Stopped here during lunch time on a Sunday. The restaurant was not overly busy with dine in orders. We were promptly seated and had menus quickly. Started out with cream cheese crab puffs which were really good and came out hot. From there we ordered the Shanghai pork dumplings and tamarind seafood hotpot. Both items were delicious. The dumplings were steamed well and had a great filling with sauce to pour over them. The tamarind seafood hotpot was not your traditional hotpot but was really great. It came put together already in a container but arrived hot with a little flame underneath to keep it hot. It had various types of seafood, fish, calamari and shrimp along with some veggies and a wonderful broth that had a nice sweet and very mild spicy flavor. Between splitting the appetizer, dumplings and hotpot we were full but not overly full. The larger dining room was really nicely set up, was a bit cold but tolerable with a sweater. Overall the food was really good, service was good and hoping to visit to try more soon!

A local spot in town that I unfortunately don't go to enough. Went the other day and was reminded of how delicious their food was. They have a variety of dim sum and so many options for pork, poultry and noodles. Their Crispy Skin Chicken is always my go to, the flavor is extremely pleasant.

Ginger Cafe is the most relaxing place we have ever eaten at. The atmosphere was calm even with other customers in the restaurant and we went during a busy time at around 2 pm on Saturday afternoon for lunch. There was no wait time to be seated. We just walked in and ther asked how many to be seated, and they walked us to our seats. The food was great, big servings, service was great, waitress & waiter were very certious, friendly, and kind. They always made sure my family & I had everything we needed with refills on our beverages. They made sure my 2 year old grandson had a booster seat and everything he needed.

We were driving to Southern California and decided to stop by and get some food. Found ginger cafe in Gilroy. Really nice clean restaurant. Great service and perfect smoothing decoration. Waiters and waitresses were very nice and attentive. We order fish and duck, let me tell you I had tried duck before in a very fancy restaurant and I didn’t like but this time I decided to give a try more time. It was delicious really good flavor and cooked perfectly. My partner order fish and it was the whole fish very tasty and so much flavor. We loved This place and if you are in the Gilroy area make sure to stop by and try their food.

I ordered take out yellow curry with tofu. This was the best yellow curry I've had in a long time. It was loaded with tofu, green beans, eggplant, carrots, few fresh mushroom slices and some onions. The soup part of the curry is what made it delicious. The only thing that I would have liked better is if they used potatoes instead of eggplant. I did get a side of rice to go with the curry. That was not included.

In A Nutshell: -The Ginger Cafe location in Gilroy is very good. -They had outdoor seating (before it was banned due to stay-at-home orders 12/6/20). -The service was excellent, I hope they can keep their staff. -The food is very plentiful, the dim sum, fried rice & pad thai were all excellent & super tasty. -If you are shopping at the Gilroy Premium Outlets in the future & need some food, I think you should consider eating a meal here. Overall, the food quality is high-end & felt pretty healthy w/ good ingredients, definitely good food!

As we were driving toward the cafe we were telling ourselves not to expect too much as the actual dishes might disappoint. It didn't. All the dishes were great. Its a fusion of asian flavors so it didn't have a monotonous flavor that chinese dishes often have. Food service was quick too. Great restaurant option when in Gilroy.

This is my go to restaurant in Gilroy to fuel shopping or travel. They have a nice lunch menu. I have had the curry and some other stir fry dishes. The restaurant was very empty. There was only one other couple here. It was very nice to have the space but makes you worry about why there aren’t more people eating here. We ordered basic egg roll, the dim sum sampler, combination chow mein, and Shanghai Noodle Three delight. The egg roll came with 2 rolls. They were the perfect amount of crispy and flavor. The dim sum sampler was mostly average. The only piece we could not eat because we found it disgusting was the chicken mochi. My partner said the chow mein was something he would come back for. If that was the only thing he ate it would be 5 stars. I ate the Shanghai Noodle Three delight. It was not a delight. It advertised having items like noodles, bean sprouts, onions, chicken, egg, shrimp, and calamari. After ordering I found it is supposed to come with 3 pieces of shrimp and 3 pieces of calamari. My plate only had two pieces of calamari. At first I was disappointed there wasn’t more calamari, but then I tasted it. The calamari tasted rubbery, tough, and no good flavor. When I brought the problem of only having 2 pieces of calamari and they only said it usually tastes like that and I should have gotten three pieces. (So no solution.) My advice to the restaurant, if you know the majority of your customers think the calamari is disappointing, don’t serve calamari. The dish would have been much better if you put more shrimp and deleted the calamari. (Without up charging customers.) The servers were kind and friendly. It did seem weird how busy they were when there were only two tables eating at the place. We barely saw them but they did fill up our drinks before we thought to ask.

Food is decent but dishes are very salty even without the sauce. They have very few waiters/waitresses so we had to wait for a very long time to get our orders in, get the utensils and plates for the kids and for payment. Vegetarian options are good.

There was no taste in food and noodles were undercooked! And their washrooms were so stinky and unclean! Such unhygienic place! Never going back again!

Four simple chinese dishes kept us waiting for 1+ hour since 2:30pm on Wednesday. We had no food for the first 45 minutes. What a joke. Foods are just okay, very mediocre. This restro is basically not authentic for both food and experience. If anyone ever likes it, I would think that's a joke, or maybe they have not had any authentic Chinese food before.
