I spending a few days in Grandview and found this restaurant and tried it and the food was excellent the service was excellent the portions were large so we went back to second night got something different and it was just as good as the first night definitely recommend this restaurant anybody that comes in this area hope to go in there one more time before I leave, the third time was just good, we had a different cook each night we went, we bought had hamburgers and fries, one had a different taste and one had twice as many fries, still good but not as the first two times

Loved this place! It is a hidden GEM off the freeway for travelers!!! A must stop! Their food was so good, probably some of the best I have EVER ate! We drive from Grand Prairie to eat there and we've never been disappointed with the food or the service and OMG their squash casserole is to die for...I always get that for 2 of my 3 sides. I have searched for squash casserole recipes like theirs and haven't found it yet unfortunately but I will keep trying. Delicious!!!!

Holy cow what a gem this place is! I'm so glad I stopped by while lost and hungry. The absolute best okra in the world! The breakfast menu is cheal and delicious and there's the most friendly staff ever, here! That girl who called herself Brat went way above and beyond to make the experience wonderful! Got there late as we are truck drivers and always have to park in the empty lot across the tracks I was a little concerned about how close they were to closing time. This was the only location close enough to walk to for food. Staff was great and didnt even rush us to get out the door so they could go home... will definitely be back. Hopefully with more time to spare..

A home town country place with your normal country fixings. Great chicken fried steak, burgers, catfish, meatloaf, chicken spaghetti, all wonderful. They also serve wonderful breakfasts and pies. Can't go wrong here.

One of the best moms and pops restaurant I've ever been to. I'm a city boy from Dallas and I always have to put a lot of salt in my food to cover up some diner food. Here in R & K, the food is right with all their seasoning. I'll be back whenever I'm in town again.

One of the best places in town until the City Manager David Henley, along with Mayor Zac Stewart and the full sitting City Council John Clayton, Bryan Wallen, Ray Johnson, Lori Martin, Meghan York decided no one would eat there because they wanted to update and improve upon an already wonderful experience. Please visit the Cleburne, Weatherford or Hillsboro locations if you can

This was a refreshing experience for after covid service. Our food came out in a timely manner. It was nice and hot and tasted delicious. Our waitress hunter was such a joy! She did an amazing job making sure our needs were met. Thank you Hunter you were amazing!!!

This was our first visit to the new Grandview location after being long time customers at the old location. A basketball tournament was in progress resulting in long wait times Luckily we arrived just as the crowd was beginning to dissipate. Although the staff had obviously been rushed, they were still attentive and friendly. We both ordered the catfish lunch with baked potatoes, squash casserole, and salad. Salad arrived promptly with fresh, hot rolls, followed by the entrées. The fish was fresh, hot, crispy, and plentiful! Sides were warm and well seasoned. We look forward to future visits.

Great well priced daily specials to choose from on the chalk board and I've had just about all of em in the last 6yrs never been disappointed a single time!! Food is home cooking good. Their lunch specials are the beat value. If your looks for a cafe style place this it is. They have bathrooms single room men and women. Enough seating for a big crowd if you combine tables. Service has always been friendly..

The R&K II in Grandview is my favorite. It has the same great food that R&K is known for. It also has a cozy small town country cafe vibe that reminds me of the cafes I was acquainted with growing up.

R&K Cafe was great. I only went there once but the service was awesome. Our waitress always checked up on us when we needed her and was quick with the refills. The food was great, would definitely recommend the R&K Burger. Awesome restaurant.

Husband had fried catfish that was crispy fried and had very good tartar sauce. I had chicken fried steak that was delicious, but the green beans and baked potatoes rocked even more. We topped off with their homemade coconut cream pie! We were pleased with the service and the pricing! It was a great lunch and highly recommend.

I've been there for breakfast with friends twice this week. Hunter was our waitress, and she is top-notch! She was attentive, courteous, and always on point with all the coffee we drank. We never had an empty cup. Orders were correct and delicious (props to the cooks) and delivered to the table quickly. This is definitely a spot to eat! I will be coming back several more times. Still as excellent as always! 😎

Had dinner here last Saturday. I had burger and fries. Lisa had chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and gravy with green beans. The burger was huge and delicious. The fries were crispy and hot. I believe they make their own bread. The hamburger bun looked homemade and was delicious. Lisa loved her steak and sides. She also got rolls and cornbread with her meal. The service was terrific. I will definitely want to eat here again.

Myself and a couple of friends have eaten there a few times in the last couple of weeks and have been greatly pleased. Hunter has been our waitress every time and she has been superb! She was attentive to our coffee and never let our cups go empty, our orders were taken correctly and the food was delivered quickly to the table. Our food was perfectly cooked and delicious. Oh my Lord! Finally a family restaurant that knows how serve up really good food. I ordered steak and eggs with biscuits/gravy. Ribeye med-rare. It was perfect! Juicy, not dry. Tender, just perfect. Better than any steak I've had at TX Roadhouse. Service from Taylor was awesome. The biscuits were fresh and soft. The gravy was good ol' white gravy just like grandma used to serve. This is rare. I order B&G everywhere I travel, and I travel a lot. This is what every other restaurant should serving. It's usually canned gravy and 2-day old biscuits, not here. Finished my meal with house made pecan pie. Everyone was polite, friendly and eager to offer good service. This spot is worth a few minutes off I-35, maybe 5 minutes.

Such a great stop on our trip through the area. The waitstaff was so friendly and kind, and made the experience enjoyable for our whole family. We will DEFINITELY be back. This is easily some of the best country cookin’ we have ever eaten. The pancakes were hot and fluffy, the homemade chicken spaghetti was tasty, and the turkey melt was superb! Wow! Looked for an out of the way place to go eat.. Landed on R&K Dinner in Grandview Texas.. So off we went from near Downtown Fort Worth to Grandview. Worth every mile and restaurant we passed to get to this meal! Very cozy cabin lodge feel inside. We didn't have just one waitress but what felt like a wait staff. Every waitress in the place made a stop to our table to check on us. "Joe" was our waitress who happened to be filling in from the Cleburne location she said. What a sweetheart through and through.. This restaurant ownership and management is doing a fantastic job training and staffing their restaurant. If you do not live in Grandview? Make it a regular stop for amazing fresh made food. Speaking of? The burger was fresh, fries fresh cut and lightly coated with something just short of love because they were amazing. And they heard we drive all the way from Fort Worth and made sure we didn't leave without the gift of a slice of their daily made homemade pecan pie 🥧 I rarely go out of my way to post a novel. But this restaurant deserves this review and 5 stars ✨✨ ✨✨ ✨

Food is always good. Service is great. I'd pick up only right now. Staff wears masks but tables are at full capacity. Alot of people come in with no masks.

This is one of those country restaurants you need to experience. I had the. Chicken Fried Dinner with fixin’s. The catfish is pretty close to perfect. The total package is worth your time. One word of warning…. The pies are to die for, they are excellent. We got there about 12.15p, and the entire pie selection was sold out. So go early…

The Chicken Fried Steak was good and salad was good. The restaurant was nicely decorated and clean. This was a small town vibe with plenty of menu options available. It's a nice atmosphere and the employees all seemed to be happy with their co workers. I love that I could read a verse on the chalkboard.

The staff are very friendly. The food portions are huge. Very simple menu with many simple options. They don’t offer many healthy options for the weight conscious. No vegan options. I guess that’s OK if your in the mood for a cheat day. I enjoyed it.

We wanted to split a chicken fried steak platter for lunch. The waitress apologized profusely when she delivered our plates. The "new cook" cut the meat patty in half, then gave us each half of the half. We each got a portion about the size of a sausage patty. Tasted OK, but very disappointed in what we received.

Either update your menus to correct price or talk to waitress was over charged. Loud can’t hear people at the table.

Food is exceptional for a small town, restaurant is a bit small so can be a little overwhelming around breakfast lunch and dinner, the staff has always been very pleasant to be around and always take care of you! overall recommended!

This place used to be fantastic. The best breakfast and lunch. The last two times I stopped in here I was very disappointed. My friend got biscuits and gravy and they had to be cut with a knife you could not cut them with fork. The hash browns and sausage were super greasy. I ordered grilled zucchini and yellow squash for lunch and it look like mush swimming in Grease and the potato is only half baked. Not sure if they've changed cooks or what but they really need to improve on their food.

We were traveling through and were excited to find such a highly rated place serving southern comfort food. Surprisingly full at 1:30PM in the afternoon on a weekday. Nice country decor and signs, and everyone said hi to us when we walked in. Quick service and food delivery. Delicious food and very healthy portion sizes. They have a full menu as well as a blackboard of daily specials. We mostly ordered the daily specials ($12.99, a great value). We were told this was a main with 3 vegetable sides and either rolls or cornbread. We later found out that if you are a local, they also include coffee or tea and the dessert of the day (Strawberry cake on this day) in the daily special. They offered this to 3 different tables nearby but not to us (instead asking us if we wanted to buy dessert). Soda is a high $3.50 per glass but does include refills. Upon checkout, there is an unadvertised (no notice in the menu or anywhere in the property mention this).....5.5% surcharge penalty fee if you don't pay cash. If you are a local and get the full special and know to bring cash, then the food is great and service is quick and friendly and this would be an easy 5-star place. If you are not a local, come prepared or maybe go somewhere that is more transparent and gives the same deals to everyone..

Just stepped out of the restaurant, the food was good , two of us ordered all you can eat catfish and we ate it. Out waitress never offered more food or refill on our drinks. We waited for a while paid the bill and left.

Got the chicken fried steak it wasn't bad but wasn't good it was eatable but the country potatoes were the ones that come frozen in a bag from Walmart not impressed overall alright but I will go somewhere else next time.

It was a pretty decent Tex-Mex Style restaurant in a small town. The staff was great but the food still left something to be desired. It was just a simple small Tex-Mex shop. Nothing fabulous and the cleanliness was lacking but it was ok.

Waited five minutes while waitresses stood around visiting. Only two other tables occupied. We were essentially ignored. Got up to leave and the only thing said to us was to push hard on the door. Off to the other place in town....

Was going Great until the dirty Blond hair lady who is the "boss lady" who works the register and never helps in the restaurant just sits there holding the counter top down well she is rude and very disrespectful she needs to GO! If that's what you hire fine I will go to the hillsboro location...

The food took forever to come out and my friends pancake was very gooey and doughy in the e middle. This one waitress that goes by the name of Jazmine was being extremely disrespectful and making unnecessary comments. She claimed that she knew me and my friend and i’ve never met her before. She was tossing the plates on the table and doing very unnecessary things. This is unacceptable . On the other hand, there was a server named Audrey and she was GREAT! She’s a very good person and my absolute favorite waitress! I think she deserves a raise!
