The bake potato was hot and delicious and just the right size to hit the spot. It is made all the way with chopped beef. Bathrooms are clean and hand sanitizer available at the counter. Old country tunes in the radio.

Great food and very friendly service. Loved the brisket sandwich. Sausage and ribs plate was also nice. Sausage isn't spicy but nicely flavored. Loaded baked potato hit the spot too. Folks behind the counter were so gracious and friendly - with kids and the usual confusion that comes with ordering with them, any place that takes it in stride is always a must-go in my books.

Great place between Austin and Houston. Excellent brisket, great ribs, and great potato salad. Also would recommend the buttermilk pie. Didn't like the coleslaw, but that's not really the highlight anyway. Clean bathroom and nice atmosphere.

Ohh Lost Pines. Thank you for allowing me the pleasure of enjoying your wonderful BBQ sandwiches. We were on the way to Matamoros 🇲🇽, when we got the sudden urge for BBQ. We took a chance with Lost Pines and came out with a W! The brisket was delicious. The sauce was a delight. Anddddd the staff were extremely kind and helpful even though they were almost closed. Shouts out to y'all 💪🏾 My amazing perfect gf loved the Mac and cheese as well ⭐ 🧀

Stop here if you're driving Houston to Austin! I love these small local restaurants when we find a good one. As soon as we walked in, I said "it smells good" - the smell of good BBQ that will likely taste good. The customer at the counter said "it IS good". I popped into restroom (clean!) while husband ordered, and when I came back out and saw the size of the rib on his plate I said WOW. I have never seen a beef rib that large at any BBQ spot we've been to. Ridiculously large. Get an arm workout while you eat. Husband ended up taking half of it to go it was so large. He also said it was delicious (I will take his word since I can no longer eat meat), cooked well, tender, tasty. I had a few of their sides - baked potato, green beans, cole slaw - and those were great as well. Fresh food. Staff was super nice and friendly. Service was fast. Restaurant was clean. I did giggle when I handed my husband the plastic fork I grabbed and saw it compared to the size of the rib on his plate, I just looked at him and told him best to use his hands. Next time we make the drive, we definitely plan to stop again. Don't bother with stopping at Buccees for a chopped beef sandwich ... drive a bit further down the road for this instead.

Best beef rib I've had in years!!! I've paid $105 for a beef rib at a restaurant at home in Houston only to end up feeding it to the dog it was doo awful. Y'all are way undercharging for these damn good ribs! I have the green beans and the coleslaw which is not a mayonnaise base so it means I can eat it with my rib and it was all really good. Highly enjoyed it and recommend

Best BBQ we’ve ever had! We picked up chicken, turkey, sausage, and chopped beef for our daughter’s graduation party and it was a hit! The turkey is our favorite and we visit often!

Just stopped in on our way thru...we're from Washington state and we were hungry for BBQ! Ribs were extremely tender and the brisket melts on your mouth! Glad we stopped!

On my way out of Giddings, I made a quick stop at Lost Pines BBQ and grabbed a 2-meat plate. The marbled brisket was cooked / smoked to perfection - it had the perfect balance of texture and flavor. The sausage was great - I think it was German sausage. And the parsley potatoes were SO good. I think I will get a quart of those next time. And the BBQ sauce was really good - not too mustardy and not too sweet - just a great unique flavor that does not over power the deliciousness of the main attractions. They have a really great selection of sides both hot and cold. Next time I'll have to eat inside or outside in the covered picnic area and get a baked potato.

Visiting from CA, we tried a few bbq spots in Austin, Houston, Sealy, Katy, and Giddings. Out of the 5 places we tried, Lost Pines was our favorite. We met the grandson of the original owner who runs the place, the staff was incredibly friendly.

Food was very poor. All the meat was really dry. The Mac and Cheese was mediocre. Brownie was bland. Pudding tasted like instant pudding.

It tasted like it had been cooked in a crock pot... Absolutely the worst barbecue place I've been in in many many years.

Ordered my wife said the baked potatothe brisket plate with beans and Cole slaw. It was absolutely nasty, tough and no smoke flavor whatsoever... I don't think the place even has a barbecue pit... It tasted like it had been cooked in a crock pot... Absolutely the worst barbecue place I've been in in many many years.
