Last week, four of us went for dinner. We ordered some delicious appetizers followed by a mixed grill for four. The meat was cooked to perfection, incredibly tender and flavorful. The restaurant is very spacious and well-lit, with a tasteful decor that is both elegant and welcoming. The waiter who served us was very friendly and professional. The restrooms were spotless, which is something I always pay close attention to. The prices are very reasonable for the quality of the food, especially the top-quality cuts of meat. It's conveniently located near the train station and right next to the courthouse. The best parking option is the lot opposite the train station, which is free on weekends, although it's usually paid parking. Without a doubt, it's a place we'll return to again and again.
We arrived on Friday at 11:30 pm from our trip and they served dinner to two people without any problem… we went back the next day to eat the meat that had been mentioned the day before and it lived up to expectations… the T-bone steak that the waiter recommended was excellent… the service and attention were also top-notch. Congratulations on your excellent work.
Absolutely fantastic!!! We loved it! We ordered the mixed grill, and all the meat was cooked to perfection and incredibly delicious. It was enough for the four of us, as we were with two adults who don't eat much either; they usually just need an appetizer or something else. Of course, we always order dessert, and here we were delighted and surprised by the preparation, presentation, and how delicious it was. The restaurant is very nice, bright, and peaceful. We must highlight the staff's service and friendliness—they were so kind and welcoming, a 10 out of 10! We'll definitely be back to try more of the delicious dishes we saw. P.S.: Those rib-eye steaks coming off the grill were amazing! Next time, I'm definitely going to order them.
Brutal!
One of the best restaurant experiences, first and foremost, the waiter's service was wonderful. He helped us and guided us on what to order. The food was excellent. We ordered the grill, croquettes, and cheese board, and we'll definitely be back. I also want to give the grill master and the entire staff a 10/10 shoutout.
We were looking for a place to grab a bite to eat while waiting for the train and we found the right place. The place is large, clean, well-lit, and the furniture is very original. The bathrooms are spacious and very clean. The food is delicious, and the prices are in line with the quality. The staff is very pleasant and attentive, and Jhonny is incredible. I've encountered few waiters as wonderful, friendly, and approachable. He even shared our jokes and recommended some snacks, which we appreciated. Highly recommended. If you're near the Renfe station, don't miss it; it won't disappoint.
Excellent experience at Bovino Asado! We had a delicious meal, with an asado that reminded us so much of Argentina. The meat was cooked to perfection, juicy, and incredibly flavorful. The empanadas were simply spectacular, with a perfect dough and a delicious filling. In addition, the service was outstanding. The entire team served us with kindness and efficiency, making the experience even better. Without a doubt, a place to return to and recommend. If you're looking for an authentic Argentinian-style asado, this is the place!
That was probably the best chuletón of my life. And I'm no newbie when it comes to the good beef. I've run my own dry ageing facility in Australia, and I chase the good vaca vieja all over this bovine-gifted country; this meal really stands out. I'm thinking about staying an extra day in Gijon just to eat it again.
If you're a meat lover, this place is sure to share your passion. They have a wide variety of cuts, some of which are hard to find in other restaurants, and they also focus heavily on aged meats. The service is fast and efficient, and the prices aren't unreasonable for what they offer. A place you'll definitely want to visit again.
Very good food, not the cheapest but fitting for the price.
No pedimos postres.
Asador Parrilla Bovino is located near the train station, in a very large space with a warm and inviting atmosphere, ideal for large groups and relaxed meals without feeling crowded. The place is attractive, well-appointed, and has that classic steakhouse feel that encourages you to order meat without hesitation. We were a large group and shared several portions of croquettes, salads, a cheese board, Iberian pork shoulder, rib-eye steaks, and desserts. Everything that wasn't meat was frankly delicious: creamy croquettes, well-executed appetizers, and decent desserts, as many other customers have mentioned, highlighting the overall quality of the food. Their specialty is dry-aged meats. In our case, the meat was tasty, well-cooked, and tender, but not spectacular or particularly memorable in flavor. Decent, yes; amazing, no. This largely aligns with other reviews that indicate the product is good, although sometimes expectations are a bit higher than the final result. The service was correct and professional, although somewhat impersonal for such a large bill. The bill came to over €450, and frankly, a final touch like a complimentary shot was missed—something many customers mention when the bill is high, and which wasn't included here. In short: a good grill, a spacious and pleasant place, solid food, and well-cooked meats, although lacking that "wow" factor some might expect given its price and reputation. Recommended for groups and celebrations, but with room for improvement in the details and overall experience.
Friday, January 16, 2026, 8:30 PM 2 people Starter: Wagiu beef jerky with Parmesan shavings: good, a generous portion and the jerky was very good. Main course: Iberian pork shoulder and Iberian pork loin; we ordered it medium-rare. The shoulder was good but a bit overcooked: too cooked for our taste, but flavorful and tender. The loin was very good: flavorful, tender, and cooked to perfection. Side dishes: French fries and Padrón peppers, good but not excellent. We didn't order dessert. Wines: very expensive wine list. We ordered a basic Rioja that turned out to be mediocre at best. Service: correct. Coffee and a glass of Torres 10 brandy. Cost: €110 (€26 for the wine and €3 for the brandy). General service: There were two of us, and we were given a very small table for two. A blast of hot air was blowing directly on my head because there was an air conditioning vent above us. I mentioned it to the waiter, who made no comment and didn't offer us another table, even though the dining room wasn't even a quarter full. My tablemate switched places with me, saying he didn't mind. When we left, he told me that the hot air had been blowing on him intermittently throughout dinner, and that it didn't bother him (it bothered me). A nasty touch. My conclusion: I'll return knowing what to avoid. The good stuff, really good. The wine list is best avoided; at most, order by the glass. Pay attention to where you're seated (there are three air conditioning vents in the dining room).
It wasn't what I expected from a grill with that menu. For the few dishes that needed attention, except for the pork ribs, the meat arrived lukewarm and cooled down quickly—bad. The Angus beef with gristle was tough, and some pieces were lumpy. The skirt steak was just okay. The croquettes were good. Anyway, it was time to get together, and we chose this place. The waiter was always very attentive.
Worst hamburger ever! While chewing the meat, I had to swallow hard knots and nerves many times. Well-prepared ground meat cannot be like this.
While my experience with the weekly grill menu was alright, the weekend's offerings had much to be desired. The grilled vegetables could have been better, cooked longer and without the seafood and meat flavour that can put vegetarians off. The various grilled meats could have been cooked longer again. A meagre side of fried potatoes was presented apart and could have been more traditionally placed below the meat. The amount of meat was also smaller than what you would expect elsewhere. Considering the poor showing, the price was quite painful at 18 euros a head, water, meat and vegetables being quite a simple affair. The dishes really need to have more flair at these prices to give customers more bang for their buck.
We booked for 8 people after seeing the menu on their website, as the offerings and prices suited us. Upon arrival, we noticed that the physical menu did not match the one on the website. When we mentioned this, we were told that the prices were from 2018, without any explanation or apology. The waiter was curt and dismissive throughout the entire meal, giving the impression that any question or inquiry was unwelcome. Furthermore, we were seated under a stream of hot air, which was uncomfortable. The food was decent, but it didn't compensate for an experience marred by outdated information and subpar service, possibly influenced by the busy schedule typical of this time of year. ——————————- RESPONSE TO THE OWNER: The website URL is visible in the attached photos. Despite not knowing about it, the waiter responded very casually, as if we weren't the first to mention it, and even seemed to know when the prices were set. Regarding the air, we obviously mentioned it, but it didn't help much.
