Stagecoach Inn

We visited Stagecoach Inn as locals with it being my fiancé's first dining experience at the inn. We loved it, it's an amazing setting. Very well priced and it's fantastic, they have a very small staff who can do a bit of everything and that is a true wonder. One of our waiters is also a Chef and personally created the desert special that day. We sat on the porch but there a multiple room options to choose from. This is not a high capacity restaurant and you will be thankful for it. Make your reservations and enjoy the fact that you will have and incredible environment, gorgeous food and attentive staff. After dinner we enjoyed the rest of our champagne and watched the fire flies start to come out on the lawn. The owners of this restaurant put quality and experience before money and it really shows. A must visit for anyone visiting the Hudson Valley, New York region.

This was my first time visiting with friends and it was wonderful. The Inn is beautiful, the food delicious and a very attentive wait staff. Franco literally saved my life from the spider coming down from the ceiling, that's dedication. He deserves a raise! Already planning my next visit!

I've had the pleasure of dining at Stagecoach several times over the past few years, and each and every time has been a delight. Whether they are hosting one of their wonderful events, or I've simply been there to enjoy a date night, dinner with friends, etc. its always such an enjoyable experience thanks to the friendly and attentive staff, gorgeous atmosphere and of course, the amazing menu. The duck is the best I've had any place in Orange County, but every other item I've had on the menu has always been on-point as well. Treat yourself to a night at Stagecoach! You will look forward to the next one before you even leave the first one.

It was our first visit to the Stagecoach Inn. The Inn itself is so beautiful with all wreaths hanging on the windows and just the right amount of Christmas lights. The service was excellent as was the food. Food selections were a few but included most food groups. Quaint and cozy. It is a place to take someone special or to celebrate special occasions. We will be going back!

Absolutely one of the nicest places Ive ever visited. Stunning grounds, beautiful restaurant and patio area, amazing friendly staff and service, and food was excellent. How did I not know about this place sooner? Wonderful place for any event or just to stop by for a perfect meal. Truly one of a kind! Would definitely recommend...100 stars!!!!

Stayed here for a night with my Mom and simply loved! We stayed in the Margo room which was beautifully decorated, ever so clean and overall wonderful. We had dinner that night at the Inn and it was delicious (shout out specifically to the crab cake;). However, the true joy of this special place is Carrie Anne the innkeeper who makes breakfast and imparts such a welcome joy you carry it with you for the rest of the day. As someone who has stayed in many hotels all over really can't recommend enough and we will most certainly be back!

This is an absolutely amazing venue to have any party you could ever want to have at. We just had our belated wedding celebration/baby shower there over the weekend and it went so beautifully. The staff are all incredibly kind and helpful and truly made the day flow without a hitch. They are also super easy going and helped us change some last minute things without any issue to make things simpler for our guests. We rented out the Atrium and Porch for 80 people and had a beautiful indoor/outdoor event full of fun, laughs and smiles. We could not recommend this venue more highly. Some of our guests stayed to have some drinks at the bar after our event was over and stayed overnight in the beautiful rooms at the Inn. We will definitely be going back there, whether it’s for another event/party or even just for a nice night away for a change of scenery. I’d give them 10 stars if I could 👍🏻

My boyfriend and I went here for our anniversary and were helped by our awesome server Anna!!! The food was seriously one of the best meals I’ve ever had, extremely reasonable prices, and the portions were awesome- very generous but enough that I was able to eat every single bite and save room for their scrumptious dessert! Oh, and did I mention all of their fun cocktails? Highly recommend, beautiful fireplace in dining room, and a really awesome experience. Anna was amazing, friendly and helpful! Will definitely return.

I was surprised by my fiance with a stay at this inn, and it was absolutely phenomenal. Ron and Carrieann were both so kind and made us feel extremely welcome. The decor is beautiful, and I love the thoughtful little touches, such as little dishes on the nightstands for jewelry. The shower in the Hickok room was great with excellent water pressure, and the bed was soooo comfortable. I hope to stay again!

We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect wedding day. Faith, Jen and team love what they do, staff is excellent, food was amazing! We loved everything that we experienced. They accommodated so many things to give us the wedding of our dreams, even a little wouldn’t stop us. The property is so beautiful you don’t need much decor, each room has such Personality and uniqueness. We can’t wait to go back for a little escape. Such a memorable weekend!

Live locally and come here for dinner often. This is a truly special place. The owners are really nice and take pride in everything they do. Just left on a Thursday night and sadly the place was almost empty. The food and service were outstanding. Not just my food but everyone's food at the table was perfectly prepared with high quality ingredients. From cocktails through dessert, really impressed. I have also been here for large parties and they do an equally fine job. Great hard to find bourbons as well. You need to come here!

My husband, son and I had dinner at the Stage Coach Inn. Cocktails, appetizers and dinner… All were incredible. The staff worked well together as a team. They were attentive and friendly. Our water glasses were never empty, our drinks were unique and delicious and food recommendations were on point! There were three different meat dinners that night. We each ordered a different one so that we could compare. The meals we’re perfectly prepared. The sauces and sides with each of our meals were perfectly matched. All 3 meals were great! The manager came over to see that all of our expectations were met and he told us about some exciting events that they are planning in upcoming months!! We are looking forward to going back. I highly recommend the Stage Coach Restaurant.

This inn and restaurant is spectacular! The rooms are decorated beautifully and the service from the workers when you arrive is so great. The cheese board upon entry was delicious, and the restaurant as well was so amazing! I ordered the filet mignon, one of the best steaks I've ever tasted. I highly recommend this place as both an inn and a restaurant!

My husband and I stayed for 3 nights in the Margo room. No detail was overlooked. The king bed was beyond comfortable with the silkiest sheets we have ever slept in. The bathroom was spacious with a great tub to soak in and plenty of drawer space to put all our toiletries in. Breakfast included each morning was so delicious. Coffee was available whenever you wanted. Lovely bar with every drink available. When their restaurant is open it is regarded as the finest in town and it is! So convenient to have it right where you are staying. Plus you have three options of where to eat, including a picturesque outdoor porch and an indoor one as well. Now for the best part...the hospitality. You will not find more caring loving or more attentive people anywhere. We will truly miss our time at the Stagecoach Inn and hope to find the time when we can return. Laurie and Joel C.

The inn keepers made us feel right at home as soon as we walked in the door. Great people. I thank you for your hospitality. Wonderful bed and room. Great coffee in the am as well. We had dinner at the inn and it was good. But I thought the flavors on the dishes were just a bit off.

Came back for dinner. Food was fabulous. Recommend the stuffed chicken breast and the Papardelle Bolognese, which arrives with a very generous amount of beef short rib. Service could be better, had to keep asking for water refills. Should not need to do that. My original Mothers day brunch review still stands.. Food was good, however it was not too different than what you would find at an ordinary breakfast buffet for half the price. There was a few standouts, like the prime rib, but I would not recommend at this price point, which was a little over $100 per person. The service was attentive, but we where told to use the same plate for additional servings. The same plate! Not acceptable, and I asked them to bring me a clean plate. They also sat our party of four at a petite table, it was a little larger than a nightstand. No room for our drinks, the waitress had to put them at the nearest tableesque piece of furniture. I soured on buffets a while back, and this experience only reinforced this.

We had our wedding ceremony and celebration two weeks ago at the Stagecoach Inn and we can't say enough wonderful things about the experience. First, I want to say we rented the house for the weekend because we had family coming in from out of town. Caryanne, the innkeeper, was great! She made all of us feel like family right away and took care of everything we needed throughout our stay. You can easily see she loves what she does. On to our wedding day, everything about this place is special. The house, the grounds, the food and the staff are excellent! Faith, the proprietor and Jen and Natashka, are total professionals in their planning assistance and carrying out of the details to make your wedding a memorable experience you won't soon forget.

I loved the Hickok Room - quiet and beautifully decorated, with the nicest gas fireplace I've ever experienced. Breakfast was delicious (you can choose from among several options). The staff were all very nice; special shout out to Carrie Ann who went out of her way to help me get my car started! She made me feel so welcome; she is an absolute gem!

I visited the Stagecoach Inn for dinner with friends on a Friday evening. There isn't a dedicated parking lot but there was ample street parking. The restaurant has an impressive whiskey selection and a great seasonal menu. They provided individual goat cheese appetizers and a bread basket. My husband had a delicious apple and cheddar salad. He also enjoyed his pistachio encrusted seabass. I had the duck breast, which was phenomenal--I highly recommend it. The restaurant also had a nice dessert and after dinner cocktail menu. The restaurant wasn't crowded and we never felt rushed, even though we stayed chatting for a long time after we finished our after dinner beverages. The food was pricey but worth every penny.

They did a wonderful job with our son’s Rehearsal Dinner held on the back patio. Service, food & drinks were excellent. Would recommend the Stage Coach for any event or just a relaxing dinner with friends.

The Stagecoach Inn was a great venue for our small wedding. We held our ceremony in the ceremony circle and had dinner in the solarium room. Each space was set up perfectly, and the food was very good. The staff were helpful from initial questions and planning, to day-of execution and working with vendors. We also stayed at the inn the night before and after the wedding. Our room ( The Margo ) was spacious and comfortable, and each morning's breakfast was great.

Went on a quick trip to the outlets for my wife’s birthday and stayed a night here. The people are wonderful, the food and drinks were superb. The whole house is quite gorgeous, hardly feels like a hotel and more like some home getaway. The rooms were cute and well cleaned and stocked. Everything you need is provided. For both dinner and breakfast we sat in nice comfortable chairs in front of a fire in the fireplace

Atmosphere is great, large room for meetings has a light of light and picturesque setting. Inside perfect for quiet dinner & very quaint.

We enjoyed a wonderful New Year’s Eve dinner with friends. The food was amazing and so delicious. Best crab cake I have ever had. The NY Strip steak melted in my mouth. Topped off with Banana Foster cake - a huge serving. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The decor and charm of the Inn made it a perfect holiday evening treat!

I have to admit, I thought the place was going to be a terrible in when I heard about it, but we had last minute travel plans and had to stay at Stagecoach inn... I was left with an egg on my face. The Inn is gorgeous and extremely clean, the staff does a great job with the property. I'm assuming the staff are OCD with how clean the place was despite being historically so old. I will say the best part of our experience was Beverly and the breakfast she made. I stayed at Stagecoach a few weeks ago and I normally would not take the time to write a review, but Beverly made such an impression on us here I am. The owner is extremely lucky with the staff (it's hard to find good people) and Beverly secretly has to be a cook/comedian on the side lol. Great job with this place, you won a lifelong guest and we will be staying here at a minimum 2x a year.

I was very impressed by how updated and well kept the room was, considering how old the building is. Central air that isn't noisy, high water pressure in the shower and had no issues with the TV. The staff is so friendly and helpful and it was overall a wonderful experience. I'll definitely be back next year!

If you've never been, go. It's literally hundreds of years old but at the same time, new. The staff, the rooms, the views and the food... Fantastic!

Has to be one of the (if not THE) best hotel experience I’ve ever had, across the board. Every single member of the staff was exceedingly kind, attentive, and genuinely enjoyable to be around. The tomahawk steak rivaled that of Peter Luger and the rooms were spacious and clean. I was passing through on my way further upstate, but I might have to return to Goshen just for The Stagecoach.

We had our wedding at the Stagecoach Inn, and I am so thankful we did! Their staff is amazing (they go above and beyond to make your event perfect), and it's clear that they really know how to throw a party. So many people told us that our wedding was one of the best weddings they have been to and everyone raved about the food. My family stayed there for two nights, and I can honestly say that this inn would also be a fantastic place to go for a little weekend getaway. In fact, we plan on doing just that this fall! The rooms are so lovely and comfortable and the breakfast they serve in the morning is delicious. I only have great things to say about the Stagecoach Inn, and I highly recommend that you visit when you have a chance.

First time after many years in the area - due to their strict reservation policy. We generally eat out frequently and like to just show up without reservations. The food was very good but the menu was limited and they didn’t have a few items. Staff were good. The exhaust system needs to be updated, as there was a slight cloud of smoke throughout the restaurant. Otherwise, we’ll return when their outdoor section opens. 👍🏼

Had a girl’s night out. The building and grounds are beautiful. The wait staff was excellent - so attentive! Everyone enjoyed their food. Only complaint is the menu had roasted pork loin on it. I expected slices of roast pork. Instead I got a pork chop. Not the same thing.

I attended a baby shower here. It was lovely. Staff was wonderful and food was good also. Beautiful setting for any occasion.

The location is gorgeous! The staff we interacted with where kind and patient. The food however was a complete miss. Had a filet that was supposed to be med rare, it came black and blue, the outside was very tough and the filet itself was a tough cut of meat not tender at all. It was offered with pepper cream sauce or a demi, I tried the "cream" sauce which I had hoped would be similar to an au poivre. It was not at all, it was flavored with cheap black pepper flake not peppercorns at all. It was not at all a cream sauce, it may have a splash of cream mixed with demi but nothing like what I'd expect or hoped for based on the description. The Caesar salad was humongous and tasty, but large enough to call it a table salad. It's sort of a pricey restaurant where you are paying for the setting, which I don't mind but I want the food to match the high price in flavor and quality.

Came here for Easter Brunch and it was outstanding!! The service was great, everyone was pleasant and courteous, doing whatever was necessary to make our brunch delightful. All the servers, even those not taking care of our table, made sure we had everything we needed. We never had to ask for more water or coffee. They were always there to keep them full. The brunch was extremely enjoyable. The presentation of the dining area was beautiful. The food was delicious. They had a varied selection to choose from and everything we had was delectable. We will definitely be back!

We had made a reservation for 1:30, and expected a great time for my mother’s birthday. We have been there before and had been previously disappointed but have decided to give it another shot. Right from when we got there, the lady greeting us copped an attitude and she wasn’t that friendly or warm , we all almost got the vibe that we weren’t wanted there. If I was greeting someone here, Id greet my customers with respect and make them feel welcomed. Not like a nuisance. Our waiter, John I believe, was very kind and funny. At first there was no music so it was awkward and uncomfortable to speak. The temperature kept turning hot then cold. We ordered at about 1:30 since we got there early and were waiting until about 2:20 for our food to come out. There were moments we considered walking out because every other table had gone through their meals and we were still waiting for ours. John was nice about it, however if I were a host, I would offer my guests a complimentary drink or at least keep filling the water to let us know we weren’t completely forgotten about. Eventually, the food came out and it was okay. Nothing to rave about but I ate everything (probably because I was famished). I would’ve liked to see something extra, like a free drink or an apology or free appetizer taken off the bill, but nope. Anyways, won’t be back here again. Latkes were good tho.

The place is gorgeous. The menu is a bit limited. The first time we ate there the food was good but a little over the top price wise for what you get. Four of us went again Friday night. We popped for $100 bucks a person with drinks which is pretty good money in these parts and some of the food was cold and just so so. I may go back but it is a pretty big price to pay for an inconsistent place just for the ambiance. I hear the pork chop is good. I have not tried it. They seem to be packing the place so maybe we just had a bad night. Update: Went for dinner Christmas eve. Menu was even more limited and portions were very small. Food was overcooked and overpriced. Service started off ok but lagged as the meal went on. Dessert was lousy. "Brownie sundae" was a cold hard brownie with a lump of ice cream next to it. The place is always busy so people continue to seem satisfied to overlook the so so food for the ambiance.

I’ve been to the Stagecoach Inn before for a pharmaceutical dinner and the service and food was OUTSTANDING, which is why I wanted to use them for the small reception after my wedding ceremony and confirmation at St Johns up the street on Valentine’s Day. While the food and atmosphere was very good, for some reason it took 4 hours to get through the 4 courses of the prix fixe menu. My party was 8 people so maybe they weren’t adequately staffed, although we had made our reservations a month in advance. We waited so long that my husband lost his appetite, not eating any of his entree. We asked for it to be boxed up but the server never brought it back. I do hope for some kind of explanation from the management because I want to go back, but I want to know why there was such an extreme delay between courses, and to know that it won’t happen again. I felt that it reflected poorly on me with my guests for having chosen this establishment.

It was our 2nd time there. It is a charming and lovely setting. We had dinner and the food was very good but the proportions we felt were small in comparison to what they charge for it. As an example, they charge $45 for duck. I would've been interested in the dish but couldn't justify spending that amount. Overall experience was good but it lacks the wow factor and is overpriced.

Valentines Day 2025 dinner with my wife: Upon arrival, interior was beautiful, then they took us through a double door onto an enclosed patio. They had propane heat, but the heaters kept turning on and off. Everytime the heater shut off it got very cold. Food: Venue had asparagus listed as a side on several entre's, but when ordered, we were told that they haven't had asparagus in a very long time and it shouldn't be on the menu. We were the first seating, 5pm, on Valentine's Day. My wife ordered braised rib bowl and she was told they are out of braised ribs. She had a filet mignon which was ok, but very garlicky. I had a pork chop. It was about 1 1/2" thick chop. Extremely undercooked and heavily spiced with cumin. It was on the menu with a side of Brussel sprouts, which I do not eat. I asked if I could swap for baby carrots. The waitress said ok. A little while later a bus boy came over and said the chef won't allow any changes because of the day. REALLY!!! desserts were very good. Service was excellent, except for the chef not giving me carrots instead of brussel sprouts. Because my pork chop was so undercooked and I didn't finish it, and really didn't want anything else, they did comp me my meal, so Thank You for that. Overall, neither one of us were overly impressed and won't be going back unless the get a new chef and fix the menu.

Came here for my wife’s birthday dinner and unfortunately left more frustrated than full. The table was wobbly from the start. No one fixed it despite the servers fighting to stabilize it while pouring water, so I had to fold my napkin to level it out myself midway through our dinner. Water was served warm—not room temp, warm. The ice from my soda melted immediately, which was just gross. I ordered the short rib tacos as an appetizer and immediately regretted it. There was a massive glob of what I thought was cheese on top—turned out to be straight-up mayo. Not chipotle mayo, not remoulade (which the waitress told me after the fact)—just a mayonnaise mess that completely killed my appetite. None of that was listed in the menu description. We noted in the reservation that it was a birthday dinner. Nothing was acknowledged—not even a “happy birthday.” The one highlight: my wife said her pork chop was very good. But for the price point, “one good dish” isn’t enough to justify coming back. This was my second visit—the first time, I came with a group and was underwhelmed. Gave it another shot and walked away feeling the same. Not worth
