The only pizza place for our little family. Sal's has been a staple for my husband and I since we were little 12/13 year olds dating in 2008. They have hands down the best employees and owners and obviously the best pizza in all of Woodhaven and Ozone Park. They will always be home to us and will always have a slice of our hearts! P.S. the only place around that now offers GLUTEN FREE pizza that doesn't taste like cardboard (my husband was diagnosed with a gluten allergy so we were beyond excited when we saw it on their menu).

Sal's is one of the truest American pizzarias I can think of. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but u will enter into the dream kitchen of inarguably the best pizzarias in NY C. I strongly suggest the Pizza di Nonna: 2 slices -- a middle and end slice. Sal's serves all manner of echt-southern Italian dishes. All are dandy, but I bypass them for the singular excellence of the pizza. A refrigerator of Snapples etc serves for beverages. No hot drinks or alcohol sold. Nearly unbelievable is that there's a bathroom for customers!

Sal's has been on Jamaica Ave since I was a child. I loved their food then and I love it now. It's a slice of my childhood preserved in spacetime.

The service is very fast, I got two large pizzas in under 15minutes. Their food is amazing! So much variety. While some pizza shops also offer other foods, you can tell by the quality they truly only specialize in pizza. However, Sal’s food is good all around! Today I ordered 6piece wings with fries, a calzone, a beef patty, and two Pepsi’s for the price of $28. Pretty good compared to other places.

I always ate here in the 60’s and 70’s, and loved Sal’s….the best Sicilian ever and only 35 cents for a slice and a coke. My son heard this story many times, so when we visited the neighborhood in October we made sure to visit. It was just as fantastic as I remembered and their Sicilian can’t be beat!

First time there after reading the reviews and I definitely agree. The pizza is really good, I noted the sauce being super good, and was curious as to how Sal achieved that depth of flavor. My only hang up was the garlic knots were a tiny bit chewy or maybe stale but it had very good flavor. Will be back!

I've been going to Sal's since I was a baby in my mom's tummy. For over 33 years (at least my lifetime) they've had the best pizza in the five boroughs. The staff are wonderful and know all the regulars by name. I won't eat pizza from any place else. I highly recommend going to Sal's.

I HAD to write a review about these people. They were so nice to me. I wanted a delivery of 2 baked ziti's with meatballs and extra mozz. I got the idea from looking at their photo reviews. I asked them for the same, but 2 orders. I never bought from them before and i'm always a bit scheptical because it could be a planted photo. Let me tell ya. The ziti they made me was better than the picture. They actually take care of their customers. This is my first time ordering. But it won't be my last. Best Italian food to me in Woodhaven. The only reason i didn't give em 5 stars is because i didn't try everything yet. But i have no doubt that it'l be good. Its way better than some of these so called Italian pizza shop with Mexicans doing the cooking. I've never had good Italian ziti like this in a while.

UPDATE: ordered from them a couple more times and had no issues with the person who delivered the food :) My go to pizza delivery spot. That is until their driver took it upon themselves to guilt me about tips. Don’t want to put up with it, which unfortunately means I’ll no longer be ordering sals :(

A quaint little pizzeria, I purchased a regular slice of cheese pizza. I was a bit disappointed at the flavor. There was a slight crispiness on the bottom that I like. But the pizza sauce and cheese are incredibly bland. Slice is around $3.00.

The food is not consistently fresh. It’s overpriced, and customer service is hit or miss too. You’re better off going to Due Fratelli on Woodhaven, it’s wayyy better service, quality and taste

I’ve eaten in Sal’s since I was a kid, always great pizza. But the flavor has changed so much. They’re not using the same sauce! It tastes like can sauce. I wish them all the best though!

Pizza is delicious but everytime I order for delivery they give an estimated time and it's always more. Then I call back and allegedly it's already out for delivery. 20 minutes later I'm still here waiting for the pizza. Domino's it is next time 👍

Our oven is out of commission currently and we ordered pizza from Sal's for the first time through the website that uses Slice as the delivery service. We ordered a large pizza pie and a Sicilian pie, one pepperoni roll and one spinach roll. I usually only get the spinach rolls which are very good. The delivery time was within the time promised and more than I usually spend at other pizza stores in the neighborhood. The food came and it was luke warm to cold and we had to heat it in the microwave. The pies were very chewy and I mean teething type chewy. My mouth got real exercise eating the pizza. The Sicilian was tougher than the regular though by not much.. So I'll continue to get the rolls from them spinach, broccoli or pepperoni and skip on the pizza. I'm too afraid to order a veal cutlet hero figuring I may break my teeth on it.

Pizza is okay I guess, could be way better and I notice that they're not that sanitary they'll touch money and then the food right after. Yuck! People out here swear it's amazing, not me !

Terrible customer service. Site says close time at 20:30 and called at 19:57 and the guy that answered the phone told me they close at 20:00 and hanged up on me while I tried to ask him a question. 1st time I said to try them and last. Horrible phone manners. Customers calling are paying customers, not wanting anything free and deserve common courtesy.

Just popped in to grab something fast in a pinch.... pizza was dry, not tasty, crust kinda burnt and they have a sign posted why they need to raise prices. If it was worth it I really wouldn't mind but REALLY!!!

Sals pizzeria has been my pizza spot since I’ve moved to Queens 14 years ago. Today is the last day I get food from here. Since COVID I’ve been hyper vigilant and I’ve noticed that they have absolutely no concern for hygiene. The same guy who works the cashier prepped my food—- did not wash or sanitized his hands nor put on some of those plastic gloves to handle food quickly. The same goes for the other workers. They’re handling money, rubbing their hand over the counter as they approach you then go and prepare your food. Even if COVID was not the case, these are not safe hygiene practices. They should at least have one person only handling the money or have a sink nearby for all to use. Broken-hearted to never go back there again but that was not okay. I’m sure they’re not aware of it either.

Just ordered cheese cake & brownie, it was solid as a brick, was told it comes that was, it wasn’t even fresh, it was frozen who eats frozen brownies? It’s supposed to come with strawberries which wasn’t fresh at all nasty 🤢

Ordered a special pie from here... Came with a ton of broccoli on it, really?? You should tell people your special has broccoli in it, no one would ever order it then. 30+ bucks for a soggy pie with broccoli, love it. Don't know how the other food is, but avoid the special please.

I ordered a meatball hero and it came with no sauce and it was very dry I had to throw it in the trash because it was absolutely disgusting and I told them I didn’t want any cheese and they put it on 😡 my wife ordered a eggplant parmesan wish was nasty had no sauce or cheese on it never I will never order from there again.
