gallo wasn't salsa? I asked for a other salsa besides the pico de gallo. Then I get my food and get home just to find out it had no flavor! I went this morning, asked for extra dressing. And was told one per order, when I told the rude young lady I will pay for any additional, she closed the drive thru window and didn't go back. On top of that the food had no taste. There's ALWAYS something when I go this location. But this one was the last straw.

I was in the drive-thru window & the person kept saying "may I Take Your Order" over and over....However, there was another car in front of me which prevented me from being able to be close enough to the speaker to say my order. Due to this fact when I was finally able to make it up to the drive thru speaker, the person taking the order must have thought I was ignoring them and then proceeded to rush me thru my order. They also kept cutting me off when I was trying to place my order. EXTREMELY RUDE SERVICE!!. When I got up to the drive thru window, the lady collecting the money SNATCH my money from my hand and basically tossed the bag with my food in it to me. HORRIBLE SERVICE. I certainly will not be telling my Co-Workers to visit this location if this is the type of Employees you have working there. DEPLORABLE Customer Service Skills.

It’s crazy how every time I come here they always miss putting food orders in my bag. I ordered 1 taco and a family meal thru drive thru. Hearing someone respond to my request for each item and then you pull out the drive thru with just half your order charged. I believe they do that on purpose because they need time to cook and don’t expect you to notice until you get home that they actually never charged you for what you ask for. It’s infuriating to order something’s specific and hear them confirm just to get home and it’s not in the bag or you weren’t even charged fire it. On top of that I asked for green sauce the girl said “we don’t have any today” just to go in and complain about me only receiving half my order and see them passing out green sauce. What was that about? SMH.

All curbside and pick ups are via drive thru. No point in ordering ahead if have to wait in that massive line where two directions of traffic are flowing in. Half the time they are out of dressing/sauces/ even chicken! Love the chain but this location is a big miss.

I came here and placed an order for 5 kids meals. They had the audacity to tell me that they could only sell me 2. So because I have more than 2 children and prefer to order them individual meals, I inquired on how long it would take to prepare enough chicken for my order. The response I received was 1 hour. I am sure, that I was being told this to discourage me from placing my order. I have a large family and place large orders all the time but this was the poorest service I have ever received. I only stayed and patronized this restaurant to stand up to their bullying or laziness or whatever. Also.. when they did fill my order in approximately 20 minutes there was still plenty of chicken. So I do not appreciate them treating me as of my order was going to put them out of business tonight.

I waited over 30 minutes in the Drive Thru line, only to find out there's NO CHICKEN ready!!! There was no customer empathy nor consideration. Only that I could order a salad or burrito but chicken was going to be another 45 minute wait. Needless to say I left hungry, frustrated and empty handed. Horrible customer service! Just showed up right now December 4, 2022 at 8:30pm because I placed an order for pick up. Door is locked. Staff member sees me knocking on the door and ignores me. I walk to the drive thru to let them know I’m there to pick up and she says “drive-thru only”. I told her that I had already placed it online. She rudely repeated “drive-thru only” without even explaining why. Hours online show open until 10pm so I’m confused. I placed the order for pick up so it can be faster. Now I’m in the drive thru line behind several cars waiting to pick up an order. In that case could’ve just done drive thru. I even downloaded the app just to place the order. Deleting that immediately.

First the parking smells so bad. Like your in a bathroom. The help never greets you. No one smilled. I know it hot but it was cold in there. The food was dry and they didn't give me everything I ordered. And there were only three people in the restaurant. The chicken fajitas had no peppers like in the picture. I will not be back. I wish I had gone to buy real chicken.

Takes EBT but you have to go in. Has no signs saying that until your already at the drive thru menu ready to order but even if it they did have a sign, it's 2023 alot of restaurants take EBT at drive thru. This is ridiculous they want you to still come in. Come on now!

Worst visit yet to an El Pollo Loco. Didn't get the order right after repeating it three times to the cashier, then they give me attitude. The tostada salad was the smallest yet. I will be finding a new location even though this is literally 100 yards from my house, I will not be coming back.

Been coming here 3 - 4 times a week for over 2 years during lunch (to-go). Bought for 2 - 3 colleagues every time. Last week, new manager was so rude denying my request of large bowls for salsa (I've been getting these without any problems), I decided not to eat here anymore. Her and staff's attitude! Management made BAD HR decision here.

Horrible, they were out of a lot of things. Drink machines were out of order. One of the employees may have been the manager was arguing with a customer who was dissatisfied and have to ask for his money back because his food was not fixed properly. Salsa bar and restaurant were not clean very messy. Just not a good experience and this has not been the first time and I think I'm not going to be going back to this particular El Pollo Loco

I've been on a streak of bad experiences at Pollo Locos all over LA. Tonight I arrived and there were 4 people ahead of me. It was busy but not crazy. Unfortunately this location must have been understaffed because after the cashier took the first lady in line's order, the cashier began putting orders together. For both people who ordered ahead of me and online orders about 4 orders or so. Then she ran outside twice to deliver the curbside delivery. The two women at the front of the line began getting upset. They were yelling at the cashier and almost left. They felt ignored, all of the customers in line did. Around 12 minutes of not getting anyone to take their order, they yelled really loud. Then someone out of sight asked what was going on. The cashier explained how the ladies were upset because she couldn't help them. Then a man appeared at the register, he wasn't very happy about it. The two ladies even exclaimed "What did you say ?" Apparently not happy with his answers. Their experience with this man (manager?) was not smooth and easy. I thought this was bad but got worse when I gave my order. I just tried ordering nicely not bringing up the long wait. This person was not nice and didn't apologize for the wait. I tried using the El Pollo app for a coupon and I scanned it and he said OK and ran my credit card. I looked and noticed it didn't give me the discount. Once again not apologetic he shrugged his shoulders and said "you scanned it". I asked a couple more questions if it is not good at his location. He didn't answer. Then I got a little upset at his apathetic attitude. I brought up the 15 minutes of standing in line with no cashier. He gave me $2 back but didn't apologize and rushed me off. This used to be one of my favorite EPL locations, but now I won't go back.

I ordered 2 chicken avocado with no creamy cilantro and no cheese. He tried to give me one as ordered and the other with everything. When I brought it to their attention, I watched the order being corrected and observed the preparer not giving me all of the pre-packaged avocado. I hope the asshole didn't spit in my food for catching his mistake. Racism could be a factor. REAL TRASHY BE CAREFUL, I won't be back

Well... I actually like the taste of the food here, and I've never had issues with service, but I've had a couple interesting experiences with their Pollo bowls. Today, I found a piece of wadded up plastic wrapping in the bowl, next to the onions... What's going on here? Can't say I'm comfortable eating here anymore.

As I've come to find, with every visit, the food was great. The chicken was moist and flavorful. Sadly, as I've ALSO come to find, the service at this location is hit and miss, favoring miss. My first visit to this location, was a huge disappointment. They were lacking leadership, the flow of food was so mismanaged, that numerous guests were told the wait would be 30+ minutes(having already waited 15 minutes). The counters were a mess, with trash and receipt slips everywhere. Items were missing from the order, and worst of all, some of the chicken was undercooked. In that case, I spoke with a manager the following day, and she assured me it would be addressed, and replaced the entire order. April 1st(yesterday), I placed a mobile order, specified that I would pickup "In Store", and paid for my order. When I arrived, the lobby was locked, but several employees saw me there, and just waved me off. I held up my phone, showing my order, but they just continued to wave me off. I finally decided to get into the drive thru. When I gave them my order info, the worker asked 'is this really right, you want 3 of one salsa type, and 6 of the other?' I confirmed that, yes, it is correct. She said 'That Many?!?' Now, consider this, I ordered (3) Three Whole Chickens, as well as a 2 piece chicken meal. When I got to speak with the manager, he was very dismissive. He says, oh yeah, our dining/lobby area closes at 9pm. I explained that the lobby being closed, was not the issue, it was the lack of service. They could have, and should have, come to the door, asked what I needed, and moved on, but they never Even tried to help me out find out what I needed. He just kept repeating the same thing about the lobby hours, and seemed to really not care about anything more than getting me to leave. I wish I could give them 5 stars. I also with I could give them zero stars. They deserve the zero stars, and the customers deserve service and food quality worthy of 5 stars.

My only complaint is that the restaurant is always out of ranch at around noon. I just wish they would have some more stocked up if it’s a high demand topping. Sometimes the portions are small and they charge for the cilantro cream which is ridiculous.

This is one of the poorest examples of portion size. This item is called a chicken bowl, but has less that a leg size portion of chicken. It needs to be called a bean and rice bowl. The chicken here is almost always old. I’m disappointed over 50% months of the time. This restaurant needs better management.

Dining area is always dirty. Customer service is less than average. Every time I order from this restaurant there’s always something missing like chips or tortillas. I’ve also seen employees refuse to open the dining area and only take drive through orders. It wouldn’t be problem if the food actually tasted fresh. You’re better off driving to another Pollo Loco.

Dear Management, This is my third time posting a review about your place. My wife went to your restaurant to pick up an order she placed on line. She wanted to just pick up her order and leave. Instead she had to go through the drive-thru cause the door was shut. Basically, everyone had to go through the drive-thru. Isn't the whole purpose of online order is to pick up and leave right away? Well, that was just the beginning. As you can see in the picture. The chicken was, yet again , hard as a rock, burnt, and inedible. We couldn't find one single part of a chicken out of 12 pieces my wife ordered that was edible and she was not going back there and wait another 25 mins for her order. We just wasted our valuable time and money again. Management needs to take serious action, cause this is unacceptable.

The worst experience I have wowwww we waiting like 20min in line no cashiers on duty wowwwww no lemons 🍋 bad service food is ok but to be honest the whole team at this location is orrible please people go to another pollo loco another location please tables dirty floor dirty attitude bad and worst experience 👎👎👎👎

Poor service. Chicken was over-cooked and dry. Nothing like the traditional Pollo Loco Chicken from other locations. All staff members are young with no experience. Managers appeared to be without any concern to the operation of this Pollo Loco location. I observed an African-American customer in front of me, attempt to place his order. Where he felt bothered by the response of the young lady taking his order that he walked out of the store. I then observed a Hispanic lady who did not speak English attempted to place her order. The young ladies taking her order who were also Hispanic, belittled this lady by saying they didn't speak Spanish. This lady had to alter her order because the young ladies told this lady they were out of items she was requesting to be included in her order. Frankie Hernandez and the African-American Manager had no concerns for the issues which took place.

Terrible location. Drive thru took way too long. They tried to charge me again, even though I paid it through their mobile app. No utensils. Chicken are really small for what you pay for, and they got my sides wrong.
