The food was delicious. I ordered French toast bread. I finished my plate. I ordered vanilla chai and I ordered again. That's the place was worth it for breakfast. The place made you feel at home!
Positively terrific diner where the quality of classic dishes and some unusual choices are only exceeded by superlative staff. If ownership attributes are reflected in staff they hire, the owners/leaders must be great folks.
Nice local diner with very friendly staff. There was no wait time for lunch on a Sunday. The food arrived very quickly and the price was standard. The Peppermint Breakfast Blast is a good mix of sweet and savory. The waitress was super nice and was willing to try make a decaf ice latte for my friend (I don't recommend this). This is also one of the few places in Rochester that serve strawberry shortcake.
Great breakfast. Had the 222, 2 giant pancakes, fluffy and delicious, 2 bacon crispy and scrumptious and 2 sausage done just right. Coffee was very good, forgot to ask what kind. Service was prompt, friendly and attentive without being intrusive. Great atmosphere, good people, delectable food. Highly recommend!
No wait in the morning, food and service are great. We named the waitress, Peppermint Patty (in fun of course). She's a one person show ~ appears.to do it all
Our first time here and it was very nice! My wife got the taco salad in the crispy shell, and really enjoyed it. I got the Gyro, and it was also, very good. The meat was very tender, as it should be. I also had a cup of lentil soup, and it was very bland, and in need of seasoning. Our server was very nice, and although it was a busy time, she was very attentive. The menu offered a wide variety of choices, and the atmosphere was very nice! 5 stars!
Fantastic place for a family of 4. Pancakes are huge, the French dip sandwich I had was so good and my husband loved his eggs Benedict. Prices are reasonable, and service was very friendly/efficient. We will absolutely return in the future.
Great stop during a road trip down 91. Easy off the highway and easy back on with great diner food! I had the moussaka and really liked it. Perfect portion, fresh, and came with a side salad. I'd come back again!
Our food was excellent! The price was right and the portions were large. Our waitress was excellent as well. On another note: There was a time that "dress code" meant something. Upon entering the restaurant, we were greeted by the host and seated. He was pleasant enough. However. It looked like he just crawled out of bed. He was in sweatpants, crew socks with crocks on and an oversized sweatshirt.
It's a cute, little diner with delicious food! We went on a Sunday mid-morning for brunch and it was packed. It didn't affect the quality of the service though! The waffles are so amazing and scramblers dishes are a comfort food for me. A go-to brunch spot for sure :)
Great food. Good atmosphere
Great atmosphere and people. Food good too
Even when very busy, orders are completed in a reasonable amount if time. Our server was a delight, and so kind to our young grandson. Options abound when ordering, and all 5 of our orders were prepared wonderfully.
We recently stayed at an air bnb very close to here and ordered pick up 4 days in a row. The menu is huge, the portions were large and packed well, the ordering process was easy, and the food was ready incredibly quickly. Every single thing we tried was a HIT! Personal favorites were the moussaka, the pancakes and the cheese and bacon omlette. We will be back, Peppermints!
We absolutely LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this restaurant! We love their breakfasts! That is mostly what we go there for. They are very reasonably priced, friendly, very quick with taking your order and preparing it. We go there at least once while we are in the area because we are usually only here 2 days that we would be able to eat breakfast. Very highly recommend them!
Owner is probably the nicest man I've ever met. So friendly, welcoming and funny! Our server (Shawn?) Was amazing. So fast and efficient and very helpful. Courteous and welcoming despite ours being a large group. Food was hot and perfect, and was out fast! I think I had a scrambler bowl? Think of it like an omelet in a bowl😅 so good!
Love this restaurant and it’s a bonus that it’s right around the corner from where I live. The food is always fresh and delicious. The servers are great, too. We sit in Amanda’s section when we come in and she always provides top notch service. I can’t forget the owner, he always has a smile and comes around to say hello.
I was in town for a difficult situation (hospice visit) and sat at the counter with the owner and a few regulars just after he opened for the day. Thanks to all of you for welcoming me. I appreciate the two mornings of breakfasts I had in your company. I'll be back in town on May 24.
I ordered the 222 special. My eggs were a little softer than medium, but they could have set me on fire, and I would still go back. I am not sure where they get the LA Cinnamon french toast, but I can not recommend it enough.
I had the pot roast, and it was absolutely delicious! Couldn't recommend enough!
My father-in-law and I came in and were greeted right away. The food was hot and tasty and delivered in a timely fashion. The waitresses were very polite and did a great job. They work awesome together. Thank you for the great service.
The food was enjoyed and the waitress was very sweet but she was waiting a growing number of tables herself. A coffee refill took some time, but we understood! Delicious breads! OJ was not the greatest.
Ordered the cheesecake stuffed french toast for breakfast on my birthday and was not at all disappointed. Curbside service was good and order was ready fast. It was really good and I would highly recommend. My mother got the mushroom and swiss omelet which was also good. Definitely will have to go back again.
A burger is a sandwich consisting of a bun, a cooked patty, and various condiments. The patty may be beef, pork, chicken, or fish. The condiments may include ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise, cheese, and pickles. What I have eaten here was more than a burger. It was life. A burger is like a life. Both start out as something small and insignificant, but with time, patience, and a lot of love, they can grow into something big and beautiful.
I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to this restaurant for setting up EV chargers—what a thoughtful addition that sets you apart! I visit this location frequently, sometimes even weekly, and it’s always a perfect experience. The food is exceptional, the service is top-notch, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. Having EV chargers is the cherry on top! I highly recommend this spot to everyone, whether you drive an EV or not. If you do, you can charge your car for an hour while enjoying a delicious meal. It’s a win-win!
Great Family feel. The service is always friendly and the food it great!
Come here all time for breakfast, food is always delicious and staff is always pleasant.
I was staying at the RIT inn and conference center not far up the road. A friend had a terrible breakfast there, so we took a chance and went down to Peppermints for lunch. I ended up having breakfast and she had lunch — and both were delicious! Ample portions, perfectly cooked, with exceptional service! Well worth the cost and although it was a bit dated in its decoration, who cared when it was great food and a very clean place?!?! Well done and I will be back!!
I love Peppermints and my favorite server is Amanda. She does such a good job taking care of us quickly and efficiently. She greets us quickly and gives us the best service. I love having her take care of us and will always ask for her. Anyone who doesn’t recognize her great talent as a server and how she treats everyone with respect is just a complainer!! Peppermints food is delicious!!!❤️
We’ve been here a few times, for breakfast and lunch. The food is amazing and the menu is quite extensive and usually that means the quality will suffer but that’s not at all the case here. I think they really shine with their breakfast. My fiance got an Italian omelette that had peppers and meatballs in it and it was such a fun idea! I got a Mexican omelette but excuse the half eaten photo, I’m a terrible millennial for not taking photos before eating. It had peppers and taco meat inside and salsa on top of the cheese. It was amazing!! And the portion could probably feed 3 people lol. They really do make an amazing omelette.
This is the quintessential American diner. The food is good, prices are reasonable, and the people are welcoming and friendly. This is not big chain faire that is all marketing, but rather great food from great people. This is a nice treat as a regular, travellers are well served by this food on the road as well. Desserts are really good too!
Food is very good and people were super friendly. Very solid dinner experience.
After driving by a couple of times while in town for business I decided to stop in for breakfast. The first thing I noticed was the cleanliness of the dining area. Next the waitstaff was kind, and worked quickly. I ordered the country breakfast, and everything was very well prepared, and just as I had ordered. The food is traditional diner fare, but very well executed. My server checked on me regularly. I would definitely eat here again.
We were staying in town and looking for a place to eat. We passed Peppermints and decided to go in. The food was SO good!!! Amazing fries! Nobody had a single complaint about their meal (except maybe overeating). I had the gyro and it was ridiculously good! Our waitress was so doting and nice - just a wonderful experience. I didn't even get to try all the yummy pies and cakes up front.
I have now been there a hand full of times, The service, really amazing tasting food and unreal portions is exceptional. The price for the amount you get can't be beat. You won't walk out hungry or disappointed.
The dinner was much better than I had expected. 10 out of 10. If I lived in the area, I would eat there everyday.
First time eating here. Staff and service was very good. Food was delicious and portions were plentiful. I don't live close by, but if I were hungry and in the area again I would definitely stop here.
Peppermints in Henrietta is our go to spot for a great meal. The environment is clean and not noisy. The staff are very accommodating! You will not be disappointed.
Ordered country breakfast this morning and it was the best breakfast I've had in a long time!! The over easy eggs were cooked to perfection and hash browns bacon and toast were delicious as well. Definitely will be back soon!! Thank you!!!
The food was amazing, it was my first time ever going. It could of been a little warmer in there but the food. Mmmmmmmmmmm. I left with a bigger smile on my face than when I walked in. Service was fast, polite. Greeted. Very welcoming. Definitely get your money's worth! I would recommend to everyone!
Great place for breakfast, service was fast and friendly. Nice family atmosphere. Had the ham ans cheese omelet and it was delicious. Would definently visit if I'm ever in the area again.
Such a nice place! We went on a Tuesday for lunch with our daughter, and it wasn’t very crowded. The waitress was very kind and attentive, taking great care of the customers. We ordered the Cajun pasta (which came with a salad), hot chocolate, and the chicken bacon melt sandwich. They also have a separate kids’ menu. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be coming back.
1st time going here for breakfast and really happy we did. Food was great! Good selection, service was wonderful and we will definitely be going back. Well priced and worth it. All day breakfast too 😉
This is a top-tier diner in Henrietta. The aesthetic is old and charming, service and staff was friendly and quick. I typically order corned beef and hash if a diner says it’s homemade. They didn’t disappoint, their corned beef and hash was great. Definitely needed more potatoes though, but I ordered a side and combined them. This place really hit the spot, and I’m mad I didn’t find this place sooner because Henrietta lacks good diners. Will definitely go back.
This is a very nicely kept restaurant. The decorations fit the restaurant. When you walk in you need to wait to be seated but looking around everyone has their own job and the restaurant is run smoothly. When we were sat down at our table the waitress came right over to greet us. She was very nice and welcoming. She took our drink order which came out right away and then took our food order. The food came out in about 10 minutes hot and fresh! Very delicious! She filled our coffee and checked on us twice. The experience did not feel rushed even though it was a busy Saturday morning and there was constantly a line at the door. I highly recommend coming to this restaurant if you haven't before!
Went here for a late lunch on a rainy Saturday and I was pleasantly surprised. My wrap ($14.25) was delicious and my mom's omelette ($13.25) looked great. Our server was really on top of things and checked back in frequently. A bit pricey, but would definitely go back and sample some of their other offerings!

Just what we needed. The restaurant was nice the service was fast and the food was very good. We will be stopping back in the next time we are in the area
A pleasant atmosphere to dine; delectable baklava; knowledgeable and friendly server. I couldn't finish my food, so I had leftovers for later, which was just as tasty.
Always great food and reasonable prices. Service can be hit or miss. Great place for breakfast.

I go there at least 3-4 times but I usually do take-out. Mt wife and I get a variety of different meals and love them all! We may go there today!
Delicious food served very quickly. turkey and mashed potatoes were excellent. Husband had the hot messy plate and loved it. Very unusual as we’re from Atlanta and we have never had that.
Great food at an affordable price. Super staff and welcoming atmosphere. Place is clean service was great.
I had a green salad with meats and cheeses, while my friend enjoyed a tuna melt, fries and clam chowder. The food was great, service was good and prices were reasonable. 3/20/24 had the Mediterranean Salad tonight. Stephanie was great! I hadn't been here in a while and the food and service were both excellent.
Came here with our daughter and her family. The location had easy seating options for infants and the servers were friendly. The food was good and the picture previously uploaded was just half of the blt my son in law had. I had the chili which was nice and warming on a winter day. My husband had a Reuben and moderately liked it.
This place was cozy, friendly and had good breakfast food. The waiters seemed happy and gave good service. All of our food was 100 percent accurate to what we ordered. 4.5/5
Love this place. Been eating here for years. Food was good and hot. However, I came in and was treated rudely by the server, Effie. We had some requests bc the drinks tasted watered-down. The hostess, Emory, attended to our requests which was nice. But that Effie literally yelled at us for asking extra napkins when she only brought us two. We tipped the hostess. I'll be back but not when Effie is there.
Staff here are very nice! Our waitress was very attentive and kind. I got a compliment on my outfit from another gentleman and heard staff making friendly conversation with regulars. The lighting inside is a bit dim which brings down the atmosphere a bit, but it doesn't make the place feel completely dreary-- in fact the interior is quite cozy, just could use a change of lightbulbs or something haha. The food was pretty good-- although taste-wise, I think it depends on what you get. The bread-related options like french toast are pretty great, but today I tried their corned beef hash and was a little disappointed at the blandness. The eggs, however, were very tasty! Portions are good sizes-- they're not so large that it's intimidating, but not so small it's skimpy. Personally I would call them a happy medium. All in all I would recommend Peppermint's!
It is what it is. An unpretentious family style diner offering exactly what you'd expect. Decent food at good prices with lightning fast service. It's not going to win any Michelin stars or serve the best tasting dish you've ever had in a restaurant but it'll fill you up with good enough food. Breakfast is definitely the star of the show, but lunch and dinner are decent as well. We come here frequently because there's never a wait and we are in and out pretty quickly, both of which are great features when you have kids in tow. We've never been disappointed, remarkably consistent.
Excellent food. Misleading pricing on side salad. Great service. Revisited and very disappointed. Staff didn't show up. Place 1/2 empty. Staff socializing with each other. Not sure if I'll go back.
This homemade food was way better than waiting 90 minutes to get a table at cracker barrel.
I typically give this restaurant a 5 for food. But today the au jus for my roast beef au jus had no flavor and just got the sandwich wet and tasteless. Very disappointing!
Great timely service for a pick up order. Plan to visit again.
I didn't love it. I didn't hate it. I ordered the special which was 1/2 a waffle, although the menu didn't mention it was only half, 2 eggs, meat, and hash browns. The waffle was tasty and had fresh berries, whip, & chocolate drizzle. I asked for toast instead of meat which they happily accommodated. I wasn't crazy about the hashbrowns... they weren't crispy at all and the portions were pretty small. My son ordered a scramble and was very happy with it. Service was quick and friendly. Also had pretty good coffee.
I like how we were able to get in and out in a quick fashion. Food was pretty good. Peppermints is always a good go-to for decent food at a fair price with excellent service.
This place is probably better than I rated it, however they were SO busy when we went there. They have a poor waiting system. If you aren't within ear reach when they say your name, they give your seat to someone else. They were also too busy to get the order right and be attentive. The man that was the host, (owner maybe?) Had a good sense of humor, but not super helpful towards the wait staff. The food was good.
October 2022 - 4.6 Another worthwhile meal at this casual popular restaurant. There's no bad choice here on their long menu. Our party of three repeated the Texas French Toast with the real maple syrup upgrade, but two of us switched to lunch choices due to the hour. I had the chicken salad on marble rye which came with a gratis bag of chips and a few pickles. My partner went out into new territory and tried their burger here in this northern part of N.Y., described as a "ground sirloin" option, "The Highway Man," which is topped with cheddar cheese, ham, fried onion rings plus BBQ sauce. A cholesterol dream...he loved it. I had the chicken salad on marble rye on the light side part of the menu - a favorite of mine. Very good. Check out their dinner options on their website which includes steak, chops and seafood. # We had a wonderful breakfast here. Everyone in the restaurant was having a good time. This place is really busy though it was Sunday, which is a prime day for going out for brunch. The coffee is delicious and we love they provide a little bowl of flavored creams to choose from on each table. Service is timely and friendly. All of our food was very tasty, large in serving size, fresh and hot: One strawberry pancakes with whipped cream, one blueberry pancakes both with turkey sausage and one Texas toast made like French toast but with beefier bread and a glass of orange juice. We did choose to spend the extra two dollars apiece for real maple syrup. Their lunch and dinner menu has a wide variety of items to enjoy. For lunch, burgers, wraps, salads and sandwiches. For dinner, steak, seafood, pasta and Greek specialties.

Warning: Tesla chargers do not work at this location! They still come up in Tesla navigation, but none of the three stations work. We came to this restaurant just because they had chargers, but stayed anyway because we needed to eat. The food was adequate but uninspired (we ate the American items, the Greek ones were probably quite a bit better.)
Food is okay but the portions are small. You get charged for a coffee refill
It was just okay... all we got was dinner and my fiance had chicken parmesan and I had mozzarella sticks and salad. It just was not super and wasn't the worst but definitely not worth 60.00..... and it's outdated and just doesn't seem to have the same level of care that it used to.
Management listen up. My waitress was doing as good she possibly could, but at one point she was waiting on eight tables and over 20 people. This causes a delay in service she's only one person. I don't care how good you are somewhere a customer is going to be suffering service. Unfortunately, today it was me. It was very difficult for me to get a refill on my drink or my check or additional food or anything for that matter. Meanwhile, the two other women just stood by the register and watched.
I went here on a weekday morning and was impressed at how busy it was (not full, but not empty). Given the location and the diner-type menu, I thought it was a little pricey, but I was overall happy with my blueberry waffle and tea. The service was fast and efficient. My main complaint is that despite the upcharge for real maple syrup, they gave a rather small cup (maybe one ounce) and my waffle was still dry for some bites because of it.
It has been several years since we have been to Peppermints for breakfast. We were seated right away and the restaurant was about 25% full. The server waited on us shortly after being seated. We ordered corned beef hash with scrambled eggs and also 2 eggs over easy with sausage and toast. The corned beef hash was not crispy neither were the home fries. Both seemed to just heated up. The over easy eggs were done correctly, but when our orders were brought out we both only had 1 jelly for 2 slices of toast. You can't put jelly on the table? Also you also dictated what flavors I can have. The server only came around one time with coffee and the was shortly after our order was brought to the table. I guess it will be awhile again before we come back here.
Perfect spot to catch up with friends while on the road. Nice atmosphere and staff, but service slow and food not well seasoned or tasty.

We arrived and noticed the building was beat up, but that doesn't always mean anything. When we came in, it appeared they had been pretty busy. The place looks like it might be under construction? Either way, we were hungry, and the menu looked good enough. However, as we walked to our table, we noticed everyone had menus in the restaurant, and no one had food. After waiting 10 minutes, they sat a single person on one side of us and after another 5 minutes a table of 9 on our other side. We hadn't even been acknowledged by anyone when a waitress magically showed up to the big table and started taking drink orders. At that point, we decided we would leave. As soon as we stood up to leave, the waitress turned to us and said, "Has anyone helped you?" She obviously knew we were there previous to the large table. We said thanks but no thanks and left.
The service was rushed, the food looked greasy. The lights are too bright
The food used to be really good but it's not that great anymore, both dine in & delivery. Ordered country skillet-it was so so & got fish fry delivered which wasn't good all the sides tasted stale. Servers are nice. Glasses, cutlery could be cleaner.
The food and atmosphere were fine, but I was uncomfortable with how tipping was handled. When I went to pay, the server asked out loud how much I was leaving for a tip, commented on the amount, and laughed. I’ve never experienced that before, as tips are usually written on the receipt. It felt awkward and unprofessional. Sometimes people can only give what they’re able, and tipping should never be questioned or discussed at the counter. I hope management addresses this so customers don’t feel pressured or embarrassed. This experience affected what would have otherwise been a good visit.

Amanda was our waiter, she was the rudest, and was pleasant. First she gives us our drinks and doesnt ask if were ready to eat, then she makes us wait 30 min before taking our order meanwhile one other person walks in and she takes his order. The place was empty so she had no reason to be taking that long. She had a very bad attitude, and wasnt respectful. If it was me i would fire her!
I ordered a hot turkey sandwich with mashed potatoes and a California wrap for pick up on my work lunch break. When I got back to work after picking up the food, I noticed my sandwich was not turkey but roast beef with brown gravy which I don’t even really like. I immediately called to let them know and the lady said she would make a new one and I could come back to pick it up. I let her know I cannot just leave work again to go back out and pick up a new one because my lunch break is only 30 minutes so I asked if someone could deliver a hot turkey sandwich to me at my job. she said “oh no we can’t do that, I’m the only one here”…. (Which btw, she was definitely NOT the only one there because I had just left there 15 minutes prior and saw that she was not the only one there working) She then asked me what I would like her to do so I just asked for a refund for the sandwich instead. To which she said she can’t do that unless I bring the incorrect sandwich back to them. So I explained again that I can’t leave my job for a second time as my break is only 30 minutes as I had already previously stated when she suggested I come get a new one. She said sorry and didn’t know what else she could do for me. I said great, thanks for the help! And hung up. I tried to eat the roast beef sandwich and couldn’t because it was disgusting and not even hot. So it went in the trash and now I’m out $14 (I even left them a tip), I’m still hungry and unable to get food until I leave work for the day. Rest assured, I will never be back to this establishment.
My family came for a fish fry on Friday. We ended up sick? You could taste on the fish and french fries that the deep fryer oil has not been changed for some time. We left are food on the table paid are bill and left. We ended up sick all night.
