Best sit down Mexican food I’ve had in awhile. Love how festive it was for Christmas and the service is very good. It is more American style with lots of cheese and unseasoned chicken in the enchiladas but tasty for sure. Love that they actually make their sauces would eat the poblano chicken enchiladas again.

Maria’s is one of our favorite Mexican restaurants in Grass Valley. They have delicious enchiladas. The atmosphere is fantastic! Our server, Jamie, was top notch! Probably one of the best servers in town (and as business owners, we eat out 5-6 nights a week). Thank you, Jamie!

The bar was setup so well for Halloween. The food was amazing, the service was perfect. All the sports in different places around the bar. Highly recommend. The online men you can search by gluten free and that is huge for me.

Great restaurant, vast menu options. The enchilada sauce was superb, and my wife loved her chicken fajitas! Their salsa was unique and delicious. Alexis was attentive and personable. Very large portions, we ate almost 1/2 of our entrees - we arrived not super hungry after a big lunch. Maria’s is excellent!

Family owned sit down restaurant. Great indoor dining and large and popular outdoor patio. We go here for special occasions like Birthdays, when friends visit, etc. Great service, nice bar area. Food is good. I have not heard any complaints ever and my family is not hesitant to provide feedback if you know what I mean.

I showed my clients homes for sale around Grass Valley today, and they took me to one of my favorite restaurants “Maria’s Mexican Restaurant,” which has awesome food and decor and service. It’s very popular, so parking can be limited, and the food took some time to be prepared, but worth the wait.

I was up visiting my sister & I told her to find us a Mexican restaurant to go eat at. Because Mexican food is my favorite. So we went there & it was packed & we were told 45 min wait so we looked at each other & said wow this place must be good. So we went to put our name on the list & the hostess told my sister if there's room in the bar we could eat in there so we walked in and there were 2 spots at the end of the bar. So we sat down & ate awesome food and had incredible service and then my sister told me that her Margarita was the best she ever had. What a great place I will definitely go back.

Wow so 😋 delicious. Excellent 👍 tamales we bought the tamale 🪣 Chicken 🐓 Tacquitos, enchilada plates. Fresh Refried beans and rice. Chips and salsa very good not to spicy which I prefer. Service was great, busy tables were full but we did not have to wait. Highly recommend!🔥

Lovely place for Mexican food. The fare is tasty, the service is great- fast & friendly, and the vibe is relaxed. Many seating options, both indoors and outside. We had a good time as a family group of 9 on the patio.

Called in a to-go for order and showed up about the time it was supposed to be ready. The lady who took payment was not friendly and didn’t get our food out to us. We sat on a bench until the host asked us if we were still waiting on the order. Sure enough, she left our food sitting on the counter in the back. Asked for no sour cream on the tostada, but here it is… Too bad the entire staff is not as “on the ball” as the host. He was a day-saver!

have been going to Maria’s Mexican Food in Grass Valley for years. The last three visits have not been great. The food is still decent but nothing memorable, and the service has been pretty mediocre. It is not rude service, but it feels like the staff is just going through the motions. I understand it is one of the main spots for Mexican food in town, and the atmosphere is comfortable enough. Still, it feels more like the place people go out of habit rather than because it is truly great. Three stars feels fair. I might go back if I am in the area, but it is no longer a place I look forward to.

Overall, wouldn’t come again. Expensive, decent experience, food could be better Service: medium, nice but not sure if they were super busy or forgot to check in, we ended up going up front to pay due to long wait Food: I’ve had cheaper fast food Mexican that tasted better. Big portions tho Value: overpriced imho Drinks: Decent, could’ve been better. Good size Things to consider: Indoor and outdoor dining. Limited parking, good luck. We had a 20 min wait w the parking lot full. Ended up parking elsewhere and walking

Over the years I’ve gone to this restaurant and generally had a good experience but tonight we ordered 3 drinks, three entrees, a bowl of soup and guacamole. $145! I don’t mind paying a lot of money for good food but this was in no way good! Average Texmex! I know prices for food has increased but this is ridiculous! I’ll never go here again. There’s plenty of restaurants in town that manage to have above average food and not rip you off. This place serves standard Mexican food but charges upscale prices. So disappointing. Had to ask 4 times for extra napkins.
