Best Korean-Chinese dishes I had in USA, no joke. I was visiting LA from out of state and ordered their delicious black bean noodles and spicy noodles using doordash. The food was great and the noodles were fanatic. Black bean noodles had perfect balance of sweet and savory while the spicy noodles had the perfect amount of kick to it while staying warm. Also, I have to talk about their cabbage kimchi which comes for FREE as a side dish. Their western style cabbage kimchi was unbelievable and I wasn't expecting it from the first place. It was better than any cabbage kimchi I had in Korea and one must try it if you are a fan of any type of kimchi. Also, the lady over the phone was so nice. I made a mistake in my order (because I'm dumb and can't read menus correctly) but the lady corrected my order without any fuss. Bless her. I would be coming back to this place if I ever come back to LA again. Truly a gem of a place and must try for a hungry Korean-Chinese immigrants.
This was amazing! Hot tea and kimchi when you sit down, family-style portions, and absolutely delicious. If you want great food at a surprisingly affordable price, go here now!
Best semi greasy chow mein I've had. I just wish there was more beef than veggies, next time I'll have to let them know but regardless it's a five star ma and pop spot.
Bomb AF!!!! I live in LA and this place is the closest thing to a good decent Chinese taste. The food isn't really much greasy, how I like it. Chow me in is just about proportioned, not greasy at all, noodles the right size and proportion! Kung Pao is to die for!!!! This food got taste! 💥💥💥
If you want real chinese food, this is a place to come to don't waste your time anywhere else.
Always awesome food and service. They will stand on their heads (just kidding) to serve you. My family and I have been coming here since they first opened almost 30 years ago.
You can't go wrong with this restraunt, firstly their noodles are on a different level with their outstanding sauces. Thier prices are cheap and combined with their huge portion sizes creates a perfect restaunt for groups. The staff can speak english, korean, and if course chinese. This place is worth a try for everyone!
I was taking care of some paperwork near by and the wonderful aroma took me in to order for takeout.I ordered the egg drop soup and a chicken lunch special it was very good just like the smell good authentic Chinese food I will be going back for the lemon chicken. The only thing that was missing was the condiments I guess you have to ask for it they did not offer.
BEST CHINESE RESTAURANT AROUND!!! great service and great food! My mom has been going here for quite a while, and they know her by name . Always very friendly and fresh hot and delicious food.. 12/28/2022 I can never say anything bad about the food here it is beyond delicious. Although the service has gone down the drains! For example, today, the server tried taking another tables order before ours, and the table told him we were there first. We need a refill for our drinks and i.am.litterally waving a napkin and using the reflection in the mirror. Another table sat down by us, and the mother turned her chair say "can we order now!" Same for behind me as well. The customer was saying," Excuse me over and over, finally he got up, and can you help me. This is also our second visit with service like this. I told my mom we can try it one more and if the service is the same it's time to.find a new restaurant
Chinese food here is delicious. No skimping on the serving and the taste is fresh, hot and never a let down. Their green beans and orange chicken is my go to dishes as well as their chicken fried rice or pork fried rice. Their customer service is always a happy go lucky attitude and a very clean restaurant. You won't be disappointed.
This is the Chinese food I’ve been searching for since moving to the area. I’m beyond pleased and will definitely be telling others. I ordered way too much for my family but nothing went to waste. It was just as good after heating up. We were the only English speaking table in a room full of happy people enjoying their food. I actually ordered plates because I saw what others were eating and loved ALL of it. Great atmosphere, great food, not cheap, but we’ll worth it.
Food here is really good! and that's what it counts the most for me. Their flavors are really good and service is decent as well. This place has been here for many years and although it's not the most clean place around, it's totally worth the trip and money. They also have few outdoor seating as well during covid19 pandemic period.
We ordered the dinner for two and had plenty of food to share and take home. The hot tea was amazing and had free refills. I would recommend the fish in garlic sauce. Also, the hot and sour soup was perfect for the cold evening.
I don't expect the service to be great at a small joint that is always busy trying to please us with great food. Don't care much about the negative reviews about their service as long as I am able to get the best Korean-Chinese food in town. Their sweet and sour pork is the best I have tasted anywhere in the US cities.
Update: This place never disappoints. The food taste is consistent and hit the spots each time. Tried majority of their lunch special and I can say - you can't go wrong here. Few things I highly recommend trying: - "Mixed vegetable dish" - it's HUGE, has mustard sauce (for a little zing, but can request to be on a side if you do not like it), thinly sliced vegetables and meat. All mixed and tied together with super chew (translucent) noodles - Garlic Fried Chicken - super flavorful (Korean) fried chicken. Just be careful when eating the it as there are crushed bones. Highly recommend the place. A hidden gem in a tiny plaza, that's close by shopping markets. Swing by here to get lunch/dinner after your groceries. We tried 3 dishes and all were delicious. - Jia Jiang Mian - noodles in black soybean sauce and small chunk of pork (they have vegetarian version too). The sauce is on a more "watery" side and lighter flavored than other place I have eaten. However, the sauce clings well to super springy noodles (very al dente) and sweet onions are nice, tender, and sweet. It was a nice change and hit my craving for this dish as it paired super well with - Sweet and Sour pork - the pieces were super crispy and there is plenty of them in the serving. The sour/sweet sauce was well balanced and not too over powering. As to veggies, your usual suspects of green peppers, onions, and pineapple. - Jjamppong (spicy seafood noodle soup) - I got this mild, but all I can say is... GET IT. It has super deep seafood flavor, smoky, well seasoned. I can say the ingredients were cooked in the wok first then noodles + soup was added in the bowl. Highly recommend. I also thoroughly enjoyed their homemade kimchi and serving of hot tea. The prices for the area is adequate and I will definitely coming back to try more dishes. PS. They can split the order of (both) noodles for easy sharing from the kitchen.
I love this restaurant the food is really good and the environment is excellent
Our first lunch in LA🥰Really a great experience! Their sweet and sour pork lunch special ($16) is served with white rice / fried rice (your choice!), soup, and a fried spring roll. Highly recommend it especially you like sweet and sour flavor!😋Great portion and delicious taste! The Jajongmyeon ($13) also worth a try. And they can help to split the noodle into two portions with an additional fee of $0.5. Don’t worry about the portion, it’s a lot!!! Don’t worry about the taste, it’s delicious!!! Don’t worry about the price, it’s fair!!!
AMAZING FOOD! I’m so inlove with the sweet and sour sliced fish! It’s perfectly fried every time! Al their soups are delicious too and the egg rolls are delicious too! Have been here twice and have yet to be disappointed! Can’t wait to come back!
This place is so good everytime I come I order my favorite soups the food was delicious as always great restaurant 😋
Been coming to this restaurant for years, still great food and service! My son love the black bean noodles, as I did when I was young and memories of my parents taking me to eat noodles. Also try to deep fried shrimp with sweet sauce, it is to die for~
Food was delicious 😋 sea food champo, shrimp fried rice, shrimp chowmien
So yummy really delicious comforting food! Authentic flavor and the Jia jang mien is da bomb!!! Got an extra on to go it’s so good!

Very good Korean/Chinese food. Their jajangmyeon and tangsuyuk are as authentic as I remembered it from my time living in Korea. I highly recommend this place to friends and family. Lotsa options to choose from. Great find in my opinion.
Absolutely tasty "homemade style" dishes, wonderful genuinely friendly/helpful staff (not the insincere smiling for just tips). Thr only bummed is an hour or more drive from my city. But the long commute is worth every penny
In America specifically at south calf is best chiness resturant test is like when it was same flavor special black been nodddle is delicious better then Korean town
The best Sam Sun JjamPong in the California Bokhaeru’s Samsun Jjamppong is absolutely incredible. The noodles have the perfect thickness, the seafood — especially the shrimp and sea cucumber — is generously portioned, and the smoky wok flavor is just amazing. It’s no exaggeration to say this is the best jjamppong in California.

seafood beef jjangpong here is best ever !! rich heavenly broth perfectly cooked tender squid beef morsels vegetables tasty shrimp fresh tasting noodles/ service is fine occasionally not so great (for non Chinese speakers basic English good) decor plain but great food makes up for everything

My family meet up location for close to 20 years. Tastes haven't changed since we first started coming here. This place has been known as a favorite for family gatherings people can always rely on. Hopefully the social media foodies that are always trying to "discover" the next thing don't take over this place.
Great food that is reasonably priced. Staff is very friendly and the food comes out quick and hot! Their spicy seafood noodle soup is their specialty and it never disappoints.
You come here for the food not the atmosphere. They have a lunch special daily which has your standard fair. I would also try their japong mein and jajan mein. Both are delicious. Wait staff is pretty fast and attentive. Place gets busy at lunch though on weekends. Spicy shrimp with garlic sauce is pretty tasty too.
About right for a Korean-Chinese place. I don't usually crave this type of food, but it hits the spot when I do. This is my go to for Chinese style Cold Noodles. I'm not sure if it's actually on the menu though. One of the servers is very friendly. Parking is not too difficult.
Fried Fish in Special Garlic Sauce. Must get!! This is a hole in the wall place. The tables are a little dirty. The decor and furnishing is dated. The place is a little run down. But hey, the food is good and reasonably priced. They serve what I believe is Korean style Chinese food. The owners a very nice.
The tangsuyuk sauce was quite thin, and the shrimp dish lacked flavor. The service, however, was excellent. We were a bit disappointed that fortune cookies were not available.
A restaurant with delicious Jjamppong. If you order 2 Jjamppong and 2 Jjajang for a family of 4 and ask to share, you can each share 4 Jjamppong and Jjajang. We also ordered pork tangsuyuk on the side, the amount will be enough. I think I'll just order 4 Jjamppong next time instead since it was better. It's okay if you don't order Jjajangmyeon.
Found this place randomly while searching for a good Chinese Restaurant in the South Bay. The food was decent. The combination fried rice was not as oily as I’m used so I was confused to whether it is great or just a lighter iteration lol Mongolian beef was really good. Chow mein was ok too. The fried pork dumplings were excellent. Service was quick. Food was ready in 15 mins. I think it’s a good back up spot if your usual spot has long wait times.
Nice atmosphere, nice staff. Because of my ethnicity, I'm used to flavorful dishes. The two dishes were good but tasted like they were missing a key ingredient to make the taste pop.

It was interesting having Chinese food prepared by Koreans. This place had a huge menu selection of Chinese dishes, some come with a Korean twist. They have a large lunch menu with reduced pricing for traditional dishes that most people love.
They have the best Chinese food in the area. Fresh and made to order.
Always crowded for lunch. I go sometimes for their chanpong but I wish they were more consistent. Sometimes it is very good but sometimes it is just ok. Food comes out relatively quickly. Great place for lunch!

Excellent food at a reasonable price; the service could have been better... there were 3 of us installers from Southwest HVAC, so we were a little dirty and we didn't mind being placed next to the restrooms; but we felt ignored when no one stopped to check on us back there and it took longer for us to get the check which caused us to take a lengthier lunch!
Out of my comfort zone I was making a delivery to California from New York, and although I do travel fast foods like Chinese and pizza I usually eat within 100 miles of where I live. This was a new experience even from placing the order on the phone I could tell it was a little confusing and difficult. The food was, well let me say I wouldn’t be eating there again and the prices were very very high. I purchased food for myself and the security guard where I was making the delivery and although she thought the food was OK by no means would she have eaten there again either I was told.
I'm a vegetarian that can only eat certain vegetables, so when I asked the lady to tell me what are the assortment of vegetables you have? She got agitated and said it was too many to name. When I told her I'm allergic to some vegetables she finally told me, but charged me a $1 extra for altering my order. The icing on the cake was once I received my order it was extremely light in weight, and I knew at that moment without opening the styrofoam container that it barely had any food in it. I was correct in my assessment although the food taste great, the portion was entirely too small and not indicative of the $15 I was charged. To say that I was disappointed in my little China restaurant experience would be an UNDERSTATEMENT.
I've been coming this restaurants for almost 20 years, and they have the best Chinese dishes in entire LA County. Servers also worked for very long time over tens of years so they know me well as well. The only reason I'm giving my review today (after almost 20 years later) is that after the ownership changed about a year or two, I really do not like the owner's attitude and service. She absolutely has NO service type of mindset at all. When customer walks in, she still sat on the table next to kitchen and points her finger to empty table to take a seat, what the heck?? She been reading a magazine. Never seen any restaurants owner sitting in table, pointing finger of empty tables to take seats, and keep reading magazine... without good food and good servers they have, I definitely guarantee this restaurants will go out of business soon!!!!
Maybe, Cheff is changed?? Taste wasn't good like before...
If you are Hispanic do not come here. They discriminate badly. My family and I come here a lot because We love the Hot Noodle soup. But every time we come they act like they don’t want to give us service. They don’t bring the menus to our table they don’t offer drinks , no kimchi nothing we have to get up every time and ask for the menu. But you see people coming in that are their same culture and they attend to them as soon as they sit them down. If they don’t want another race then mine as well post it at the entrance. Very bad service specially the older man with the glasses
Not bad but terribly overpriced.
The servers dont like their job. I went in one day 1 hour before they closed. When it was cloaing time. A lady with a computer clocked them out and they continued working. I felt bad. I gave the server a 20$ tip. They gave it to the lady in the computer (their boss).
First let me say it's been over 5 years since I came here and I was reminded why not to come they are rude no customer service skills whatsoever I had the Kung pao chicken it was bland no flavor and we got chicken chow mein it was horrible spent $41 to just throw it in the trash. Never again food is overpriced and bland better off going to Panda Express
I placed my order by phone ahead of time, but it still took 40 minutes for the food to come out. When it was finally served, the staff practically threw it on the table, causing the soup to spill. The jjajangmyeon only tasted like plain black bean paste. The service has been frustrating every time I visit, but I still gave tips out of courtesy. Today, I decided not to leave a tip because the experience was unacceptable — and the staff even confronted me about it. Extremely disappointing
