Great food, wonderful service. One of my favorites!

They do really good on specials!! I got the large pizza with pepperoni and 20 hot wings. It feed 6 people! Before that we got BBQ wings and a lrg pizza with cheese half side bacon and sausage the other pepperoni and sausage thin crust and omgg it was so good. Point is, there are really good and truly will leave you satisfied in the end. There pizza isn't greasy and they give you a even amount of wing to flats in w.e wing quantities you order!

Ate there multiple times food is awalys great and service in the restaurant part is usually top of the line.

We stopped for lunch after picking up groceries at Aldi's which is next door. They have daily lunch specials which are reasonably priced and appropriately sized lunch portions. I ordered greens for an appetizer and then had a calzone. My bride had soup and a sandwich. Everything was excellent and the soup was not salty, which it sometimes can be. Unfortunately, I didn't take pictures but we will be back. Great value. Also, the beverages are reasonable. 4 dollar beer and wine not much more. Since we buy a lot of produce at Aldi's, we will be going to Sorrento's regularly.

The pizza was soft and fresh! The crust was perfect, the cheese was so good and flavorful. I liked the sauce, the pizza was very very good.

Came in 45 minutes before closing, everyone was happy to seat us. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive, the food came out quickly and was delicious!

We went to the restaurant for our granddaughter's 1st birthday. It was wonderful. Food was so good . . Our waitress was amazing. Thank you for a memorable evening.

Sorrento's has the Best lasagna ever !! Their food has always been delicious. The servers are pleasant and very helpful. Prices are reasonable My favorite place for a great dinner !

They serve pizza by the slice weekdays at lunch, the menu is principally Italian American, and they have some bird daily specials. I enjoy their pizzas and calzones. They have a nice dining room for a more formal setting and booths in the front for a quick bite. Friendly staff. Family owned.

Stopped by Sorrento's on a whim while passing through Ilion. The atmosphere was was nice and inviting as they have a nice dining room or tables out near the counter that give it that pizzeria feel. The pizza and wings were great, nice crust on the pie and the wings were crispy which we enjoy. The have the best garlic knots I've ever had, and I eat a lot of garlic knots. Our waitress Cheryl was great... Made us feel like part of the family breaking chops and having a good time picking on each other. If you're in town stop by this joint, they won't disappoint.

This place is an excellent place to eat!! We started out expecting to be a party of 3, ended up a party of 6... the accommodated the change... no problem! The food, service and atmosphere was great!!

They have great lunch specials. Riggies $8, Greens $8, They also have sandwish and soup/salad for $10. Great deals. The regular menu is also available. I got the Chicken stir fry over rice sauteed with white wine and garlic. It was fantastic and I had enough to take home for lunch the next day. The waitperson was very nice and efficient. The dining room was packed at lunch and it seemed like she was everywhere.

Our favorite restaurant! We make this establishment a regular stop when we are in the Utica area. We especially enjoy their lunch specials. Their antipasto is Chuck full with meat, cheese, peppers, tomatoes, and red onion, and topped with a balsamic dressing unlike anything found anywhere else. I get the eggplant sandwich and my wife gets the BLT. Our waitress is absolutely the best and has been there for a long time. She remembers our orders and knows other requests we have. Always nice to see her. We are going to try their pizza which looks great and on special on Tuesdays but we haven’t yet. We highly recommended this wonderful Italian restaurant!! Update we tried the pizza today and it was excellent. Sausage and peppers with close to a perfect crust. Best we have had around Utica. This pizza was perfect for an air fryer(in warm ups) as good if not better than first consumed!

Great food, service, price!

We ordered The Utica Greens, chicken caesar wrap, a lasagna, and a chicken wing calzone. Everyone's food was awesome. The kids ordered chicken tender baskets and they were huge tenders and they loved them. I had the Lasagna and it was one of the best I've ever had and I get lasagna at a lot of places. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Had the shaved ribeye sandwich for lunch. I highly recommend it.

The lasagna was amazing! Very good sauce and a good sized piece of lasagna. My wife had the ravioli and it was also delicious. The garlic bread served with our meals was a perfect accompaniment.

Just a grab and go for us. Small pizza & wings. Perfect for watching the sunset at Eagle's Point.

The restaurant looks small until they seat you in the back room, big!! Our waitress, Cheryl, was funny, attentive, efficient and a great pleasure. We had a party of 5. The calendar was amazingly good, not rubbery like some places! We also ordered the combo appetizer platter, and it was great! Their sauce is amazing!! Our party ordered chicken perm, eggplant parm, an antipasto, and a gluten-free dish and we all loved our food. We had a great meal. 🏆

I have only been there once but what a great experience. The food was fresh and very tasty. The waitress was very friendly and helpful. We loved the lunch so much we decided to get a couple of pizzas to take home for dinner. We plan on going back soon 😊.

I’ve been eating at Sorrento for 30 years and never had a bad experience. Food is always good, prices for the most part are fair, and the atmosphere is casual and family friendly. Lunch specials are a great deal! Highly recommend if you’re going to spend money eating out - try keeping it right here in the valley at Sorrento. Ditch those chain “restaurants” that only care about corporate greed. Don’t keep feeding their pig. Instead - support a family owned business like this one. Their desserts are fantastic as well!

Extremely consistently amazing! We have eaten in a few times in the restaurant and the staff and food is just top notch. Coming from the NYC, the Bronx, the pizzas are a taste of home. Delicious crusts, great cheese and a tasty sauce. Would recommend to any in the area but even out of the area as I live in Utica and make the trek.

My family all have dietary restrictions. My brother vegetarian, sister had many food allergies and I'm just plain picky. Sorento's always has plenty for anyone dining with us. This is the safest place and fortunately the most delicious too.

Lived in and around the area for most of my life ... Stopped in for the first time to get two slices, one for me, one for my daughter. We sat, I opened that box and could not believe the slice of them ... Wow! That was the most delicious pizza I have had in many many years, and the size! The crust, I must say, was so amazing! They spread the sauce and cheese almost to the end, the crust tasted like butter, it was amazing. Now I find out that they have $10 pizzas in6 Tuesday ... I know where I'm headed if I'm in town. Wish I took a pic... Next time.

Waitress SUPER NICE! Food tasted great. Facility was clean. We were able to quickly be accommodated with a larger group. Oh did I say, the waitress was SUPER NICE! I would highly recommend a trip there with your family and friends.

Clean, great service and food. At first glance we saw the care they took in designing the interior and keeping it clean. The employees then kindly took our order making us fee like friends. Once we tasted the amazing food we knew we would return.

We were about 3 blocks away & my friend suggested we get something to eat here. We were greeted nicely even tho you could tell they were swamped. We were 2nd in line for the register to place our order, taken promptly & asked if we could sit in the back to eat. They told us that was full, but could sit anywhere in the front & did. It was the best pizza I've had in a long time. I usually only eat 1-2 piece but before I knew it I'd downed 3 of them! .

The ambiance is pure Italian! The menu offers a variety of sandwiches, pizzas and entrees. The homemade sauce is a wonderful enhancement to the plethora of pasta! Meatballs, chicken parmesan can only be topped by a delicious Cannolli! Mangia!

My wife treated me to a belated birthday dinner Saturday night. She had the medium heat Chicken Riggies and I had the Italian Trio special that consisted of Lasagna, Chicken Parmesan, and Linguini Alfredo. Both meals were out of this world great tasting and generously portioned. I usually get the Chicken Alfredo, but wanted to try something different as everything that comes out of the kitchen looks phenomenal. I was not disappointed. The pasta was cooked perfectly, the chicken was crispy and flavorful. Our server was excellent as well, very friendly and knowledgeable. The prices are very reasonable, especially for the quality and quantity of their meals. Sorrento's has become our favorite restaurant in all the surrounding areas. As for the pizza, we drive 40 minutes one way to get it here because it is the absolute best around.

A community favorite, I’ve come here many times! Pizzeria section up front. Dining room next door feels cozy and nostalgic. Great menu, consistent quality Italian American. Fast friendly service. Comparable pricing to elsewhere in the area. Recommend them for dinner and take-out.

First and foremost...OUTSTANDING FOOD! I came here with my buddy today! I had the lasagna special, 10 wings, and he ordered a small mushroom pizza!! Lasagna is my favorite food, and I know excellent lasagna when I taste it!! I had excellent, even outstanding, lasagna at Sorrento's!! In all seriousness, it was the best lasagna I've had in months!! The wings were perfectly cooked! My buddy loved his pizza!! Even better than the meal, was our very friendly, outgoing, and professional server named Dante!! On a scale from 1 to 10...this meal was easily a 10 (Outstanding)! Thanks Dante!! You were awesome!!

Fresh, tasty good food. Engaging waitress who knows her food. Came back a couple of years later during a shift change and construction. Waitress was kind but not overly attentive. Pasta salad was good but a little off seasoning wise. Calzone wasn’t soggy! Egglant sub was soggy and very little sauce or cheese. Flavor was good. The beef sub was really good. We’ll come back!

We stopped in for lunch after riding 30 miles from Rome on the Erie Canal Trail. Appetizer was a loaded tater tots dish, yowza! Delicious, just enough to whet the appetites of thred bicyclists. Next a full Caesar salad, very nice. Finally a half order of rigatoni (the "riggie"), delicious and plenty of food. I could not have eaten a full order. Did I say finally? We finished of with a slice of pumpkin cheesecake (a little 4" cheesecake all by itself) topped with nuts and whipped cream. Mmmm. Great food, friendly waitstaff, reasonable prices. Excellent value!

I always get Chicken Riggies when I'm at Sorrento for dinner. This time I tried the Buffalo Chicken Riggies and man oh man are they amazing. I've been coming here since I was a kid and the Magro family has kept the same sauce and recipes going all these years. They take care of the kids that come in for a slice and coke even after all these years. The pizza is unparalleled to anywhere else and is a must try. You won't be di as appointed.

Best restaurant in town! Whether you’re a local or visiting, you won’t find a better place to eat. I had their signature Utica Greens, and a grilled chicken spinach salad. Both were prepared to order, the service was excellent, and the restaurant was very clean and well maintained. The garlic bread was excellent as well. You’ll find all of your Italian favorites here.

Decent pizza but nothing fantastic. I haven't had anything else except the pizza so can't speak about the rest of the menu. The people at the counter were friendly and the prices are fair.

Best lasagna in town. We order a full tray every holiday and a half tray for small gatherings, never any leftovers!

Turkey foccacia sandwich to die for! So yummy and fresh!!! Pizza not so much. Some folks will love this type of cheese and crust and not notice the bland, barely there sauce. I was surprised because a sit down restaurant with pasta dishes usually has great sauce for pasta AND pizza. Maybe an off day?

Had such a wonderfull experience yesterday celebrating my wifes' mothers' 92nd birthday with dinner and cake at sorrentos in ilion. Shame on me for not remembering our fantastic waitresses name. This was a reservation dinner at 6:00pm. Service was fast and very efficient. Our waitress was on top of everything thruout the dinner for 7. Food was excellent. Had absolutely no complaints. Thanks to the whole staff. 👍👍

Always good quality food no matter what you order. You can’t go wrong with the greens Salvatore, any of their hot sandwiches and their pizza is fantastic as well. Definitely a gem to have them here in the valley.

The food and drink were good, I had the spinach and ricotto ravioli (gluten free). The service lacked a little. Our server would did come and check on us, but would not really wait for responses or questions. The atmospherr was quiet and calming, great for a date.

Always a great experience and Francesca always caters to our allergies.

Good very good except one time I ordered baked ziti and the sauce was watery and I think because they didn't take the water out of the macaroni as good as they could of so it made my sauce soupy.. other than that it's a great place to eat

Very consistent experience. It seemed like yesterday when they moved into their building and I had not eaten here in almost that amount of time. It was as good as I remembered. How they have been able to keep that same flavor and experience over such a long time is amazing. I was in town visiting some folks and we chose Sorrento's, good choice. I will suggest it the next time I'm in town.

This restaurant is a locals favorite, and even when it’s large enough, there could be a wait. Warmly decorated and clean. Our server was very sweet and efficient. They have an extensive menu. The Utica greens are a great starter, or a good side dish, and they are a favorite dish for the patrons. The eggplant Rollatini is very differenly prepared, as it is not breaded. The marinara sauce that comes over it is light, chunky and tasty.

Three stars because they were open on a Tuesday. Ridiculously slow service when the place is nearly empty. Waitresses that walk past you without even looking. Thin sub sandwich with ten times the lettuce than meat. Definitely a minimal place to eat.

Our server was great!! Food was so-so, but could have just been an off night. We will try it again!

Do NOT order pepperoni pizza from here. For $16 bucks it's the most bland, tasteless pizza I've had in a while. (Bosco sticks are overpriced too) Their Buffalo chicken pizza on the other hand is really good, and so are their sandwiches. But seriously, Little Caesars makes way better pepperoni pizzas at $6 a pop. So, step your game up Sorrentos.

It's okay, I was disappointed in the chicken riggies. I got the medium, as the waiter recommended, in case the hot was too spicy but it was very bland. Huge portions and family friendly atmosphere. To be fair, my mom LOVED her lasagna.

Sorrentos is another ilion staple. Been there since i was in grade school. I remember enjoying it when i was younger but that has definately changed. The pizza isnt as good as it once was. It seemed the service has gotten ruder and ruder as time went on as well and for the most part i abondoned the place because of that. I recently was told that i need to try thier subs cus they are so good. I decided to give the benefit of the doubt. I have to say the only good part of the sub was the meat. The rest of it would of probably been better if the bottom was not completely drenched and soggy with italian dressing. The tomatos were so thin that i couldnt even tell that they existed on the sub. Also the 3 little pieces of onion on the sub really brought some flavor, is what i would be saying if i could taste them through the italian dressing. Def Not impressed.

All I can say is that I haven’t ordered from here in awhile so decided to order some calzones and what a mistake they were all dough inside not properly cooked no flavor at all and I had yo recook them myself and the sauce was all watery with no taste. I hope they get back to better quality food and taste soon.

Ordered a pizza and calzone. Calzone was under cooked and the can mushrooms were terrible. Pizza was blah. I usually like their food and have been there many times. I will not order their calzone again.

This was my favorite place for a long time until recently… Past three times in a row I’ve ordered and received an old, cold, cut incorrectly, pizza. It is a shame because the pies used to be the best around not to long ago. Not to sure what changed.

My eggplant dinner was inedible. The thin slices were so oil drenched and hardly any sauce. I couldn't eat it. I wish they'd go back to serving great food again. I don't like posting negatively, especially here because the help is so sweet.

NOT favorable!! My first time at Sorrento, and I wasn't impressed! I wanted to try the pizza...so I ordered 2 slices and a Pepsi! It took 10-12 minutes just to get my drink from my server Bri W.!! Then it took another 15 minutes to get my slices!! I wanted a refill and Bri W. was nowhere to be found! So...I had to ask another server to get my refill! UNACCEPTABLE! I finally saw Bri again, when I was all done eating! The slices were good, but the service was terrible!! Bri W. appeared like she didn't want to be there! TBH...she didn't deserve a tip, but I still left one anyway! I'll only go back if she's NOT my server!!

$100.00 for antipasta, pizza and wings. And there isn't anything there! Not the same nor up to standards!

I ordered delivery eggplant parm, and gingerale. I'm 70 home sick with pneumonia. I got an eggplant sub. No gingerale. Kid took the 5.00 tip. It was horrid. I know Pat and Cindy. I asked for the manager, he said I will give you 10.00 credit. Wow so I basically git a sub that cost 30.00 I use to love the food. Past few times it's very bad............

Stick with the pizza, it's decent. We tried the fish and without accusing anyone of dishonesty, that was the oddest tasting and texture for any haddock I've ever had. We'll not be trying that again. Our recent (October) visit here was less than great. We've always relied on Sorrento to be a good place with a good value, but this was not the case this time. Maybe, hopefully, it was simply an off night. It started with the podium greeter informing us that we should have had a reservation (after we'd tried to make one and was told they don't do reservations). When we told her that she replied that they do them for Fridays. OK, well... how does one know that until they are told? We didn't wait over long for a table for all that and the server was great. All their servers are great! Too bad the food wasn't up to par this time.

We couldn’t finish our food because we were freezing. It wasn’t just us. Other customers complained too. I realize it’s hot in the kitchen but you paying customers were freezing. I think you need to figure out out to keep the kitchen cool without freezing your customers.

I ordered baked ziti for take out and it sucked. Ziti pasta with a little sauce and melted mozzarella. YOU ARE NOT ITALIAN AND SHOULDN'T OWN AND SERVE FAKE FOOD. Go somewhere and learn to cook Italian. Baked ziti is supposed to be mixed with ricotta and Italian spices mixed with sauce and pasta covered with mozzarella and baked. This meal was an embarrassment. Not only was it not done correctly but there were spaghetti pasta intertwined. 🤮. NEVER AGAIN.

Just left this place and was treated like a second class citizen. Worse service ever. Didn’t even feel welcomed. Couldn’t get out of there fast enough.

I ordered a calzone and they forgot my side of sauce. Instead of calling and complaining, I got in my car and drove all the way back for them to give me a tablespoon of tomato sauce in a tiny dipping cup for an entire calzone. Waste of time.

my last 4 orders were horrible. I get the antipasto $14 toss salad. the owner waited on us no smile freaken so unfriendly. drops our plates on our table and walks away. Last night l ordered a sub completely wrong. pizza shops are every place so I am done with this one.

Ordered here before and was good. Ordered tonight and was the worst food ever. My kids chicken tenders were burnt and almost black, my sub had so much vinegar on it i couldn't taste anything else and tossed it. My gf ordered a chicken wing calzone and got a sub, which those tenders were also burnt.

The food was ok but the service was TERRIBLE! The waitresses were miserable and only came to us when we flagged her down for something specific. We'll definitely skip this place the next time we're in town.

Wings were terribly made. Mild sauce was all watery and chicken wasn't fully cooked. Very disappointed.

So made an order over the phone and an item made completely wrong. I was directed to the manager l ordered a steak, cheese and sweet peppers in a wrap. All that I got was a small amount of steak. I was told the ticket didn't state that but if you'd like we can make some peppers and you can come get them. Spend a lot money there over the years. I did not make the error. I said I'd like a new one done correctly and was told can't do that. Just what I want cold steak and to run back and grab peppers. Won't spend another penny there! Not good business!

We eat quite often at Sorrentos and usually their food is pretty good. Recently we ordered Philly cheese steaks to go, they were horrible. No onions or peppers, we ordered mayo and there was none. They were so dry we had a hard time swallowing them. Had we ordered to eat there they would have been refunding our money. We live way out of town and that was dinner so we had no choice. But, we would never order a sub from there again. Their pasta is pretty good and their fish frys are good. Went there a couple weeks ago, will probably be the last. Sat waiting for our food and watched the owner who was handling food, she went to a cooler several times and took food out and ate it with her fingers, went back to what she was doing, never washed her hands, no gloves...stopped to talk to other employees fixing her hair, hands all over her face, again never washed her hands.The wrong person will see that one day. Totally disgusting!!

If no star was a option I would definitely click that. I had a clump of hair literally cooked in my food. All I was offered was a free cheese pizza next time (there will be no next time) I will not support this business anymore. The crust was hard so my 10 month old daughter didn't even get anything. Never again!

Ordered a Cobb salad didn’t know there was blue cheese on it (doesn’t say in description on menu) brought it home and seen there was blue cheese. Called to ask for a new one without the cheese. They wouldn’t replace it even though the salad was completely untouched (said since it was in my possession already they couldn’t replace it) They said they would have to charge me for another $17 salad just threw the one I had in the trash waste of $17

Food was old. Had lasagna and noodles in quite a few places were hard. I noticed also a weird taste then I stopped trying to eat. Didn't even eat half. I was taken out for my birthday and didn't want people I was with to know how bad it was. People in that kitchen had to know that was not acceptable to give to someone. Food is expensive and felt that they just pawned it off on me. Thanks for such a terrible experience
