It's a nice Italian deli that's been around for years. Make best sub sandwiches. Good selection of Italian food products. I buy a lot of Pasta there and other products. They also have frozen store made dishes. Haven't had one I didn't like. Highly recommend the store.

Awesome sandwiches! The large size is huge so plan accordingly. Also, be sure to get there before the lunch rush. Service was excellent, friendly and quick. Highly recommended for lunchtime.

I can't believe I never stepped into this bakery sooner. I had no idea it was even in the Balboa plaza. I absolutely love it! Their breads are so delicious! I bought a few things yesterday because I just had to try their stuff. The sausage and peppers sandwich was delish.That soft bread was a game changer! Soooo good! And I also got two tiramisu trays. Amazing amazing amazing! I will definetly be back again. And told all my friends & family about it! Love finding these hidden gems! Go support your local businesses they have way better customer service and products. Highly recommend getting your breads etc here.

Great Italian subs, if that's your thing. Related to the place I reviewed before in Valencia. I think they're owned, separately, by a brother and sister. Almost interchangeable. Both very good. Plus lots of other deli items and Italian grocery items. Check it out!

It's Tuesday February 20th I believe. So I was about to make meatballs . Grant you I came here for Italian Honey Christmas balls .. I purchased more Thank God . I couldn't eat all the fresh rolls. Tonight I pulled my last roll after 2 months out of my freezer and let it come to room temperature before I put it in the oven like Grandma did.The only problem we NOW have sealed burners like we use to have b4.ALL I WILL NOW IS THIS 40 YEARS IN THE KITCHEN IVE NEVER EVER FOUND A ROLL LIKE THIS . 2 MONTHS IN FREEZER TASTE Freash .NEVER EVER . THE COOKIES ARE EXCELLENT THE SERVICE A+ Reminds me of my childhood taking the Sunset bus to Western Ave walk 1 block to Fazzio Brothers deli .... Just the aroma you say today Smell .... I love this little store packed with Italian goodness and memories of my grandma and grandpa. All of their brands are here, even the bubbling digestive aid they used. Great bread and prepared foods too. Excellent marinara sauce. Lovely people too.

I absolutely love Italia and stop every chance I get. You should do the same if you are ever near Balboa Blvd and San Fernando Mission. South of the 118 freeway.

I'm security for the property and sometimes I'll see a line of people either waiting for the restraunt to open or waiting to order. Tonight, as she was closing her business, the owner, Maria stopped me to offer a sandwich. I've never eaten there before but now I understand why people are so eager for the restraunt to open yet patient while in line. Good things come to those who wait! The ingredients were beyond fresh. Italia Bakery and Deli offers probably the best sub sandwiches in the San Fernando Valley. They offer a good selection of sandwiches using meats and bread they bake on the premises. The deli also offers a large variety of Italian goods: pastas, cheeses, meats, breads, olive oil, wine, crackers, Italian cookies and more. Service is helpful and friendly, prices are moderate and fair.

Best deli in the valley. Genoa salami, low sodium ham, Heavenly sandwich rolls. The imported pasta from Italy is well worth the money, so is the imported parmigiano reggiano. Call ahead and order pick-up rather than standing in line. Lunch time is always crowded!

This is my favorite go to place to buy authentic Italian ingredients. They have almost anything you will need if you want to cook authentic Italian dishes. From bottled anchovies, Italian cheeses, marinated baby squids to cookies, breads and juices. If you don't like to cook, they have awesome sandwiches, ready to hear pasta dishes, frozen pizza and their home.made pasta sauces like clam sauce which is delish. They also have caprese salad and prosciutto. Don't miss out on the tirmisu, it is awesome. Love this place.

I finally found a cannoli that taste like my godmother’s! The bread is so fresh and the food is delicious. The staff is very friendly. I am truly appreciative of the food and the service.

My family has been coming here for almost 3 decades now. My grandfather and grandmother would always stop in to get the cold cuts for holiday platters. The sandwiches here are great, and the little baked goods are always so tasty! All of the fresh bread is delicious, and the frozen dishes are great for an easy home meal. My favorite thing to do, by far, is getting their focaccia and using it to make a cold cut sandwich. It is a small shop, but the staff are always do friendly, and the quality of everything they sell truly shines through.

Delicious foods! Sandwiches use their fresh made breads, and the tuna comes overstuffed with Matt, veggies, and some tasty spread. They're also a grocer. Negatives worth this place include closing by 5pm/6pm, and NOT being open on Sundays.

Heard from more than a few people this place has the best Pastrami. I loved everything about this place; shop, deli, eatery. Pricy but it does fill you up. I think a close second belongs to Hero Subs, so you can pick and choose between the good breads and meats between the places.

Great authentic Italian deli, however I asked for soppressata today for pizza and bought this but someone put a partially torn Italia sticker over the expiration date ... this Calabrese hot dry sausage expired in August 2019, not happy about this....if intended it's bad business.

I was so happy to find this place, it looked just like one of those delicious hole in the wall Italia deli's you rarely find these days. I got a traditional turkey & cheese with the works. The homemade bread was delicious as I expected. The turkey was supposed to melt in your mouth. I thought I was paying $14 for a quarter lb of high quality turkey meat stacked high. Sadly, it was slippery and greasy. My lips felt like I just put on chapstick. Oscar Mayer deli meat would have been far better. I'm not a waster, so I had a delicious $14 one piece provolone sandwich. I was very disappointed that they would use such low grade meat. I would not buy this for $1. Never again. For $14, you shouldn't have to upgrade to Dietz & Watson to get a decent sandwich.

My first visit to this store and it will be the last. I went in for Anchovy Extract they had it, but it’s $2 more then Amazon. I didn’t mind paying the extra money to support the small business… well after waiting several minutes in a line where people are ordering food I went and asked one of the girl if someone can just check me out because I’m not in line for a sandwich. She responds by saying I still needed to grab a number and wait! WHAT? I left the over priced Anchovy Extract on the counter and left. The store has exorbitantly over priced all the items in the store. Not worth it for bad service.

I'd give 0 stars if possible. Extremely RUDE service! The lady that rang me up was super snobby. I was looking around at some merchandise as I was waiting for my food. They called my order, and the lady looks at me and goes "Well, are you ready to check out or what?" not even 30 seconds after my order was called. I did purchase some items from their store other than my sandwiches, and they were all WAY expired. A friend of mine wanted to check the place out, but I told him to STAY AWAY. Thankfully he did. I was more annoyed at the disrespectful staff than I was my expired products! The sandwiches were okay. Definitely over priced for what you get.. hardly any meat was on the sandwiches.

I normally love this place with the sandwiches and how nice the staff is. But I felt so compelled to share my story about how a gentleman who was accommodating in making my sandwiches but in the process there was a fellow staff member who was chastising and ridiculing him on how to make a sandwich out loud where everyone can hear in the deli. I wanted something on the side and he was again criticized for not knowing either the item to be in the sandwich or not at all. I was appalled, would it kill you just to have something on the side? It's not a big deal just a simple request but again the staff member said it loud enough and I heard it was directed at me. When he finished the order I saw him visibly shaken by the criticism. There was no one there to stand up for him. I don't know if that person was the owner or the manager but they should be ashamed of themselves. The rudeness that person displayed was unbelievable. I understand it was busy but your not supposed to speak to someone like that period. That person should of taken him to the back or somewhere private to discuss the transgression but instead was rude and embarrassed that man in front of everyone. I told him hey we're all human and nobody should be treated that way. I'm sorry if he got in trouble because of my order but I think that person should apologize to him. I told him He did his best and I gave him a tip.i hope he got the tip not having to share with that staff member. i still love coming here but i hope that staff member never helps me, and if they do I rather take my business elsewhere or even worse like subway.its hard enough to have a job but whats worse is there someone micromanaging and making your job harder than it is.

We were looking for a new deli a little closer to home and after reading the reviews decided to check it out. What a disappointment! Our sandwiches were just horrible! No flavor, limp lettuce, and slimy meat! Definitely NOT worth the $15...Subway is better! Make the drive to Cavaretta's...you won't be disappointed

I went for a cheesecake and it was the worst thing I've ever tasted. They gave me an expired, bitter, and rancid one. I went back to return it, but they wouldn't exchange it. It was the worst experience I've ever had. I wouldn't recommend this bakery to anyone.
