Denise greeted us with such a welcoming and warm energy! I have been to this restaurant previously and she has been my server each time, and every time she is amazing. She checked up on my niece and I multiple times to see if we were enjoying our food and refilled our drinks for us. 10/10 service from her each and every time. I have been coming to Don tequila since it opened. It is always friendly and fun to come. My go to waitress already knows what I’m drinking and eating here. They have seen my kids grow up over the years that we have come here to eat.

Food was 10/10. We had the pan seared salmon with mango salsa... chef's kiss. Best mashed potatoes I ever had. And a good portion size. I will say though it's very noisy there on a Friday night. It's very hard to have a conversation; not recommended for a first date. Drinks are strong as well. Mango mojito and passion fruit margarita are highly suggested to try. Super friendly, fun staff that served us.

This was our second time in a week to this place. I came back for the Guava frozen margarita and it was as good as the first time. Great music and atmospheres, the staff makes you feel welcome as if you are visiting a good friend at there home.

I come here A lot. It's the perfect place to go after a long walk at Forest Park. I really like getting cocktails w a few apps. They have an outside area that works out well for me,( I always have my dog w me). The staff is always attentive. I have had tacos and the Enchiladas, both a solid choice. Glad it's there!

Went on a Thursday evening around 5pm during happy hour and it was great. We ordered the empanada, fried calamari, chicken tacos, elote asado, a mango Margarita, and 2 Stella's. Everything came to to 50 with gratuity included. The food was great. The atmosphere was great. I really enjoyed it.

We came during happy hour and had such a great time! The margaritas and mojitos were delicious and perfectly made. We ordered a mix of food; tacos, empanadas, buffalo wings, quesadillas and everything was fresh and flavorful. Our waitress, Dennys, was amazing! She was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. Definitely a spot worth visiting for great drinks, tasty food, and excellent service.

Don Tequila is where we go when we want to chill and get a little silly. Why? The drinks are always on point. My personal favorite is the frozen guava margarita. Sorry, but no one makes it this delicious with real bits of guava paste in every sip. So, it's well worth the price. Also, the music and atmosphere lend themselves to a night of what's sure to be friendly fun. The staff works hard, yet are always super friendly. The food is always great. My preference is the chicken quesadilla 😋 Perfect place for a group. I recommend the seating outside if it's a first date kind of outing, so that the music doesn't drown out your conversation. Otherwise, inside is where it's at for a festive ambience.

It was our first time visiting Don Tequila Urban Cantina, I must say I was very impressed. I always passed by and meaning to stop in, but since the bus lanes have taken up parking spaces it was difficult to park. This place does however offer valet service. Thank God!!.Big Plus. The minute we walked in the music, atmosphere and hostess were amazing. The service from the staff is amazing as well. The guacamole guy who makes the guac right in front of you is friendly and that too was delicious. The food and drinks too were fulfilling as well. This place gets five stars and will definitely be back.

The happy hour was honestly one of the best I’ve been to. The drink specials were amazing, strong but well-balanced, and the prices were very reasonable. The appetizers were perfect for sharing and packed with flavor.

Katherine was an absolute amazing waitress. She was very attentive to my guest and I and always kept a smile throughout the service. She also accommodated my table with love and kind gestures. I had the coconut margarita that was great the passionfruit margarita that was great two fish tacos that was excellent. Loved it. Well season French toast serve with fruit was good. Drinks are nice. Denise and the staff were such a delight! The minute I stepped in, I was greeted by the wonderful ladies of this establishment and I immediately knew it would be a great experience. The food, the music, the drinks AND the vibes?! Everything was 👩🏽‍🍳💋!! It's rare I'll give a full 5 star review but this place deserves it. We started with the guac and it tasted super fresh, plus the chips were crunchy and salted perfectly. I got the shrimp tacos and they were filled to the brim of that tortilla! I don't even like tomatoes but they came with this roasted tomato mixture and it was pretty delicious. There's 3 tacos in each taco order so I definitely feel like it was worth it! Drinks were super tasty too. I got the Dom Tequila Mule and I was a bit skeptical when it came to me looking red but it was SO YUMMY. I would definitely come back for more of these great vibes. Denise was kind enough to mention that she liked my aura once I walked in and that resonated so well for me. I would love to see what their happy hour is about too 👀 I totally recommend coming here!

I came with my husband and daughter for dinner! The food was fantastic and very flavorful. I had a grilled chicken quesadilla that was delicious, my husband had a crispy burrito basket with steak that was well seasoned and well portioned. My daughter ordered tostones and French fries. The tostones were delicious and very fresh! I highly recommend this place to all looking for good authentic Mexican food. The waitress was very nice and attentive and the atmosphere had great music and lovely decorations.

This place is dope! Not that big but just right in there. Our waitress was dope from beginning to end and very helpful. Bae ordered the taco bowl I got the grilled salmon and mashed potatoes amazing! We did get the wings as appetizer but they were so good we were eating it with our meal. We ordered frozen margaritas I got guava and bae got coconut very tasty! We did pay $6 for bottled water wasn't used to that but that water was delish. I def recommend trying them out, they won't disappoint!

Hidden Gem. Service is fast and friendly. Drinks are pretty good although the Classic Mojito was a little too sweet. I thought the Steak Tacos were amazing but the pork tacos with pineapples, I mean like yum 😋 Highly recommended. Would definitely like to return to try more delicious food.

I prefer the brunch over the dinner. The dinner menu is ok but the brunch has more options. If you like spicy request the habanero sauce. Though frozen margarita is much bigger during brunch, the drinks never disappoint

We visited here recently for the first time. My first impression was that the décor is very cute; kind of industrial with Mexican/Spanish motif. There are cool murals on the walls, exposed metal beams, concrete floors, reclaimed wood tables and chairs, some large screen TVs, a huge bar to the right and an outside patio. The restaurant is conveniently located next to a bus stop across the street from Forest Park. If you're driving, they have valet parking next to the restaurant. We ordered the fish tacos, chicken quesadilla, guacamole with chips and a mango shake. I thought the food was nicely presented but on the pricier end. We really enjoyed the guacamole. This was my favorite item from our order. You can tell it was made from scratch and was fresh. I do wish the portion was larger but otherwise I had no other complaints. And it was nice that they gave us extra chips. The chicken quesadilla was pretty good and paired well with the salsa and guac it came with. The fish tacos were also good. They used sautéed tilapia pieces and it came with a side of salsa. My only complaint is that the taco shell (I think it was a corn shell) was too thin and fell apart while I was eating which made for a messy meal. Overall, we had a nice time and we’ll probably come back.

We did a pick-up order via Seamless from Don Tequila Urban Cantina and the process went smoothly. The decor looks nice and we would like go and dine in if we get a chance. We had their Cena del Patron which included grilled skirt steak, chorizo, chicken, cactus and jalapeño with side of tortilla, rice and beans to share with a group of two. The portion was great and the food was decent for a quick fix with reasonable price.

My friend brought me here. It's a great place to come and relax while enjoying good drinks and food. The waitress was friendly and was very understanding when my friend changed her drink order. While I was here, a mother and a friend were dancing with her toddler a few tables down, and everything was cool. I look forward to coming back another day.

Came here for taco Tuesday and had fun. Music on on point. Margaritas were so good; especially the coconut which I am in love with. Chicken empanadas were good as well as the chicken quesadilla. Janet bartender was excellent she held the bar down by herself and other orders. I will definitely return from Brooklyn

I went just for drinks and the martini was made with old olives brine, beside that bad moment rest of the experience was good service and good environment, maybe I'll go back to check if they improve the cocktails and try some food

The service i have to say was wonderful , they weren't pushy and our waitress offered suggestion because I didn't know what to order . But the only thing I did like was the very very loud music . I understand it's for the young generation but not everyone can handle the laudness.

I've driven past this restaurant many times, but it wasn't until my sons took me there for my 52nd birthday in August that I discovered its greatness. I've been back several times, including last night, and the vibe is always great. The steak tacos are particularly amazing - I ordered them twice, which says it all. Location location location! The parking is horrendous! The atmosphere was ok. Drinks were disappointing. The drink you see is a Bacardi Gold and Coke. That's exactly how it was served(half full). I had Tacos Pastor, it had no spice and all I tasted was pineapple. My Love had grilled salmon that was chard. Not a place that I would be looking forward to going again.

Ordered takeout from here for the first time. Overall the prices were on the higher side for Mexican food. The octopus wasnt cleaned well. It was still fatty/slimy and still sandy and gritty so it was very unpleasant to eat. Also it was very expensive for the portion. The tacos had only one tortilla and a lot of meat so it fell apart. Should always have 2 tortillas as other places. The corn was delicious and out of the 3 empanadas they offer, only the spinach cheese tasted really good.

Employees don’t answer your questions. Example the menu on the television screens have one price menu has another when you ask which is the price they don’t know. Made a reservation for 14 people for my mom's birthday. We come in and they only had a table of 8 waiting for us. The manager kept telling us to wait, that she'll get us a table. Whole restaurant was full. We were not about to sit there and wait for people to finish eating so that they could scramble together our RESERVED table. We spent my mom's birthday here last year with a group just as big and had a great time. This year, I have no idea what happened. They confirmed that we were a party of 14 a whole day before. I'll never come back here.

Overrated and over priced. The service is below par for what you’re paying for. Had an outdoor table for 3 people and they snuck in 18% gratuity added to the bill at the end already. Also did not listen to me when I made aware I had a food allergy, I asked for my meal to have a specific vegetable taken out as I’m allergic but when my food came out I noticed they did not listen nor apologize but simply took the food back and had it remade. Will not be coming back ….

it was very disappointing to come to this restaurant and have to wait 2 hours to get my food handed to me. we arrived at 900pm and it was 6 of us, 4 of us recieved our dishes and the 2 of us had to wait until 1100 pm for our last two to be served at our table. first concerning the food here; food is not worth buying, 2 of our dishes had raw salmon and it was cooked properly, secondly when we finally recieves our last two dishes which was a steak and platanos plate and the other 8 shrimps with rice, we couldn't believe how long it took them to serve these two small dishes. thirdly, the steak dish was very bland, and the spicy shrimp sauce was way too salty. if there's anything good about this restaurant it is the drinks. that's it. go get drunk here and eat somewhere else.

Music too loud inside. Had to move outside and still too loud. Waitress turned down a little. Food overcooked. Horrible service. Waitress had attitude and spent more time preparing hookah instead of taking care of her customers. My husband was never brought silverware 🍴 to eat and ended up not eating. Someone needs to learn the definition of mixology. Not impressed with their margaritas.

I was really disappointed with the service. The waiter-Amafli was rude, inattentive, and seemed uninterested in helping us. We had to ask multiple times for basic things like water and napkins, and it felt like we were being ignored. On top of that, she was smoking hookah while working, and the smoke kept blowing into our faces, which was extremely unprofessional and uncomfortable. Overall, the attitude, lack of care, and behavior made the dining experience very unpleasant.
